Jungkook was sitting with Jimin in the conference room of Kim Enterprises. He was waiting for CEO Namjoon to sign the deal.

"I can't believe they agreed. I can't even remember how many months it has been since we wanted to work with them." Jimin spoke excitedly, glancing around the conference room.

"It has hardly been five months since I met her. I can't believe I fell in love with her and I'm unable to move on." Jungkook mumbled lowly, as he looked down. 

His face wasn't cold anymore. It had gotten smaller and he had lost weight too. He had become too careless to take care of his health. 

Constantly skipping meals, overworking himself, being rude to his employees, and not daring to enter his room since the time Ara left him- these were the only things he did for the last two months and it was his new normal. He would hug her dress every night that she left that day and weep. Her scent wasn't there on the dress anymore, but Jungkook still slept hugging the dress as if it was Ara.

After Ara left, he called Jimin right away while hiccupping and crying. Jimin was too shocked to hear him weeping loudly. 

Jimin rushed to meet him that day and as soon as he entered the younger's house, Jungkook ran and embraced the older while crying and ranting everything to him. The whole confession broke Jimin's heart. He had never seen Jungkook crying so much. 

Jimin still remembered the last time Jungkook cried like this when he was sixteen and he got the news that his parents died in a car accident. He met all the guests and finished the rituals with a straight face. However, once he was left alone with Jimin, he let out everything. 

And since then, he never shed tears until two months back.

"Kook?" Jimin checked cautiously, placing his hand on the younger's shoulder to pull him back to reality. "Just forget her. We have come here to make your dreams come true."

Jungkook nodded his head, acknowledging everything his best friend was saying. He laughed at how crazy he had become. His mind was a mess and all he could think was about Ara.

The whole atmosphere changed when Namjoon walked inside the conference room with a file in his hand. He had worn a white dress shirt and a two-piece black pant suit. His black tie was tied perfectly and it enhanced his appearance. 

His muscular, tall appearance changed the aura of the room. He had a dominating personality, but his wide, dimple smile made him appear really polite and cute. 

Jungkook and Jimin rose to their feet and smiled gently. They shook hands with Namjoon and took their seats again. 

Namjoon sat across from Jimin. "I hope you both are doing well." He inquired politely, adjusting his tie and then glancing at Jungkook's appearance. 

They had seen each other at different parties several times, but Namjoon hardly got a chance to look at him this closely. 

Jungkook was dressed in all-black outfit as if he was some gang leader, but his face appeared somewhat tired. No matter how well he had set his hair, his tired eyes and creases on his forehead said a whole different story. 

"Shall we start?" Jimin inquired when he noticed Namjoon staring at Jungkook's face a bit longer than expected.

Before Namjoon could speak, the door burst open, revealing two more people. Namjoon quickly stood up and bowed before introducing them to the other two males that were already present.

"Meet the CEO of Kim Enterprises, Kim Sarang." 

Jimin and Jungkook's minds were blown at the new information. So, Ara was Sarang? Did she lie about her name? Jungkook checked her appearance and he was left impressed by her look. 

She wore a beige blazer paired with matching pants and a plain white shirt tucked inside, looking as graceful as ever. Her hair was neatly tied into a low bun and some strands were purposely left aloof to beautify her look. 

The sleeves of the blazer were folded upwards giving her a total 'diva' look. She carried minimal to no jewelry and wore minimalistic makeup, except for the fact that the maroon lipstick she had applied was the cherry on top of her look.

When Jungkook glanced down, she had worn white sneakers which made Jungkook let out a chuckle. He was aware by now that she didn't prefer wearing heels. When he spent some three weeks with her in the past while taking her on frequent dates, she always wore sneakers.

"What made you laugh?" Jungkook heard a male voice. When he turned his head, he noticed Taehyung standing beside Sarang. His hand was placed securely around her waist as he stood with a poker face and a raised brow.

Jungkook poked the insides of his left cheek in jealousy. When he glanced at Sarang's expressions, her face was cold, void of any expressions. "Shall we begin?" She inquired coldly, not waiting for an answer as she sat on the chair at the host's seat. 

"Do you need anything?" Taehyung inquired softly, to which Sarang shook her head with a smile.

Jungkook had to accept that the maroon lipstick she had applied to her lips made her look really sexy. He felt like leaving the meeting and claiming her lips right away. However, he was aware he couldn't do anything with her.

When he had been meeting her in the past, she appeared like a cute little girl. However, glancing at the girl sitting beside him appeared like the lady boss that she was.

Jungkook was left baffled though. What was she doing here? Wasn't her last name Kang? Did that mean she married Taehyung? The way the model was taking care of her appeared as if they came out of a romantic drama. 

If she had money, then why would she do that job? And if she was going to get married to Taehyung, then why did she sleep with Jungkook? He had too many questions and only Ara... Sarang could answer. 

Jungkook decided to concentrate on the meeting and then talk with Sarang. He needed answers, but his curiosity could wait.

Once the meeting concluded and they signed the deal, everyone stood in their seats. Jungkook continued to side-eye Sarang and when he noticed she wasn't even glancing at him, his heart ached. 

"Shall we leave?" Taehyung asked Namjoon, receiving a nod immediately. 

He walked toward Sarang and was about to guide her out until he remembered something. He turned his body toward Jungkook and stretched out his hand. 

"Hello, Mister Jeon! I'm Kim Taehyung, Sarang's brother. Nice to meet you!" 

Those words were enough for Jungkook to sit on his chair with a loud thud, making everyone look at him worriedly except for Sarang.

"Jungkook?" Jimin asked hurriedly, as he crouched down in front of Jungkook to check if he was fine or not.

The sudden confession was too much for both of them to take. But he could understand how shocked it would have left Jungkook. 

"Are you okay, Mister Jeon?" Taehyung asked worriedly as well.

"So he isn't dating Ara? Jimin, they aren't dating?" Jungkook chanted with his eyes wide open and mouth agape. His eyes shone as he spoke those words while glancing at Jimin.

However, the Kim siblings were shocked more than the other two. Why would they date each other when they were born to the same parents? And those words of Jungkook finally made Sarang turn and look at Jungkook with a perplexed face.

Taehyung and Sarang glanced at each other and that was when realization hit them. 

So, all the misunderstandings that happened between Jungkook and her were because he had assumed that Ara was dating Taehyung. 

And instead of clearing those doubts, he assumed things and tried to give her money, leaving the girl heartbroken. 

She had fallen in love with Jungkook earlier than he did. And she willingly gave her virginity to Jungkook. She would have understood his actions if he tried to clear things up with her, but instead, he chose to hurt her and make her feel as if he regretted every precious moment they shared. He even let her go instead of fighting for her.

Sarang wanted to laugh at Jungkook's stupidity, but she had to maintain her composure.

Without sparing another glance, she walked out of the conference room elegantly which made Taehyung and Namjoon follow her.

I can see your faces, literally. You all must be so furious yet laughing your hearts out, I'm sure of this.

How was it? I could see you all imagining Tae and Ara dating in the previous chapters. And whenever I read those comments, I was like, "How will they react when they get to know the reality?" Ngl, I was making fun of you all because I hid the whole suspense well, and I'm proud of myself for becoming a better writer every day.

I have stopped making mistakes so that my readers don't catch on the suspense.

But those of you who have read all my books clearly know that I come up with some weird ending. So now I need to be careful with the storyline. I can't let you guys become smarter than me 🤓
