Chapter Two:
Her Love For Them

After two hours of shopping, we were finally finished. The boys groaned the whole time. Elijah started showing both Finn and Kol the newest technology.

As we left the shops I took everyone to the Mansion I brought. I was excited about their reactions. I was bouncing on my toes as my siblings were laughing at my reaction.

When we got to the house everyone was amazed at the beauty of it. I smiled at their reaction.
"Okay you can have any room but the one locked that one is mine, and the one across from it is Beks I had it decorated just for her."

I told them smiling. With that I pulled my phone out and called Stefan Salvatore.
"Hello?" I heard him say. I heard his voice break slightly from something.

"Hello Stefan," I told him slightly worried for him.
"Are you okay?" I asked him. I felt my siblings looking at me knowing I never ask anyone that that.

"Yeah, I'm fine. What do you need Nicole?" Stefan asked me clearing his throat.
"I need to cash in my favor," I told him smiling softly.
"What is it?" He asked wearily.

"Being me the doppelgänger. I know she is alive. I want her at the address I send you in one hour. Deal?"
"Deal," he told me reluctantly before hanging up.

With that, I texted him the address and looked at all seeing my siblings staring at me.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Nothing," they all replied shaking their heads.

I just shook it off and realized I had an errand to run. "I will be back in an hour. I have an errand to run," I told them and with that I walked out of the house. I missed my sibling looking at where my body stood still stunned but just shook it off and went to look for a room.

I sped to get some gasoline and a lighter with that I went to Wickery Bridge. I poured gasoline all over the bridge and the sign. I made sure to keep a piece to kill my father with.

I then set the bridge on fire and watched it burn, but when I heard sirens I immediately left and sped to the mansion. When I got there I saw Stefan and Elena waiting for me.

"Stefan! Thank you!" I told him and walked up to Elena who was shaking in fear and unclipped her necklace and put it in my pocket.

"You will sit down and not say a word. You will listen to what I say," I told her compelling her, and she sits in the chair closest to her. I then called the nurse and she started taking her blood.

When Elena was getting far too pale I stopped it. I walked over to her and fed her a little bit of my blood just enough to heal her. I then looked into her eyes.
"You will forget you were ever here. You will think you spent the day in the woods thinking about your know dead father." I told and she then repeated everything I said in a monotone voice.

I smiled at that and then compelled her to sleep. I turned around to see Stefan standing there. He looked confused but didn't do anything.
"What?" I told him noticing he wanted to say something.

"You are not as evil as you think you are," he told me and I froze at that.
"What?" I asked him softly.
"Katherine told what you did. You also could have done anything, but instead had me bring my ex-girlfriend to you and then healed her. Why do you act so heartless?" He asked me looking into my eyes.

"Because if you act heartless, then no one can hurt you," I told him softly looking down.

"Why did you do it?" He asked me all the sudden. I looked at him confused about what he meant.
"What?" I asked him.
"Why did you dagger your siblings?" He asked me. I sighed looking down before looking back up into Stefans eyes.

"You know Finn hated what we were, he just despised it. He was so depressed because of what we became. Every day I had to watch life leave my oldest brother's eyes. It destroyed me, so when he was daggers I didn't pull it out. I didn't because I knew he was released from the pain of his existence, but he still had the terrible pain in his heart from the dagger. I tried to made sure he was safe and happy even if he wasn't with me. So I kept him dagger until I could find a way to help him."

I told Stefan softly trying not to cry. I walked into the living room and sit down. Stefan followed me sitting beside me.
"Why Rebekah?" He asked me reaching to hold me hand. I smiled softly at him before answering his question knowing in needed this off my chest.

"Rebekah had two dreams her entire life. It was to have kids and find true love. Becoming a vampire made it so she couldn't have kids, so she looked for love. You know she blames me for killing everyone she loved and I tell her because they do not deserve her, and I was right. Because they all used her and every time I overheard them talking bad about her or saying they were using her I killed them. I wanted my sister to have a love like no other," I told him leaning my head back to stop the tears especially from what I was going to say next.

"You know she sent my father after me. I knew it the second he found us. I saw the broken and guilty look in her eyes, and I figured it out. I didn't say anything I just held her as she cried not knowing that to say. The last time I daggered her was because she didn't want to leave someone we loved. We were being chased by our abusive father. I know that if she went back for him that she would be killed so I daggered her and lost my best friend to save her. So over the years without her knowing I looked trying to help her find at least one of her dreams and I think I can halfway make one truth."

I told him with tears falling down my face. He rubbed circle on my hand and looked into my eyes.
"Why Kol?" He asked me softly knowing I needed this off my chest. He didn't understand why I was trusting him with this but was beyond happy that I was. He smiled softly at him as I remembered my moments with Kol.

"Kol was my other half for so long. We was basically my twin, we even called the chaotic duo," I told him with a happy smile on my face but it vanished when I remembered why I did what I did.

"He was a witch before we turned, so whenever I couldn't sleep or my fears got the best of me he would do some spells so I could watch till I fell asleep. He was my biggest protector even though he was my younger brother. When we became vampires he lost that side. I understand kind of what he went through since I lost my werewolf side, but not fully since I would get it back. So every time I looked at him I felt so guilty. I couldn't look him in the eyes so I distanced myself," I told him trying not to sob thinking about losing my best friend.

"He doesn't know it but I looked everywhere to find some way to get his magic back and I never gave up. The last time I daggered him was because I saw that look in his eyes he was destroyed and broken. I couldn't see it and I wanted to take his pain away by giving it to me. Even if it destroyed me," I told Stefan and he saw I was close to breaking down and pulled me closer to him and I cuddled into his chest as tears poured out of my eyes.

I pulled away from him looking in his eyes as I talked.
"You know I am the one who killed our mother. I didn't kill her because of placing the curse on me. I killed her for taking Rebekah's dream, for making Finn hate his existence, for making Elijah fear falling in love and taking Kols magic," I told him as he wiped my tears away. Stefan w looked at me like he was thinking of something.

"What?" I asked him.
"How did you know what their pain felt like?" Stefan asked me catching what I said earlier. I froze at that since no one knew.

"You can't tell anyone okay?" I told him softly and he nodded.
"I had a witch do I spell. The daggers cause terrible pain but I lessened it by giving most of it to myself. I also had a witch cast a spell to put them somewhere safe in their minds. They could do anything and dream of whatever they wanted," I told him softly with tears pouring down my face.

"Why did you tell me all this?" He asked softly. I sighed and then I looked into his eyes and decide it was time.
"Remember," I compelled him.

Stefan had flashes of memories coming into his mind. He saw his self happy. Truly happy with Rebekah and Nicole. His humanity on and bloodlust in control. A few memories he saw and just stared.

It was Stefan and Nicole. Nicole was craving some food so he took her shopping. She got in the buggy not wanting to walk as he pushed her around picking up everything she said to get.

The next memory was when he woke up after having a nightmare of his ripper days. Nicole immediately brought him into a hug. She hugged him close with her legs wrapped around his waist whispering to him that we wasn't a monster over and over again.

The next memory was when Nicole wanted to go swimming in the lake. As Stefan was trying to get out she jumped on his back. She was just of laughing as Rebekah smiled at them.

The next one was of Stefan and Rebekah. They were having a pillow fight after Stefan ate the last of her chocolate ice cream. Nicole was dying laughing at them as she ate the ice cream Rebekah beloved Stefan ate.

It then switched to Stefan on Rebekahs back. They were testing to see who was the strongest so Stefan jumped on Rebekahs back. They were laughing and Rebekah was telling Stefan to get down even with a smile on her face.

It then switched to Nicole and Rebekah. Stefan heard of a new restaurant and wanted to take the girls out to eat as a thank you. As they were eating they saw a girl reject a guy's proposal. Rebekah turned to cover her laughter as Nicole just laughed openly. Stefan was getting on to both of them for laughing as he tried not to laugh too.

The last memory was the day before his memories were complied away. Nicole and Rebekah pulled him out to eat breakfast. As they were eating Nicole brought Rebekah into a hug and Rebekah just smiled at her. Stefan was watching them a hug smirk on his face beyond happy.

When he opens his eyes he was stunned until he saw Nicole and immediately pulled her into a hug.

She broke down crying in his arms, finally having her best friend back.
"I missed you, Steffie!" I told him crying into his shoulder.

"I missed more Moony!" He told her holding her tightly rubbing her back as she cried.

He didn't even think about ever letting go. Finally after such a long time he had his other half in his arms again. He had his best friend. His savior. But most importantly his anchor.

3rd POV:

What neither Nicole nor Stefan knew was that the other four Mikaelsons were listening to their entire conversation. All of them had tears pouring out of their eyes not knowing how much their sister did for them.

"She was protecting me and I didn't even know it," Finn told them softly feeling terrible for hating his sister. When all she wanted to do was protect him from his self.

"She looked for a way to get my magic back?" Kol said them stunned not knowing she did that.

"I finally understand why she did it," Kol told them looking completely broken for thinking his sister hated him when in truth she did the most for him and never gave up on trying to him up.

"That was way she killed them all," Rebekah said softly with tears pouring out her eyes feeling terrible for believing her sister was a monster but in truth she was protecting her from heart break.

"She wanted me to have at least one of my dreams and never stopped looking for a way to help me. And she knew about what I did." Rebekah was broken especially when she learned her sister knew what she did and her hated her. She sent her father after her sister to so she could fine love when Nicole was just trying to help and protect her.

"She killed our other because of what she did to us," Elijah told them still stunned but with guilt. He always thought he needed to find his sister's redemption but he was wrong she never needed to be redeemed just understand.

They all stood there thinking about what they just learned and finally understanding why their sister was the way she was.

It was because of her love for them.

Authors Note: So that was a lot if you are confused pleased ask. By the way, Stefan and Rebekah were never together they were best friends. Rebekah wanted Nicole to find love for once and tried to get them together. She believed Stefan was perfect for Nicole. Nicole and Stefan are best friends for right now at least.
