Part 44 Statement

Dhruv was shocked to see Shashi in front of him. Where was he? How did Arnav get him here? Would he tell Arnav everything? Did Khushi get to know that he kidnapped her father? In a fraction of a second, his mind thought of all the possibilities.

Sudhakar ran to Shashi and hugged him.

"Shashi, what happened to you? Where were you? I thought we lost you. Do you know how I searched for you?"

"Tell them what happened to you, uncle..." Arnav said.

Shashi looked at Dhruv. He rushed to Shashi and kneeled in front of him.

"Uncle, how are you? Where were you? Do you know how worried I was about you?" he asked, glancing at Khushi and Arnav, who gritted their teeth.

"Dhruv loves you so much, Bhai Sab. See, how concerned he was about you." Anjana said and sighed.

"He so wanted to marry your daughter, but she decided in haste. If you were with her, her decision might have been changed..." She added.

"If he was there with his daughter, he would have hit him with his slipper if Dhruv had asked his daughter's hand for marriage," Aman said, making all of them shocked.

"Whaaat? What did you say?" Anjana asked furiously.

"I said he would have hit him with his slipper..." he didn't hesitate.

"What do you think of us? It's my husband who helped him to settle down in India. He would be grateful to us, but no. You are not. If he is grateful, he would not have let people accuse my son," she said, looking at Shashi, who was silently watching.

"He didn't do that, only because he is grateful. I suppose," Aman said.

"What happened, Shashi? Why is Aman accusing Dhruv? Why are you silent?" Sudhakar asked.

Shashi was about to say something,

"That's what I can't understand. I think Uncle Shashi expected me to come for his rescue... as I didn't do that, he is angry with me..."

"But, how could he expect that from you? Would he go somewhere and expect you to rescue? What justification is this?" Anjana asked.

"Could you please stop talking and let him talk?" Khushi said.

"How could I be silent when you guys are accusing my son?"

"Would anyone accuse without a reason? And when did my Dad say he expected Dhruv to rescue him? It's Dhruv who said that... and you are ready to fight with us, going on his words..." Khushi said.

Anjana tried to say something, but Sudhakar stopped her.

"Anjana, keep quiet. Let Shashi talk... he looks weak. I want to know what happened to him."

Anjana stood, looking somewhere.

All of them looked at Shashi. He was supposed to say something, but Dhruv interrupted again.

"Yes, uncle, tell us what happened to you. We are here for you. I will not leave the person who kidnapped you..."

"When did he say he was kidnapped? How did you conclude he would have been kidnapped?" Arnav asked.

Dhruv was stuck. He sensed that he had blabbered something he should not have.

"Didn't you say the other day that Uncle Shashi should have been kidnapped?" he managed.

"Don't you know who kidnapped him?" Arnav asked.

"How do I know? I can't even guess. If I could have guessed it, do you think I would have been without searching for him?" Dhruv asked.

Khushi didn't know why Shashi was silent and watching Dhruv's drama, and Aman looked at Arnav, who was controlling his anger.

"I have never seen a good ACTOR like you, Dhruv..." Shashi finally talked.

"Uncle..." Dhruv was supposed to hold his hand, but Shashi shrugged.

"Don't you dare touch me. I don't know what I will do..." he looked at Sudhakar and said,

"Dhruv is the one who kidnapped me."

Except Arnav, Khushi, NK and Aman, all the others were shocked. Before anyone asked anything,

"Whaaat? What did you say? I kidnapped you? Why would I do that? For what reason? Oh, God! I don't know why he is accusing me of something that I didn't do..."

Shashi looked at Arnav and said,

"Arnav, call the police. I will talk to them instead of this moron. I can't stand his acting. In fact, I don't even like to see his face. Bloody bugger..."

"Uncle... please wait. I think this is some misunderstanding. Let me clear it..."

Shashi saw Arnav standing without making a call because he already did that.

"Don't worry, uncle... the police are on their way..." Aman said, making Dhruv horrified.

"Shashi, what's happening here? Why would Dhruv kidnap you? Why are you accusing him?" Sudhakar asked nervously.

"It's because he wanted to marry me..." Khushi took the lead.

"He wanted to marry you. Everyone knows that. But what's the connectivity of your father's kidnapping?" Anjana asked.

Dhruv tried to say something, but Khushi stopped him.

"If you say a single word, I won't be good for you..." She warned.

"Dhruv, shut up... ok?" Sudhakar chided.

"Dad, they are blaming me for something, and you are letting them talk. Throw them out..."

NK tried to say something, but Arnav gestured for him not to. He didn't want people to know he helped him in treating Shashi because they were not wise enough to understand his stand, but would think Arnav manipulated him.

"ASR, why should we talk? Let the police handle him. They will get to know the truth when we submit the witness to the court." Aman said angrily.

Dhruv was horrified. WITNESS? What witness were they talking about? He was alerted. He couldn't trust Arnav and Aman. They would say anything to get the truth from his mouth. He should not do that at any cost. He supposed.

"Dhruv, what the hell is this? Why are they talking about calling the police?" Sudhakar asked.

"Why are you questioning him? Will you question him if anyone accuses him?" Anjana came for his help.

"Don't question him... don't let anyone question him. Then, he would not have a chance other than answering to the police for his deeds..." Shashi said.

Anjana was supposed to talk again,

"If you had questioned him from the beginning, he would not have been like this today..." he added.

Dhruv was supposed to say again, but a tight slap fell on his cheek from Sudhakar. Anjana, who was shocked, tried to say something, but he raised his hand again.

"Shut up... I said shut up, if you talk again, you will be slapped hard..."

He looked at Shashi,

"Shashi, tell me what happened, please..."

"Dhruv wanted to marry Khushi. He made me misunderstand Arnav that he was in love with Anu..."

"Anu? But she was married to his boyfriend. She is Arnav's friend..."

"I didn't know that. He did the same with Khushi also. He created such a scene and made her believe that Arnav was playing a double game. Khushi and I were blind folded because we didn't know about Dhruv at that time. Khushi was heartbroken because she loved Arnav and vice versa. She could not tolerate it. Dhruv pretended like good and asked for Khushi's hand in marriage. I too wanted the same because I thought Khushi would be happy in your family. I told that to Khushi too. In fact, I forced her to marry Dhruv. But the very next day, I got to know that Anu was Arnav's girlfriend, but a friend. He proved himself and cleared my doubt. But, even before that, Khushi left the house, not wanting to marry Dhruv. The same day, Dhruv came home to get firm confirmation from me. I told him about Khushi's love for Arnav and apologised to Dhruv but he became furious and fought with me like a madman. He forced me to force Khushi into marriage. I denied doing that. He pushed me in anger. I banged my head on the furniture and lost consciousness. I fell into a coma stage..."

If you fell into a coma, how do you know it's me who kidnapped you?" Dhruv asked, and it was expected.

"I don't know, but my servant Ramu saw that..." Shashi said, freezing Dhruv's blood. He almost forgot Ramu.

They saw Ramu getting inside. Dhruv's mind worked

faster to tackle the situation.
