"AHHHHH!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" A very familiar voice screamed as running to me. I turn my head to see one of my two best friends, Mia, sprinting at me. She tackled me making me scream out and hit the floor. The very athletic girl covered me with kisses and smiles. As a joke, Mia and I would always joke about being married and gay together. Mia has a boyfriend and he doesn't care, in fact he wants to watch 'if anything happens'. Pervert.

"Oh my god Mia I can't breathe!!" The girl gets off of me and I exhale in relief. "What the hell did you eat this morning? Suger coated cookies with whip cream?" I cracked my back after I stumbled up. Rick mutters goodbye and went to go join his friends somewhere.

"Nah! More like a whole grapefruit with a protein shake. Also a Strawberry smoothie from Starbucks." Oh dear lord help us all.

"Damnit." I groaned since she's gonna be hyper for the next few hours then pass out as soon as the clock hits 3. Well I'll have to count her out of the beer bonfire.

"But I promised myself I'll stay up." It's like she read my flipping mind. "I promise! Oh and Alíce is running a little late. She lost your birthday present." Ah shit. I hate when people give me presents.

I groaned loudly and began walking to the hallway that lead to my locker. Mia stood in my way.

"Hey! No no. You're not allowed there yet." I tried stepping left, she did the same. I tried right, she did the same again. I darted to the left to psych is her out and ran down the hall. "Nooo!! Graaaiiiii senpaaaiiii come baccckkk." I kept running until I got to my locker, which my other best friend, Alíce, was covering it with black glitter and pink glitter and happy birthday signs.

"Awwwwww." Alíce spun around in surprise. She groans and dropped a confetti shooter thing.

"Zut! J'ai dit Mia ne pas vous laisser revenir ici!" Alíce cursed in French. She facepalmed before forcing a smile. "Happy birthday Grai. Sorry it looks shitty but... Ya know.. I tried.." She giggled and her Rosy cheeks heated up. Gawd. If I wasn't straight I'd date the hell out of her. She is a sassy, gorgeous plus size girl that I would NOT mind taking to bed.

I looked at the sparkling locker and felt a tear fall from my cheek.

"Alíce it's gorgeous.." I mumbled and brightly smiled. "Thank you so much!" I hugged her and she crushed me in her bear hug. I squeal and shrivel to the ground. Another thing about her that I love, amazing hugs.

Mia comes around the corner, panting. I don't know what room her so long.. I got to my locker before her-- and I'm wearing heels. She points down the hall where she came from.

"N-New s-student.. Very.. Hot.." She panted more and I raised my eyebrow. Slowly I peeked around the corner and heard Alíce gasp.

A guy walks down the hall with mostly brown hair and a section of it bleached blonde. He had a lip ring that rested on his gorgeous pink lips. Oh and his tan skin made my blood bubble like a hot tub. His leather jacket was fitting perfectly around his torso, which covered most of his Alice In Chains t shirt. He slowly strides past us three and kept going. Just as i was tracing my tongue over my lip piercing, he looked over his shoulder and winked directly at me. My face heated up slightly as I gulped. He continued to walk away, all eyes on him.

"Damn!" Mia punched my arm, making me yelp. She can pack a punch. "He winked at you!" She grinned.

"Yeah. Maybe after all these years you can finally get in your birthday suit with a guy on your birthday." Alíce nudged me and I blushes brightly. Mia nudged me too.

"Yeah.." They giggled at my dumbfounded response. He was breath taking. (Oh but silly Grai, be doesn't end up as the one... And you know it!)

Students started to crowd the halls as class was close to starting. Mia's boyfriend, Randy, lips out from a crowd with his football jersey on and wrapped an arm around her waist, dragging her off to God knows where. Alíce shrugged at me and I opened my locker. Dozens.. Maybe even hundreds of gift cards for my favorite stores pile up at the bottom. I look at Alíce as she has a giant grin.

"What's all this?" I grinned and picked up a $25 Starbucks gift card.

"Your presents from Me, Mia, Randy, Rick, and the track team." Oh. I forgot to mention I'm in track. I'm a sprinter.

"Aw.. Thank you.." I engulfed Alíce into another hug and I'm pretty sure she broke my spine with that hug.

The bell rang and I swore I've never seen Alíce disappear so fast. Just as I was putting the cards in my purse, I noticed I forgot my first hour binder in my car. Quickly I grabbed my phone, shoving it in my butt pocket, my pencil case and my keys. I speed walk down the hallway and outside to the parking lot-- which was now over flowing with cars.

I speed walk down the row of cars. Suddenly, a beer bottle hits the ground beside me making me shriek. I look at the shattered bottle then around myself for anyone that threw it.

"H...Hello?" I squeaked nervously and clutched my phone to my chest. I felt like I was being watched. Slowly I took step after step towards parking spot 66. I felt a hand on my shoulder making me whirl around to smack someone, but no one was there. I gave in.

I sprinted from parking spot 32 to 60. I let out a loud shriek when I hit the ground. A low chuckle was hears behind me. A hand gripped my ankle as I was yanked behind a black Jeep. I began thrashing around as screaming. A figure above me held my throat and dug their nails into my throat.

"H...Help.." My eyes fluttered open to see the boy from earlier. His mouth was open and showed two very sharp canine teeth.

"You're gorgeous.. I don't blame him for choosing you." Him?! Someone planned to do this to me?! "He was angry he had to sit until you turned 19.." The boy growled and his grip tightened. I reached my hand into my pocket, always carrying a pen that was actually a blade. I pop the cap open and stabbed him in the arm. He roared angrily and I get up, running to my car.

I jiggle my locked door and look for my keys.

"FUCK! OH MY GOD!" I sobbed, terrified. At some point I thought this dude would be nice.. Hot.. And a possible boyfriend.

"Looking for these?" I spun around to see him holding my keys with her bloody arm. He holds then over a sewer.

"N-No." I whimpered and he dropped them through the bars. "Noo!!" I screamed and ran towards him.

Another figure came into view and tackled me. I thrashed around but they put all their weight on me. My legs have never hurt so much..and I'm in track.. The smell of their.. Yummy.. Cologne.. Made me.. Get... Dizzy...

A sudden pain ripped through my chest as I let out a weak scream. I tried to thrash around but I was way too weak. The figure gets off of me and I shakily touch the pain where my chest was. I gripped a handle and wiggles a giant dagger out of my chest. The blade had a pentagram on it and something encrypted on it.

"Sometimes you can't outrun your demons.
So you might as well as turn around and feed them.."

I felt my eyes get heavy and I dropped the knife in the ground. Two memorizing eyes gleamed into mine.

"Sleep well, my devil."

And darkness consumed me.
