Peter's POV

" Pan. You have every right to be mad at me, but I didn't know. I'm sorry. " , the mutt said sincerely.

" Sorry isn't going to cut it! I gave you something to do and you gave it to a villian without even asking me first! " , I snapped.

I sent Petra and Rae away so I could have a conversation with Scott.

Well more like scold and threaten him.

" I was stressed out, Pan. Victor offered to help me. I don't have magic so it was hard to get anything done in time, I mean Victor had magifc so I took his offer. " , Scott tried to explain.

" No excuses, Scott. I bet if you picked Isaac to be the new Alpha then you wouldn't expect him to just hand the position to a werewolf hunter now, would you? " , I asked.

" No. " , he murmured.

I grabbed his collar and looked deep into his worried brown eyes.

" I swear if I found out that Victor hurt any of those lost boys then I will slowly make you suffer. " , I whispered harshly into his ear.

" He already hurt Tootles and Parker. " , Scott whispered quietly.

I wrapped my hands around Scott's neck tightly, but not tight enough to choke him.

" Do you really want to be dead? " , I asked.

" No thanks. " , he panicked.

" And tell me a good reason why I should let you live. " , I gritted my teeth. " Other than the fact that you have a pack and a mom back at home and are dating my sister. "

" Victor offered me to make a deal with him. He said that I could have Petra all to myself and take her back to Beacon Hills with me rather than visit this island if I helped him kill you. He wanted me to betray you. " , Scott replied breathing heavily. " I declined his deal because I wouldn't do that behind your back. My loyalty is to you, Pan. Not Victor. "

A million thoughts swirled in my head. To think that the werewolf, that I sorta didn't like very much, refused to go behind my back and stay loyal to me despite my bitterness towards him sometimes. I was surprised to know that he stayed loyal to me.

I gently remove my hands from his neck allowing Scott to breathe normally. He rubbed around his neck before looking at me nervously.

He cared for me.

He stayed loyal to me.

He put up my bitterness towards him.

He helped me in sticky situations.

He really is the true Alpha.

" I know we have our differences, Pan. But I feel like for once we need to work together to stop Victor. I don't want Petra to lose a brother. I don't want Rae to lose her boyfriend. I don't want the lost boys to lose a leader. I don't want Neverland to lose its ruler. I don't want to lose a friend. " , Scott sighed.

I glanced at him before crossing my arms. He took that as a response to continue.

" I was wrong. You are a great leader, Pan. You show leadership skills that nobody else could have. I guess I was concerned about how you work things around here, but now I understand because it's not to hurt anyone, but make sure your lost boys can defend themselves. You take really good care of Neverland because you care about your home. I was wrong to judge you and I apologize for hurting your feelings. " , Scott said.

I titled my head slightly at his response.

" I understand now that your job isn't easy and I don't know how you managed to balance everything out, but you are a genius at it. You are one of the best leaders that I know. You were born to become a leader, on the other hand, I had to learn how to be a leader. " , Scott stated.

I just hummed as a response before I paced around my room. My hands behind my back as I got lost in my thoughts.

Scott stayed quiet and watched me pace back and forth before titling his head.

" So all I get is a hum as a response after explaining all of that to you? " , Scott asked as he crossed his arms.

" I'm thinking. " , I gritted my teeth.

" Thinking about what? " , Scott asked.

" It isn't everyday that I get appreciation from someone so I'm trying to think of how to reply to that. " , I muttered.

Scott chuckled before shaking his head.

" Just a thank you would do, Pan. This really isn't a confession session. I just felt like I needed to apologize and appreciate what you do for everyone. I know you are a villian, but you have a good heart. " , Scott chuckled before smiling slightly.

" Thanks? " , I said but it came out more as a question.

" That will do. " , Scott patted my shoulder.

" Don't touch me. " , I muttered after he removed his hand from my shoulder.

Scott put his hands up as he was surrendering to me. I rolled my eyes before grabbing his arms and placing them down before patting his shoulder.

" Don't tell Petra that I'm starting to like you. " , I mumbled.

" Really? You acually enjoy my company? " , Scott asked happily.

" Yeah. I guess having a werewolf as a friend won't be that bad. " , I shrugged.

" Finally! After all this time, I finally get your approval and friendship! " , Scott chuckled
