You belong to me

"Moon? My love?" Jungkook's voice shook with concern as he gently tried to bring her back from her distant state.

"Jungkook," Moon murmured, suddenly aware of being on his lap, his arms wrapped tightly around her, refusing to release her. She blinked, attempting to clear her thoughts. "Who are the Kims?"

"Jungkook?" she called again, shaking him lightly. She yelped when he suddenly grabbed her jaw with his large, rough hand. "It's not your concern now, my love," he said, his expression hard and dangerous, but his voice was calm, sending a chill down Moon's spine.

"It... it should be my concern!" she stammered, her teeth gritting in anger and fear. "I was almost killed because of something that the chef said about the Kims! Jungkook, you said I am safe with you, but I was almost dea—"

"No, don't say it," he interrupted, his grip tightening slightly as his eyes flashed with a mix of protectiveness and something darker. She started to thrash, trying to break free from his hold, but he didn't let go. Instead, he pulled her closer, his arms like iron bands around her.

"Let me go, Jungkook!" she cried, but he only held her tighter, his face inches from hers. His eyes bore into hers, a storm of emotions swirling within them.

"You're not going anywhere, Moon," he said, his voice low and possessive. "You're mine. I won't let anyone take you from me."

She struggled harder, but his strength was overwhelming. With a swift movement, he laid down on the bed, pulling her with him. His arms wrapped around her securely, trapping her against his chest.

"I'm too tired," he murmured, his voice of exhaustion. "I've been watching over you all night. You have no idea how much you mean to me, Moon. You're safe here, with me. No one can hurt you now."

His words, meant to comfort, only made her shiver. After a long silence, Moon finally spoke, her voice trembling. "I don't trust you, Jungkook."

His grip on her tightened slightly, and he sighed, a sound filled with both frustration and a twisted kind of affection. "You don't have to trust me, Moon," he replied softly, his breath warm against her ear. "You just have to stay with me. I will protect you, even if you don't understand why."

She tried to pull away again, but his hold was unyielding. "Why are you doing this?" she whispered, tears filling her eyes. "Why won't you let me go?"

"Because you belong to me," he said, his voice dark and possessive. "I can't lose you, Moon. You don't know what it's like, the fear of losing you. I will do anything to keep you safe, even if it means you hate me for it."

"Loose me? That's bullshit! Who the fuck am I that you're so scared of losing me, huh?" Moon barked, glaring at him with fierce eyes. "Do I look like some lost princess to you?"

"You are my love," he whispered, but she didn't hear him.

"What did you say?" she demanded, her eyes blazing.

"I promise, my love. No one will ever hurt you again. You are mine to protect, mine to love, and mine to keep," Jungkook whispered, his voice carrying a possessive edge that both terrified and thrilled Moon. She thrashed against his hold, her frustration and anger bubbling over. "This isn't love, Jungkook! This is madness! You can't keep me like this! I don't even like you!"

"My love is enough for us," he said softly. He leaned in closer, his breath warm against her skin. He inhaled deeply, savoring her scent, and started rubbing his nose against her neck. His actions were gentle, almost tender, but they sent a shiver down her spine.

"There are things you don't understand, Moon," he replied, his tone darkening. "The world I live in... it's not safe for someone like you. The Kims are a threat, and I will do whatever it takes to keep you away from them."

As Moon rested against Jungkook's chest, she felt safe despite her inner worries. His arms held her tightly, giving her comfort and making her feel trapped at the same time.

She closed her eyes, finding comfort in his warmth. His heartbeat beneath her ear reassured her, making her feel protected from the worries that troubled her mind.

Moon woke to the sound of Jungkook's voice echoing through the unfamiliar bedroom. He was yelling at someone, though Moon couldn't discern who. Sitting up in bed, she surveyed her surroundings and realized she wasn't in her own room. Everything was the opposite of what she was used to—dark walls in shades of black and grey, a large mirror on the wall beside the bed, and black silk sheets draped over the bed. This room unmistakably belonged to Jungkook.

She shook her head, trying to clear the fog as she heard Jungkook's booming voice from the living room. The bedroom door was open, allowing his angry words to reach her ears. Moving the sheets aside, she realized she was dressed in a men's silk pajama shirt and shorts—both of which must be Jungkook's. She remembered wearing a crop top, cardigan, and trousers before.

Walking towards the bathroom, she splashed water on her face and looked in the mirror. Her cheek was slightly swollen, and she felt a bandage on the back of her shoulder. After examining herself, she walked out of the bathroom, through his bedroom, and into the hallway towards the living room. Her heartbeat quickened as she wondered if the floor was still bloody.

As she reached the living room, she heard Jungkook speaking to someone. "I don't give a single flying fuck about it! Yeah, I don't!" Jungkook was pacing back and forth, his frustration evident. "Hyung! I'm telling you, we have to go through everyone in the security area. Yes, the whole building. I'm sure."

Walking towards the kitchen, Moon glanced around the room. There was no trace of blood, nothing to indicate the violence that had taken place.

"No! Are you crazy?" Jungkook yelled into the phone, causing Moon to flinch in the kitchen. "Jimin hyung cleaned up the mess from last night," he continued, his voice still filled with anger and frustration. "I don't care what it takes. We need to make sure this doesn't happen again."

Moon hesitated in the kitchen, her mind racing. She glanced around, feeling uneasy despite the lack of evidence of the previous night's events. The spotless kitchen did nothing to calm her nerves.

Jungkook's voice softened slightly but remained firm. "Listen, we can't afford any more mistakes. Everyone needs to be on high alert. I won't let anything happen to her."

Moon took a deep breath and stepped out of the kitchen, her heart pounding. She needed to confront him, to understand what was happening and why she was in this situation. As she entered the living room, Jungkook ended the call and turned to her, his expression softening when he saw her.

"Moon," he said gently, walking towards her. "Are you okay?"

She nodded, though she felt far from it.
