Vaidharbhi...

The horse was rushing at its maximum speed. The guy who held the knife at my neck now slowly lifted down. I wanted to jump but he held me by my waist and crashed me in his hard chest making me squirm in shame. His touches were inappropriate making me shake in tears. He was inhaling me as a beast. I tried hard to pry myself from him but he pulled me back making me tear up hard. 

"Where do you think you are going mutt ??" he whispered in my ears wanting me to die this instant. "After we behead you i will be the one who would drink your blood and give you to my lord". 

My blood turned cold. They want to kill me and that too by beheading me. Oh lord mahadev the destroyer of evil, please save me from them or give me death but never let them touch me in any manner. 

Suddenly the horse stopped running and he threw me to the ground making me scream in pain. He just held me by my hair and pulled me up. Holding my shoulder he just pushed me to the ritual place. I wanted to run and i did that. I ran but i was not as fast as i thought. There was another monster who stood infront of me. I tried hard to stop myself and when i tried to escape he held me by my arm and pushed me down in a harsh force. I tried to get up but i can feel i was been hurt and the blood starts to seep through my skin. And i can even think of anything a sudden hard metal hit my head making me dizzy. Everything around me turned black and the darkness lulled me to make me forget whatever is going to happen to me from them. 

Everything around here was now peace.

Abhayankara...

Everything around here turned chaos. One moment her little hand was in my clutches but the next she was far gone with the thugs. The way he held her with his hair wanted me to slice his wrist from his hand. The nerve of him. 

I screamed and ran towards the horse which was riding with Vaidharbhi. She tried hard to scream but i know something there is making her stop. She kept her hands out for me to reach and i am so not loosing her now. Rushing to her i removed the sword from the scabbard and ran as faster as i can. Who so ever tried to stop me would answer my sword. 

All the time i was screaming her name while i lost the sight of the horse and her bangle covered hand. The hand just disappeared. When i rushed into the forest everything was pitch black. I couldn't guess which side to choose. There were three routes in front of me. I cannot be late. I walked to my left for some foot and rushed to the right and started to run. Why i chose right i never knew. All i know was to go to her and save her from them. Screaming her name i ran as faster as i can. 

As faster as i can i rushed and suddenly i the paths around was getting clear. Thanks to the gods who made me choose this path. Now i can think positively where she is. The place was abandon but suddenly a horse came running towards my direction. Looking keenly i thought that i had seen this horse before. Realisation sank when i came to know which horse is this. 

Thug's horse. The anger in me was now ten folds. Before i can even kill that , it fell on the ground begging for me to save and slowly i walked and found its body been pierced with few arrows. Before i could even take a step further i found few hulks with their big sword walked towards the horse. 

First it would be an animal sacrifice and then it would be a human sacrifice. My father's words were ringing in my head. Once my father took me for the raid just to make sure these thugs were out of our mother land. He hated these kinds of kills. A man or a woman are deserved to live in this land equally and that's what my father did. He would always have mother with his side in the Raja dharbhar (the grand hall).

"So this means they are here to give Vaidharbhi as their human sacrifice." i muttered myself and the anger in me was now ten folds. The death would be pathetic and these barbaric thugs loves to make the sacrificial life to suffer like hell. It would be painful and slow death. 

This made me loose my sanity. Even though i hate her , i never wished her to have this type of death. Damn she should not , this soon. She has life and i am so going to make her live. Clutching my sword tightly i rushed from one tree to another tree and hid myself from them. One of the thugs were coming out. I ran to him and with my sword i swished it and hit them straight to his heart and jumped on him making him fall and waited till his feeble attempt to get released from my sword finally stopped. I waited for few more seconds and finally he was laying motionless. Pulling the sword from his heart i ran inside deep. They were more than seven i guess and one guy saw me. I hid behind the bushes and i waited for him to come out. My calculation was right. He walked out and i waited for him to walk past me. He did and with my sword i sliced his head out of his body so that there wont be any noise. 

From no where an arrow pierced my knee. I cannot yell. I fell on the ground and pulled the arrow from my knee and pretended to be dead. I knew the guy would come to inspect me and so he did. He bowed down to me and i pierced the arrow in his face and pushed him away from me. Pulling my angawastram i tied it harshly on the wounded knee and waited for anyone to come out. But no one did and so i started to walk more into the dark forest. The density of the forest made nothing visible. 

A sudden panic struck me every passing minute. What if i am late ?? Shaking my head i walked more towards her and the sight in front of me made my blood to freeze. There stood the girl who would always have happiness in her was now fainted. Her hair was been clutched by the thug who captured her. Her face was been covered with her fallen hair but he pulled it . He pushed her to the floor but she did not make any move. She is unconscious. Then the other one dragged the horse and pulled that towards the sacrificial fire. They chanted few mantras and drew a big sword and even before i could blink the guy sliced the head of the horse and the one who held Vaidharbhi drank the blood. 

Before he could finish drinking i ran to them and pushed my sword to his back and now he is dead. The thugs were only four now. Swirling the sword i tackled one in the front but the other one sliced my back making me flinch in pain. Turning to him i kicked him to get enough time to tackle the one in the front. He swirled his sword towards my head and i ducked that and pierced the sword in his knee making him scream in pain. He fell and i pulled a stone from the ground and smashed his face with that. Before i could get up a kick was been felt in my back making me fall few feet away. 

Turning i found three now standing. All the three attacked me at the same time. I tackled them but i was been sliced by the one in the left with his axe. It felt pathetic. Spitting the blood from my mouth i kicked the guy and he fell down. I started to run towards the guy who fell down. The other two were chasing me while i chased the one with the axe. Pulling the sword i threw that up and held it high and threw it towards his direction and straight hit to his throat from his back. I ran and pulled the sword from him and his axe with the left hand of mine. Pushing him towards them i pulled the axe and punched that to the stomach of one while slicing the other one. I saw them fall on the floor and slowly die. 

I breathed hard as hard as i can to take the air as much as i can. Turning i found all are dead. Gulping my dry mouth i limped to her with my bruised body. Fallling on the ground i pulled Vaidharbhi to my lap and pushed her hair from her face. Shaking her few times and calling her name i tried to make her wake up. It took her sometime to even make a small move. Finally she opened her eyes slowly. She saw me and i felt a feel of pride that her eyes were held captive by me. She slowly raised her little , soft fingers and brushed my cheeks and it felt so good to be caressed by her. I closed my eyes and sighed. Without anything she pushed herself to me and held me tight in her clutches and cried hard. She was holding me as if her very being depends on me and i held her with my single arm while the other one was supporting us as i kept them on the ground. 

"Vaidharbhi the bad time is over. You are safe now, with me and without them priye. So please don't cry." I tried hard to make her believe that she is really safe.

She hiccuped few times and murmured something which i couldn't understand the most. "He said.... he said... he would kill me and drink my blood...." i don't want to die...mukundh i don't.... don't want to die..." she said and started to cry again. She did not take her head from my heart but was murmuring more this time and honestly i did not understand any. 

"Look at me..." i demanded her but she held me tight and cried hard. "Look at me Vaidharbhi..." i spoke in a stern voice. She pulled herself from me and saw me with her teary eyes. 

"I am going to be with you always and come what may i would protect you with my life. You will die only after i die and this is my promise. Ok ??" i asked her. She nodded her head. "Words priye..." I demanded. 

"Ok..." she breathed and placed her head again to my heart and i held her to me and she closed her eyes and sighed in content. I didn't know why but it felt good to keep her with me, hold her little body against mine and make her feel protected when i am with her. I wanted to know why am i feeling like this but this felt so good and i wanted this feel always. Slowly untangling myself from her i tried hard to stand but failed badly. She sighed and stood by my side and pulled me with her. I kept my weight from her but she held my hip and i leaned to her and we walked together towards the village. Little did i know it was the start of a new chapter in my life and i wish it has a happy ending.

Finally made it. First time writing some fight scene so it may not be up to the mark still just visualise a guy with the big sword and helping his lady. *ahem ahem*
