Steam rose into the air as Sebastian poured two cups of tea into fine china cups. Their breakfast was silent other than the sound of sipping and the clatter of sliver wear on plates.

"An invitation for you master" Sebastian said handing a slip of paper to his masters free hand.

Ciel observed it well. Flicking it open with his finger.

Mr.phantomhive

I invite you for my annual ball at my home. Please bring anyone you see fit. It will be held tomorrow. I hope to see there.
Sincerely,
Alois trancy

This could be interesting. Maybe he would attend.

"Lily would you like to attend a ball with me?" Ciel asked as he took the last sip of Earl grey and held out his cup to be refilled.

"Sound interesting. I suppose I'll accompany you," she said standing from the table.
"But I'll have to go out to find something suitable to wear. Can I impose to use you carriage?"

"Actually would you mind if I accompany you," he said wiping his mouth with his napkin.

"Not at all master."
They left within the hour for London.

Lily, Ciel and Sebastian walked the streets peering into dress shop windows but saw nothing. Finally they passed a window with a beautiful gown on display. It's was royal blue of the finest fabric. It was adorned with  black detailing and had a tight corset.

"I think you would look ravishing  in that. Wouldn't you agree Sebastian?" Ciel  said pointing to it with his cane.

"Only one way to find out," Sebastian said opening the door for them.

Ciel had instructed the dresser to not just dress lily but also accessorize her. Ciel sat patiently in a velvet chair. After many minutes of waiting and complaints from Ciel, the changing curtain opened to reveal a stunning sight.
She looked perfect. The dress clung to her in all the right places. Her hair had been placed in a flowering bun pined back with a beaded blue rose hair pin. Elbow high gloves covered soft hands.

"Well I think you look perfect," Ciel said standing circling around her.

"You flatter me. Farther your verdict?" She said turning to her father.

"My dear you could are absolutely stunning in anything you wear." Giving a fatherly smile.
Just like your mother

"Very well then," Ciel said going to pay but lily held out her arm to stop him.

"Ah ah ah Ciel we're not done," she sitting him back in the chair.

Lily walked over and whispered into the sales woman's ear. She left and returned with a matching suite.
"Put it on," she demanded pointing with a snap to the dressing curtain. Huffing to himself, Ciel followed her orders with Sebastian in tow.
Shortly they returned with Ciel now dressed in the formal suite.  It was dark but had the same royal blue color.

"Very handsome. Now we match," she  said looking their image on the long mirror. Indeed they looked very handsome standing  together.

"Then I'll take this as well," Ciel said going to pay the owner.  They were just leaving when a blur of pink tackled Ciel.

"CIEL!!!!"  Said a girl in pink. Ciel flailed trying to escape her grasp. She spun him around like a rag doll.

"Ugh lizzy let go!" He said pealing her off of him.

"Oh it's so good to see you! I'm just here to pick a dress for the trancy ball. Where you invited?" She asked.

"Yes I was," he said blankly fixing his wrinkled jacket.

"Yay! We can dance together all night," she said spinning him all around, "I simply can't wait!"

Waving good bye she rushed into the the store. Ciel climbed into the waiting carriage. Sebastian packed the boxes on the top.

The carriage started back home.

"She seems...nice?" Lily said not knowing how to feel about the cream puff, "friend of yours?"

"Actually fiancée," he said bluntly with a frown etched on his face. His head rested on his hand as he looked out the window. Seeing his reaction she understood.

"But you don't love her...do you?" Lily said turning away from him.

"Don't get me wrong I like Elizabeth but...no I don't love her," he said turn back to her.

"Unfortunate she seems to have a wonderful taste in color" she said letting out a suppressed giggle.

Ciel smirked smugly, "if you like every shade of pink that is,"

"I don't like pink, but I think," she said reaching over and lifting his  chin lightly with gloves fingers, "that you could look handsome in it"

Without warning he grabbed her hand, holding it gently in his own.
"Would you like me better in pink," he said strait face and still gripping her hand firmly.

Her fingers curled around his hand.
"No...I think you best in blue," she said quietly. Never in her life did she feel so oddly when around a man. He made a small pit form in her body that made her want physical touch.

The carriage stopped but they didn't move from each other. Only when the door opened did they quickly move away.

"Young master there is some work to be done. Would you like some tea and pastries while you work?" Sebastian asked helping Ciel out of the carriage.

"That's fine. Lily why don't you join me in my study." Ciel said grasping her hand as she stepped out of the carriage.

"My Master," she said placing a hand on his cheek, "How very generous. I think I will join you. I'll meet you there later but  I have some matters to attend to,"

Dragging her sharp finger nail across his chin playfully, she passed him and disappearing into the house.

Ciel let out a small groan that he apparently had been holding in.

"She is quiet a beauty isn't she young master" Sebastian said leaning in to whisper in ciels ear sending a shiver down his spine.

Clearing his throat he turned and briskly walked into the house, "Come on Sebastian there...there's work to do."

Hi everyone!
