Chapter 6
WTF guys, ya'll killed me with the positive comments on last chapter, honestly it makes me smile so much, you have no idea. I love love love you guys.
Lets get on with the story.
....
I honked my horn twice, waiting for Sydney to get her lazy ass out of the house. I was in Sydney's driveway, waiting for her to come on, but she woke up late, so now we she's rushing.
Me, Sydney, and Andrew were all hanging out today. Ever since we went to McDonalds, a week ago, Sydney has been non-stop begging me to see Andrew again. So here I was, watching Sydney jog out her house, not wearing her signature blazer.
I turned my head to look at her as she hopped in the car, "No blazer today?"
"Ugh, don't remind me, all my blazers that went with this outfit are in the wash", she pouted, putting on her seat belt. "So where are we going today?"
"Well first, we're going to pick up Andrew, then out for a day of fun. We'll get lunch at somewhere fancy to impress Andrew, then go bowling and then we'll chill somewhere. Sound good?" I pulled out of her driveway, driving down the road.
"Sounds perfect"
...
"This will just be a second", I unbuckled my seat belt as I looked to Sydney, who had a smirk on her face.
I blushed and stepped out the car, making my way to the front porch of the group home that I'm familiar with. I rang the doorbell not having to wait too long, since Andrew surprisingly answered the door relatively fast. He smiled at me and waved as he came out and closed the door behind him, leaving us standing on the porch.
He stepped up and gave me the most amazing hug I've ever had, his warm body pressed against my large one. I breathed in Andrew's signature scent then reluctantly let go, Andrew's warmth leaving with him.
Andrew was dressed in a graphic tee with a sloth on it and some not -too -tight skinny jeans. His hair was styled differently today, it was not in its usual twists, but now in some neat braids, that I have to say is very hot.He looked extraordinary, like always.
My pretty boy.
Your hair looks very pretty Andrew, I like what you did to it.
Thank you, the teen girls did it for me. Andrew looked down cutely.
You ready? I signed, Andrew smiled and nodded. Andrew confessed not too long ago that he really loved when I did sign language, which only fueled my excitement to learn more.
Yeah, where we going?, Andrew held my hand as we walked to my car and signed with his other one. As I was about to put Andrew in the backseat, I noticed Sydney moved to the back and was smiling at me and pointed to the front seat. I huffed, then went to the other side of the car and let Andrew in the passenger side.
I can't tell you, It's a surprise, I signed to him.
I love surprises, Andrew clapped his hands, giggling.
"Tell him, I said Hi", Sydney all but yelled from the backseat.
Sydney says hi
Andrew turned around in the backseat and waved at her, smiling. And then we were off to our first stop, Gramercy Tavern, a very expensive restaurant for two special people.
The ride was filled with music for Sydney, and her singing loudly along to it. Andrew playing games on my phone, that I downloaded specifically for him. And me, with a very cheesy smile on my face because damn, could I get used to this. My best friend and my soon to be boyfriend, chilling in the car with me, with no worries.
I pulled my car into the restaurant's parking lot and turned off the engine. I got out and opened Andrew's door for him, then Sydney's.
"Thanks"
Thanks, Andrew and Sydney answered at the same time, we all giggled.
Andrew put my phone in my back pocket making me tense a little, because damn, and then he grabbed my hand and we headed for the restaurant. I reserved a private table for us in a back room to give us a little more privacy.
"So how's it going with Amanda?", I ask Sydney as I hold the door open for everyone and a old couple that was coming in also.
"Amazing", she responds as I tell the man our reservation. The restaurant has a cozy feeling with nice oak wood furniture and chairs and a nice bar with a variety of wine behind it. The decor was filled with rustic and classic paintings framed nicely. The lighting also was very natural, giving it a comfortable feeling.
I know Andrew feels lost when we walk in, because his grip tightens on my arm and he hides behind my back a little. I take his hand in mine and rub my thumb over his, smiling down at him, assuring him with no words.
"Have a nice lunch Mr. Sawyer", the host says as he leaves us at our table.
"Thank you", I pull out Andrew's and Sydney's chairs then seated myself. Andrew was to the side of the four sided table and Sydney was in front of me.
"It's been absolutely fantastic, we might have held hands yesterday", Sydney blushes and looks down.
I filled in for Andrew, not wanting him to be lost. Sydney has a crush on a girl.
Andrew giggled covering his mouth.
I smirked, "And how was it?"
"Obviously it was fantastic. I'm thinking about asking her to be my girlfriend", Sydney blushed.
"Where's the usual shy Sydney. I'm proud of you, making the first move", I smiled.
Andrew was looking around then back at me, Fancy, he put his hands in front of his chest signing.
Only the best for you, I smiled back. I noticed Andrew was wearing only the lady bug bracelet today.
The waiter came around with a water pitcher, "My name's Max and I'll be your waiter for today, may I start you off with some wine?"
I've been to this restaurant many of times and I know they have the best of wine,"Yes, red wine for me".
"Same for me", Sydney added in.
What would you like to drink, baby?
Andrew pondered for a little before signing lemonade.
"Lemonade for him", I nodded, before the waiter left.
Soon we ordered some food, with Andrew not wanting to order anything once he saw the prices, but I assured him it was okay and agreed he could treat me next time.
Sydney got up to use the restroom halfway through lunch, then Andrew tapped me on the shoulder after she left.
Yes, baby
Andrew blushed and dug in his pocket, I made you something. It's not the best.
I moved my fingers, having trouble with some words, I'm sure I'll love it. I smiled, feeling warmth spread through my stomach just at the thought of Andrew making me something.
Andrew pulled out a bracelet. A very beautiful bracelet, that looked like it was made from love and hard work. It was made with a thick brown, rope like string, and a couple of black and blue jewel like beads, placed at the end and tied in place.
It was very rustic and I couldn't have loved it more.
I love It! Thank you Andrew, so much. I took Andrew's hand in mine and kissed the back of it multiple times, showing him I appreciated his work.
Andrew giggled, then held his hand out, for mine. I put my hand in his delicate soft one, brown and white combining beautifully together, and let him slip on the most precious thing anyone has ever given me. He looked into my eyes after it was on and kissed the palm of my hand, his chocolate brown eyes saying more than any words ever could.
I love it, so much, I signed looking into Andrew's eyes with the same intensity, feeling like we were the only ones in the room. God couldn't tell you how much I wanted to kiss the boy in front of me right now; his plump lips just pulling me in. Sydney's chair scraping took me out of my trance, I coughed and scooted my seat in, but held Andrew's hand tightly under the table as we finished eating lunch. And I definitely didn't miss the look Sydney shot my way.
And maybe I snuck secret glances at Andrew through out lunch.
And maybe if we both caught each other sneaking glances, we giggled to ourselves.
And maybe I helped Andrew roll his ball down the lane, even though me and Andrew both knew he could bowl perfectly fine.
But nobody has to know our little secret.
