🦋 Two • Caffeine And Confusion 🦋
That afternoon Miraya was present in the office of Jashn Agnihotri, Shashank's uncle and her best friend Angana's father. A merger was taking place between Agnihotri Consulting Services owned by the Agnihotri family and BrainTech owned by Sameep Anand. Miraya, being the corporate lawyer of the Agnihotri clan, was reviewing the details of the merger carefully to make sure there was no loophole in the contract that could put the Agnihotri's in a difficult position in the future.
Everything was going fine. Nothing about the contract seemed suspicious to her. So she put the files down for a while and stepped out of the cabin to have a break. She already drank eight cups of coffee in the last five hours and yet she needed more caffeine. So she went to the coffee maker and began preparing a cup of coffee for herself. Though interns were in charge of making coffee for the seniors but Miraya craved a very specific taste of coffee that only she could make. So she put the ingredients very carefully and let it get prepared.
Miraya was engrossed in her phone when she felt a hand on her arm. She quickly pushed the hand away and turned around to see Swayam Yaduvanshi. A guy who by relation was her second cousin but that pervert never treated her like a cousin because they were not blood related. So he never missed any chance to flirt with her. And it only made Miraya hate him even more.
Miraya passed him a cold glare before picking up her cup of coffee and she began walking away. But Swayam followed her.
“Miraya, you know, I have talked to my parents to ask for your hand in marriage.”
She wanted to pour the coffee on him for having the audacity to say that. But she composed herself. Not even in her dreams she would waste her coffee on that pervert.
She ignored him and kept walking towards the cabin assigned to her. However, she could still hear footsteps following her. Miraya huffed in annoyance before turning around to put some sense into his empty head. But it wasn't Swayam who was following her this time. It was Shashank.
“Shashank? When did you come?” She asked in confusion.
“Well, I come to the office at sharp nine in the morning.” He replied while glancing at his wristwatch.
Miraya rolled her eyes before saying, “I'm asking when did you come here. And where's that pervert Swayam? He left so easily, I can't believe that.”
“Oh, he left as soon as he saw me.” He shrugged.
“Of course, he will leave. You are such a giant. Anyone will be afraid of you.” She chuckled while taking a sip of the coffee.
“Why was he flirting with you? He is your cousin, right?” He asked her with a curious undertone.
“Well, we are not blood related. So he wants to marry me.” Just saying it out loud made her feel disgusted. She wondered why that pervert Swayam could actually plan on doing that.
“What an idiot!” Shashank expressed his disgust at the idea.
“I know, we are still cousins even if we aren't related by blood.” Miraya shared her opinion.
“No, I called him idiot because he wants to marry you.” But Shashank Agnihotri, the giant, could never leave a chance to annoy her.
“Excuse me, I'm the sole heir to my father's wealth. And except you, all the bachelors of Awadh want to marry me.” Miraya replied to him quite boldly.
“So you are upset that I don't want to marry you?” Shashank smirked.
“No, I'm grateful. I don't want to marry a giant like you either.” Miraya reciprocated his arrogant smirk.
“Just say you are afraid that you won't be able to bear my weight during sex.” And these words left her speechless.
“Shut up!” She yelled at him.
“What? I'm just stating facts.” But he shrugged as if he said nothing scandalous.
“Well, I can manage three men of your size at once.” Uttering this sentence was something Miraya was going to regret all her life.
“Oooh, so madam is into foursome.” The grin on his handsome face said it all. He was going to tease her lifelong.
“No! Oh Gosh, why did I say that? Don't get wrong ideas, Shashank.” Regret came rushing to make her feel like the most stupid person alive on earth.
“Don't worry, I have two friends who have the same built like me. Just call me whenever you feel like getting banged by three giant men.” Miraya gasped hearing him say that so casually with that idiotic smile.
“Shashank, I'll kill you.” She warned him with gritted teeth.
“Ride me before you kill me.” He winked at her.
“Shashank! I'll throw this hot coffee on you if you didn't stop. Get lost!” She threatened him. Even though the coffee wasn't hot enough anymore.
“Alright, alright, I'm leaving.” He raised his both hands in the air and walked away, all the while grinning like the asshole he was.
Miraya huffed one last time before entering her cabin.

A few days passed peacefully, minus the mornings. Because every morning Miraya would receive a text from Shashank that read - Wanna have foursome 😉
Shashank was annoying the hell out of her quite consistently. And it was definitely messing with her head. Because her last Google search was - Is it okay to have foursome?
It wasn't like she was planning to do it. But the idea of doing it was popping in her head quite often.
She was sitting with her parents on the dining table and was eating her breakfast but still the thought of foursome was clouding on her mind constantly.
But her father's voice put a break on her dirty thoughts.
“Mira, did you hear Swayam sold his shares of Agnihotri Consulting Services?” He asked her.
“Oh, good riddance. Just looking at him sitting in the conference room used to ruin my mood. By the way, who bought his shares?” She asked while pouring some orange juice for herself.
“Surprisingly, it's Shashank.”
“Shashank? Why would he buy more shares? He has never done something like this before.” And the thought of foursome crossed her mind again. But she tried her best to not focus on it.
“Well, who knows? He maybe saw an opportunity that we are yet to realize.”
“Hmm, maybe.” She smiled and gulped down the orange juice.

Miraya was sitting in her office. The merger between Agnihotri Consulting Services and BrainTech was finalized. So she no more needed to go to the office of Agnihotri's and see Shashank's annoying face.
But still she couldn't understand why Shashank would buy shares from Swayam. Because she knew both of them quite well. Swayam would definitely sell his shares at a high price. And Shashank would never agree for an overpriced deal. This thought appalled her to check the details of the deal. Being the corporate lawyer of Agnihotri family, it wasn't difficult for her to get her hands on the file. She just needed to ring a bell to her best friend Angana who arranged the file for her.
Much to her surprise, Swayam sold the shares at the market price. Not even a penny was increased. It was hard to grasp this piece of information.
So she immediately rang a bell to Swayam. She was way too curious and could bear with his flirting if it meant her curiosity could be satisfied. The call was picked at the fifth attempt.
“Why are you calling me?” That was what Swayam said as soon as he picked up the call. It was very unusual of him to talk like that to her.
“Why did you sell your shares in ACS at the market price?” She asked without beating around the bush.
“I wanted to increase the price but I was not in a position where I could demand a higher price.” He told her.
“Why?” She asked him, not understanding why would he do that.
“Miraya, are you really so oblivious? If I had known liking you would put me in this situation, I'd never show interest in you.”
“Swayam, I have no idea what you are talking about." She replied to him in a confused voice.
“Shashank blackmailed me into selling my shares at a low price.” That piece of information was hard to believe. Teasing her about foursome was a different thing but Shashank could never blackmail anyone.
“Why would he do that?” She asked him.
“I asked him the same. And he replied that he doesn't want me anywhere around you.”
“What? Wait, it must be a miscommunication.” There had to be some serious miscommunication. If her father did that then it would have made sense. But why would Shadhank do that?
“No, he almost made me bankrupt just because I dared to flirt with you in his presence. Miraya, you should have told me you are seeing him.” His words made no sense to her.
“I'm not seeing him. We don't even like each other.” She told him desperately.
“Keep your explanations to yourself. I don't care anymore. I won't bother you ever again.” And the call ended.
Miraya was left more confused after the phone call.
“Why would Shashank do that?” She mumbled to herself in utter confusion.
