Continuing from previous part:-

Mahi's pov :

After sunil's incident i get back to my regular chores when rani come to me and ask  'is it true sunil misbehaved with you in morning?'

I guess she is here to fight with me regarding him as they both are together and like a typical girlfriend she wanna blame everything on me . I look at her face to see any visible anger on it but found none in fact she look more calm then usual.

'Yes we had a small argument but—'

'But now it's all okay right gosh that son of a ***** he can't even control his raging harmons' she cuts me off and say .

To say I'm shocked listening her is an understatement like how can she be so chill knowing about her boyfriend's thoughts regarding me !

Seeing my reaction she say 'don't be so shocked he is a guy so it's obvious he misinterpret your frankness as love it happens all the time but when guys know the truth their pee-sized ego got hurt' she pass a cold smirk and sat down on chair taking a bite of apple placed in fruit basket .

'So he told you about his feelings regarding me ?' I question her still can't comprehend how she is so cool about her "boyfriend's" thoughts about me like normally any girl be super mad in these situation but she just behaving so unpredictable is she really his girlfriend!

She let out a sarcastic laugh and say 'oh honey no guy and I repeat no guy in their right mind tell a girl about his fantasies regarding other girls I figure it out by the way he trying to be extra sweet in front of you which clearly is an act to woo you' .

Oh so all those being a sweet sensible guy was drama .

'But what about you guys i saw both of you in storeroom won't you feel cheated knowing his intentions for me ?'  I ask her .

'That was just workplace romance neither of us looking for serious relationship with each other and besides if i want a serious relationship i won't look for a poor guy cause love won't fill your stomach one needs cash to live life fully'  she answered clearing that she is materialistic as hell .

Now if I think about it whatever happened in morning is an eye-opener for me people are not like the way they pretend ..

Evening:-

Now that all four family members come back in mansion it's time for to return back to my own home hopefully tonight i get a proper sleep without having to worry about baba and his antics .
I come out of mansion towards the main gate when raghu kaka(sunil's father) came towards me and ask 'mahi beta did sunil misbehaved with you this morning ?'

Gosh things spread like fire in this mansion everyone knows every little detail about my our argument. I nodded my head unable to say anything cause i don't want to tell him that his son is a d*ck which surely going to upset him and unlike sunil kaka has been working here for 25 years with honesty and pride so much so that even masters appreciates him many times .

He looks down in shame and feel very bad but what he say next left me puzzled and slight angry 'oh that's why Adhvait sir dismissed him from work i can't believe he misbehaved with women and that to you who he grew up with where i failed in his upbringing?'

'Adhvait fired him ? But I—-I never complained about sunil to him than how can he fired him from here' i ask kaka .

Kaka disappointingly takes a long breath and say 'maybe he misbehaved with Adhvait sir also i can't say anything about him now as he failed me in masters eyes mahi beta i know it won't make much of a difference but on sunil's behalf i want to apologise to you for whatever he said' .

I try to explain kaka that he doesn't need to apologise for sunil but he apologise anyway leaving for his quarter(masters provided him servant's quarter in which he resides with his family) .

I take back my steps towards mansion to ask Adhvait some questions.

In mansion:-

Knocking on his room door i get the reply 'come in'  i open his room door only to quickly regret it cause he standing shirtless gulping water from bottle his body covered in sweat indicating he just returned from his workout session god this is third time in month I'm seeing him shirtless why just why can't he put on some shirt in his room too he has so many t-shirts, shirts but no .

He look confused seeing me here but before he could ask me anything i enter in his room shutting the door ask him 'why you fired sunil from job ?'

Upon hearing my question his expression change to his usual stone face one as if he was expecting me to ask him something else he threw his water bottle on bed and say while wiping off his sweat  'because his behaviour is not right' .

'Oh so you were listening to our argument this morning and because of your hate for him you take away him job tell me from how long you were stalking me?'  anger filled my head as whatever sunil and that prithvi said kept ringing in my mind .

'Stalking you !  Let me remind you that this is not a public park where I'm stalking you this is my house and as an owner I have all the rights to know what my servants doing here in work hours I don't care what relation you both maintain after work hours but whenever you both working here you should focus on your duty and by the way he was bad mouthing you is not appropriate for my house environment what if he behaves rude with Pari tomorrow I won't tolerate this kind of behaviour in my house that's why i fired him'  Adhvait reply and i lower my gaze like of course it's their house and he have all the rights to appoint anyone or terminate anyone .

Seriously why the heck i fell in those idiots saying Adhvait is as practical as any normal employer should he doesn't have any feelings for me with this relief i nodded and turn to go out when he ask  'so you just come in my room to ask about him!'

'Umm well i thought you terminated him because of me after talking to ragu kaka i was feeling guilty but now I'm relieved' I told him honestly.

'And why would you think like that ?' he question and for a moment i thought to tell him about what prithvi told me but i don't know in which manner he take it .

'Forget about it sorry for disturbing you at this time' i say and left his room

On my way i heard Simran mam telling someone over phone 'don't worry I'll arrange money you just give me my package' not wanting her to find me here so i carefully take my leave from here .

Upon reaching home I found sonali with maa what is she doing here?

Maa look at me with small smile and say 'mahi beta sonali told me about your phone you forgot it at her house last time right'

Oh so she is here to return my phone i look at sonali who pass a nervous smile to me not want to create scene i take her out of house giving maa some excuse

'Sonali you lied about your brother's engagement and took to some red light area how—'  but before i continue she say  'Mahi I'm really sorry your father told me about your family loan and said you guys needed money urgently too so i thought—-'

What seriously ! is she even in her senses 'so you thought i too want to make money by doing those kind of stuff ! sonali what you are doing is wrong it's pros****tion and i think that guy you were introducing me last night is trapping you in it'  I told her .

'No it's not that agh look i like to go out with rich guys you like a fling type i date them for sometime and in exchange i got expensive stuffs there is no forcing no harm in it i do it with my full consent after all i know i won't end up with rich husband with my poor background so till marriage i want to have all things i couldn't afford'  she say and that's the dumbest sh*t i ever heard .

'Fine but i don't want anything like that in my life so why you thought it's good to drag me in this !'  i ask her and what she said i wasn't expecting.

She look around as if checking no one is listening and say 'but your father said you want to do these stuff too actually he saw me with one of my flings and confronted me about it i thought he would tell all that to my father who joins him for drinks sometimes so i gave him some money to keep his mouth shut and he asked me to help you so that you can find a rich that's why I take you with me but now i understood what your father said about you was a lie'.

Her revelation shook me how can a father asked something so cheap for his daughter earlier i used to think that baba is not really a bad guy it's just alcohol addiction made him like this but i was so wrong he is indeed a bad man .

After that sonali left requesting me to not tell anyone about her work later i fought with baba but as usual he has no effect of it

Manu console me and advise to not take tension about him as he is working hard to take us away from him but i know it's way too difficult for him .

In coming days i ignore Adhvait completely not because I'm afraid of him but Prithvi again asked me about my final decision and I said No
I might need money but I won't do such fake love drama with Adhvait. All of these thoughts making me uncomfortable so I decided to ignore him , on the other hand rani become close to simran mam as now sunil isn't in house rani devote her spare time giving massage to simran mam and in return she praise rani sometimes pari cleared her 2nd year in college and now masters considering her to go to abroad for masters such luck she has and Adhvait seems busy in his father's business it's good that way for me at least...

Three days later :-

I come in mansion and found police here talking with balwant sir .

What police doing here ?

Two lady constables come towards me and ask 'are mahi singh ?'

' Yeah' i say and comes rani's voice

'Sir she did it she steal the money'

What ??

Constables held my hands asking me where the money is and I'm standing all confused there . What money they are talking about?

'What money i didn't do anything' I say in my defence.

Balwant sir came to me and ask 'look Mahi you were caught in cctv recording coming out of my room after that 7 lakhs were not be found in my safe/locker tell me where you hide money' .

Are they out of their mind i would never steal

'Sir I didn't steal any money I'm working here from 15 years you must be mistaken sir' i told him but he seems to be convinced that i steal his money.

'Mahi give money back and i won't put charges on you' balwant sir warns.

'I have no money' I told him and he nods to inspector lady constable is about to slap me just then Adhvait come .

He stopped them and take my side saying 'dad that day i asked Mahi to go to your room and take that packages out that money is with me see'  he show balwant sir some white packages but why he telling lie to his father we never interacted with each other last week and these packages I'm seeing for first time why he taking blame on himself for the thing even I didn't do?

I was about to say the truth but he signalled me to keep quiet so with no other option left stayed silent.

Balwant talked with and they left not have energy to work for a day after the accusations i decided to go back home as I was shivering too balwant said sorry to me but it won't matter now ..

Next day I come in mansion to confront rani like how can she put false accusations on me of stealing but i found out Adhvait fired her from here strange .

I found him on trace he was standing there leaning on railing i stand beside him asking my questions 'why you lied to balwant sir about that packages ?'

He stop smoking and say 'because i know who took that money' .

'Really who ?' i ask as curiosity increasing in me .

'Someone who dad doesn't need to know about' he answer .

'Wait so does that mean rani steal that money that's why you threw her out of here ?' and she blamed me afterwards for her crime .

'She took it but not for herself she—-hmmm—- she stole it for mom' his answer left me shocked.

Seriously rani stole that money for simran mam but why aren't simran already owner of this house why she has to ask rani to steal money from her own husband!

'Don't ask about it please right now I'm not in position to answer about it' Adhvait say and for the first time i see him little bit vulnerable as if he let his guards down in front of me .

'But why saved me i mean balwant sir was convinced i stole that money they would've arrested me if you didn't come there—-'

'I never let that happen' he said firmly.

'Why so ?' I ask but my heart is racing about his answer.

He pass a small smile and say 'don't you know the answer' .

My cheeks start to heat as i feel sudden blood rush in it because of shyness i bite my lower lip to hide my feelings but he say 'don't it or else'

'Or else what' i ask even though i felt like there is no energy left in me to talk .

'Or else we end up kissing and i think you don't want that to happen right' he say in his husky voice and I'm too stunned to utter anything.

Our proximity giving me butterflies in belly as if i return in the time when i used to have a huge crush on him or is it still there in my heart !

My eyes held his eyes as if challenging him to take a step forward my body reacting of it's own and my mind is in haze just not thinking straight what if we end up actually kissing ?

His breath got slightly heavy and he threw the cigarette in his hand away saying 'f*** i can't pretend it anymore' and lock his lips to mine .

I froze on my spot unable to move feeling his soft lips on mine this feeling is—-is unreal yet magical as if it bond to happen not feeling me respond he is about to tore away from me but i don't what got in me that i held on his shoulder kissing him back he encircled my waist in his arms

The kiss turn more intense and soon i feel rain start to pour over us ....
