Prabhu POV:

Finally, dad agreed to proceed with Nik and Aaras wedding. Convincing D is not a big task I guess. Mom and Tara mom has been in her room for past half an hour explaining her the gist of what happened in the house the entire day and the changes that the family has agreed upon

All of us are waiting in the first floor lobby for mom and Tara ma to know about Aaras decisions. Nik stop measuring the room for gods sake how could I not Prabhu. It has been like an hour since both of them went in

Nik they have to narrate the entire days event in a gist so that Aaras mental state is not disturbed in anyway... Moreover she needs sometime to accept everything dude, she will accept you so stop walking back and forth, and stop giving headaches to all of us because of that

All of us laughed at his behavior, him being nervous and a blabbering mess is new to all of us We spent the next few minutes by making fun of Nik. After what felt like hours but only after a few minutes both the moms came out of Aaras room with confused expressions plastered on their face

Dad was the first one to reach out to them followed by others while Nik clutched on my arm tightly and stood at the same place

What was her response Geetha? She just nodded her head for everything and listened to everything patiently, when we told her about all of our interest she said she would like to speak to Nik before giving her reply

Darn My sister really has the knack of making things more complicated just like the mini version of my dad. God this girl, when is she going to accept that she too likes him and when am I going to be freed from this octopus who is squeezing my hand like it is some fruit

I should stop being friends with him; he is really taking most of my energy and time worrying about my sister when she is doing fine and enjoying her day. It has been like this since the day he told me that he sees my sister differently

I still remember that day vividly; we were fighting like fools on the street after he confessed that he has feelings for my sister in front of some of our friends in the ground. It was during our high school when we got chances to attend advanced classes due to out smarty brains

We actually had a plenty of time in our hands than most of the kids at our age. He spent most of the spare time tagging along with Subbu mama while I spent mine in the grounds. He rarely tagged along and that day he came only to pick me up. With a group of teenagers in a place, the topics eventually diverted to girls and crushes

The moment he opened his mouth to describe his crush, I knew it was Aara instantly Rage and anger filled me Immediately, I was literally grinding my teeth until all of the boys dispersed and punched him directly across his face.

-A small Flashback-

How could you of all people do this Nikesh? Prabhu what is wrong with you and stop using your fist before telling me the reason. Oh now you will act all innocent ah! You want a reason right how about this, for having a crush on my sister, to be more precise your doll. Do you think I am that stupid Nikesh?

Calm down Prabhu; let us speak through this before you use your fist because even I am ready to win this fight-using fist. After throwing a few more punches at each other our fight came to a halt. Speak was the only word that came out from my mouth while both of where breathless after that fight.

I really do not know when I started to like her but Diya always brought this peace and warmth to my heart Prabhu. I dont know if you remember this or not, I picked fights even with you while playing with Diya. Somehow, I wanted her to spend her time only with me. Even my decision to move with dad was also for her.

Damm Prabhu I am serious and do not make fun of me. Let me see for how long this crush of yours is going to last Nikesh. Dude I am serious about this, I will be the one marrying your sister and she will be my wife. To become a worthy person for her I moved in with dad and am working my a*s off only for her.

-Back to Present-

The first time I heard him saying this it felt odd and funny for me to believe. I understood that his words were real when he stopped Aara's wedding preparation four years back and the moment he claimed his CEO position with most of the Board members favoring him.

After getting to know his thoughts, fear started filling my heart thinking about my sister who is oblivious of all this. Watching her closing made me understand that their feelings are mutual. While Nikesh is on full swing to make her his, she tries her best to control her feelings for him and hides it away. She is not even aware of the feelings she has for Nikesh I guess.

I thought she was treating all of us the same, but watching her closely I could differentiate things. With him she was all soft and caring while she goes all elder sister mode on Prani and me.

Unlike me, Prani read between the lines. He has been helping Nikesh since his middle school. After seeing all the efforts Nik has put in to pursue Aara, I was so touched and relieved that my sister will definitely have a wonderful future filled with love and happiness.

Though we had a spat initially when I heard the news, later I felt happy and comfortable because it was Nik, who is going to take care of my sister and not a stranger and she will stay with us forever...

I have a serious thinking to do regarding my friendship with Nik though😒😏😂
