Chapter 17

|Day one of good habits|

One week later~

Sheza's cheeks adorned a delicate blush as she noticed Saad's intense green gaze fixed upon her while she arranged files on the glass table. Smiling shyly, she averted her gaze.

"Y-ya, why are you staring at me?" her words delivered with a subtle stutter.

In response to Saad's smirk and intense gaze, Sheza let out a low whine, with a coy smile, she hid her face behind a blue file. Saad chuckled darkly as he approached with heavy steps. He bent down to her height and removed the file to reveal her blushing face, staring intensely into her Bambi-like eyes he caressed her deep red cheeks.

Sheza, heavily blushing, her chubby cheeks taking on a deep shade of red, felt adorably nervous. As she bit her lips in response to Saad's dominant presence, her lips, too, turned a deep shade of red.

"I am staring at what's mine," Saad declared, his voice firm yet possessive.

Sheza let out a loud whine, covering her eyes with her hands in a playful attempt to escape the intensity of the moment. The big, bulky mafia, usually composed and dominant, found himself unable to contain a hearty laugh at her adorable antics.

He looked at her with a loving gaze, gently pulling her hands away from her face. "Don't hide from me," he murmured softly, his eyes locking onto hers. "I want to see you."

Sheza's blush deepened, but she didn't resist. Her eyes, wide and sparkling, looked up at him with a mixture of shyness and curiosity. Saad cupped her face in his large hands, his thumbs gently stroking her flushed cheeks.

"You have no idea how beautiful you are," he whispered, leaning in closer. Sheza's breath hitched, and she felt her heart pounding in her chest. Saad's presence was overwhelming, yet comforting.

He leaned down, capturing her forehead in a tender kiss. Sheza's eyes fluttered closed as she melted into the gentle touch, her hands tentatively resting on Saad's broad shoulders.

Saad pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against hers. "I never thought I'd find someone who could make me feel this way," he admitted, his voice low and sincere.

Sheza smiled, her nerves slowly being replaced by a warm sense of belonging. "Neither did I," she whispered back.

Saad took a step back, still holding her hand. "Come," he said, leading her to the plush sofa. He sat down, pulling her onto his lap. Sheza giggled, feeling the tension ease from her shoulders.

They sat there, talking softly, sharing stories and dreams. The fire crackled in the background, casting a soft, flickering light that danced across their faces. Saad's hand gently stroked Sheza's hair, his touch soothing and protective.

"I want you to know," Saad said after a while, his tone serious, "that you mean everything to me. I'll protect you, cherish you, and never let anyone harm you."

Sheza looked up at him, her eyes shining with emotion. "I know," she replied, her voice steady. "And I feel the same way about you."

Saad looked at her sincere face with a happy gaze, her sincere face was so cute that he could not resist and laughed wholeheartedly.

Sheza's grumbling grew louder, her playful frustration evident. Amidst his laughter, he managed to say, "You're too cute for your own good," he patted her head affectionately.

Pouting with the utmost cuteness, she patted her chubby cheeks lightly, which made Saad smile. Sheza couldn't resist using her whiny voice as she asked, "Did you eat lunch?"

He shook his head, lifted her up and made her sit beside him, then he picked up the file and pretended to go through them, her voice playful as she asked curiously, "Why?"

"Didn't feel like eating," he replied, internally smiling at her innocent care and devotion toward him. He continued to check the file, but his main focus remained on her next cute yet adorable actions.

In a cute gasp, Sheza inserted a remark, looking at him with her big Bambi eyes that held nothing but genuine care and worry for him. "You need to eat at least something," she said with a cute pout.

"Not really," he answered, trying to neglect her cute actions, especially her expressions and her tiny chubby hands on her mini waist.

Sheza's pout deepened as she marched over to him, hands still on her hips. "You can't work on an empty stomach," she insisted, her tone both stern and endearing.

Saad looked up from his file, unable to resist the sight of her determined face. "Alright, alright," he chuckled, setting the file aside. "I'll eat something, but only if you join me."

Sheza's face lit up with a triumphant smile. "Deal!" she exclaimed, grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the door of the spacious room.

Nodding in agreement, Saad followed her. Sheza, with each step, created a premature Pittar Pattar sound, Saad, following her lead, realized the absence of Wahaj, the personal guard of his Begum.

With a glance around, his green orbs caught Wahaj standing at a considerable distance. Gesturing him to come closer, Saad's attention then shifted to Sheza, who was hopping down the stairs with an innocent char.

Wahaj saw Saad, gesturing him to come closer, he immediately went toward Saad bowed down ninety degrees, and said in a cold formal tone.

"Good afternoon, Mr Khan,"

With a nod, Saad spoke in a cold, deep voice, his intimidating gaze piercing through the surroundings. The significance of his words and the intensity of his stare expressed a sense of authority and seriousness, setting a dark tone for the unfolding events.

"What were you doing, standing this far," he questioned.

"Miday asked me to stay a little far away, 'cause she was uncomfortable,"he stated his perspective, casting his eyes down and head hung low.

Saad's intense stare carried a weight of significance, acknowledging the importance of his Begum's decision regarding her personal space. His nod reflected not only respect for her self-sufficiency but also a deep sincerity in understanding that certain boundaries were non-negotiable.

With a final gaze, he descended downstairs, where he saw his baby wife's small frame standing in front of counter top of the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Sheza focused on gathering ingredients while Saad, seated on a stool, engrossed himself in his phone. She hummed softly to herself, her petite form skillfully chopping veggies on the countertop. The scene looked very domestic, a picture of calm and routine.

The serenity was shattered when Saad's phone rang. He brought it to his ear, all the while staring at Sheza with a soft smile. However, as he answered the call, his demeanor changed instantly. "Speak!" he commanded, his voice turning cold and deep, sending a shiver down Sheza's body as the seriousness of his words filled the kitchen.

"Almafya, Fakhir Abbasi is running toward North," the voice on the other end reported urgently.

Anger surged through Saad's veins, an intense storm manifesting in a harsh, abrupt rise from his seat. The heavy stool crashed down with a deafening noise, causing Sheza to jump in fear, her knife clattering to the countertop.

Turning towards him, she witnessed a formidable sight – Saad fuming with rage. His jaw clenched, neck veins pulsating, and his eyes, usually intense, now glowed with an unsettling red hue, their capillaries visible. His dark aura and ominous gaze filled the kitchen, making the air feel thick and oppressive.

"Listen carefully," Saad growled into the phone, his voice a dangerous whisper that sent chills down Sheza's spine. "I want Fakhir Abbasi caught within the next five hours. I don't care how many men it takes or what you have to do. He does not escape."

The voice on the other end stammered in agreement, but Saad cut them off, his tone turning even more menacing. "If you fail, don't bother coming back. I want him alive and in my basement. You have five hours. Not a minute more. Understood?"

There was a moment of tense silence before the voice on the other end responded with a shaky, "Yes, sir."

Saad's heavy breathing echoed in the silent kitchen as he ended the call, his hands balled into fists. He took a moment to collect himself, though the raw fury still radiated from him. He turned to Sheza, his expression softening just slightly as he saw the fear in her wide eyes.

Sheza, sensing the tension broke eye contact, and approached the fridge. Taking a cold water bottle and a glass, she mumbled something under her breath. Blowing gently on the water, she then approached Saad, who was visibly disturbed, and spoke in a scared voice,

"D-drink this, please," Sheza said, her voice trembling as she held out a glass of water.

Saad removed his hand from his face, a scary, glaring gaze meeting Sheza's eyes. Without uttering a word, he turned towards the glass, silently reaching for the water to calm his frustrations. However, just as he was about to drink, Sheza interrupted, "First sit down."

Despite the dangerous glare in his eyes, Saad exhibited a remarkable display of obedience as he paid attention to Sheza's interruption. Respecting her even in the midst of his anger, he complied with her unspoken request and took a seat on another stool.

"Now, say Bismillah, and drink the water in three sips," Sheza instructed, her voice firmer now. Saad, casting side eyes, succumbed to Sheza's request and followed her instructions. What could he do when his pretty small wife with two big puppy eyes asked him to do something?

With a deep breath, Saad muttered, "Bismillah," and took the first sip. He paused, feeling a bit of his tension ease. The second sip brought more calm, and by the third sip, the raging storm inside him had lessened, if only a little.

Sheza watched him closely, relief washing over her as she saw his anger gradually dissipate. "Jazakallah Kair" she whispered, her voice barely audible.
[Thank you, May Alllah bless you]

The transformative power of her happiness had a calming effect on him, melting away the leftovers of his earlier frustration and replacing it with a feeling of warmth and contentment.

Saad looked into her eyes, seeing the genuine concern and love that always seemed to ground him. "Alhamdulillah," he murmured, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. [Praise be to Allah.]

Sheza returned his smile, the tension in the room dissolving as they sat together in silence.

After that Sheza returned to her cooking with a relief smile on her lips.

Saad stood closely behind her, his presence felt intimately as his hands gently found their place on her small waist. The grip tightened, creating a sensation that took Sheza's breath away. His hot breath on her neck added an electrifying touch. (hehe you can't expect that she is wearing a hijab).

Saad tenderly nuzzled his face into the curve of her covered neck, inhaling the sweet scent of vanilla that enveloped her.

"Begum," he murmured against her ear, his lips brushing her clothed skin lightly, causing her to gasp softly.

"Y-yes?" she managed to say, her hands trembling slightly as she tried to continue chopping.

"Why don't you give me a nickname or call me by my name?" Saad's voice was a low, soothing rumble, filled with curiosity and a hint of playfulness.

Sheza paused, her mind racing. She had always called him by his title, a sign of respect and affection. But now, hearing his request, she felt a warmth spread through her chest.

"I... I guess I've never thought about it," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Saad tightened his grip on her waist slightly, pulling her even closer.

"Well, it's time to think about it now," he encouraged gently, his breath hot passing through her hijab on her neck.

Sheza took a deep breath, feeling the steady thump of Saad's heart against her back. "Saad," she said slowly, testing the sound of his name on her lips. It felt strange yet intimate, like a secret shared only between them.

He smiled against her neck. "That's a start," he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her shoulder.

"But how about something more personal, Habibti?"

Sheza's cheeks flushed with a deep shade of red as she considered his words. "How about... Habibi?" she suggested hesitantly, the endearment sounding sweet and tender.

Saad's eyes sparkled with affection. "Habibi," he repeated, his voice filled with warmth. "I like that."

Sheza smiled, feeling a new level of closeness between them. "Alright, Habibi," she said softly, her heart swelling with love.

Saad's hold on her tightened in response, his lips brushing her ear once more. "I knew you'd come up with something cute," he whispered.

Feeling a surge of courage, Sheza turned her head slightly to look at him. "And what will you call me?" she asked, her eyes shining with anticipation.

Saad's gaze softened as he looked at her, his love evident in every line of his face. "My Begum," he said gently.

Sheza's smile widened, her heart fluttering at the sound of the affectionate term. "I like that," she replied, her voice filled with happiness.

"Good," Saad said, pressing a final kiss to her temple. "Now, let's finish cooking together, my Begum."Sheza resumed her cooking, a contented smile on her lips, feeling Saad's comforting presence behind her.

Saad, still standing close, occasionally reached out to help, his hands brushing hers as they worked together. The simple, domestic scene was filled with a tender, unspoken understanding.

"Hand me the spices, my Begum," Saad said softly, his tone playful yet loving.

Sheza handed him the spices, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Here you go, my love," she responded, feeling a warmth spread through her chest.

They continued to cook together, their movements synchronized, each action a reflection of their deep connection. Together, they set the table, their hearts full and their bond stronger than ever.

Just as they were about to sit down to eat, Saad's phone buzzed on the counter. He glanced at it and saw an urgent message flash on the screen. His expression grew serious again, but before he could react, Sheza gently touched his arm.

"First, Bismillah" she reminded him softly.

Saad took a deep breath, nodding. "Yes," he agreed, squeezing her hand.

He sent a quick response to the message, then turned his attention back to Sheza. "Let's enjoy this meal first, Bismillah. We'll deal with everything else after, Insha'Allah."

Sheza flashed her cute bunny smile and muttered the dua before eating, then started to eat the token of love they created together. Saad smiled while looking at her chipmunk face, feeling a warmth spread through his chest.

"My cute Begum,"
