Chapter 13: My Moon

Words left me. My brain stuttered, and every part of me paused while my thoughts caught up to reality. "Who are they? Why are they here? What is with these masks?" My mind raced for the answers, but I caught a glimpse of a symbol that most people feared. My eyes widen in realization.

"What business does my father have with the Crimson Clan?"

Hoseok removed his mask, running up to me. "Which one of you idiots shot my si- shot her?" he asked furiously.

Jimin followed behind him, ripping a piece of his shirt and wrapping it around my wound. I winced as he tied his blazer across my good shoulder and around my back, creating a cast to keep my arm alleviated. He looked at me with sorrowful eyes, like the pain I felt was killing him.

"It's okay little one. You will survive, the bullet isn't that deep, but it could get infected if not treated soon."

I jumped onto the counter. "I've been in worst situations." The Originals made sure I was prepared for anything. But unfortunately, most people die from the shock of the unexpected attack.

Hoseok looked at me, concerned. "What do you mean you've been in worse situations? That doesn't denote the fact that you're hurt now." He said a bit angrily.

I gave him a confused looked. "Relax, Hoseok, I was just saying I am a tough girl, so I won't cry over a bullet wound. So why are you getting angry about it anyway?"

"And that's what I am angry about. What the hell happened to you for you think that getting shot is at the bottom of your worst pain list and brush it off as nothing."

"Life happened."

Jimin patted his back. "Take a walk." He suggested.

Hoseok glanced at me like I was something he never wanted to lose. "Take a walk. I will stay here with her. I promise nothing else will happen to her while I am here." Hoseok nodded his head.

"Why is he being so possessive over me?" I wondered.

I watched him walk out the backdoor. "Did I say something wrong?"

Jimin shook his head. "No, he just cares about you a lot, that's all." I shrugged it off, not wanting to get into it any further.

The bunny boy leaned against the counter, gasping for air. "Umm, hello, the clan's youngest member is dying eternally."

One of the guys who has been silently observing, "Take deep breaths, Ace, you'll live." He averted his attention to me. "Are you okay, Y/N?"

Ace was confused. "How do you know her?"

He removed his owl mask "Funny meeting you under these circumstances."

"No way, you are Kim Namjoon, the CEO and face of K-Tech Corporation."

"Last time I checked." He pointed to the guy I was just fighting. "The one you prefer to as bunny boy is Jeon Jungkook."

I knew he looked familiar. He is occasionally seen attending business parties. However, no one knows about his involvement with the Kim's.

Namjoon pointed at two people behind him. "Those are my brothers Kim Seokjin, and my idiot younger brother Kim Taehyung, the one who shot you."

I jumped down from the counter and stood in front of him. "So, you are the one that shot me, huh?"

"Yes, but I was only protecting my family." He protested.

I shook my head. "That's understandable, commendable even, but I have this nasty habit of getting even, so I would like to apologize in advance."

"For what," He fell to the ground with a loud groan after I uppercut him with my good arm.

Suddenly someone started to laugh and clap his hands hysterically. "You never cease to amaze me, Y/N." He removed his mask and placed it over his heart respectfully. "Good evening, Ms. Jung Y/N."

"Yoongi?" Though I am shocked to see the man I have admired for years, the man I used as an inspirational muse, the man I have been working under for the past few weeks. Is the man behind the mask of the most powerful clan. How fitting.

"The moment we met at your graduation; I knew you were someone special. From your admiring speech to how you single-handedly took out those scums last night."

"Wait, you were there?"

He smiled, looking deeply into my eyes. "We were in the neighborhood on business and were drawn by the gunfire. I must say your performance last night was extravagant."

Jungkook stood upright. "Boss, you knew it could have possibly been that psycho girl from last night, and yet you still sent me to retrieve her."

Yoongi nodded his head with a slight chuckle. "Yes, I wanted to be entertained, so I did."

Jungkook's mouth gaped open "So fuck my life is basically what you are saying? Cause that's what it sounds like. And you, my so call brothers, just watched as I got my ass handed to me by that psycho girl."

"Tsk tsk, don't talk shit, bunny boy. Just be grateful they got here in time." I teased.

"What did you say?" Jungkook started to walk towards her.

Yoongi placed his hand on his shoulder. "Jungkook enough, I can't bear to see you get your ass kicked for the second time. Well, I can, but we have other matters to tend to. Besides, you should take that former ass-whooping as a form of discipline. Your arrogance and sassiness have been out of hand lately. So, I figured it was time for your ego to take a pounding and bring you back to earth. Just be glad I didn't let her completely strip you of your pride."

He laughed in disbelief at what he heard. "DISCIPLINE! YOU CALL THAT DISCIPLINE I NEARLY DIED?"

Yoongi glared at him. "It seems my form of discipline didn't work because now you dare to yell not only at your boss but an older brother. You know there is a hierarchy in this family, and you know what I expect from the people under me. You have struck out with me today; you will spend the next three months cleaning the training facility alone as punishment. If I hear any complaints, I will bump it up by an additional three months. Do I make myself clear?"

Jungkook looked down to the ground with a pout "Yes, boss. It sucks being the youngest." He murmured.

"Was that a complaint?" Yoongi asked with a stern tone.

"Absolutely not, sir; I am grateful for the punishment you saw fit to give me." He said in a sarcastic high-pitched voice.

Seokjin slapped the back of his head. "Jungkook, have you not learned your lesson, or do you want me to be the one to punish you next."

I laughed at the scene playing before me. "Aww, it's fine. At least he knows I'm a psycho. Soooo, what did we learn, your highness?"

He rolled his eyes. "You think you are so clever, don't you? You must really have a death wish?"

I gasped. "Think? No, I know I am very clever, and I don't have a death wish, but I have a list of people I wish were dead. Do you want to be added to it? Careful with your response; my wishes do tend to come true."

"Don't be cocky. You only won because I was caught off guard." He huffed.

I rolled my eyes in amusement. "Whatever helps you sleep at night, cupcake. Can someone get the little baby his baba? I think it's passed his bedtime?"

The others pressed their lips together to refrain from laughing.

"Don't. You. Guys. Dare. Laugh. At. That," he said, emphasizing every word. Then he pointed his finger at me and yelled, "CUPCAKE? LITTLE BABY? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I COULD DO TO YOU?"

I teased him, "Quick, get the little guy his sippy cup."

Taehyung hunched over, laughing, "I really like your sense of humor, princess." He said, wiping the tears that escaped his eyes from laughing so much.

Jungkook snickered. "Princess, more like a devil. We just going to ignore the fact that she tried to kill me not even five minutes ago."

Namjoon gave him a blank look. "Yes, yes, we will ignore it, and do you know why? Because your arrogance put you in that situation. Boss told you to bring her to him, not get into a fight with her. You should apologize to her."

He glared at me, "Over my dead body."

I smiled cheekily. "That can be arranged, cupcake."

"SHE DEVIL."

"BUNNY BOY!"

Seokjin rubbed his temples. "Enough! I swear from the outside, looking in, anyone could seriously mistake you two for siblings."

"Unless they become lovers." Taehyung teased.
