Chapter 34
"Aryansh, come and have breakfast!"
The next morning, Sneha called out when she saw him coming down the stairs.
"Daadi, (Grandma) I'm not hungry," Aryansh replied, ignoring his mother's words and headed out for the office. Everyone noticed his behavior and heard his dismissive tone, except for Piya, who was in the prayer room.
Atharv feels guilty for creating the rift between his brother and aunt, while the others feels bad seeing the sourness in the mother-son relationship. Ajay didn't intervene this time because he didn't know whose side to take, as both of them had valid points.
When Piya came into the dining area and saw everyone's sad faces, she asked, "What happened? Where is... ba—I mean, Aryansh?" She bit her lip, catching herself before saying "baby."
"He left for the office," Sunaina softly replied.
"Without breakfast?" Piya pouted, realizing he hadn't eaten or said goodbye. "Yes, yes, he went without having breakfast, and I believe he didn't say goodbye to you, right, Piya?" Ajay immediately seized the opportunity to fuel the fire.
Ajay's comment earned him a cold look from his father, Digvijay, who understood what he is trying to do.
"What, Dad? I'm just worried about my son and his hunger," Ajay said in a sad tone, making Piya believe his words. She quickly stepped outside the dining area and called Aryansh, who picked up on the first ring. Ajay suppressed his smile while his father shook his head which says that you will never change.
"Hey, Jaana."
"Why did you go without having breakfast?" she asked, getting straight to the point.
"I wasn't hungry."
"Shut up and come back now. I made halwa (dessert) for everyone!" Piya insisted. Upon hearing this, Aryansh felt a twinge of guilt for leaving without having it.
"Jaana, do one thing: send the breakfast to the office, and I'll have it there. But I can't come back. Please try to understand."
"Okay, baby," Piya agreed, thinking that he might have some work at the office, unaware that he is simply not in the mood to eat with the family. His mood remained sour from the events of the previous night, and his anger towards his mother still lingered.
Piya sighed as she hung up the phone, concern etched across her face. She could sense the tension in the house, especially between Aryansh and Sneha. The halwa she made was meant to bring everyone together. She came back to the dining area with a less happy face.
Ajay watched Piya's reaction, feeling a twinge of guilt for stoking the flames. "Maybe we should just give him some space," he suggested, trying to diffuse the situation.
At the office, Aryansh sat at his desk, the weight of his anger made him less inclined towards the work in front of him. Back at home, Sneha busied herself, trying to distract herself from her worries about Aryansh.

Before you start reading this, remember: "I love you very much, Piya Aryansh Shekhawat," and nothing could change this fact. You became mine the day you told me that you liked me in the car when we were waiting for the rain to slow down. From that day on, I started loving the rain because every time it brought us closer. That car is my most cherished possession, as we spent many memorable, and intimate moments in it. I never let anyone else sit in that car because it carries your scent, and I don't want to spoil that.
Piya opened the gift that Aryansh had given her last night and was surprised to find a diary inside. It is a simple diary without any decoration, which piqued her curiosity about what is written within. She began reading, and the first paragraph was her husband's love confession.
"I love you too," Piya said, kissing the diary where he had expressed his feelings for her. She turned the page to read further.
