I lay comfortable on the soft leather chair whilst I smoothed my black dress down. We were at a private gynaecologists office for our first ultrasound. Although Aiden was super busy with work he made sure he was here for our appointment.

I clutched his hand whilst he smiled and rubbed my stomach. We were going to find out how far we were in the pregnancy. His hand however kept wondering down my stomach to my bare legs.

"Can you stop doing that, the doctor could be here in any minute" I said removing his hand and placing it on his lap.

"It's not my fault your on a bed with your legs spread open. My mind puts two and two together and it usually equals sex" he said seriously.

I rolled my eyes as the doctor entered. She smiled "Is everyone ready"

I nodded nervously as she booted up the machine. "I'm just going to put some gel on your stomach, it will feel a little cold at first" she explained.

I lifted my dress up as she placed the gel on it. Smearing it across she places the device on my stomach and looks at the screen. Suddenly my beautiful little baby appears.

I choke as she explains where the head is and the weight of it. I turn to see Aiden standing as he smiles, his dimples impossibly deep.

"It looks like your 3 months, the baby is healthy. I can't find out the sex yet but once you've passed your first trimester we can find out. Would you like a print out of the pictures?"

"Yes please" Aiden says as he kisses my forehead.

"I'm going to print you a prescription for some vitamins you need to take. Also make sure your not in any stress, it's not good for the baby" she explains as she wipes the gel off my stomach and I swing my legs around and stand.

Handing us the print outs and the prescription we head out after making our second appointment.

Aiden holds me close as we exit and get into the backseat of he car. His guards start the engine.

"Where to boss?"

Aiden turns to me, "I have work to do but I don't want to leave you"

"So take me with you to your office. I'll just be happy as long as you get me some food on the way" I say laughing. He grins and kisses my mouth.

"To my office it is, but stop by our Chinese food place first" Aiden instructs.

Aiden goes in to the Chinese food shop to grab the food and then we head to his office. Once we get inside Gabriel's already sitting in Aidens chair.

"I hope you got me some food" is the first thing that comes out Gabriel's mouth. I dish up the food whilst the brothers embrace and talk business. I block most of what they are saying out.

Handing them a plate of food each I settle on the couch with my plate.

"So what have you been up to Gabriel?" I ask as he takes a seat next to me.

"Same old you know. Sex, blood, making money" he answers casually.
I give him a dirty look.

"Hey no dirty looks blondie, you know how much they turn me on" he says smiling.
Aiden growls from his seat and throws a prawn at Gabriel's face.

"I'm not blonde" I question.

"Just felt like calling you blondie" Gabriel shrugs.

This is how my afternoon went. Me and Gabriel making jibes at each other. While Aiden threw things at him when he got too flirty.

I must have fallen asleep because when I got up Aiden and Gabriel were talking in hushed whispers.
I leave my eyes closed as I try to make out what they are saying.

"It's a fucking death wish going against the council. Even I'm saying that and you know I don't give a fuck" Gabriel says.

"We don't have to do for the council, if we wipe him out alone then the council won't be able to prove shit" Aiden replies.

"Is she really worth it?" Gabriel asks quietly.

"Yes she fucking is. She's mine, nobody else will ever be with her. Never" Aiden says. "I want you to promise me something"

"What?"

"If anything ever happens to me you'll look after her. I mean it. Your all the family I have left, I don't particularly trust you but I love you and I know you love me. Please look after her" Aiden says.

"It's not going to come to that. Stop with all this depressing shit. We are going to kill that bastard and end it" Gabriel says.

"Just promise me okay"

"I promise" Gabriel replies.

I clutch my stomach, nothing's going to happen to Aiden. So why do I have such a bad feeling.

Gabriel leaves shortly after.

After a couple more minutes I pretend to get up. Aiden smiles as stretch and saunter to the bathroom. I pee and the wash my hands and my face. I reapply my lipgloss and mascara and fix my hair into a high ponytail.

I come out of the bathroom and walk over to Aiden. I sit in his lap as I eye the time.

"It's coming up to 10pm baby shouldn't you get some sleep" I ask.

He sighs "Your right, I can finish this tomorrow"

He kisses my mouth, I bite his lip.

"I love you" I say

"I love you more" he says but I roll my eyes. He grabs my legs and throws me over his shoulder. I giggle as he slaps my ass and we head to the elevator. A couple of people eye us strangely as I giggle and Aiden stands there seriously with me over his shoulder.

He heads out of the elevator into the car park.

"I can't wait to get you home so we can make love" he says as I squeeze his butt playfully.

He's about to unlock our door. When a gun shot goes off. Twice.

Then it all goes black.
