Chapter 5:
Do You Think You Can Stay?

The next day Nicole felt better and walked downstairs to see Kol waiting for her.
"Hey, Kola what up?" She asked him with a small smile and kissed his cheek.

"We need to talk," he told her and she could see his seriousness.
"Okay what's wrong?" She asked and he then lead her to the living room and sit down with her beside him.

"I think you are a witch," Kol told her. Nicole froze at that not knowing what to think.
"What?" She asked him softly. He handed her a candle knowing she won't believe it without proof.

"Say incendia and concentrate," Nicole was confused at what he said but followed his directions. When she did she lit the candle on fire.

They were both surprised but Kol was excited to show his sister magic. As the weeks went on they learned she was a core witch. Kol taught her everything he knew, but all she could think about was how to help him.

One night she finally figured it out how to. She ran downstairs and pulled Kol outside. Everyone was confused at what was doing what she said nothing.
"Sister, what are you doing?" Kol asked her confused at her actions.

Nicole looked at the sky and saw it was a full moon. Tomorrow she was going to rescue Enzo and get the ascendant from Jo.

"I'm helping you," Nicole told him softly and grabbed his hands and imagined founding a cord that connected him to his magic, and attaching it with hers. Kol gasped feeling his magic come back. He looked at her wide eyed before pulling her into a hug.

"Did it work?" She asked him softly. Kol nodded already knowing it worked because he could feel it running throw his veins. He picked his sister up and starting to spin her around smiling and laughing feeling complete for the first time in a 1000 years.

Nicole was beyond happy to finally help her brother get back what was lost. The next day Nicole planned everything on rescuing Enzo. It was just going to be Caroline and Nicole though.

"Hey Care you ready?" Nicole asked her not noticing someone checking her out, and looking at her long legs that were exposed. He was looking at her with pure adoration. She didn't noticed, but everyone else did.

"Yeah let's go," Caroline told her with a smile, and with that, both girls walked out the door towards the car with a smile.

"When are you going to tell her Stefan?" Rebekah asked him looking at the awe-struck look on his face.
"What do you mean?" Stefan asked her as he came out his trance.

"You are in love with our sister," Finn told him matter of factly. Stefan was shocked at that not wanting to believe it.

"She's my best friend that's all," Stefan told them trying to convince his self more than anything.
"Right," Kol told him with a smirk.

Stefan then started to think, I am in love with her?

Caroline and Nicole got to the college that night and started looking as listening around to see or hear if anyone was in the building. They walked into the building and went into the basement looking for Enzo.

Nicole let Caroline go first. As they got to the basement they heard other person beside Enzo heart beating.

Caroline went to release Enzo while Nicole went to get whatever doctor was there and saw Maxfield. When she pulled Maxfield as she saw Caroline and Enzo talking.

"Here you go Enzo," Nicole told him pushing the doctor into his arms. Enzo killed him right away.
"Now let's go," Nicole told him and give him a daylight ring. While walking out of the building Nicole set it on fire.

"Okay you two go back to the hotel room and I have to go steal something," Nicole told them walked off.
They both looked at her weirdly but just shook it off and walked away.

Nicole got to Jo's apartment and broke into it after hearing that no one was home. She looked around realizing in the show she talked about it under her pillow before moving it to her sock drawer.

Getting the ascendant Nicole spelled a pair of socks to look like another one and then she left the apartment to go to the hotel they were staying at. Getting there she saw Enzo and Caroline talking and laughing.

"Are you both ready to go?" She asked them and they both jumped not hearing her come in. They nodded at her and then got into the car and headed to the Mikaelsons Mansion.

"Hello, Family!" Nicole screamed walking into the house. Enzo and Caroline laughed at her antics.
"Sister you leave for a few hours and come back with a man," Elijah said a confused look on his face about who was with Caroline and his sister.

"Right this is Enzo, Enzo this is my siblings Rebekah, Finn, Kol, and Elijah, and that is my best friend Stefan," I told him pointing at each of them with a smile.

"Enzo is going to stay with us for a while," I told them and then walked off to the backyard. Kol following me.

"Hey what are you doing?" He asked coming up behind me.
"I'm going to go rescue someone from a prison world want to help?" I asked him with a smirk. He immediately smirked back. With that, we did the spell already having Bennett blood.

After a bright light, we opened our eyes seeing an empty Mystic Falls.
"Okay I need to astral project to find him," I did the spell and opened my eyes to see Kai sitting in the White House eating Pork Rinds.

"Kai Parker are you ready to be freed?" I asked him as I grabbed his hand and transported him back to where my body and Kol were waiting.

"What the hell?" Kai screamed when he opened his eyes looking confused and like he was about to kill us.
"Sorry about that. I'm Nicole that is my brother Kol and we are here to free you. All catchup? Good," I told and grabbed the ascendant he had in his jacket and begin doing the spell to send us back.

When we got back I felt exhausted. Doing all that magic and decided I was ready to go to sleep. I looked at Kol with tried eyes.
"Kol show him around I am going to sleep," I told him and as I walked upstairs into a room I saw Stefan sitting on my bed.

"Stefan what are you doing?" I asked him walking up to him.
"I wanted to check on you," he told me putting his hands on my cheek rubbing it softly. I felt myself starting to blush but tried not to.

"Thanks, I was just about to go asleep," I told him walking to my closet to get changed.
"Right I will let you do that," he told starting to walk out of the room.

"Wait!" I yelled out to him coming out of my closet with my pajamas on. He stopped and turned to me with confusion on his face.

"Do you think you could stay?" I asked him softly. He smiled at me and came closer to me and pulled me over to the bed. I laid on his chest his he ran his fingers through my hair.

"Sleep," he told kissing my forehead. I smiled and closed my eyes falling asleep right away. Always feeling completely safe in his arms.

Authors Note: So Kai and Enzo are saved. I was thinking about a few more chapters before we head to New Orleans where everything happens. Maybe just the ball and the revival of the mother Mikaelsons and Stefan and Nicole.
