Chapter 19

Two months later...

Over two months, Sheza and Saad's relationship changed subtly but significantly. Sheza grew more comfortable around Saad and his family, despite initially feeling uneasy in the mafia world. She adapted to the environment cautiously yet with curiosity.

As she adjusted to her new life, Sheza thought about her past. It hurt to realize her family had seemingly forgotten her, but she found comfort in starting anew. She no longer carried the heavy burden of responsibility; instead, she found support and guidance from her new family.

Sheza took solace in the comforting words of her mother-in-law, who welcomed her warmly and treated her like a daughter. With her nurturing support, Sheza embraced her role in the family, finding happiness in everyday moments with her small but loving household.

Despite facing challenges during the transition, Sheza's strength and flexibility became evident as she fully embraced her new life. Each day, she gained confidence and satisfaction, thankful for the chance to build a joyful future with her beloved father, Junaid, and her supportive family.

Unorthodox to Sheza's worries, her married life exceeded her expectations. Though her in-laws weren't expressive with words, their actions showed genuine care and concern for her well-being. Despite their stern demeanor, they proved to be kind-hearted individuals, making her feel welcomed and loved.

Sheza felt a special connection with her father-in-law, whom she fondly called "abbu." Despite his reputation for being stern, she discovered a softer side to him that defied stereotypes of mafia patriarchs. Unlike the usual image of a tough, intimidating boss, Junaid Khan was disciplined, clean, and sophisticated.

Junaid's commitment to his appearance speaks volumes about his character. His thorough grooming and attention to detail suggest a disciplined and punctual nature, emphasizing refinement and elegance over levying importance or a gruff demeanour. His dedication shines through in every aspect, from his neatly trimmed beard to his well-tailored attire.

Sheza found comfort in her father's quiet backing and consistent reliability, even though he seemed serious on the surface. Junaid Khan, her father, was a man of integrity and honor, guiding and supporting Sheza in ways she never expected. His actions spoke louder than words, shaping her journey with wisdom and encouragement.

Then comes her husband, Saad Junaid Khan, who is a complex man. He has a mysterious aura, shifting between icy coldness and gentle warmth. Despite his intimidating demeanor and the air of danger around him, Saad shows unexpected tenderness towards Sheza. He lovingly calls her his beautiful Begum, his delicate flower, his little pigeon.

His gaze, piercing and intense with dark green orbs, held a mesmerizing allure for Sheza, drawing her in with its magnetic power. His voice always tinged with a cold, deep timbre, sent shivers down her spine, yet it also carried an underlying tenderness that spoke volumes about his feelings for her.

Despite his rare spells of ruthlessly aggressive behaviour, Saad's actions towards Sheza painted a different picture. He treated her with a delicate touch, often lifting her by her tiny waist or holding her close in a protective embrace. However, his strength sometimes left visible marks, like the red fingerprints she once discovered on her waist.

Saad's habit of lifting Sheza by her waist became one of her most addicting pleasures. Though he remained a mystery to her in many ways, Sheza found herself irresistibly drawn to his complex personality, captivated by the denial of his cold exterior and tender heart.

Despite their tough exterior and strong reputation, the Khan family was completely charmed by their petite daughter-in-law. Standing at just five feet tall, she enchanted them with her every move, her tiny feet softly padding around. Her large, innocent eyes sparkled with curiosity as she explored her new world.

Wrapped in her modest clothes, only her head and chubby hands visible, she radiated an irresistible charm that warmed the hearts of her in-laws. Everything about her seemed cute and endearing, from her innocent antics to her sweet words.

The Khan family, known for their serious demeanour, experienced an unpretentious change in behaviour with her around. Though their smiles appeared more like smirks and their laughs sounded dark and dangerous, deep down, they felt genuine warmth and affection for her, a sentiment hidden behind their intimidating expressions.

Sheza's feelings of submission and vulnerability around the Khan family were amplified by the difference between her gentle nature and the dominating presence of the Khan clan. Being the only delicate and soft-hearted member among ruthless in-laws, she often felt dominated by their commanding presence and the dark auras that seemed to envelop them.

Among Saad's cousins, who also radiated dominance and power, Sheza stood out as the epitome of gentleness and vulnerability. Their tall and imposing presence only made her feel tiny between the giant hunks.

Sheza's introduction to the Khan family's world came during her and Saad's Walima, (After the Nikah, the families will come together and host a Walima (marriage banquet). Walima usually acts as the wedding reception, so this is the event where there will be dinner, opportunities to congratulate the couple, take pictures with them and present gifts. Walima is used as a symbol to show domestic happiness in the household post-marriage).

The event was a grand affair, with a tough crowd ranging from mafia lords to politicians and businessmen. The atmosphere mirrored the dark and dangerous nature of the attendees, with the entire venue cloaked in black, evoking a sense of mystery and intrigue.

As the newlyweds received blessings and congratulations from the assembled guests, Sheza as the wife of one of the world's most renowned businessmen and mafia Lords became public knowledge. However, despite the event's high-profile nature, the bride —Sheza herself remained shrouded in mysteriousness.

No cameras or media were permitted inside the Walima, ensuring that no images of Sheza were captured or circulated beyond the event's confines. This strict privacy enforcement summed up the charm surrounding Sheza, sparking curiosity about the woman who had captured the heart of one of the world's most powerful men.

While the world speculated about the identity of Sheza Saad Junaid Khan, she remained hidden from view, her true essence known only to those closest to her within the enigmatic world of the Khan family.

All these happened because of the small request of Mrs Saad Junaid Khan, let's see the conversation of the couple before the night of Walima.

The night before Walima...

Saad looked up from his laptop as Sheza neared the end of her Isha prayer, her movements filled with a serene grace that always mesmerized him. He watched her with admiration as she silently recited her prayers, her devotion shining through in every gesture.

When Sheza finished her dua and approached him, Saad's gaze softened, and his heart filled with a profound sense of affection for his beloved wife.

"You have a heart of gold, my pigeon," he said softly, his voice carrying a hint of admiration. "Your prayers are a source of strength and guidance for our family, and I am blessed to have you by my side."

Sheza's eyes sparkled with gratitude and love. She leaned in, pressing a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Thank you," she replied, her voice tinged with sincerity.

"I pray that Allah blesses us with a life filled with peace, love, and prosperity."

"Come here," Sheza smiled cutely and walked toward him while bouncing in her steps, Saad softly chuckled at her cute antic and enveloped Sheza in his warm embrace as he pulled her onto his lap, holding her waist tightly against him.

Sheza melted into his embrace, feeling the warmth of his body against hers, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat echoing her own. As he nuzzled his face against her clothed neck, Sheza closed her eyes, relishing the peaceful moment.

Then, Sheza suddenly looked up at him with a cute pout and soft puppy eyes, her expression took him to the wonder of cute fairytales as he stared at her adorable facade.

Saad couldn't resist the charm of Sheza's pout and the innocence radiating from her big puppy eyes. His heart melted at the sight of her, and a fond smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he got the hint that his Begum wants something. Gently, he reached out to cup her cheek, his touch tender against her soft skin and asked.

"Say," Saad's voice, though soft, carried a commanding tone as he made his demand.

"Will there be any camera in the reception?" Sheza asked in a timid, tiny voice making Saad go crazy for her as the time goes with her in his lap, closely holding her against himself.

Saad nodded in response to Sheza's question, indicating that there would indeed be cameras at the reception. Sheza's brows furrowed slightly in concern as she considered the implications of having their moments captured on film.

Taking a deep breath, she continued, her voice laced with determination

"I am not gladdened with it, so can you please skip the C-camera, please" Sheza pleaded softly, her tone infused with a hint of desperation and pleading

Saad's gaze softened as Sheza pleaded softly about skipping the cameras. "You don't have to beg, my pigeon," he said tenderly, his voice a soothing reassurance amidst her worry.

"Your comfort is my priority. There will be no cameras and media in the function for my Begum."

Sheza's eyes glistened with gratitude as she looked up at him, overwhelmed by his understanding and care. "Thank you, my Habibi," she whispered, her voice filled with relief. She lifted herself closer to him and pecked his sharp nose softly with a cute smooch.

Saad smiled warmly, his heart swelling with affection for her. "I would move mountains to see you smile," he confessed softly, his gaze locked with hers. "You are my everything, Begum,"

As Sheza smiled lovingly at Saad's soft comforting words, he pulled her close to his chest. With gentle and deliberate movements, he began to unravel her hijab, his touch tender and gentle as if handling a delicate, fragile doll.

Sheza's hair cascaded down in silky waves as Saad freed it from the messy bun that Sheza tied in order to hide her long wavy hair in the hijab, his fingers tracing through the strands with a massage on her scalp that elicited a sigh of contentment from her lips. She leaned into his touch, her eyes drifting closed as she surrendered to the comforting embrace of his arms.

Meanwhile, Saad's gaze darkened as he beheld Sheza's peaceful sleeping face, his eyes filled with a possessive love that spoke volumes of his devotion to her. Surrounded by the warmth of their love, Sheza and Saad found solace and serenity in each other's arms, their bond growing stronger with each passing heartbeat.

Walima...

The Khan household was decorated like a breathtaking bride of elegance and sophistication, with black roses and balloons adorning every corner. The choice of balloons was a nod to Sheza's fondness for them, a detail that hadn't gone unnoticed by her doting family.

In the days leading up to the event, Sheza had spent countless hours with her mother-in-law, Maira, preparing for the occasion. Renowned artists from around the world had been enlisted to ensure that Sheza was dressed to perfection, with Maira personally overseeing every detail of her attire.

The makeup artists, astounded by Sheza's natural beauty, found themselves hesitant to apply any makeup at all. With her flawless complexion and radiant smile, Sheza seemed to glow from within, rendering makeup almost unnecessary. In the end, they opted for the lightest touch, accentuating her features with a subtle nude makeover that complemented her stunning gown.

The nail artists couldn't help but marvel at Sheza's small, delicate nails, finding them a joy to work with. Unlike their usual clients, Sheza's nails required minimal effort to achieve perfection

Despite their occasional frustrations with difficult clients and unreliable bribes, the nail artists found working with Sheza to be a refreshing change of pace. Her easygoing nature and unwavering politeness made their job a breeze, and they couldn't help but appreciate her exceptional demeanor.

While some clients may have been unresponsive or difficult to please, Sheza always stood out as an exception. Her genuine kindness and appreciation for their craft made the nail artists' job a pleasure, leaving them eager to ensure that every detail of her makeover was executed flawlessly.

Saad stepped onto the stage, his presence hailed the attention of everyone in the room. With his parents trailing behind him, he stood tall and imposing, his expression stoic and unyielding. His dark green orbs swept across the hall, taking in the sea of serious faces and the chilling atmosphere that hung in the air.

Taking hold of the mic, Saad's voice resonated through the room, its deep and husky tone sending shivers down the spines of those gathered.

"Welcome, esteemed guests," Saad began, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife.

"Tonight, We gathered here, to announce the presence of My Wife, the Daughter in law of Khans,"

"She is not merely a daughter-in-law," Saad declared, his voice ringing out with pride, "but a cornerstone of our legacy, a beacon of hope for our future generations. Tonight, let us celebrate her presence among us, and let her light shine brighter than ever before."

As Saad finished his speech, he turned and made his way towards the staircase draped in curtains. With a swift motion, he pulled the curtains aside, revealing Sheza standing there in all her radiant glory, dressed in pristine white that differed against the dark ambience of the event.

Saad looked at her with his soft reassuring eyes and reached out a hand for her, Sheza gulped as her eyes drew toward the sea of emotionless people in black, she looked at Saad with big Bambi eyes that contained fear.

Sheza outstretched her hand and hold onto his big palm tightly, Saad smiled softly for her and squished her palm in a soft comforting manner, Sheza took a deep breath and walked beside him.

Together, they descended the staircase with slow, deliberate steps, the eyes of the guests following their every move. Despite the solemn atmosphere of the gathering, there was a noticeable sense of awe and reverence as Saad and Sheza made their way towards the stage, their presence commanding the attention of all who beheld them.

Saad passed the mic to Sheza, who held it delicately in her hand, her small smile radiating with quiet confidence. With a nod of gratitude towards Saad, she took a deep breath, steeling herself for the moment ahead.

"As-salamu alaykum,"

In a voice that was small yet bold, Sheza addressed the gathered crowd. "As we stand here today," Sheza began, her gaze sweeping across the room, "let us remember the bonds that unite us, the love that sustains us, and the strength that lies within each of us."

"Sheza Saad Junaid Khan,"

Saad took the mic from Sheza's hand as she returned it to him, their eyes meeting briefly, Saad gave Sheza his eye smile at which Sheza returned a beautiful cheeky smile. With a stern yet cold demeanour, Saad addressed the crowd once more, his voice resonating with authority and confidence.

"Enjoy," he took out his gun from his waistband and raised it in the air, all the Mob Boss followed and raised their guns along with the guards and servants and they fired in the air. Sheza flinched badly and hauled toward Saad holding his arm tightly and closed her eyes tightly, Saad smirked and held her waist tightly and side-hugged her, the guns were firing continuously, Saad raised his hand and the firing stopped.

As the Walima continued, relatives and guests filed in one by one, offering their blessings and gifts to the newlywed couple. The atmosphere was solemn yet filled with a sense of camaraderie and respect among the adult attendees.

Amidst the sea of serious faces, Sheza stood out like a shining moon in the dark sky, her radiance and grace captivating all who beheld her. Despite the somber ambiance of the event, her presence brought a sense of light and warmth to the gathering, her smile like a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.

With each interaction, Sheza greeted guests with genuine warmth and gratitude, her infectious energy drawing people towards her like moths to a flame. Despite the absence of children or younger attendees, the atmosphere remained buoyant and celebratory, fueled by the love and joy that surrounded the newlyweds.

As Sheza moved through the room, she approached a group of her husband's male cousins, all members of the Khan clan, meeting them for the first time.

"Ah, Litte Sister-in-law! You're the light of this event," boomed Farooq, the eldest cousin, his deep voice resonating in the room.

Sheza felt her cheeks flush as she mustered a shy smile. "Th-thank you, Farooq bhai," she stuttered softly. "It's a pleasure to m-meet everyone."

"You don't have to be so shy, little sister," said Aamir, another cousin, his tone gentle but authoritative. "We've heard a lot about you."

Sheza's eyes darted around, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "I-I'm glad to finally meet you all," she whispered.

"Relax, Sheza, dear," Imran, one of the older cousins, added with a kind smile. "We're family now. You can call me Imran bhai."

Just then, Uncle Azim approached with Aunt Razia. "Sheza beta, we've heard such wonderful things about you from your brother and Sister-in-law, is this true, huh?," Uncle Azim said, his voice deep and reassuring.

Sheza's heart raced, and she managed a nervous smile. "Th-that's very kind of them, Uncle Azim," she stammered softly, her eyes darting between Uncle Azim and Aunt Razia.

Aunt Razia's expression softened as she spoke in a calm yet firm tone, "Yes, Sheza dear, we've heard quite a bit about you. It's good to finally meet you in person."

Uncle Azim, his demeanor authoritative yet reassuring, nodded slowly. "Your brother and sister-in-law speak highly of your loyalty and discretion. Those are traits we value in our family."

Sheza nodded, trying to maintain composure amidst the weight of their words. "I-I appreciate the trust you've placed in me."

Now, Sheza was surrounded by the formidable presence of Saad's Khan clan—his uncles, towering cousins, and the occasional aunt—Sheza stood, a petite figure amidst a sea of strong, imposing men. Despite their rough exteriors and dominating aura, they couldn't help but be captivated by Sheza's delicate charm.

Saad's eldest cousin, Khalid, with his booming voice and a demeanor that could intimidate mountains, leaned down towards Sheza with a playful gleam in his eyes. "Well, well, if it isn't our little pearl amidst all these stones," he chuckled, his voice surprisingly gentle for someone of his stature.

His younger brother, Tariq, who sported a perpetual scowl that softened whenever he looked at Sheza, chimed in, "Yes, our little rabbit among the lions. You bring light to this gathering, Little Sheza ."

Sheza blushed, her cheeks turning a rosy hue as she looked up at the towering cousins. "Oh, stop it," she murmured shyly, feeling both flattered and slightly overwhelmed by their attention.

The uncle, Abbas Khan, known for his gruff exterior and serious demeanor, couldn't resist a smile as he joined in, "Indeed, you're like a gentle breeze in a desert storm, Sheza. Saad is fortunate to have you."

Saad's aunt, Fatima, who had been observing the interaction with a fond smile, added in her melodious voice, "We should give her a fitting nickname that reflects her sweetness and strength, don't you think?"

Khalid rubbed his chin thoughtfully, exchanging a glance with Tariq and Abbas. "How about 'Khayal'?" he suggested, the Arabic word for 'imagination' but also connoting someone cherished and protected.

Tariq nodded approvingly, his usually stern expression softening further. "Khayal it is. Sheza, from now on, you're our Khayal," he declared with a rare warmth in his tone.

Sheza blinked back tears of happiness, feeling truly welcomed into Saad's formidable family. "Thank you so much, you all are so good," she whispered, touched by their gesture.

Khalid, the elder cousin known for his jovial spirit and booming laughter, leaned in with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

"Khayal," he began, using Sheza's newly bestowed nickname with pride, "how did you manage to capture Saad's heart?"

Sheza giggled softly, her eyes affectionately searching the room for Saad before answering. "Oh, Saad has a heart of gold once you get past his serious exterior. He swept me off my feet with his kindness."

Tariq, who had been observing with a slight smile, chimed in teasingly, "So you're saying he's a softie underneath all that toughness?"

Sheza blushed, her cheeks turning a delicate shade of pink. "Maybe he has a soft spot just for me," she replied playfully, glancing at Tariq with a sparkle in her eyes.

"He's just so amazing, you know?" Sheza's voice carried a mix of awe and affection, her eyes alight with adoration as she spoke of Saad. "From the moment we met, he had this way of making me feel like I was the most important person in the world, how he patiently listened to me ramble about my dreams and aspirations, and then shared his own with such passion and sincerity. It was like we had known each other forever."

Tariq, usually reserved but visibly touched by Sheza's heartfelt words, nodded with a soft smile. "Saad has that effect on people. He's genuine."

Abbas, the stoic figure with a kind heart, interjected in his deep voice, "His dedication is unmatched. I've always admired that about him."

Sheza nodded vigorously, her words tumbling out in a rush of excitement. "And his laugh! Have you heard his laugh? It's like music to my ears. It fills the room with joy, and suddenly everything feels lighter."

Tariq chuckled warmly, exchanging a glance with Abbas who seemed equally amused and captivated by Sheza's animated storytelling.

"He's also incredibly patient," Sheza continued, her hands gesturing animatedly as she recounted stories of Saad's calm demeanor. "There was this one time when I completely lost track of time while shopping with Ammi, and he waited patiently for hours without a single complaint. When I finally realized how late it was, he just smiled and said, 'I knew you'd find something you My Begum.'"

Before she could finish, Khalid, the eldest cousin known for his hearty laughter, joined the conversation with a booming voice, "Ah, Khayal, you've got us all convinced. Saad is truly lucky to have his Begum!"

Sheza blushed, feeling a surge of warmth at Khalid's words. "I'm the lucky one," she replied softly, her gaze fondly drifting towards Saad who was engaged in conversation with his uncles nearby.

Ali, the youngest of Saad's cousins but with a heart as big as his towering frame, leaned in with a grin. "Khayal, have you tried our famous biryani yet? You must, it's our family's secret recipe!"

Sheza laughed softly, touched by Ali's enthusiasm. "Not yet, Ali. But I'll definitely give it a try."

Across the table, Ahmed, known for his sharp wit and dry humor, chimed in, "Be careful, Khayal. Our biryani is known to steal hearts!"

Sheza's cheeks flushed pink, a blend of shyness and amusement at the playful banter. "I'll keep that in mind," she replied with a playful glint in her eye.

As the evening wore on, the Khan clan's initial curiosity about Sheza blossomed into genuine admiration and affection. Amidst the lively conversations and the rhythmic beat of traditional music, Sheza found herself surrounded by Saad's cousins, uncles, and even a few of the more reserved aunts, all eager to get to know her better.
