5th Night: A Moonlit Party

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

By the time we made it to the Headmaster's office, the Headmaster came running up to me and was about to hug me, but I quickly moved to the side and he fell on the ground.

I giggled. "Hehe, sorry. I was just a bit surprised by your sudden movement."

However, the Headmaster quickly brought himself up from the ground and straightened his glasses.

"It's a pleasure to have you six at Cross Academy~! I am Kaien Cross, the Headmaster of this academy! I'm sure you've met these two, but these are my two precious children, Zero Kiryu and Yuuki Cross~! They are the Disciplinary Committee of this school!" He said cheerfully.

Zero looked somewhat annoyed at his declaration.

"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not your son?" Zero stated in an annoyed tone.

"How mean, Kiryu-kun... Anyways, I just called you six up here to say hello! You six will be in the Night Class with Kaname-kun." He looked away with a sad but pouty tone.

~Kaname Kuran~

"How mean, Kiryu-kun... Anyways, I just called you six up here to say hello! You six will be in the Night Class with Kaname-kun." He looked away with a sad but pouty tone.

I looked over at Serenity, then over to Yuuki. I told myself that I would protect Yuuki with my life, but ever since Serenity's return, my feelings have been all over the place. I love Serenity, but I also love Yuuki. But I do not wish to continue loving both of them. It's something that is irrelevant. I need to find out once and for all who is the woman I genuinely and wholeheartedly love. I then looked over to Kiryu, who was standing by her side. Kiryu is one of the most crucial pieces in my "game" to protect Yuuki.

"All right then. Then I will be making my way to the Night Dorms now. Kaname, if you may lead us there, please?" Serenity asked.

"Wait! I need to ask something to the both of you, Serenity-chan and Kaname-kun. Are you two going to remain married?"

Yuuki's eyes widened. She was so surprised, that she didn't even move from where she was standing.

Serenity looked over to me, waiting for my answer. She may be cold towards me, but she's thinking about my well-being. She even offered to break our marriage and free me from my duty if I wasn't happy.

I'm sorry, Yuuki.

"Yes. Serenity-denka and I will remain married. My duty is to protect her as both her knight and as her husband."

"All right, well the only reason I am asking you two is because the Royal Pureblood Emperor of the Sora Empire sent me a telegraph message to pass on to you both. He told me that if Serenity or Kaname does not wish to go on with the marriage, they are free to end the relationship. However, if you two wish to continue, you must tell him. He's been noticing that the relationship between you two is a bit strained. He said if you two truly accept each other as husband and wife, then the both of you must attend an official ceremony in a few weeks, making you two officially the heirs to the thrones of the Sora Empire. To lead an empire, the Emperor and Empress must have a healthy relationship. That is why he is giving you two this option." The headmaster said, raising his glasses.

Serenity stayed silent.

"I need some time to think it over." Serenity concluded, leaving the office.

Hina-san and the other Royal Purebloods followed her out. When I was about to step out....

"K-Kaname-senpai!" Yuuki called out nervously.

I turned around.

"What is it, Yuuki?"

"I-I didn't know you had a wife! Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I thought she was gone from this world, that is why. I thought there was no need for me to talk about her to you. But yes... Serenity Tsukiyomi is my wife. I've been married to her for ten years."

Why am I telling her all of this? I guess Yuuki does have a right to know. Especially when I still have feelings for her...

"Yuuki, I am sorry I did not say anything. But now you know the truth. Now, I need to get back to the Moon Dorms. Serenity and the others are waiting." I stated with a smile, making my way out from the room.

~Yuuki Cross~

Kaname-senpai is married to the princess of the Sora Empire... And a Royal Pureblood to top that...

"K-Kaname-senpai!" I nervously called out to him.

I've admired him for so long... I can't believe that things turned out this way.

He turned around and looked at me with his usual gentle smile. Instead of making me flustered, it actually made me a bit upset.

"What is it, Yuuki?"

"I-I didn't know you had a wife. Why didn't you tell me?" I asked nervously, playing with my fingers. I felt my cheeks burning up a bit as well..

"Because I thought she was gone from this world, that is why. I thought there was no need for me to talk about her to you. But yes... Serenity Tsukiyomi is my wife. I've been married to her for ten years."

Ten years? That's around the time he saved me from that vampire... And that's when Serenity-san stated she supposedly died. But it all makes sense... Those two are meant for each other, despite Serenity-san's father saying that their relationship is strained. Kaname-senpai might end up becoming the future Emperor of the Sora Empire...

"Yuuki, I am sorry I did not say anything. But now you know the truth. Now, I need to get back to the Moon Dorms. Serenity and the others are waiting." He stated with a smile, making his way out from the office.

Tears threatened to fall from my eyes.

"Kaname-senpai..." I whispered.

Don't leave me....

You were my beginning... I don't want this to be the end.

Not noticing how I was feeling since I was looking the opposite direction, the Headmaster and Zero were talking about Serenity-san and Kaname-senpai's relationship.

"You think their relationship is going to be fixed, Kiryu-kun?" The Headmaster asked.

"Of course. She was head over heels for him once, and she continues to be even now. She's just mad at him because he thought she was dead. But now... I noticed that look he had with her. It was a loving and passionate one... But he's just confused."

Could he be confused because he has feelings for both Serenity-san and I...? That's exactly how I feel with him and Zero... But knowing him somewhat, I know he's going to make a decision eventually... Within Kaname-senpai's heart, there is only room for one. And even if I'm not a princess of a empire or a Royal Pureblood or anything, right now at this moment, I have a spot in Kaname-senpai's heart even if Serenity-san is within his as well. Even if Serenity-san is a pureblood princess, I will not lose to her. I will be the one that remains in Kaname-senpai's heart!

"Yuuki, are you alright? You've been standing there without saying a word..."

I quickly turned around and smiled cheerfully. "It's nothing! You know how much of a scatterbrain I can be..."

I noticed that Zero was looking over at me a bit suspiciously.

"I-I should get back to my dorm... It's already night, and there are no duties so I can get some rest! I'll see you two tomorrow!" I concluded, leaving the room.

I ran out from the office through the hallways of the academy.

Despite having these feelings for both Kaname-senpai and Zero, I still want to remain within his heart... I can't- I won't let it happen!

"Yuuki."

I stopped as I heard Zero call out to me from behind.

I turned around and saw him.

"Hey, Zero! Did you need something?" I asked him, trying to not show my true feelings.

"I know you're bothered about this. The fact that Kuran is married to Serenity. It was all over your face."

I smiled. "What are you talking about?"

He sighed and walked closer to me.

"Stop lying. You like him. When the Headmaster said that, you looked really upset."

"I knew this was going to happen anyways. Serenity is a Royal Pureblood. And she is from a very powerful breed of vampires. It's only natural that she and Kaname-senpai would be together. I also knew that I would never be able to walk beside him. Because to him, I'm just a human girl with such a small life that will fade away before he knows it." I said with a laugh. However, I noticed that tears were falling from my eyes.

Why am I crying? I still have a chance with him, yet... I'm still upset?

Before I realized it, Zero brought me into an embrace.

"Zero...."

"Don't say those ridiculous things. That human life you have is worth it. It's better than having to live for decades." He whispered.

I let the tears fall out from my eyes and gave into Zero's embrace. We stayed like this in the moonlit hallway for a short amount of time.

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

The six of us, accompanied by Kaname, made our way to the Moon Dorms.

"This school is pretty interesting. It's massive." Satsuki stated, looking around.

"The fact that there is humans within the school seems really interesting. And that Yuuki Cross girl... She looked like she was going to pass out when she heard that Serenity was married to Kaname." Azusa said with a laugh.

"And the fact that she is Kaname's sister is crazy. I mean did Juri-san really have to take her memories and make her into a normal human? I find it ridiculous. If Rido Kuran is after her as well, then it was pointless to even make her a human." Satsuki stated.

Kaname was quiet, and did not speak a word. He doesn't want to cause problems with the Royal Purebloods... I don't like Yuuki. Not even a bit. But if it is something that is bothering Kaname, then as his partner, it's my duty to defend him.

"Everyone, stop talking about this. Yuuki Cross is not our reason for being here. We need to focus on more pressing matters at hand." I stated.

"Serenity's right! As Royal Purebloods, it's our duty to destroy what threatens our existence!" Rina stated.

"Yes, you're right. We should put away those people as soon as possible!" Azusa stated.

"I guess you are right, Serenity..." Satsuki stated with a sigh.

I sighed. Thank goodness... I was able to change the subject.

As the other four were talking, I looked over at Kaname, who was looking straight into the distance. He's upset now... I know I shouldn't be doing this, but I want to know what he is feeling.

Secretly, without even touching him, I tapped into his thoughts.

Serenity defended me. She knew and she took my side. Even if she doesn't notice it, it makes me really happy that she noticed my feelings. She did this despite what I did to her...

He understands his mistake and from what I can tell, he truly regrets it..

"Serenity, why can't you just forgive him?"  Hina asked me through a mind link.

"Honestly, Hina... I'm at that point. But at the moment, I understand that he is conflicted. But things have to be made straight. I love him. This time, I'm waiting for his reply. If he loves Yuuki, then so be it..."

"I will make sure to it that Kaname and Yuuki won't be together."

"No. You have to let him choose. We can't force him with our powers. I want him to be happy, one way or another."

Hina smiled. "You really haven't changed at all. You are the same as always."

"What?" I asked curiously.

"Hehe. Nothing." She concluded with a smile.

Kaname opened the doors to the Moon Dorms, and surrounding the living room area, the entire Night Class surrounded us and bowed.

"Welcome to Cross Academy, Your Royal Majesties." They all said in unison.

A few aristocrats, including a familiar face stepped forward.

"It's nice to meet you all. I'm Takuma Ichijo. It's a pleasure to be in your presence, Your Majesties."

"It's an honor to have you all here. I'm Hanabusa Aido."

"Pleasure to meet you. I'm Akatsuki Kain."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Senri Shiki."

"Pleased to meet you, Your Highnesses. I'm Rima Toya."

"I'm Ruka Souen. A pleasure."

"No need to be so formal, everyone!" I stated.

Everyone, even my friends and Kaname looked at me in surprise.

"In the Sora Empire, I am treated like this every single day. I would prefer if you all treated me as the same status as you."

"Yes, I want that too!" Rina stated.

Aiko laughed. "I as well."

"I wouldn't mind either." Azusa stated.

"I guess I wouldn't mind as well. I kind of want to see what it is like being a lower level vampire." Satsuki added.

"If that is you wish, then we will do so." Hanabusa answered.

After staying silent for a time, Kaname finally spoke.

"Serenity, I'll escort you and Hina-san to your dorm. You two will will have your very own dorms. As for you four, Aido and Kain will escort you there."

"Okay." I replied.

"Sure!" Hina replied.

We first took Hina to her dorm. After that, it was just Kaname and I walking within the hallways of the dorm.

"Thank you, Serenity."

He must be talking about what happened outside.

"It's nothing. I just thought what I did needed to be done. As we are partners." I stated.

Kaname smiled. "It's still early evening. How about after you get settled, how about we do that tour around the school?"

"Kaname, I told you-"

He then put his finger on my lips.

"You did tell everyone not to treat you like a princess. So I'm guessing that does involve me as well."

I sighed. "Yes, I did say that."

"I did apologize, didn't I? Why can't you forgive me, Serenity? Is there something else that is bothering you?"

The fact that Yuuki has a place in your heart... That's what bothers me.

"...."

I stayed quiet after he had asked me.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't said that. You have the right to not forgive me at all. Here is your dorm." He whispered, opening the door to my dorm.

I entered and looked around the room. It's very spacious and nice.

"If you need anything, I am a few rooms away from you. " Kaname concluded, about to leave the room.

Why am I being so cruel? I do still have a chance with him, after all. He's willing to stay by my side, and he has a right to love whom he wishes, why am I acting as if he is mine? Well, technically he is since we are married and share a blood bond but... I don't know what's going to happen from here on out.

Unconsciously, I took his hand stopping him.

"Serenity...?"

"I'm sorry. There is no reason for me to be acting that way. You apologized of what happened ten years ago, so there is no reason for me to be acting like that towards you. I'll do that tour with you." I stated.

Kaname smiled.

"Alright, well shall we then?" He asked, holding out his hand.

"Yes, let's." I responded, taking his hand in return.

As we walked through the hallways of the dorms, Kaname was explaining to me where everything was.

"Right there is my office. I usually spend most of my time there doing paperwork and such."

Just being with him like this takes me back to the times I spent with him back in the Sora Empire...

We then exited the Moon Dorms and after a few minutes, we find ourselves at a fountain.

"In the evenings, it's very peaceful around here. One can come here and collect their thoughts."

"I can see that. Just hearing the noise of water really does sound soothing." I stated, as I sat down. I looked up at the sky and it was a beautiful full moon.

"Even though here, you really don't see a lot of stars like in the Sora Empire."

"Yes, because I can see from here that humans continue to do their own thing at night."

"The Hunter's Association is also located in the town as well. So technically, in this town no one ever sleeps, since hunters are always on duty." Kaname stated.

"I see... How interesting. That's why you asked us to come then. Our safety is more assured since there are hunters on duty around the town and a few within Cross Academy." I stated.

"Correct." Kaname answered.

"That was pretty smart of you, Kaname. But you do realize that that may not be enough? Rido has one ally that is a Royal Pureblood, and other Level A Purebloods as well? To even top that, those Level A's may have some of their servants and even Aristocrats that may not even want us Royal Purebloods in power? It's going to be a massive battle."

"I 'll have to admit, this will be a battle where many lives may be lost. But..."

Kaname then looked over at me and smiled kindly.

"I'll see to it that you live... Even if it means risking my own life."

"No... Don't do that. Don't even think of risking your life for me. Yuuki-san would be upset if you did that. So don't even think of risking your life for me just because I'm-"

"I'm not risking my life for you because I have to. I want to. You are important to me. And if something were to happen to you, then I-"

"Nothing is going to happen to me. Because my powers surpass that of Rido and all the other vampires. The only problem is going to be facing that Royal Pureblood that's helping Rido. I swear, whichever Royal Pureblood it is... No matter who it is, I will put them away." I said in a confident tone, bringing my hands into fists.

"Try not to force yourself too much, Serenity. Your kind may be the most powerful, however to die is the same way as any other pureblood. If you get stabbed in your head or heart, it is your end. I don't want that to happen to you."

"Like I told you before. I am going to be fine. I'm not who I was before..." I stated confidently as I looked up to the sky.

"Heh... I can see that." Kaname responded.

~Kaname Kuran~

"Like I told you before. I am going to be fine. I'm not who I was before...." Serenity stated confidently as she looked up to the sky.

"Heh... I can see that." I responded.

For a time, Serenity was looking up at the moon, and there was nothing but silence between us.

I looked at her profile. I noticed that past that confident exterior of hers, she holds loneliness deep within herself. She has grown up to be a very strong young woman.

My heart ended up skipping a beat at the sight of her and I unconsciously put my hand over hers. And what surprised me was that she didn't move it this time.

"Why did things have to end this way between us, Kaname? We were so close those ten years ago. Why did things have to change? How would have things ended up if none of that happened ten years ago...?"

I have to admit, during that time I was and still am in love with Serenity. But after spending time with Yuuki for so many years and believing that Serenity was dead, I gained feelings for her as well. Now that she has returned...

Serenity then looked to me, her sky blue eyes looking deep into mine.

"Serenity, I...."

"Kaname...."

When I was about to say something, Aido called out to us.

"Serenity-sama! Kaname-sama! There is a welcome party inside! Everyone is waiting for you both!"

Serenity quickly took her hand away from mine and stood up.

"Of course! Thank you, Aido-san." She answered, quickly pacing ahead of us.

"I hope this doesn't bother you, Kaname-sama." Aido stated a bit nervously.

"Of course not. We are welcoming them here to Cross Academy after all." I answered.

Even though it did bother me that he interrupted us....

The both of us then followed Serenity into the Moon Dorms where the party was being held.

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

Once we made our way inside the Moon Dorms, there was music playing and the entire Night Class was around either dancing to the music or just sitting and drinking. And some where just having a conversation.

"Welcome to Cross Academy, Serenity-chan, everyone." Takuma stated, coming up to me.

"Thank you." I stated.

"This is exciting! Thank you!" Rina stated cheerfully.

"I do have to admit. You surprised me." Satsuki said with a bit of a surprised look on his face.

"This is all nice! You prepared this nicely!" Aiko stated.

"I love it!" Hina said.

"A glass of wine, please..." Azusa stated.

I think I'll ask for one as well... That little conversation that Kaname and I had at the fountain made me a bit nervous. It sounded like he was about to confess...

"Hehe... This was all Aido's idea. He want to throw a last minute welcome party for you all to make you all feel at home."

"That was sweet of him. Um, excuse me sir? May I have a glass of wine as well?" I asked.

Maybe unwinding a bit will make the nervousness go away....

~Aiko Reizei~

I sat down in the couch, watching how Serenity asked for her glass of wine. Every time she drinks, she starts to act really weird. Not the usual, everyday Serenity Tsukiyomi.

"Are you alright, Aiko-san?" Takuma Ichijo asked as he sat by my side.

"I'm fine... Just a bit worried about Serenity. I truthfully want their relationship to be mended. Those two are meant to be together. They are like pieces of a puzzle that are meant to be together. I told Serenity to be cold towards Kaname to make him regret what he did, but... Kaname does look hurt every time Serenity rejects him."

I looked over at Serenity, who was drinking her third glass of wine. She really drinks those down in one gulp...

"I'm going to go and get some fresh air... It's getting a bit hot in here..." Serenity stated, lazily making her way out with Kaname behind her with a full glass of wine that was just handed to her.

I sighed. "She's going to confess her feelings to him..."

"How do you know that?" Takuma asked.

"I told you. When she's drunk, she is more truthful. She is going tell him how she feels in her own little awkward way."

"I see..." Takuma answered.

"I just hope that Kaname makes up his mind as soon as possible. I don't want Serenity to get hurt. Serenity is my best friend. If she suffers, then I suffer as well."

"I guess we are the same. Because I feel the same for Kaname. I don't want him to suffer either. He deserves all the happiness in the world after living in misery."

~Kaname Kuran~

I followed Serenity outside, making sure she didn't end up roaming around the academy. She truly isn't acting like herself. It has to be the influence of the wine.

"What a refreshing evening! It truly is just beautiful!" She said in a pleasant tone, taking another sip of her wine.

I then noticed that she was making her way out from the Moon Dorms, flailing around Cross Academy's terrace.

"Serenity, we should turn around. You are not in the condition to-"

"I'm fine! You don't need to babysitting me, Kaname! I'm a grown adult!"

"When you're in this condition, I need to be watching over you." I stated.

Serenity walked faster until she bumped into someone, falling into the ground on her bottom. Her third glass of wine had fallen on the ground and blood was oozing out from her finger.

Just the scent of her blood makes me desire her a great deal...

"Oww..."

When I saw who she had bumped into, I discovered that that person was none other than the vampire hunter Kaito Takamiya, who was on his way out.

"Serenity, I'm so sorry! Are you alright?!" He said, helping her up.

"I'm fine, I'm fine, Kaito..." She stated in her drunken, lazy tone.

Serenity, not realizing what she was doing was hugging Kaito. His face was blushing in different shades of red.

Jealousy wounded up within me at the sight of the both of them together.

"You're drunk, aren't you..." Kaito stated.

"What are you talking about? I am no such thing!" Serenity answered.

Kaito sighed.

"Oi. Make sure to take your wife to her room. She is not in such condition to be going around the academy drunk, especially when its outside the Moon Dorms. Serenity, can you please return to the Moon Dorms and get some rest?"

"Sure...." She stated, turning around and walking back to the Moon Dorms.

"Please do make sure she gets to bed and doesn't wander around." Kaito stated.

"Heh. You don't have to ask me." I said with a smirk on my face, catching up to Serenity who was ahead of me.

Serenity stopped, only to look up at the moon that was shining proudly in the sky.

~play the music~

"Isn't the moon so beautiful, Kaname...?" She stated, attempting to keep herself up.

I put both of my hands on her shoulders to keep her up.

"Indeed it is." I answered.

"Ne, Kaname... Can I ask you somethin'?" She asked.

"What is it?"

"If Rido didn't do what he did to both the Kuran residence and the Sora Empire, would I have been in your heart completely...? Or would you still be....conflicted as you are now?" She asked in her lazy, drunk tone.

I didn't know what to answer her. She's asking me this because the effects of the the alcohol are taking over her.

"I do not know..." I answered.

"Kaname....why...would you....love someone as.....naive as....Yuuki-san? You do realize that....I love you so much....and ever since....that...night....I never saw you again...I yearned for you... Why? Why did you hurt me like this....? I just want to be with you...." She concluded, passing out on me.

I then noticed that tears were falling down from her eyes.

My eyes widened in surprise. She really does love me. But when she wakes up tomorrow evening, she's not going to remember any of this because of the state she is currently in.

"These conflicting feelings that I have for both you and Yuuki.... I absolutely despise them. I don't want these feelings. I want to have feelings for just one of you... I want to give all of my love and affection to one of you. I promise... I will soon make my decision and answer you, Serenity. But for now, all I can do is be by your side. I'm sorry if this seems so cruel to you..." I whispered to her, wiping away the tears that came out from her eyes.

And with that, I took her in my arms and brought her back inside to the Moon Dorms.

~Third Person PoV~

Hina's father stood within the shadows of the night, watching at the interaction between Kaname and Serenity.

"Kaname....why...would you....love someone as.....naive as....Yuuki-san? You do realize that....I love you so much....and ever since....that...night....I never saw you again...I yearned for you... Why? Why did you hurt me like this....? I just want to be with you...."  She concluded, passing out on Kaname's chest.

The man couldn't make out what Kaname was saying to Serenity, but he did know one thing.

"My wife did tell me that our relationship started just like this. I fully don't understand why she told me to accompany Hina, if Hina herself is a Royal Pureblood. If she was placed in any form of danger then she can put out the enemy within a period of ten seconds."

"Father, are you well?" Hina said, who came up to him.

"Yes, I am. There is no need to worry."

"Mother wants you to remember. It was a painful, bloody war... And you were greatly affected by it because you wanted to do something about it. You wanted everything to end, so you took action. You were supposedly put into rest, and at that time, Mother conceived me and a few years after my birth, I saw you resting within a coffin. I could not believe that it was my father... I'm sure that maybe all of this just might refresh your memory. Maybe you'll get small pieces of it back..."

"I really do hope so.... If I was part of a massive war, then I want to remember what I did to stop it..." He answered.

"You will.  Maybe just being here will help you remember." Hina stated.

The both of them stood within the shadows, enjoying the nice warm evening.

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

I slowly opened my eyes, only to find myself in a room. When I realized my surroundings, I realized that I was in my dorm in Cross Academy. I slowly sat up against the headboard.

The sun was slowly starting to rise. I was already dressed in my silky white nightgown. Wait... I wasn't dressed like this when I got here...

"How are you feeling, Serenity?"

I looked to the side and saw Kaname sitting on a chair in his sleepwear, his legs crossed.

D-Did he change me?

"Do not worry. I had asked Rima to change you out of the uniform and into some much more comfortable clothing." He stated.

"O-oh... Thank you.." I answered.

"I have prepared some tea for you to relax you a bit. It should slightly clear away your hangover." He stated.

I then saw him serving me a cup of warm tea. Its scent wafted in the air and went into my nose, relaxing me a bit.

"Here you are." He said, handing me the cup of tea.

"Thank you..." I answered as I then took a sip of the tea.

It tastes really nice....

"Serenity, please refrain from getting drunk. It was nice to see a different side of you, but you were wandering around too much. Plus, it really hurt me to see you like that."

He was hurt.... Just what was I doing last night?

"I really care about you. If something is bothering you, please. Don't hesitate to tell me."

I gripped the cup a bit tighter.

I know he's concerned for me, but....

I then took one more sip of the tea and put it on my nightstand.

"I'll think about it. I am a bit tired... You can go back to your room now and get some rest. There's Night Classes tonight, right?"

"Yes. Are you sure you don't need anything else?" Kaname asked as he stood up from his chair.

"No, I'll be okay." I answered.

Kaname then came up to me and placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Rest well, Serenity." He concluded, making his way out from my dorm.

I sighed and laid down. Tears were threatening to fall from my eyes.

I love him... I love him so much...Why can't he just give his love to me? Why does he have to have another woman in his heart? Yuuki Kuran is just a naive little girl who does not know the reality of the real world. She does not know pain. She is privileged with having good friends and an adoptive father who cares deeply for her. She has part of Kaname's heart...

But I don't know if it's just instinct or my strong desire for him, but something is telling me that he doesn't truly love Yuuki. He might be by her side just because he had to fill up a void that he had within his heart after what happened in the Sora Empire ten years ago... And the loss of his parents.... That must have hurt him even more.

I fell asleep, while tears slowly fell from my eyes.

~Your blood is the only thing that quenches my painful thirst~
