"Where are we going?" Moon asked for the nth time, but Jungkook just shook his head. In the front seat, Jimin, who was driving, also shook his head in disbelief. The car they were in was fully tinted from the outside, making it impossible for her to see out. To her shock, she realized it was a police car.

"Jungkook, are you surrendering me to the police because I stabbed the chef?" she asked, worry etched on her face. Jungkook gave her a smug look.

"Come on, tell me. You're scaring me," she whispered, her tone low so the officer in the driver's seat wouldn't hear.

"Hey, Mr. Officer, do you know who you're driving? Are you going to arrest me?" Moon asked, eyeing the cop in uniform—Jimin—from the backseat. Jungkook was looking down at his phone, his expression deeply concerned.

Jimin cleared his throat. "It's so rude I haven't introduced myself. I'm Park Jimin, the Deputy Commissioner General of Seongdong District and Jungkook's best friend."

"Oh, nice to meet you, Officer. I am—" Moon started, but Jungkook cut her off, jealousy flashing in his eyes.

"He knows your name and who you are," Jungkook said sharply.

"He what?" she whispered, yelling at Jungkook. "You literally caged me at your home, then the lady chef tried to kill me, and in defense, I stabbed her. And now you're surrendering me to the police? Jungkook, you said you—"

Jungkook interrupted her, his eyes flashing with anger and frustration. "I said I would protect you, and I am. We're not going to the police. We're going somewhere safe."

Moon's eyes widened in disbelief. "Then why are we in a police car?"

Jimin glanced back briefly, his expression serious. "It's a cover. No one will suspect a police car. Trust us, Moon."

Leaning back in the seat, she blinked away her tears as they welled up in her eyes. "I don't trust you," she whispered, just loud enough for Jungkook to hear.

Jungkook's expression tightened, but he decided to remain silent, letting her cry. He knew words wouldn't comfort her right now.

The whole way, Moon's silent sobs filled the car alongside the steady hum of the engine. As they finally reached their destination, the car came to a stop.

"Jungkook, cover up your head or wear a mask, and make her do the same," Jimin instructed, pulling out items from the front cabinet of the car.

"The train to Daegu is departing in half an hour. You both go down and buy tickets for a private cabin," Jimin continued, laying out the plan. "Oh, and the train may stop at some stations; announcements will be made."

"You're not coming inside?" Jungkook asked.

"No, I've already sent some of my men to the other station, and some are stationed here as well," Jimin assured him.

"Until she is safe and settled, I'm not coming back," Jungkook asserted firmly.

"You have to be in Seoul by the end of this week, Jungkook. Mr. Jeon is already suspicious of you," Jimin said in a stern tone, his gaze shifting between Jungkook and Moon, who was wiping away her tears and looking at Jungkook with confusion. "Now get the fuck out of my car; I can't park here for long," Jimin hissed impatiently, his tone edged with urgency.

"Do you want to eat something?" Jungkook asked, eyeing the vending machine. His face was obscured by the mask, his hair messy under the hood of his long coat to shield against the winter wind. Moon, similarly dressed with a hood covering her head, stared silently at the machine without replying.

"Look, Moon, I know this is shocking and frustrating for you, but it's for your safety, my love," Jungkook reassured her, hoping for any response from her.

"Let me go to my home," she said firmly. "That place is the safest place I have."

"That's not a safe place anymore. Don't you understand?" Jungkook replied, trying to contain his frustration. He knew he needed to convince her of the danger without losing her trust.

"People are after you. I don't want any bloodbath, especially in front of you," Jungkook said earnestly, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. "Why, just why? Because I'm with you! I didn't choose this! You took me—" she snapped, her frustration boiling over.

"Moon, I don't want any arguments or anything right now," Jungkook said calmly. "Let's go to the train."

Buying the tickets, Jungkook tightly gripped Moon's hand as they navigated through the bustling train. Finding their seats amidst the throng of passengers, Moon anxiously scanned her surroundings, desperately seeking an escape. She couldn't fathom being caught in the middle of this mess, all because of some vendetta between Jungkook and her father's associates, Her father—a revelation she'd overheard Jungkook discussing with Jimin on her birthday morning—was searching for her. This new knowledge had unsettled her deeply.. Frustrated with the uncertainty and tired of being manipulated, Moon decided it was time to take control.

"Jungkook, I really need to use the restroom," she said firmly, prompting Jungkook to nod in acknowledgment. He stood up, guiding her towards the restroom at the end of the carriage. The train hadn't started moving yet, so he assured her, "I'll wait right outside."

Inside the restroom, Moon's heart raced with conflicting thoughts and emotions. She hesitated, her hand trembling slightly as she leaned against the closed door. "Jungkook," she called out suddenly, her voice echoing in the small space.

"Yes, my love," he responded softly, his voice muffled through the door.

"Can you be honest with me?" she asked, her tone wavering with uncertainty.

"Moon, please," Jungkook began, his voice pleading for her to understand. "Let's talk about it after you come out. "

"It's because of my father, isn't it?" she pressed on, her frustration and confusion pouring out. "You don't really want me. This is just some kind of revenge, right?"

"Moon, I..." Jungkook started to explain, but before he could finish, the door suddenly swung open with force, striking him in the face. Stunned and momentarily blinded, he staggered back, blinking rapidly to clear his vision. By the time he regained his composure and pushed the door open, Moon was already sprinting down the aisle of the train, disappearing into the crowd of passengers.

"Fuck, no!" he yelled, his heart racing with panic as he sprinted after her.
