Chapter Eleven- A Normal Day
It had been a while since I last talked to Mila and Henry. I thought about them a lot and realized they were my only friends. I got up and got ready for work like another day. I walked into the kitchen, and Bradley was standing in the kitchen, making our lunches. "Hello," I said. "You don't have to make us lunch," I said. "It's not a big deal," He said. "Here's your lunch," He said, handing me my lunch. "Thank you," I smiled. He hugged me before I walked away.
"Where are you going?" He asked. "To work," Replied, confused. "I made you breakfast and a cup of coffee." He said, putting a cup of coffee and a plate of food on the table. "Bradley, thank you," I said, walking toward him. I sat down to eat the food. He sat across from me. "I'll have to eat fast," I told him.
After I was done eating, I went to work. During my shift, I kept thinking about Mila and Henry and how much I missed them. I sent Mila a quick text and apologized for everything. About an hour later, she replied and said she would be coming over tonight by herself.
A few later, my shift was over. I went home, and I smelled nothing. No food cooking. I was okay with that. I felt bad. Bradley was making the food. "No food tonight? Don't worry. I'll make dinner," I said. "No, there's no need. We're going out tonight." He said.
"Oh, okay. Mila's coming over." I said. Bradley's facial expression changed. He looked angry. "Is there something wrong? I haven't seen them in a while," I said. His face changed back to normal.
"Oh, nothing is wrong. Does that mean we aren't going out?" He asked. "We can still go out. She can leave when we leave." I explained. "Okay, I'm going to shower," I told him. I got in the shower and heard someone knock on the door. I heard Bradley open the door and then Mila's voice. I heard them talking, then the door shut. I hurried up in the shower to see Mila before we left.
I showed up and walked into the living room with only a towel on. I saw Bradley and Mila sitting on the couch, talking. Mila was sitting on the loveseat, and Bradley was sitting on the sofa. "Hey, how are you, girl!" She said, walking up to me. She gave me a big hug, the biggest hug in a while.
"I'm good," I replied. "Bradley and I are going out. He didn't tell me until later on. We can hang out tomorrow." I explained. "Can I leave when y'all leave?" She asked. "Yeah," I replied. She turned her head and smiled at Bradley, then followed me to the bedroom. I got dressed and sat at the makeup table to get ready. Mila sat on the bed talking to me. We talked about anything, Henry, Bradley, and life. We talked for about 30 minutes, and then I got dressed. After we got ready, Mila went home.
We left our apartment and went driving around to see where we wanted to eat. We pulled up to this busy restaurant. We sat in the parking lot, staring at the building. Bradley seemed nervous and uncomfortable. He kept looking at his hands and running his hands through his hair.
"What's wrong? Do you not want to be here?" I asked. "Yeah, let's leave. I don't being in crowded places because of my anxiety." He said. "Okay, we can leave," I replied. We went to a non-busy buffet. We ate and enjoyed ourselves. We talked about basically everything. After a long day, we finally went home.
