6th Night: Kaname's True Feelings

~Yuuki Cross~

Through the curtains, the rays of the sun awoke me from my sleep. I sat up and stretched my arms. I really managed to get some sleep, since there weren't any Night Classes last night...

Well, might as well get a head start!

I then grabbed my towel, and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower. I quickly prepared myself a bath and then sat in the tub.

I sighed.

He's married, huh... If they got married ten years ago, then they both must have been only eight years old. Why did they get married so young..?

Last night I had a dream.

I was in a forest filled with so much greenery walking with Kaname-senpai by my side. I was wearing a short white dress barefooted.

"You're so beautiful, my precious Yuuki." Kaname-senpai whispered, holding my hand tightly.

"Kaname-senpai...." I answered with a blush, looking away.

"Kaname!" Another voice called out.

In the distance was Serenity-san with her silky long white hair, wearing a long strapless white dress. She had a red rose to the side of her hair.  Her blue eyes contrasted with all the white she had on her, but either way, she looked like a flawless porcelain doll. She was holding her hand out to Kaname.

"Serenity..." He whispered.

Kaname let go of my hand and made his way to Serenity.

"Kaname-senpai? Where are you going?"

He did not answer. He just kept making his way over to Serenity-san.

His hand touched Serenity's and brought her for an embrace.

"Kaname-senpai?! Why..?"

"My heart truly yearns for Serenity. I'm sorry, Yuuki. I promised to protect you simply to redeem myself for failing to protect Serenity. I hope you live a happy life." He said as he began to walk ahead.

With Serenity by his side, he disappeared within the forest, leaving me behind.

I bent down to the ground as tears began to fall from my eyes.

Why?

Everything we've ever had was a lie?

...Come back....

....Please don't leave me!

...Stay with me.

But he never returned.

I have to stop that from happening... My feelings for both Kaname-senpai and Zero... Things need to remain as they are right now. Just having the both of them by my side is enough. Just seeing them with someone else makes me feel uncomfortable.

I understand, that neither Kaname-senpai or Zero does not belong to me but the thought of them with another girl makes me want to chain them both and have them to myself.

I know, this is a horrible feeling to have but that is just how I feel now, at this moment...

~Kaname Kuran~

I was dressed in my Night Class uniform, as I was going to meet up with the Headmaster to discuss some things. I put on my golden wedding band and made my way out from my office.

As I went down the stairs on my way outside, I saw Hina-san in her purple nightgown, sitting on the couch, looking upset with her head down.

I sighed and made my way over to her, sitting by her side.

"Are you alright, Hina-san? You should get some rest. Tonight is the first night of Night Classes..."

"I don't want to go back to bed..." She whispered.

"And why is that?" I asked."Too many nightmares... I've always been having them since I was a child. This always happens to me. I get some hours of sleep, then I wake up, unable to sleep. I know this sounds immature, but I always end up sleeping by my parents' side. That's the only way I can go back to sleep and sleep peacefully. But my parents aren't here."

I looked a bit confused. She cannot sleep and she cannot sleep without her parents?

"Would you like to come with me in Ichijo's place?" I asked.

"What?" She asked, a loss for words.

"I told Ichijo that I would go on my own to the Headmaster's office, but seeing as you have nothing else to do and cannot sleep, then just come with me. Technically, as you are my wife's cousin, we are family." I stated.

I usually never say things like this, but this girl has something special to her despite her mysterious aura.

"I'll go get dressed in my uniform then. Thank you, Kaname-san!" She said cheerfully, making her way up the stairs to her room.

I smiled and sat down patiently, waiting for Hina-san to come down the stairs. I know eventually, we will find out who Hina is. It's only a matter of time before she ends up breaking down.

~A few minutes later~

Hina walked down the stairs, dressed in her Night Class uniform. She had a white headband, matching the color of the uniform.

On her neck, she wore a very interesting necklace that I have not seen her wear before. It was a heart shaped black jewel brooch with gold surrounding it that was attached to the the red bow on her uniform.

I stood up.

"That's a nice brooch. " I stated.

"Thank you. It was a special gift from my special one." She said, her cheeks having a small tint of red.

"You have someone special in your life?" I asked with a smirk.

She giggled, with a slight blush on her face. "Yeah. He's back in my hometown, though." She said as the both of us made our way out from the dorms.

"I see. Is your hometown far away?" I asked curiously.

"Hai. It's the small town of Caelum. It's about a three hour drive from here, but with my powers I can just transport there and get there within a matter of seconds. It's a very small town, but my father and mother find it peaceful."

That's a weird name for a town in Japan... And I have never heard of it before. Maybe it is the fact that it is such a small town, that its barely noticeable to many of us.

"Interesting." I answered.

"So what are you going to talk about with the Headmaster?"

"About how things are going to go here at the academy. There is no doubt that one of our enemies will come to Cross Academy to get Serenity. As Serenity is considered the 'leader' of the Royal Purebloods now after becoming the representative of the Sora Empire, she has to take care of those situations regarding them. Considering that one of our enemies is a Royal Pureblood, Serenity, along with the four representatives must conduct an investigation."

Hina sighed. "I can't believe things are coming to this... We Royal Purebloods should have never come into contact with the other levels within the vampire race. Things would have just remained peaceful."

"If things remained like that, then your parents would have never met. You told me yourself. That your parents are both a Pureblood and a Royal Pureblood."

"Heh. You're right. What am I even thinking?" She stated in a regretful tone, looking to the distance.

This girl... Why does she look so lonely and upset? No matter how much I try to tap into her memories,  she simply will not allow me. Or maybe it's not whether she allows me or not. She doesn't even notice when I attempt to tap into them...

*knock knock*

"Hai! Come in!~!"

The both of us entered the room only to be greeted by the Headmaster, who was awkwardly cooking fish.  It seemed that he was having a conversation with Toga Yagari, who was standing behind him, covering his nose.

"Um, did we come at the wrong time?" Hina said scratching her head.

"Now what do we have here? Another princess of the Tsukiyomi family?" Yagari asked.

"A pleasure to meet you. I'm Hina Tsukiyomi, Serenity's cousin. I'm here in Ichijo-san's place."

"Perfect timing, Kaname-kun, Hina-chan! Please have a seat!"

The both of us then had a seat in front of the Headmaster's desk. The Headmaster sat down, with Yagari standing by his side. His face became serious.

"According to what I've heard from the Association, there have been a great deal of Level E's roaming around town. There were reports from other hunters stating that one of them was searching for the "Lightning Princess." That alone must mean they are searching for Serenity, which can also mean they are servants of Rido Kuran. There were also a horde of rebelling Purebloods and Aristocrats located at the Senate's building."

I sighed. I knew from the start that that fool was to be involved in this mess. He was always against with Royal Purebloods being the highest in the pyramid.

"Kaname-san, are you well?" Hina asked.

"Yes, Hina-san. It's just I knew the Senate would have been involved in this grand mess. In making the Royal Purebloods extinct, it's only natural that we Purebloods would take over as the highest rank of vampires. In doing that, the Senate would use the Purebloods to gain absolute rule."

"But with the grandson of the Head of the Senate, we have an advantage... don't we?" Hina asked.

"A slight one. But that alone is not enough. We have sufficient allies. This will be something that will be hard to be victorious in, especially when Rido has an ally from one of the Royal Pureblood families on his side. As usual, the Night Class will keep an eye out for anything suspicious. If something suspicious is seen within Cross Academy grounds, we the Night Class will put it away immediately. This time, I will not let anything hurt Serenity."

"You seem pretty confident with that. Serenity is known to be the most powerful Royal Pureblood of the Tsukiyomi family." Hina said with a laugh.

"Even if she is powerful, she will need my aid. She cannot face her enemies alone, especially with what we are up against. As her knight, I will make sure that no matter what, she comes out of this alive." I stated confidently.

I then noticed that once again, for just a split second, there was a hint of sadness on Hina's face.

~Third person PoV~

"You want me to set up a meeting with Kaname-sama and the representatives?" Ichio questioningly asked.

"They think that you are their ally. If we can get them all rounded up here, then I'll get my hands on that Hina Tsukiyomi."

"Hina Tsukiyomi?" Akio asked in what seemed to be a confused tone.

"Heh..." Aito answered.

"It seems that she is a relative of Serenity-hime. But her aura has such a suspicion to it. She knows something that we don't and I'm going to make sure I get all the information out from her.Even if it means torturing her as a result."

"A Pureblood torturing a Royal Pureblood? I find that to be impossible." Akio's twin brother Aito Hiroi stated.

"You make it possible then, Aito. You are a ninja that is supposedly known to be capturing even the most powerful vampires know to man.  You get the information out from her." Rido ordered.

Aito sighed in annoyance. "So annoying... Fine. Let's just bring a plan forward."

"I'll make a potion that will paralyze her, making her unable to use her powers. Then Aito, you will take her away." Akio stated.

"How interesting... This will be a life or death war. Killing the heirs to the throne of the Sora Empire will not be easy." Sara stated, as she took a sip of tea.

"You'll be fine....After all, the Reizei family has no idea you're betraying them, Sara-san."

"I know. Which will make it even more easier for me to get information from the King and Queen. They will want to know how their precious daughter Aiko is doing."

"He has offered his blood to all of us. In drinking his blood, we will not unconsciously end up following the orders of the Royal Purebloods but him. But he specifically told us he's not going to give us orders. He is going to let us do as we please, seeing as he has the same wishes as we do. We can do this tonight before the meeting." Ichio stated with a smirk.

"This is the time when Royal Pureblood will become extinct and we, the Level A Purebloods, will become the ruling rank of vampires!" Rido stated with a cackle.

"Didn't you have plans to take the Kuran family's daughter?"

"I no longer care what happens to her. Now that I know that the future Sora Empress is alive, I can put my real plans to action. If she refuses to marry me, then I have no choice but to devour her."

"She will refuse. She is not like any other woman. I suggest, give up the plan with making her believe that Rido is Kaname Kuran." Aito stated.

"And why is that, Brother? I can do it! I can make that potion, I just need time to find the ingredients.."

"It's not a matter of whether you can do it or not, Akio. It's the fact that she will not fall for it. Serenity Tsukiyomi is the future Empress of the Sora Empire. She will not fall for something as ridiculous as that. Can't you think for once? This battle alone might end up wearing her out."

Rido sighed. "How ridiculous. What an idiot I am. I actually forgot that the one we are dealing with is a piece of work. Well, I guess we will have to proceed with the plan to devour her."

"I will help out. I will avenge our parents, who were killed by the Ryuzaki family. Once the important things are taken care of, I will personally go to the Hi Kingdom and kill Satsuki Ryuzaki. I know that that will not be an easy task, but maybe he can help me with that as well."

"He wants to kill off his own kind. I'm sure he will help you if you ask him." Ichio answered.

"I will avenge them. They died because the Hi Kingdom's representative thought they were a hindrance..."

~Hina Tsukiyomi~

The meeting with the Headmaster had concluded, and Kaname-san and I were making our way out from the building. This isn't good... From what I heard, the Day Class students are usually on their lunch break by now...

"Is that the new girl in the Night Class?" A Day Class girl asked

"I heard there were a few new students in the Night Class!" Another stated.

A group of Day Class boys came up to us.

"E-Excuse me? Can we know your name?" One of them asked nervously.

I sighed to myself and quickly put a cheerful smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Hina Tsukiyomi!" I replied cheerfully.

"Y-you're so pretty...! Rest assured we'll come greet you at the Moon Gate, Hina-sama!"

"Hehe. Thank you."

I then notice that Kaname had glared at them, and that enough made them run away.

"L-Let's go. Kuran-senpai is glaring at us. We'll see you around, Tsukiyomi-san!" One of the boys said, running away.

The girls kept their distance out of respect, and were admiring Kaname from a distance.

I giggled.

"Really... Were you jealous?" I asked sarcastically.

"Not at all. I guess it's habit. That is how I was with Serenity back at the Sora Empire. All the boys that admired her ran away every time I was by her side. I remember once, one of the members of her court... I think his name was Toshiaki had feelings for her. He was an vampire aristocrat. When he was about to give a love letter to Serenity, I went up to him and ripped the letter in half. I told him to stay away from her."

I laughed.

Why is he so conflicted? This story makes it obvious. He loves Serenity. So why is he making things complicated for himself?

"Ne, Kaname... How and when did you start like Yuuki-san? Because to me, it sounds like you really love Serenity."

He sighed. "Yuuki, huh... I have always had something for her, ever since we were children. She and I were to get married, but our engagement ended and I agreed to become Serenity's fiance. I think that with the time I spent in Sora Empire, I slowly began to fall in love with her, and my desire to protect her became even stronger. However..."

His bangs cast a shadow as he clenched his fists.

"...I failed to protect her. I never even bothered to search for her. And because of that, our relationship is no longer the same. I love her, I'll admit that. But I don't think she feels the same..."

I looked around and saw Zero and Yuuki walk together into the building.

"Look at that, Kaname. Do you even think that if you decided to be with Yuuki, she would be fully in love with you? You do realize she likes Zero Kiryu too? If you two ended up being together, she would still have Zero in her mind. But you and Serenity... you two would be so happy together. She would love you and only you. Think about that when you are making your decision. Because I'm sure that deep down inside despite acting different towards you, she is waiting for your answer. Open your eyes and face reality. You cannot be with someone who loves you and a different man. It's wrong, and you know it better than anyone. And please don't make excuses that she has a big kind heart and such. I strongly believe that one person loves one other person genuinely. Get out of that ridiculous love triangle. That is why you are making a choice, after all."

Kaname's eyes widened. Yuuki turned around and looked at us with a smile. She came up to us with Zero tagging along.

"Kaname-senpai, Hina-san! What are you two doing out here at this time?"

I didn't answer, and did nothing but glare at her.

"Good afternoon, Yuuki. We had just come from a meeting with the Headmaster."

"Is everything okay?" She asked worriedly.

"Don't worry. It was just about how the Night Class is going." He stated, patting her on the head.

"Oi, Tsukiyomi's cousin. You alright?"

"Oh, no worries Zero. I'm okay." I answered.

Just being in the presence of this two-timing spoiled brat sickens me. I don't know how he likes her.

However, I smirked. I have an idea, I know I'm not allowed to do this, but I'm actually helping them.

~Kaname Kuran~

"Look at that, Kaname. Do you even think that if you decided to be with Yuuki, she would be fully in love with you? You do realize she likes Zero Kiryu too? If you two ended up being together, she would still have Zero in her mind. But you and Serenity... you two would be so happy together. She would love you and only you. Think about that when you are making your decision. Because I'm sure that deep down inside despite acting different towards you, she is waiting for your answer. Open your eyes and face reality. You cannot be with someone who loves you and a different man. It's wrong, and you know it better than anyone. And please don't make excuses that she has a big, kind heart and such. I strongly believe that one person loves one other person genuinely. Get out of that ridiculous love triangle. That is why you are making a choice, after all."

My eyes widened in surprise. I guess I can agree on certain things.  But this is my fault that this all happened. If I hadn't freed Shizuka, then none of that would have ever happened. At that moment, I did that to protect Yuuki, but now that I think about it, Serenity was there... I failed as a knight and put her at risk because of Yuuki.... I resolved to protect Yuuki to atone for letting Serenity 'die.' I considered that as my punishment for eternity. But throughout all this I gained feelings for Yuuki. Serenity must have saved Kiryu's life and brought her to Cross. My purpose this entire time...was to protect Serenity. I pictured Yuuki as Serenity and promised myself to protect her for all eternity, and not let her suffer the same tragic fate that Serenity had.

I then noticed that Yuuki had saw us and had come up to us, with Kiryu in tow.

"Kaname-senpai, Hina-san! What are you two doing here at this time?" She had asked curiously.

I smiled.

"Good afternoon, Yuuki. We had just come from a meeting with the Headmaster."

"Is everything okay?" She asked worriedly.

"Don't worry. It was just about how the Night Class is going." I answered, patting her on the head.

She had a slight blush on her face.

I see everything now. For these past ten years, the way Yuuki acted towards me, I've always pictured that as the Serenity today. I didn't see Yuuki as Yuuki herself. I saw her as Serenity. The only reason I fell for Yuuki was because she reminded me a lot of Serenity...

The one I really love and cherish... the one I want to spend my eternal life with...

....is Serenity Tsukiyomi, my wife.

We got married so that Rido wouldn't have the opening to take her away and forcibly marry her, however that brought my heart closer to her, and I fell in love with her. Hina-san is right. Yuuki has feelings for Kiryu as well, and I have noticed that she acts more as herself towards him. She might not realize it right now, but the one she truly has in her heart is Zero Kiryu, not me. Because if I was, then she would be more like herself towards me.

"Kaname-senpai?" Yuuki called out to me.

"I'm fine. I really should be getting back to the Moon Dorms and get some rest. Take care, Yuuki."

"Y-Yes!" She said nervously.

Hina and I then made our way back to the Moon Dorms.

"I don't know if I'm going to be able to get some rest..." I stated.

Those terrible dreams do not let me sleep at all...

"Hina. At least try. Don't let those dreams bother you. Tonight is your first night of Night Classes. I don't want to see you falling asleep in class."

"Fine. I'll try. But only because your my cousin's husband!" I answered.

"Heh." I answered with a chuckle.

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

I slowly opened my eyes, and slowly looked to the window. The sun was slowly setting and the sky was colored a beautiful orange.

I sat up and stretched. I got up from bed and pushed the curtains aside. What a beautiful sunset...

Outside, I saw that Satsuki and the others were already dressed in their Night Class uniforms. They were walking around the area, exploring and looking around the terrace.

Hehe, seems like they were excited, that they just ended up waking up so early.

I prepared myself a bath and sat down and relaxed as soon as I finished organizing it.

"Ahhh, that feels good..."

"I told you that I'd return, sweet princess of the Sora Empire... Did you forget my words four years ago?"

My eyes widened.

Shizuka Hio....

"What a surprise. You remember me... I thought you would forget about me so easily."

"Why would I forget you? You killed the family of my friend. Honestly, I should just kill you for taking away their lives."

"But you cannot kill me, Serenity..."

"What do you mean I cannot? I can. Don't ever think about underestimating me. If I wanted to, I could have killed you that time. But I didn't."

"Underestimating you? I haven't. I have no reason to. I'm simply stating that you cannot kill me. You don't have the ability to, no matter how much you try."

"And why is that?" I asked curiously.

"Those answers.... You will eventually find out. I will come soon, Serenity Tsukiyomi...."

With that, her voice within my head stopped talking.

How did she manage to talk to me while she is so far away from where I am? For a Pureblood, that's a rare quality for her to have....

Twenty minutes later, I got out from my bath and dried up. As soon as I dried up, I got dressed in the Night Class uniform, then made my way to my vanity.

I blow dried my hair, giving it its usual style. I then slipped on the long black socks and then the shoes. I then got my books together and made my way out of my dorm.

As I made my way down the stairs, the entire Night Class was looking at me. I told them not to treat me like a princess, but...

I guess it's mostly because of my appearance...

"Serenity. How are you feeling?" Kaname asked as he elegantly walked up to me.

"I'm feeling much better thanks to the tea that you served me. Thank you." I answered with a smile.

"That's good." He answered in a relieved tone.

"Were you worried about me?" I stated sarcastically.

Kaname remained serious. "Of course I was. I don't want you to ever worry me like that ever again. I'm here with you, Serenity. If you need someone to pour your feelings out to, then I'm here."

I stayed silent at his statement. My heart wouldn't stop beating at his presence before me.

"Hey, Serenity." Satsuki stated as he came up to the both of us.

I noticed that Satsuki wasn't even looking at Kaname at all.

"Oh, hey..."

"Ready for classes tonight?"

"Yeah, I guess so... Though I am a bit nervous."

"I'm sure Kaname here will be with you every step of the way. It's not like he's going to disappear from your sight for ten more years."

"Satsuki, stop." I stated seriously.

His eyes widened in surprise.

"What's going on here?" Aiko asked as she and the others came in.

"I know Kaname did what he did. For ten long years, he believed that I was dead. But you know what? I'll tell you what my feelings were at that time. Jealousy and loneliness. You know why? Because he gave all of his attention to Yuuki-san. That's why I-"

...acted cold towards him...

But the words weren't able to come out from my mouth.

"Everyone! It's time to go to the gates!" Takuma called to everyone.

As soon as Takuma said that, I quickly turned around and followed the rest of the Night Class.

"Wait, Serenity! I- I apologize!" Satsuki called out.

"Satsuki, I know you care about Serenity and all, but you really angered her this time." Azusa stated.

Oh yes he did.

~Kaname Kuran~

After Serenity said that, I wondered how she was going to finish that sentence. What was she going to say next...?

"Please excuse me." I stated with a bow, following the others outside.

"Tch.." Satsuki responded.

"Leave them be, Satsuki. What are you trying to accomplish with this?" Aiko responded.

"I don't want Serenity to get hurt again, that's all!"

"Let them be.Let them fix their relationship on their own." Azusa stated in a serious tone.

"Ridiculous... He's playing with her feelings." Satsuki continued.

"Satsuki, is your judgement clouded by jealousy?" Rina asked curiously.

"Shut up! I'm not jealous! I just want Serenity to be happy!"

As I heard the comments of the other Royal Purebloods, I went into my own thoughts. I know I hurt Serenity... I realize what I have done. But I want to make my feelings clear to her. My love for Yuuki was just to fill the empty void within my heart...

I had no choice but to return to the Kuran residence. Serenity disappeared without a trace and I failed to find her.

Those final words that she had said to me. At first I was a bit lost at her words, but everything went so fast... As upsetting as that seems, that is the time I truly realized my feelings for Serenity Tsukiyomi. I searched the area where she may have fallen but she was nowhere to be found. That's when I had made my resolve when I left to the Kuran residence...

"Serenity died because of me. I will not make the same mistake ever again. I will protect Yuuki and make sure that Rido Kuran will never get his filthy hands on her. In Serenity's place, Yuuki will become the princess that I will protect and cherish. This is the only way to fill up the void that has formed deep within my heart..."

Thanks to Hina-san, I remembered those words I told myself ten years ago... My love for Yuuki wasn't real. Yuuki was Serenity's replacement after Serenity had disappeared ten years ago. I loved Yuuki always like my younger sister.

I've made my decision...

I confidently made my way outside to where everyone was. Serenity was having a casual conversation with Hina.

Hina Tsukiyomi... Just who are you and what is your purpose here?

I noticed that Hina turned around and smirked at me.

I remained serious. But she then smiled cheerfully.

I had then made my way to the front of the crowd, and as if on cue, the Moon Gate had opened.

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

As the gates opened, we were greeted by both Day Class males and females in total, and Yuuki-san and Zero were somewhat able to keep them back. But as I looked to my right where Yuuki-san was attempting to keep her side back, I saw that she was having a bit of trouble. As for Zero, he had no problem keeping them back as the girls (and even boys) were actually scared of him.

"Hehe. Look at her. Struggling to keep them back. It's funny just seeing her try." Hina stated with a giggle.

As soon as the boys from Yuuki-san's side met with my eyes, they got a bit louder.

"Is that Hina-chan's sister?!" A Day Class male stated in a loud tone.

"She looks so pretty, but she's wearing a wedding ring!" Another Day Class male said.

"Is she married to someone in the Night Class?!" Another stated in an envious tone.

I smiled cheerfully and faced them.

"A pleasure to meet you all! My name is Serenity Tsukiyomi!" I stated happily.

"Serenity-chan... What a beautiful name! It's so unique!" Another stated.

"I know!" One stated in agreement.

I gave one more wave and turned around to Zero.

"I see you're handling them well, Zero."

He smirked. "Of course. Dealing with your group of fanboys is kind of a pain in the ass though."

"I can see." I stated as I looked at the screaming fanboys behind Zero.

"Well, I'll get going now. Take care, Zero! I'll see you around!" I stated as I waved goodbye as I continued making my way to the building.

"Look, look! Kuran-senpai is wearing a golden ring on his finger!" A Day Class female called out.

"What?!" A Day Class male answered.

I stopped and turned around.

"Oh-ho.... Looks like they found out, Serenity." Hina said.

I sighed. "Oh great... Now this is going to be a long evening..."

"Actually, I think it is a good thing! Maybe she will finally back off for a change." Hina stated in reference to Yuuki.

"No way! So is Kuran-senpai Serenity-chan's husband?" A Day Class male asked.

"It can't be possible! They aren't even walking together! And wasn't he interested in Cross-san?" A Day Class girl questioned.

I then noticed that Kaname stopped and smirked as he looked at everyone. For a change, there was actually silence.

"Yes. Serenity Tsukiyomi is my wife and we are together."

The entire Day Class gasped at Kaname's declaration.

"Tch..." Satsuki said as he continued walking.

"To think he had the confidence to say that...." Rina whispered.

"I thought he would never say it so proudly." Azusa answered.

"So I guess he has made his resolve, then?" Aiko stated.

I turned around once again and just continued walking, as there was a slight blush on my face.

...How could he have said that so confidently?

I held my books a bit tighter as I walked a bit faster to the classroom.

Since I went a little bit ahead of the other Night Class students, I was actually one of the first ones in the classroom.

"Wait, Serenity-san!"

Behind me was Rima Toya, one of the Night Class students that served Kaname.

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"Why did you run away?"

I looked away.

"Is the relationship between you and Kaname-sama still not going well?"

The both of us then made it to the classroom and sat down. She sat behind me, still waiting for an answer.

"Did Kaname send you here?" I asked.

"No. I came here of my own volition. When I saw Kaname-sama with you last night, it looked like he was very concerned for you when you had passed out on him. I remember that when he called me to change you, his tone was that of worry. That alone just shows that he really cares about you."

I sighed and finally answered.

"...It's complicated. He likes Yuuki-san as well and as much as I want to, I just do not wish to get in the way of their relationship."

"They seem close, but these days Yuuki's been more closer to Zero Kiryu. I know that when I see Kaname-sama and Yuuki together, they seem really close and a cute couple and all, but it doesn't even compare to the close bond that you two have. Please reconsider. I know I am in no position to tell you that, but I just wanted to say it. Listen to your feelings, because if you don't settle this now, then you are going to regret it later."

I giggled. "Rima, from these two nights that I've known you, I've thought of you and Senri to be the quiet type. But now that I have talked to you, you're actually pretty open."

"If you need anything, don't be afraid to tell me." Rima stated.

"Thank you." I answered with a smile.

The rest of the Night Class began to enter the classrooms, finding their seats and getting ready for class.

Aiko sat to my right, while Rina sat to my left. Hina sat behind me, while Satsuki and Azusa sat in front.

The last to come in were Kaname and Ichijo-san. I had noticed that Kaname was actually looking at me with a gentle smile. I looked away nervously, quickly getting out my books.

"I heard that today we're getting a new teacher today." Ruka stated.

The classroom door opened and a familiar face had entered the room.

He placed his book on the desk and smirked.

"Hello, vampires. I'm Kaito Takamiya, and I will be teaching this class today as Yagari had to take care of a few things back at the Association. It's good to see that you are now well, Serenity." He stated, looking at me with a gentle smile.

"Yeah... I was able to get some rest."

He smiled at me and looked at the rest of the class seriously.

"Anyways, let's start class."

The class began and I was able to notice that Kaname had his eyes on me from time to time. There would be those times that he would look up from his book, and his eyes would meet with mine.

"Serenity, can you answer this question?"

"Of course."

"What exactly was the reason that the Royal Purebloods separated from the other classes of vampires, excluding the purebloods?"

"The reason? It's actually quite simple to explain, actually. The reason was the fact that a Senate was formed after the former Pureblood King, Ryusei Kuran, decided to abolish the monarchy and create the Senate. That is when my grandmother, the former Empress Reina Tsukiyomi announced that we would go our separate ways and create our very own kingdoms. From that evening forward, we would keep as minimal communication with the outside world, and the only ones that can leave their respective kingdoms are the representatives. We just did not wish to become puppets of the Senate."

"Great explanation. As expected of the princess of the Sora Empire."

"Thank you." I answered with a smile.

The class continued on, and about half an hour later the class concluded.

After our classes ended, I stayed behind as I was getting my things together.

"...Serenity."

I turned around and discovered that Kaname was still sitting in his seat, with his legs crossed.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I would like to speak with you about something. It is something that I've been wanting to tell you for a long time." Kaname said as he stood up from his seat and looked at me with a gentle expression.

As the windows of the classroom were left open, a very gentle and warm breeze blew throughout the room. The full moon was shining into the classroom and it was as if he and I were in a completely different world.

"I realized something. And I would like you to hear me out."

"Serenity, the woman I have loved this entire time...it was always you."

My eyes widened in surprise, not believing what he had just said.

"No...no you don't..."

Kaname walked up closer to me as I slowly stepped back.

Why am I stepping back...? Is it because I'm scared he'll end up hurting me again?

There was a point where I stopped and he just continued walking up to me, bringing me into an embrace.

"This has to be the blood bond we have." I stated.

"I promise you, it's not the blood bond. These feelings of mine are genuine. After I believed you were dead, I made a vow to myself simply to fill the void within my heart up. I resolved to cherish and protect her in your place. I wasn't going to let the same thing happen to her. She became your replacement..."

"My replacement..."

"Yes. I've never forgotten about you, Serenity. There were days that I could not sleep because of you. You would always appear in my dreams. I believed that with Yuuki, I could have moved on. But I don't think that would have worked. A future with Yuuki is not possible because she loves Kiryu. Even she does not realize yet that the one that she truly loves is him."

"Kaname...."

"Serenity, I love you. Can you give me a chance to make up the years that I have not been with you?"

I told myself that I would not let him see me cry. So I did the unspeakable only so he wouldn't see these tears of mine.

You finally gave me your answer.... It was worth waiting all this time.

I brought my lips onto his and I let my tears fall.

He quickly gave into my kiss and wrapped his arms around my waist.

~Yuuki Cross~

I was making my final rounds around the academy, making sure the Night Class students had made their way back to the Moon Dormitory.

"Just one more classroom to check and I can finally go to bed..."

With a yawn,  I made my way to the classroom, and I noticed that the door was half open. When I peeked in, I saw two familiar faces sharing a kiss.

My eyes widened when I noticed who those two were.

Kaname-senpai and Serenity-san....

The both of them looked like they didn't want to let go. It was like in that specific classroom, time had stopped for just the two of them.

So he chose Serenity-san in the end....

My fists clenched a bit at the sight that was in front of me.

Their lips parted and I was able to hear their conversation.

"You're crying...? Why?"

Serenity quickly wiped her tears away.

"All this time I was doubting myself. For ten long years, I thought that I would never be able to be by your side... I acted cold towards you only because I believed that. I had always that the only one for you was Yuuki-san."

My eyes widened at the mention of my name.

Kaname caressed Serenity's cheek.

I can't see this... this isn't my business...

I ran through the hallways out from the academy going back to my dorm.

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

"I love you, Serenity. You are the one that has been in my heart this entire time and even I myself didn't realize it until now. But the question is....do you still love me?"

"Didn't that kiss make it obvious?" I responded with a pout.

"I want to hear you say it."

I sighed in response and smiled gently.

"I love you, Kaname. You know, it wasn't easy telling you that I no longer loved you. But all of that...was a lie. I just wanted what was best for you. The Serenity Tsukiyomi before you now is the real one. The Serenity that was cold towards you is a fake. I can now say that I've returned, Kaname-sama." I said with a cheerful smile.

"Serenity..."

He cupped his hands on my cheeks and once again brought me into a passionate kiss.

"Kaname!" Ichijo called as he was approaching the classroom.

We quickly parted the kiss, and Ichijo had made it in the nick of time. At least he didn't catch us..

"What are you guys still doing here?" He asked curiously.

"I was just helping Serenity with some things. We were just about to go back. What is it?"

"Actually, my grandfather sent a letter. He wants to have a meeting with all of us. I don't know what it is, but he wants all the representatives along with you and I to attend."

"That is strange. But that is fine. When will the meeting take place...?"

"Tomorrow evening."

"I see. So we are going to have to postpone Night Classes then. But it might be some trap so I will bring Aido and Kain along as well."

"Alright." He answered.

Then without a care in the world, Kaname took my hand and gripped it tightly.

Our rings glimmered with the moonlight.

"So you two have reconciled. I'm happy for the both of you." Takuma stated.

"Thank you, Takuma-san." I answered with a cheerful smile.

"Yes. Thank you, Ichijo." Kaname answered.

The three of us then made our way back to the Moon Dorms, while Kaname and I were holding hands.
