The entire house was bawling their eyes out; even I had tears in my eyes seeing all of my loved ones crying. Mama made sure that Diya did not know about anything happening down here. Pranu also stayed with her while the whole family was weeping in the living room. After dads series of questions, Ravi mama was the first one to speak

For every sentence he spoke he added that he was about to destroy his own daughters life by marrying her to a trash like man. After an hour of consolation and lectures from my dad everyone was back to normal

Prabhu and I sat at the farthest corner of the living room watching my dad speaking to others in hushed tone and the rest of them nodding in response

After almost an hour Pranu walked down towards us with a confused expression plastered on his face. Bro everything has fallen into place right why are your guys sad? I asked him to shut his mouth by covering his mouth

Think before your speak Pranu, I kind off expected this to happen but the way it happened is not nice I dont want mama and mami to blame themselves for not selecting the best groom for their princess It is exactly the opposite of what I expected

Bro chill calm down and think of a plan to use this situation to pursue my sister. I glared at Prabhu for his careless response Man it is our family crying their hearts out blaming themselves. Prabhu hissed before replying Nik act like a business Giant make the situation favorable for you instead of worrying. Go to them, confess your love for Aara, and try your best to convince them From tomorrow, most of our relatives will start coming and possibilities of informing them about cancelling the wedding is like tarnishing my sisters name and her future. For the state they are in now, they would definitely accept you with some persuasion. Later we can convince Aara. Although all of his ideas sounded the best and the most possible ones I felt a bit hesitant.

After thinking for few more minutes, I just nodded my heads and fist bumped with the guys and walked to the center of the hall where everyone was seated. This will be my only chance even if this causes a mess; I am ready to handle them

Before I could speak, dad raised and stood in front of Ravi mama Ravi I am asking Aara for my son Nikesh. Everyones heads raised towards my dad including mine What is this old man planning?

Subbu what are you speaking? I am serious Ravi; give your daughter to my family as my sons wife and my daughter in law. Geetha what do you say? I know very well that your decision is more important than Ravis

I was stunned at my dads act! Anna I am at loss of words, but before she could complete her sentence dad continued, but what Geetha do you feel that my son is not competent to marry your daughter or something childish like their age

Man what happened to the quiet Subbu mama, Prabhu and Pranu were having the exactly same shocked expressions plastered on their faces Anna why would I think like that about our Nikesh, I raised him, I would be happy if he is going to marry my daughter again he interrupted before Gee mami could finish okay then what is there to hesitate in this Ravi.

Subbu are you making any sense. In what way am I not making sense Ravi! Ravi mama was stunned Anna what about the kids? We cannot accept anything without their consent. Geetha, I know Nik, Aara is the most important person to him in this entire world to make things clear let us ask him directly.

Just like movies all their heads turned towards me, Prabhu nudged at my sides, I coughed out first before speaking. Mami I like Diya a lot actually I love her, even Ravi mama knows about my thoughts and had warned me I do not know how to confess this properly to the elders and Diya so I stayed silent at the sides

Nik are you serious, Ravi have you been hiding something like this from the family. Now the attention changed from me to mama, Geetha how could I bring up this topic, this could have brought a rift in our family

Where can we find a guy who will take care of our daughter more that Nik Geetha think before you speak look at their age differences. Ravi most of them are getting married with an age differences of more than 15 years too, so do not bring up that silly reason. Even if you are happy with all of this, I am against this Geetha. The entire family including me took turns in persuading Ravi mama for almost an hour but nothing turned out well. Finally, dad made the last comment, okay Ravi since you do not want all this, tell me how you are going to stop all the relatives from reaching our doorstep.

It is almost 10PM now most of them are on their way, within 3 to 4 hours everyone will come one by one. How will you manage them? How will you answer their questions? How will you stop them from spewing nonsense about our Aara?

Answer Annas questions Ravi, what will you do and how are we going to face this. Only silence remained in the entire house, mama had no answer for any of dads or Geetha mamis questions.

The entire house once again fell in silence; Prabhu started making happy faces towards me while Pranu went upstairs again to stay with Diya I never knew that the whole family would accept my love for Diya; I expected Ravi mamas reaction with the others too.

Like a magic everything fell into place making everyone agree on one except Ravi mama. After 15 solid minutes Ravi mama spoke Let us proceed if that is what all of you want only if Aara agrees to this
