Ryan and Danny [3] - Ryan's Point Of View

I cannot believe this!

Dave, Goldy and the rest are forcing me and this feather mammal to get to know each other... idiotic idea to be honest. They told me that they wanted a break from the school and had scheduled a bit of a break for them, though they insisted on me not going. tsk- I don't need to have their approval to join them!

Dave instructed me on how Danny is, saying that he's smart enough to get himself things other than opening doors and windows. Bullshit, utter bullshit; there's no way that this dumbass bird can do that like a human.

It was around half an hour since they had left for the break, I was sketching out a new idea for a new climber for my fellow students. I soon realized that the dumb fucking bird was watching me, he perched himself on my head like he owned the place! I paused to glare at him when he fluttered down to part of the sketch, mostly tapping towards the measurements of how tall the monkey bars would be. "Dumb fuck, get off my paper and leave me alon-" then as I looked down, I realized that the measurements jotted down were... wrong. I scoffed at him, pressing the eraser down and rewriting it while Danny just waddled away from me.

why did we agree to keep this damn bird?

When a full hour of me and Danny pasted, my stomach growled indecating that I was hungry. I pushed open the door, before stepping out Danny flew to my shoulder, I glared at him but continued walking away to the cafeteria.

We sat in silence... just me and this fucking bird.. how long is it till they come back?

I fixed myself some leftovers, getting the bird some seeds and other crap that birds eat like peanut butter. I sat ourselves at a table, me eating the leftovers while Danny seemed to pick at the seeds, no one was around; it was quiet... other than the sounds of us eating, almost too perfect-

The Lockdown pre-recorded message began playing over the loud speaker

this dragged me and the bird from our food, I panicked and ran over to behind the cafeteria's counter. Danny looked around for me I guess, when he saw me jump behind; he glided over towards me. Don't get me wrong, I love all animals but this bird had started making Dave base his life around it, he was starting to distance himself from us and it worried us all.

I heard the front door burst down, a heavy sounding person walking in upon it, I covered my mouth to muffle my breathing, Danny saw me doing this and pressed a wings to his beak to mimick me. Not gonna lie, it was kinda funny and cute but I wasn't gonna go out and admit that to everyone- including the intruder. I heard them start to walk around, moving things on Darla's desk then head into the main area, this better not be Dave and rest playing a sick prank on us or else I might be considering to expel him! Danny looked at me, his little bird eyes showed him to be scared, He stood up, opening his wings and started gliding off of the cabinet. I was silently screaming at him to come back but he just continued to waddle towards the opening, Danny flew up into mid-air and started distracting this criminal. He began screeching at them, queuing me to run away while he had their attention, I swung around the counter and ran between them. I heard the intruder yell to me, telling me to come back here but i didn't care, I ran out the door. I ducked behind a hedge and called the police, I had remembered that the back door was locked and all the other exits were locked as well, Danny flew out and I covered the doorway with the door to keep him in. 

Even if he wasn't that big, Danny pushed against the door with me, does he... does he still like me? Even after I... was rude and talked shit about him?

The police came not long after, We were sorta shaken up so I took him to my room. I grabbed my notebook and scribbled down the alphabet, placing it in front of Danny. I sat down across from him, slightly smirking "Thanks for distracting the intruder", Danny pecked at the letters N and P. I chuckled a bit "I know there's something weird about you... like your half human, animals don't just know human words and know human speech". Danny's fluff that formed ear looking things rose up before pecking at more letters:

"Wait, so what your saying is... your Danny, Danny the duck?" Danny's bird eyes sparkled and he bobbed his head up and down in excitement, I can't believe it... this is what happened to our old friend Danny the Duck... somehow turned into a bird
