11th Night: The Inheritance Ceremony
~Third person PoV, play the song~
Maria and Ichiru stepped out from the carriage in front of Cross Academy.
"Aww... It looks like I came a little too late, Princess Serenity left back already..."
"You will, of course have the opportunity to meet her. You just missed her, that's all.."
"We have the invitations. We'll get in just fine."
Maria looked at the invitations, her eyes not wavering away from them.
"Who gave you those invitations?" Ichiru asked.
"An old friend....More like someone that was once a person that was very dear to me... But in the end, I only found out that I was being used... That brought forth my anger. My malice. And my hatred for the princess..."
Ichiru looked at Maria in suspicion.
She smiled carelessly.
"Just joking~ The Kurenai family has a connection with the Tsukiyomi family, and I just happened to get my hands on the invitations. Nothing important."
"I see..." Ichiru answered with a distant look.
She's lying... She just has to be.... Ichiru thought to himself.
"Well, why don't we go inside and and get changed? Kaname knows of my arrival anyways."
Ichiru nodded and the two went up the stairs. As they made they way to the gates, the rest of the Night Class students were dressed formally, making their way out.
"Hello! You must be the new student! I'm sorry that we have to meet like this, but we are accompanying Kaname to he and Serenity's inheritance ceremony." Takuma answered with a smile.
"Oh no it's fine! I was invited as well, so I will be attending! I just need to leave my things in my dorm in the old Night Class dorms, and get ready. I'll see you all there!" Maria cheerfully stated as she walked away with Ichiru.
As Maria and Ichiru walked away, Ichijo looked slightly confused as they began walking to their limo.
"Kaname let her stay in the old dorms? How peculiar..." He stated.
"I'm surprised that she was invited... I didn't know the Tsukiyomi family had connections with the Kurenai family..." Rima answered in a bit of a confused tone.
"That is strange... The reason we all have the connection is because Kaname's marriage to Princess Serenity. But Maria Kurenai...? How in the world does she-"
"The Kurenai family has ties to the Hio family... They are distant blood relatives. Maybe since the Hio family is known to be servants of the Shiraishi family, possibly-" Akatsuki stated.
All of them then got in the car, and continued the conversation as the car pulled forward.
"No.. It cannot be. Shizuka Hio was the last Hio known to existence. And she was banished from the Kaze Kingdom. That broke her connections to the Shiraishi family." Aido responded.
"Did you take a look at how her invitation looked like? It will tell whether it is an invitation from the Emperor, Empress, Prince, or Princess." Senri asked.
"We have the silver ticket, which is an invitation from the Sora Empire's prince, to which is Kaname... She had a golden ticket, which means that she was invited by the Emperor or Empress...." Aido stated.
"Why would either of them even invite a blood relative of Shizuka Hio...?" Rima asked.
"No idea... " Aido responded.
~Serenity Tsukiyomi~
Once we had stepped out of the car, the grand Sora Castle towered in front of us, where the moon shined greatly above it. The lights glimmered on the castle, and the butlers and maids were standing at the entrance, waiting for our arrival.
"I will see you all at the event." The Emperor said as he put the cloak over his head and walked to where guests were arriving early.
"Princess Serenity, Prince Kaname, and Princess Hina. We have been awaiting for your arrival. Please follow us to the throne room, for the Emperor and Empress requires your presence." Kimura said with a bow.
"Of course." I answered.
The three of us walked into the castle, with Kimura leading the way.
Hina looked around the castle in awe. "Wow... I cannot believe this is how it looked like back then. In the future it looks, well- I'm not going to say anything." She said, with a smirk.
Her smirk is just like Kaname's....
I giggled to myself as I covered my lips with my hand.
It hasn't been long since I have left the castle, but to be honest, I really missed it.
"So have you made your decision, Kaname-sama, Serenity-denka?" Kimura asked.
"Yes. We have. I am going to tell my parents our resolve." I confidently stated.
Kimura smiled. "I can see your decision. I can tell just by the rings on your fingers."
"Yes, I guess you can." Kaname answered.
"Isn't that great, Hinata-denka?"
"Eh?"
Did he just call her.... Hinata?
"Your mother and father are going to remain together." He stated with a carefree smile.
How does he...
"I happened to come across the 'other' Kaname Kuran. He looked suspicious so I took him to a corner where no other guests saw us, and he told me the truth, since he said that he can trust me. He told me the story. Your real name is Hinata Kanako Kuran, the daughter of the future Emperor and Empress. You came here with the intention of putting away the ones that came with you here, right?"
"Yeah, that is correct..." Hina answered in surprise.
"But it's best that we keep this a secret. I don't want Hina to grab too much attention from the public."
"Agreed. If it is discovered that she is a member of the royal family of the future, then too many will have their eyes on her."
"Yeah. It is best that I don't gather too much attention and keep my identity as Hina Tsukiyomi, Serenity's cousin."
"Your Majesties, your daughter, son-in-law, and niece have arrived."
"Enter." My father stated from behind the doors.
When I had entered, my parents were sitting on their thrones, maintaining their usual majestic presence.
I noticed a very weird aura between them, as if they had had some sort of quarrel. That's strange... I've never seen my parents like that before. They seem so distant from each other...
"Mother, Father... Is everything alright?" I asked curiously.
"Everything is fine, Serenity. I just want to know your decision." My father said, forcing a smile on his face.
I took Kaname's hand and squeezed it tightly.
"We are going to remain a married couple and inherit the thrones of the Sora Empire." I said confidently.
"We knew you two would say that. That is why we had already planned the ceremony and passed out invitations beforehand. I'm looking forward to seeing the first few days of your transition as rulers before we fall to rest." Mother stated in a gentle tone.
"Thank you." Kaname and I said in unison as we both bowed.
"By the way, Serenity, I must say... Hina here reminds me so much of you." Father stated as he looked at her suspiciously.
"And why is that?" Hina asked.
"Serenity is very shy when meeting new people. In meetings, especially. You seem really shy." Mother stated.
They are very perceptive...
"And I don't know why.... But her voice... It kind of sounds similar to Kaname's, but you know, female."
"She does not resemble Kei at all. "
"And I've seen his wife Kotomi Ouri only once. She has blond hair..."
"Who are you, and what is your purpose, Miss Hina?"
"Mother, Father... Hina's come from the future Sora Empire to help us. Plus she came after two of our enemies that wish to change the past so that the future can change.
"That's not possible... One cannot just come from the future!" My father said.
"My name is Hinata Kuran. I am the princess of the Sora Empire in the future, and Kaname and Serenity's daughter. Serenity is right. I came to this time to help and Kaname out and defeat Akio and Aito, who are Vampire Slayers, their goal being to end the existence of vampires. I apologize for attempting to keep it a secret, but I believe that it was necessary."
My mother looked away, as my father stood up and walked up to us.
"So you are my granddaughter, then. You resemble Serenity a great deal. A pleasure to meet your acquaintance, my name is Eiji Tsukiyomi."
"No, the honor's all mine, Grandfather!" Hina answered with a nervous smile.
Kaname and I smiled at the sight, however, I noticed that my mother had stepped out from the throne room.
"Kaname, I'll be right back."
"Is everything alright, Serenity?"
"Yeah. I'm just going to go check on my mother. She left so suddenly..."
Kaname kissed my hand and smiled.
"I'll see you at the ceremony, then." I answered.
I quickly left the throne room and found my mother walking outside to the balcony.
"Mother, wait!"
"Serenity?" She called out questionably, looking at me in surprise.
"Mother, why did you leave all of a sudden?" I asked as I was catching my breath.
"I just wanted some fresh air, honey. That's all."
"Are you sure? Did something go on between you and Father?"
"It's fine, honey. It's between your father and I. And it is not a big deal. Now you should go and get ready for the ceremony. Preparations will take awhile. Excuse me, you two. Prepare the princess for the ceremony."
"Of course, Your Highness."
I sighed and followed the maids. I turned around and looked at my mother, who continued walking to the balcony. Something about her is off...
"Serenity-sama... Are you alright?" One of the maids asked.
I forced a smile. "Yes, I'm fine don't worry. Just do what you have to do to get me ready."
"Yes, Princess. Right this way." One of the maids said, motioning me to follow them.
I nodded and continued walking when I heard my father calling out.
"Sakura! You have no reason to be angry with me!"
"Really... After what you did is unforgivable, Eiji. I can't believe you went that far just to-"
"Shut up! We will NOT speak about that again! That was in the past, and we agreed to never speak of this again once we took the thrones."
My parents were having some conversation, but I wasn't able to grasp the rest of it, since I was getting further from them.
What happened in their past....? Ugh, even if I did ask them, they will refuse to tell me the answer... I guess after this ceremony ends, I guess I'm going to have to have to find the answers on my own...
My eyes widened. I knew I forgot something! I forgot to give Zero and Kaito their invitations!
I quickly took the silver invitations out from my purse.
"Excuse me, do one of you mind passing these invitations over to Kimura? I need him to hand these over to some friends at Cross Academy."
"Of course." One of the maids answered as she took the invitations, and ran, searching for Kimura.
~Zero Kiryu~
I was laying in bed, looking straight up to the ceiling. So tonight is the night that Kuran and Serenity become the official heirs to the thrones of Sora Empire...
*knock knock*
"Zero? Are you in there?" Yuuki called from outside my room.
"What do you want?"
"You've been locked in there all afternoon! It's 9:30 pm! Don't you want something to eat, or-"
"I'm fine, Yuuki. Go to sleep already. Take advantage of the fact that there are no Night Classes tonight."
Damn it... Here it comes again... That desire for Serenity's thick blood.
"Zero, are you sure you are alright? You really don't sound okay! I'm coming in."
Yuuki had entered the room, noticing my blood thirst.
"Zero! Are you alright?" She worriedly asked, running up to my side.
"Get out of here...."
"No! I refuse to leave you like this!"
"Yuuki, I am not going to say it again... I may end up hurting you. "
"It doesn't matter! If that is what is going to take to make you feel better, then so be it."
Any kind of blood can suffice for now... I want this pain to go away, and I want it to leave right now.
I pulled Yuuki into the bed with me and looked at her neck.
"Take it... Take my blood, Zero..."
I grunted as I bit into her neck.
"Agh...."
She put her arms around me in reassurance.
"It's okay, Zero... Take as much as you need to make you feel better."
I'm not going to hurt her... I'm just going to take the amount that will take this pain away... I don't want her to become my blood bag..
"I will protect you, Zero... I won't let you fade away..." Yuuki whispered once again.
What is with this girl...?
I then retracted my fangs and wiped the extra blood away.
"Thank you, Yuuki. Now go get rest. I'll be okay."
"Are you sure?"
"I am. Now go."
Yuuki then buttoned her shirt and left to her room.
"Oi. Zero."
A few minutes later, Kaito was knocking on the door.
I didn't respond.
"Zero... It's about Serenity." He stated with a sigh.
Always using Serenity as an excuse for me to talk...
I sighed. "What?"
Kaito opened the door, and entered, holding two silver tickets and an extra suit.
"Get ready. We're going to Sora Empire." Kaito stated in a confident tone, throwing the suit at me.
"And where did you get those invitations?" I asked.
"Serenity did. She forgot to give them to us, so she asked her butler to bring them here. He was kind of in a rush, since he had to return to make the finishing touches."
I sat up in bed. "I don't know if I should-"
"She wants you there. Come on, Zero. Are you really going to reject her invitation?"
It's not safe for me to be over there... Especially since I desire her blood so greatly...
"Come on... It's our childhood friend. This is a big evening for both her and Kuran. You don't have to be there for Kuran, but at least be there for her."
"Whatever. Get out."
"Really Zero?! Serenity's looking forwa-"
"Get out so I can get ready, you idiot."
Kaito smirked. "Hurry though. She kind of sent these to us last minute. We have time, but it's best to be there early."
"All right." I answered.
~Third person PoV~
Aito and Akio were walking to their ride, as Ichio and the other stood in front of the villa.
"You two better be careful. There are guards there guarding at every spot in castle grounds." Ichio stated.
"They'll be fine... They have me." Kei stated, who was dressed formally.
"You are attending, Kei-sama? But didn't you abdicate?"
"I want to pay a visit to my family. Just to see how they are doing. Sara had informed me that Maria Kurenai was invited to the ball. But I know that that isn't Maria Kurenai that is in that body. It's none other then Shizuka Hio."
"And why is there a problem with that?" Toma asked.
"Because the Hio family was banished from the Kaze Kingdom. Plus, I'm not surprised that she was invited. She was once a valuable asset to the Tsukiyomi family."
"In what way?"
"That is not your problem. Aito, do you have the serum?"
"Yes." He answered as he touched his bag.
"Well, we are departing. If you all are so curious, then why don't you search for the answer yourselves?" Kei concluded as he and the Hiroi twins made their way to the car.
"Why is it such a big deal that they are keeping it a secret?" Toma said in a bothered tone.
"Who knows...." Sara said, looking over at the car as it got further from the villa.
~In the distant future...~
Empress Serenity sighed as she looked at her past self through a mirror, who seemed to be in a worried state.
"This is the moment in your life where you have to be strong, my past self.... From here on out, things will get worse and you will discover some very surprising things along the way..." She stated in an elegant tone as she was putting fresh red roses on her husband's desk.
"...But that is what is going to help you grow..."
*knock knock*
She then put away the image and turned around.
"Yes?"
"Serenity, Mitsuru is here. He is looking for Hina." Aido stated in a casual tone as he entered the room.
Since he and I have been through thick and thin, trying to find ways to awaken Kaname, he's been living at the castle ever since, and I just told him and the others not to use formalities and just be casual with me.
"Didn't I tell you that Hinata was going to leave with Kaname to the past? They went to chase those troublesome Hiroi twins who want to change the course of time. Plus, I believe it's the best way for him to get his memories back. He has a right to know."
"Aw, damn it! I forgot! W-What do I say to him?!"
I giggled. "Just bring him up here. I'll have the conversation with him."
"Okay, right away!" He said, running to look for him.
On Kaname's desk, she saw a picture of he and Serenity in their last days in Cross Academy before everything happened. Both of them were in our Night Class uniforms, his arm around her waist.
"The memories... It feels like it was just yesterday that we were students at Cross Academy..." She whispered to myself as she touched the picture.
"Empress Serenity?"
"Mitsuru, welcome. Please, have a seat." The Empress motioned him as she pointed to one of the seats in front of the desk.
She sat down as he did as well.
"I take it that you are looking for Hinata, are you?" Serenity asked.
"Yes, she hasn't called me or even come to my village... I'm a bit worried..."
"No need to worry. Hinata went with her father to the past to take care of some problems."
"Wait... Emperor Kaname has finally awakened?!"
"Recently, yes. Thanks to the work of Hanabusa Aido, your esteemed uncle, he was able to find a way."
"Wow, my uncle really is incredible."
"Indeed. A very smart fellow he is. Anyways, going back to the subject on Hinata... This happened quickly, so she did not have the time to reach you. I apologize for not sending a message to you any sooner."
"What is her purpose, then? Why did she go to the past?"
"To recapture or kill the Hiroi twins, her choice."
"D-Did you just say Hiroi? As Aito Hiroi?!"
She nodded her head.
"Please excuse my rudeness, Empress Serenity, but that man almost raped her! He abused her in every way, both emotionally and physically! Why did you send her to do it? I could have gone with the Emperor and done the deed!"
"Because Hinata decided to do this for herself. As the representative of the Sora Empire, she believes this was the right thing to do. I must agree with her as well."
"Please give me permission to go to the past." Mitsuru asked.
"Mitsuru. You must remain here." Serenity answered.
"I cannot! Not when Hinata is over there with that....monster!"
"Hinata is a Royal Pureblood. If Aito tries to hurt her, he has no chance against her." Serenity stated confidently.
"How would you know that. That asshole knows fully well that she is a Royal Pureblood. Don't you think that he would come up with a Plan B?"
Serenity's eyes widened as if she had remembered something and stood up.
"Actually, do me a favor and go there to check things out. Tonight is the Inheritance Ceremony. Try not to make yourself obvious."
"Yes, of course! I'll go right away."
"The portal is located in the first floor of the castle. Once you go down the main staircase, take a right and at the end of the hallway you should find the portal room. It will take you right to this certain room in the past. The Inheritance Ceremony will take place in the Caelum Ballroom. People will ask who you are. Just say that you are a member of the Aido family. You resemble your uncle a great deal."
"Thank you, Empress Serenity. I'll protect your daughter with my life." Mitsuru said as he made his way out from the room.
Serenity smiled. "Well, I must return to my office to finish that paperwork..."
The Empress then left Kaname's office and closed the door.
"All set, Your Highness?" Kimura asked.
"Yes." I then followed Kimura into my office, getting back to work.
~Serenity Tsukiyomi's PoV. the present~
"You look beautiful, Serenity-denka."
The hairstyle I had was simple: it was a done in a bun with my bangs to the side. Atop my head, I wore the crown of the Royal Princess of the Sora Empire. I wore a one- shoulder turquoise colored dress that wasn't complicated to walk in. It has the same color roses on the side. The shoes were high-heeled turquoise shoes that matched the dress. I wore the royal sash that the princess of the Sora Empire normally wears. It was gold with strands of white. To the bottom of it, it had a small ribbon.
I have such a desire to be in my beloved's arms... I want to feel his warm, delicate touch, his kisses... I cannot wait to meet up with him.
I hope those invitations got to Zero and Kaito... I can't believe I forgot to give it to them... That French lecture with the Day Class was really mentally exhausting, that I just went back to my dorm and fell asleep. I woke up, only to find Kaname spooning me. We spent the entire afternoon just relaxing and I completely forgot....
"Your husband is waiting for you next door. He's all set as well."
"Thank you!" I answered, exiting the room.
*knock knock*
"Come in."
I smiled and entered the room.
Standing, looking out to the window was Kaname nicely dressed in a suit. He was wearing a royal sash as well. The sash was the same golden color, however, it had blue strands instead of white. On the table, was the Sora Empire's prince's crown.
"Kaname?"
He turned around and smiled, making his way over to me.
"You look beautiful, my princess..." He said as he pulled me into an embrace.
I brought my arms around him and gave into his warm embrace.
"You, as well..."
There was a bang on a door.
"Serenityyy!"
Rina's voice reverberated from behind the door.
The door opened and in entered the other prince and princesses entered the room
"Oh my goodness, you two are coordinating colors!" Rina said in a surprised tone.
"So cute!" Aiko said, with both her hands together.
Satsuki looked away with a slight blush, as Azusa looked at me with a smirk.
"The future Emperor and Empress of the Sora Empire. What a majestic presence we have before us!" Azusa stated.
The both of us chuckled at his declaration.
"We got here just in time..."A familiar voice called from behind.
I turned around, and Zero and Kaito were at the door as well.
"Guys, you made it!" I said cheerfully, running up to them.
"We would miss it for the world. And you look beautiful, Serenity..." Kaito said, planting a kiss on my hand.
I giggled at his gesture.
"What a gentleman..." I answered.
"Must be one with a beautiful princess such as you..."
Kaname was glaring at Kaito, and Kaito smirked.
"Really, Kuran? Don't be jealous 'cuz of this... She's yours already. This is my way of congratulating a majestic girl such as her."
"Heh..." Kaname answered.
My eyes widened when I sensed a very familiar presence within the vicinity of the castle.
How dare she even set foot into this castle? And who in their right mind invited her?!
"Kaname-sama, Serenity-sama, the guests await your arrival." Kimura said with a bow.
"And that's our cue to leave to the ballroom..." Azusa said.
The others nodded in agreement, and started to make their way out from the room.
"I'll see you down there, Serenity." Zero said with a smile as he put his hand on my shoulder.
"I'll see you there." I answered.
Zero walked out and Kaito was the only one left in the room.
"Don't trip on the staircase, Serenity-denka." Kaito said.
"Mou.... I'm not! Get down there already..." I said with a pout as I had my arms crossed.
Kaito smiled and turned around.
"It's good to see that you are smiling even more than before..." Kaito whispered as he exited the room.
"Don't forget to put that on." I said, pointing at the prince's crown that was on the table.
"Ah, yes. I forgot."
"Here. Let me put that on for you..." I said, taking the crown as I gently placed it on his head.
"You look handsome, Prince Kaname."
He smiled.
"Thank you... And of course, you look beautiful, my beloved princess. Shall we depart?" He asked, putting his arm out.
"Yes." I answered, putting my hand on his arm.
As we were approaching the staircase of the Caelum Ballroom, I heard my father making a speech.
"Many of you have been hesitant to whether my daughter, Princess Serenity, and her husband Kaname Kuran, who is the current head of the Kuran family, will succeed the thrones..."
As my father continued his speech, I asked Kaname a question.
"Kaname, have you seen Hina?" I whispered.
"Hina? I'm sure she went to go look for her father. She might be there in the ballroom."
I'm a bit surprised... I thought she would come and see us before we showed ourselves, but I guess not.
"Without further ado, I would like to welcome your future Emperor and Empress, Serenity Tsukiyomi Kuran and Kaname Kuran."
I held his arm a bit tighter.
"It's okay, Serenity. I'm here for you now, and I'll always be for all eternity."
My heart calmed down a bit and I smiled, moving forward to the ballroom.
We were welcomed by a great deal of camera flashes and applause. There was a pillar that had a piece of paper that had the stamps. The stamps had our names in kanji and that was the way we would 'sign' our papers.
"I knew it! Ever since they were children, I just knew that those two were going to succeed!"
Kaname and I smiled at the audience, however I saw a girl standing in the back with a masked man behind her.
I know who she is... She isn't have to hide herself.
She smiled cheerfully and waved her hand at me.
Shizuka Hio...
Kaname and I stood in front of the pillar.
"Taking this role comes with a great deal of responsibility... You both will represent the Sora Empire, and be the leaders of the Royal Purebloods. If you two believe you'll be able to handle this great responsibility, then sign this paper." My mother stated.
I was ready for this since I was a child... I have mentally prepared myself for this...
I let go of Kaname's arm and stepped forward and took my personal stamp, taking the cap off from it.
"I, Serenity Tsukiyomi Kuran, hereby accept the role of becoming the Sora Empire's next Empress." I then stamped the paper with my signature stamp.
I smiled and looked at Kaname, nodding my head.
He smiled in response, and walked up to the pillar.
"I, Kaname Kuran, hereby accept the role of becoming the Sora Empire's next Emperor." He, as well stamped his name on the paper.
"Congratulations, you two."
It was a quick ceremony, but it was an eye opener for the citizens of the Sora Empire. They can now rest assured that they will have their rulers in the future.
Kaname and I then walked down the staircase.
"Serenity-denka, congratulations!"
That girl that I believe to be Shizuka Hio walked up to me.
"I'm so proud of you. You've come so far after what happened..." She whispered, then walking away.
"Who invited you here?" Kaname spoke in a low tone, trying not to get the attention of the public.
She giggled, covering her lips with her hand.
"...Eiji Tsukiyomi, of course! It was very kind of him to invite me to see his daughter's ceremony!"
My father.... But why? That woman... destroyed Zero's life.
"Lady Serenity... Congratulations." The masked man stated, turning around and walking away.
Ichiru....
He doesn't regret his betrayal, but has the nerve to show himself... How pitiful.
She giggled "That Ichiru... Sometimes I think to whether or not he had feelings for you..." She said, turning around and making her way to the exit.
"Well, well, well... Congratulations, future Emperor and Empress."
Approaching us was none other than my uncle Kei.
"What the hell are you doing here, traitor?" I stated angrily.
"Now, now. Serenity. You shouldn't be speaking in that language. I just came here to congratulate you, that is, if you make it to your coronation day."
"How dare you... come here and say those things. You know we are going to stop you..."
"Serenity-san. Have you seen Hinata?" The Emperor had come up and asked me.
"No...I thought she was with you.."
"She was, but she went to go get a drink. She never came back and was absent for the ceremony."
Oh no...
~In the villa within the depths of the woods, Hinata Kuran's PoV~
I slowly opened my eyes, finding myself chained to the walls of a prison cell. Both my hands and ankles were cuffed.
"Ugh, the last thing I can remember is one of the butlers offering me a drink and I passed out from there... No way... he put something in it?"
I have to get out of here...
My eyes glowed golden as I tried to break free from the cuffs.
"My sweet princess... That won't help. That serum shuts down your powers. You're putty in my hands now..."
Behind the bars of my cell, was a face I never wanted to meet eyes with again..
...Aito.
"What the hell is this?!"
"Shhh... It's okay. You'll be safe here... Until you fade away, that is..."
"What are you getting at?"
"Your mother is going to die. Along with your father and the rest of the Royal Purebloods..."
"Are you insane?!"
Aito opened the cell and loosened his tie while entering, and bent down.
"I'm not... I'm doing what is best for the human race.... There is no need for the existence of vampires in this world. I just wish that you weren't Emperor Kaname and Empress Serenity's daughter... Then maybe things could have been more different.." He said as he caressed my cheek.
This just feels so uncomfortable... It takes me back to that time...
"Don't touch me.... You monster."
"Hina... Don't say that. I really love you. You're the one who caused all of this! The end of our relationship, everything... But I could no longer ignore the pain of seeing you with that Mitsuru, I just had to take more dramatic measures to make you mine."
He then kissed me in the lips with such a passion, that I wanted to pull back, but I just couldn't because of how weak my body has become because of that serum. Damn it.... Now I'm craving blood so bad... And I refuse to take blood from this thing...
"I can't believe this is happening... You don't know how happy I am to be here with you, my love.. You'll get to spend your final days here with me before you fade from existence..."
I will not show fear. I refuse to.
"Get the hell out of my sight. Your face is the last thing I want to see, you pathetic Vampire Slayer."
He then slapped me.
"How dare you speak to me in that tone. You will respect me! No one will find you here. Anyways, Kei's going to come and ask you questions later. After that, I'll take you to my room. A delicate princess such as yourself should not be in these harsh conditions..." He said, giving me a kiss on my forehead.
"Ugh, get out. I'd rather be locked in here than be in the same room as you."
Aito then injected more of the liquid into me.
"What the..."
"Rest now, my love."
With that, I fell to sleep...
Mitsuru....Mom...Dad.... Anyone... Please come and save me...
~Serenity Tsukiyomi~
"Seems like the plan was successful..." My uncle said as he disappeared with lightning covering him.
Damn it! Aito got her from right under our noses! We should have been more alert! We tried to not cause a scene to not alarm our guests.
"Emperor Kaname!" A voice called out from behind.
I turned around, only to see a man that's about 20 years old with blond hair and electric blue eyes standing in front of him, bowing.
"Mitsuru Yamamoto. The heir to the Yamamoto clan, I presume?" The Emperor asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I'm looking for Hina, is she safe? Where is she?"
He looked away.
"No....No, no, no.... This isn't possible. That bastard took her! He's going to hurt her!" Mitsuru said in a worried tone.
So this must be Hina's lover.... I can just tell from a glance how much he cares about her...
"I-I have to go save her. Who knows what they are doing to her.... Ugh! If I had only known she had come her sooner, I could have-"
"He will pay for taking my daughter...." I had then noticed that under his hood, the Emperor's eyes were glowing gold. How in the world did that come to be...? I can still sense that he is just a Pureblood vampire!
Anyways, that's not the problem now! I have to think of the places where Aito could have taken her....
"Is everything alright here?" My father asked, who was standing behind Kaname and I.
"Father, Hina has been taken. We must plan a rescue mission at once. She must have been injected by some sort of serum, because I cannot sense her powers anywhere."
"All right. Then we'll have to stop everything here and devise a plan to go save her."
We all nodded our heads.
"Honored guests, I'm afraid that this gala will be scheduled for another time. A great deal has come up for members of the royal family. Will the aristocrats that accompany Kaname and the representatives of the other kingdoms please remain here? And you two vampire hunters in the back as well."
Everyone then began to depart the ballroom, and the last one was Maria Kurenai, who was looking at my father with a smirk for some sort of reason.
"Thanks for the invitation, Eiji..." She stated with a smirk.
"It was nice to see that you're well, Serenity..." Ichiru said as he followed her.
As soon as the guests all departed from the room, we had all made our way to the meeting room to introduce Mitsuru and come up with some sort of plan to rescue Hina.
~Hinata Kuran~
Mitsuru and I were standing in front of a waterfall located beyond the woods of the Sora Empire.
"It's so beautiful..." Mitsuru said, looking at the water fountain in awe.
"I come here sometimes when I feel lonely... You see, my father is in some sort of coma... They have him encased in ice, and it's been 19 years, Mitsuru... I don't even know if he's ever going to wake up. My mother and Hana are trying to find a cure... But it's taking them so much time. I want him to just wake up... I want him to be a part of my life as well..." I said, as tears threatened to fall from my eyes.
"Hina..."
"I always make a wish.... and it's the same one every time. I want to see my my father's eyes open.... Please help my mother and Hanabusa. Mother doesn't show me her feelings, but I see her silently cry as she looks at Father's frozen body... "
Mitsuru embraced me tightly.
"If you want your wish to become a reality, then you have to be strong and not let anything bring you down..." He whispered.
"Oi. Wake up, Princess Hinata. You have a great deal of explaining to do." He said with his arms crossed, giving off a threatening aura.
My eyes slowly open, only to find my surroundings a bit blurry.
When I opened my eyes, they met with Kei Tsukiyomi.
I looked at him with such a hateful expression, and he smirked as a reply.
"Hehe.... Just like your mother. Now, Hinata. Tell me a bit about the future, and how there is a way to change it, or else, I'll torture you like there is no tomorrow." Kei said with an evil smile.
"I refuse. The future is as fine as it is. I will not allow such insolence to happen." I stated confidently.
His eyes glew gold, and he becgan to electrocute me. How the hell is this supposed to hurt....? My power has to do with lightning for goodness sakes! It has to be that serum that Aito injected into me.
"Tell me, Hinata. Right now." He threatened.
"Hell....no...."
"Hina, please.... I don't want to see you get hurt..." Aito said, who stood behind him.
Hah. yeah right. You shouldn't even be talking.
I'll make sure I find a way to escape.... There just has to be a way out... If I want my wish to become a reality, I will not let any of my enemies bring me down. I will be strong like I always have. I will never show my weakness to anyone.
I am the daughter of Kaname Kuran and Serenity Tsukiyomi, two strong people who fought until the very end, never showing their weakness. I will do the same.
"Torture me with all you have, Kei... Because I will never tell you anything." I answered with a smirk.
~Your blood is the only thing that quenches my painful thirst~
