*Chapter Six*
"You've never had tequila before?" Sage asks, grabbing Finn's wrist. He feels the urge to pull away from her but fights against it.
"I've had a lot of different drinks," Finn admits with a shrug. "Couldn't tell you the names on any of them," Sage smirks, pouring salt onto his wrist. He watches as she licks the salt off of her own wrist and shoots the shot of tequila. Finn mimics her. "Happy now?" Sage continues to smirk and hands him a lime for him to suck. "I'm truly awed by the evolution of mankind,"
"Hey, Sage," A man greets in passing. Finn instantly scowls towards him. Sage smirks, returning his greeting. The young vampire nods towards Finn before scurrying away.
"Know him?" Finn asks, not bothering to hide the jealous tone. Sage gives him a smirk leaning over the table. She found the possessive look on his face sexy.
"I turned him," Sage says with a simple shrug. Finn looks at her for a moment finding it unsettling that she would just turn someone into a vampire.
"You turned him? Why?" Finn asks, tilting his head.
"Because I'm in enemy territory. When your brother and sister called, I thought I might need a little backup. You can't trust anyone here," Sage tells him. "Two more tequilas?" Sage orders.
"Yeah, cool, I'll let your waitress know," The guy says, walking away. Once he left, the two sat in uncomfortable silence.
"What's wrong?" Sage snapped. "Look, you left me. I had to do what I had to to survive. You don't get to judge me," Sage growled.
"You think I wanted to leave you?" Finn asks, glaring at her. "You think laying in a box with a dagger in my chest for most of the last millennium is my idea of fun?" He snarls. "I had every intention of spending the rest of my life with you when I turned you; I love you, Sage. Being separated from you is the worst thing that's happened to me," Sage's expression slowly softens. "Vampirism is a curse, Sage. You shouldn't be forcing humans to turn into vampires for your pleasure,"
"I never forced anybody," Sage tells him. "Turning Troy was for protection, not pleasure," She insists, but Finn scoffs.
"Please, turning Troy was foolish. What's a baby vampire going to do against my siblings?" Finn wonders. "He won't be able to protect you, you know that. So, why else would you turn him if not for your own pleasure?" He growls. "How many people have you turned?"
"I don't know," Sage answers honestly. "A lot. Stop judging me, Finn, you turned me,"
"My passion overtook my morals," Finn tells her.
"My passions overtake my morals on a daily basis. It's called living life to the fullest," Sage tells him.
"Killing people, taking their life away for the sake of living life to the fullest isn't something I can condone," Finn warns her. Sage slowly leans back in her seat.
"You're going to have to," Sage tells him. "I've lived my life like this for the last 900 years because it's what I had to do," Finn rolls his eyes.
"You don't have to kill people, you don't have to turn them," Finn tells her. "There's a choice; there's always a choice."
"Well, then I choose to live my life the way I want," Sage says sternly. "If you can't accept that, then you can't accept me," Fin clenches his jaw while staring at her. "I love you, Finn, but I've lived my life this long without you," Finn's jaw loosens as her words sink in. Sage sighs and leans across the table once more. "I'm not asking you to forsake your morals. I'm just asking you to accept me for who I am. You can live the rest of your life without killing a single human. You can live without turning anybody else but don't ask me to do the same," She reaches for his hand and holds it within hers. "You don't have to condone my actions; just look the other way. I want to make this work, Finn. I want you."
"Here's your tequila," The waitress says, setting the shots down. Sage withdraws from Finn and smiles at the human.
"Thank you," Sage grabs the glasses and pushes one towards Finn. "To living life to the fullest," She says, holding her shot up. Finn cradles the shot in his hand while staring into her eyes. He knew the hidden words behind her statement. She was giving him the chance to back out or the chance to try and make their relationship work.
For a split second, his mind goes to Caroline. His mind goes to the night they first met and how beautiful she looked in her dress. Then his mind switches to the dreams. He almost smiles at the thought of her lying in bed, cuddled into him. That's all they are, though, dreams.
Sage is here, now. Sage is real; she's reality. Caroline is a dream he could never have. Finn couldn't compete with Klaus. He knew Caroline deserved so much more than what he could offer.
"To living life," Finn decides, lifting his glass. Sage smiles widely as the two of them drink. The effects of the vervain are instantaneous. They both lurch forward, coughing loudly.
"What the hell?" Sage gasps.
"Vervain," Finn growls. His eyes dart around the bar until he finds Stefan. The Salvatore smirks before ducking outside. Without hesitation, Finn stands and follows after him. Sage quickly trails behind Finn.
The moment Finn steps out of the Grill, Stefan grabs him. However, Sage is quick to speed forward and rip Stefan off. She throws Stefan into the alley, causing him to drop the stake. Sage points it out, and Finn quickly goes over it.
He bends down and picks up the stake as the back door to the Grill bursts open. His head snaps towards Elena and her friend, Matt. Before he could react, Elena is shooting an arrow into Finn's abdomen. Finn groans out in pain as Sage screams in fear.
Matt jumps forward and takes the stake from Finn. Before Matt could stab him, before Finn could defend himself, Matt is shoved away. A flash of blond hair is all Finn sees before he's dragged away from the scene. Neither of them stops until they're deep within the woods.
Finn growls, falling to his knees, forcing his savior to stop as well. He grips the edge of the wooden stake and rips it out. Another groan leaves his lips before he's sighing in relief.
"Let me see," Caroline whispers, kneeling in front of him. Finn's gaze lifts towards her. He doesn't push her away as she lifts his shirt enough to see his healing skin.
"I'm alright," Finn reassures her. Caroline's blue-green eyes flicker towards him. "You stopped them, why?" Finn asks.
"You don't deserve to die," Caroline whispers, shaking her head. "You deserve a chance to live your own life,"
"That's not why," Finn shakes his head. Caroline looks taken back. Before he can help himself, he's lifting his hand to cup the side of her face. Instinctively, she leans into his touch. "Tell me why you stopped them," He demanded, wondering if he truly felt as desperate as he sounded.
"Finn!" Sage shouts, running around the forest, trying to find him. Caroline looks at him for a moment longer before disappearing. Finn sighs, slowly lowering his hand. "Finn!" Sage shouts again. Sighing, Finn stands and follows her voice. "Thank God," She whispers, racing into his arms.
"I'm alright, love," Finn promises. "I'm alright,"
"I thought I lost you," Sage whimpers.
"I'm still here," Finn promises, kissing the top of her head. "Come on, let's go home," Finn suggests leading her back to the mansion.
"What happened to you?" Rebekah asks as Finn and Sage enter the home.
"Stefan Salvatore just tried to kill me," Finn tells her.
"What?" Rebekah growls.
"Hope you're little witch unlinked us; had they gotten lucky, we all would be dead," Finn tells her.
"Don't fret, brother, we're unlinked," Klaus smirks, coming into view with one of the Bennett witches.
"What a relief," Finn says emotionlessly. "Now, if you'll excuse us," Finn leads Sage up to his room.
*Mature*
The moment the door to his bedroom is shut, Sage is pressing him against it. Finn moans as Sage kisses him passionately, bending slightly to wrap his hands under her thighs. She jumps, wrapping her legs around his waist.
He turns them around and presses her against the wall. She smirks, loudly moaning as he grinds into her core. Their lips break, and he kisses down her neck. Sage smiles, pressing her head against the wall, her eyes closed as she enjoys the feeling of his body against hers.
His teeth leave marks along her neck, claiming her as his. Her nails claw at his clothed back until his shirt is discarded on the floor. He speeds her to the bed, ripping her shirt and bra off of her body. Sage growls, flipping them over, forcing him to lay on his back, allowing her to rid him of the rest of his clothes.
He sits up and wraps his hand around the back of her neck. She presses her lips against his deeply while straddling his waist grinding against him. Sage disconnects their lips to kiss his neck. She pushes his back against the bed once more before vigorously sinking her teeth into his skin.
Finn moans as she drinks from him. His eyes roll back, and he pushes his throat against her mouth. Her grip on him tightens as her hips begin to rock against him again.
When she pulls away, he flips them over. He hovers over her body, taking a moment to stare into her eyes. She smiles, licking her lips, causing his eyes to darken with lust. Sage smirks, bringing his lips back to hers while slipping out of her pants and underwear. Finn rocks his hips against hers. Sage moans as his dick grinds against her clit. He doesn't slide into her; he continuously teases her, knowing what she liked.
"Finn," She whispers in his ear. "I want you... Please," She whimpers. He smirks, kissing every inch of skin he could.
"You're so beautiful," He whispers to her. "God, I've missed you," He moans before finally sliding into her. She instantly arches her back, releasing a long moan.
"Please, please, fuck me," She begs, grinding her hips into his. Finn smirks, pulling in and out of her at an agonizingly slow pace. Sage growls, flipping them over. She smirks at the look on his face before riding him hard and fast.
"Jesus, Sage," Finn moans, gripping her hips. She drags her fingernails down his chest. His eyes lock with hers. He sits up and pulls her into another kiss. Pulling away from her, he spins them around. She falls onto the bed panting as Finn drills into her.
"Oh... God..." Sage groans, pressing her head into the pillow. Finn continues to thrust harder and harder into her. His pace quickens to a speed Sage could barely comprehend. He pours everything into this. All his build up anger and frustration, every mixed emotion seems to come out at once.
Suddenly, Finn pulls out. Sage whines but quickly shuts up when Finn forces her onto her stomach and re-enters her from behind. Sage practically screams when Finn thrusts into her mercilessly.
"Yes, yes... Oh, God... Yes!" Sage claws at the sheets. Finn reaches forward and grips her hair. He yanks her back until she's pressed against her chest. He pins her body against his.
"You look so beautiful, taking me so well," Finn whispers in her ear. Sage grins, loving every second.
"Oh my God, Finn," Sage whispers. "I'm gonna cum, please, I wanna come," Sage whines.
"Oh, you're gonna cum," Finn whispers in her ear. "You're gonna cum again and again until you've forgotten your name," Sage whines pushing her hips back against his.
"I'm so close, Finn, I'm close," Sage whispers. Finn smirks, using his fingers to rub her clit in figure eights. Within moments Sage is shaking and crying out as she cums around his cock.
"You better be ready for a long night; because I'm not done with you,"
