Our entangled bodies landed on the couch in a cascade of limbs, our lips still locked in the passionate kiss. I cradled her face in my hands, deepening the kiss with fervor, lost in the intensity of the moment.

Just as the heat of our connection grew even more profound, my phone abruptly rang, shattering the spell that had enveloped us. Cursing softly, I reluctantly pulled away from Moon, my chest heaving with desire and frustration.

Moon's disheveled appearance and flushed cheeks mirrored my own, as I reached for the intrusive phone, silently vowing to return to this moment as soon as I could. My blood ran cold as I checked the caller ID and saw that it was my father calling. The interruption couldn't have come at a worse time. I cursed under my breath. I moved toward the balcony, my heart pounding with anxiety as I answered my father's call. Moon had shifted to a seated position on the couch, her expression uncertain. The evening breeze brushed against my face as I spoke.

"What is it, father?" I inquired, trying to maintain a composed tone.

"Any updates about the daughter of the Kim ?" he demanded on the other line, his voice tinged with impatience.

I hesitated for a moment, the weight of my secret bearing down on me. I couldn't reveal the truth to my father, not now.

"Nothing substantial yet," I replied carefully, my words laced with a hint of deception. "But we're working on it."

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line, and I held my breath, hoping my father wouldn't press further.

"Very well," he said finally. "Keep me informed of any developments. This is crucial, Jungkook."

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. "I understand, father. I'll do everything in my power."

"I understand, father. I'll do everything in my power," I replied, masking the unease in my voice. My father's next question sent a shiver down my spine. "Where are you now?" he inquired. My heart rate quickened as I weighed my response carefully. "Home," I replied, trying to sound casual.

"Your mom wants you to be home, you know," he continued. "She's always nagging about it. I know you're working on something important, but come for dinner."

I swallowed hard, my mind racing. The last thing I needed was a family dinner, especially with the secrets I was harboring. But I couldn't refuse my mother's request.

"Of course, father," I conceded. "I'll be there."

With a heavy heart, I ended the call, muttering a curse under my breath. I knew I was in a difficult situation. As I walked back into the living room, I found Moon staring at me, her eyes filled with curiosity and a hint of concern. I could feel her gaze on me, questioning and searching for answers. I didn't want to involve her any further in the dangerous game I was playing, but I also couldn't lie to her.

Taking a deep breath, I approached her and spoke softly. I tried to keep the conversation serious and focused, but Moon had a knack for throwing me off balance. She jumped up from the couch with an unexpected burst of energy, her eyes ablaze with emotion.

"You took my first kiss!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of anger and frustration. Her cheeks were flushed, and she was practically radiating intensity.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair as I tried to maintain my composure. "Aha, did I?" I replied casually, trying to deflect the tension with a hint of humor. But beneath my nonchalant exterior, my mind was still racing with the kiss.

Moon's eyes widened in surprise at my response, and her anger seemed to momentarily waver as she processed what I had just said. It was a risky move to bring humor into such a serious conversation, but I hoped it would ease some of the tension between us.

She blinked at me, her cheeks still flushed, but the fiery intensity in her gaze began to soften. I nodded, my admission hanging between us like a fragile thread of connection. "Yeah, your first kiss I took," I repeated, my voice a little softer this time.

"Fucking bastard," she muttered under her breath, but I heard it clearly.

I couldn't help but smirk, though I quickly tried to hide it. "What was that, love?" I asked, feigning ignorance.

She glared at me, her cheeks still flushed with anger. "You heard me," she snapped. "I can't believe you took my first kiss, you arrogant prick."

I leaned in closer, my smirk returning. "You can't deny it, though. You liked it."Her eyes blazed with fury, but I could see the flicker of uncertainty in them. "Don't flatter yourself, Jungkook."

I shrugged nonchalantly. "Maybe, maybe not. But you'll never forget it."

Her cheeks reddened in response, and I couldn't help but chuckle. "I don't have time for wasting my energy on... well, you know," I said, my tone lightening. I moved to the breakfast table, which had long grown cold, and began clearing the plates. The half-eaten food was stored away, and the dishes were placed in the sink, each action done with a sense of routine.

As I worked, I glanced back at her, hoping this change in conversation had diffused some of the tension that had been building between us.

She watched me silently, her expression a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty. I could tell that she was still processing everything that had happened, just as I was. The air between us had shifted, becoming a little less charged with conflict and a bit more open.

Once I had finished clearing the table, I turned to face her fully. "Love, I hope you've come to understand that defying me won't lead to anything good," I said, my voice softening. "I don't want us to be at odds with each other."

"But just tell me the real reason why you brought me here?" she asked innocently, her eyes searching mine.

I couldn't help but chuckle at her question, the tension in the room momentarily dissipating. "I stalked you, what do you think I want from you?" I replied with a smirk, trying to lighten the mood.

"For fuck" she rolled her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips. "Okay, smartass. Seriously though, Jungkook, what's the deal? Why did you really bring me here?"

My amusement faded as I looked into her eyes, realizing that I owed her an honest answer.I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt as I left her question unanswered. Moon deserved to know the truth, but there were things that I needed to handle first. As much as I wanted to keep her safe, there were still dangers lurking outside these walls, and I couldn't afford to let my guard down.

I glanced back at her one last time, meeting her gaze with a mixture of longing and regret. "It's not the right time to know about it," I told her, my voice heavy with unspoken emotions. "Be a good little girl while I'm gone, don't cause trouble, and miss me as much as you can."

With those words, I turned away and headed for the front door, leaving Moon behind in the penthouse. As the elevator descended, I couldn't shake the feeling that our lives were about to become even more complicated, and I had a sinking suspicion that the truth I was keeping from her might change everything.
