Narrators POV:

As soon as Prabhu parked his car in their portico, he walked inside his house and searched for his dad. He screamed for his mother and found her in the kitchen preparing lunch alone. Mom is dad back at home. Where are the others?

Hey Prabhu, you are back from office, didnt you see your dad in the company. He is still out I guess. He will be back in an hour I think, others have gone to Taras colleagues wedding. Oh okay mom, call me as soon as dad comes home. I will join both of you for lunch mom. With that, Prabhu walked upstairs towards his room to fall into his dreams again.

Ravi was emotionally drained regretting the words he spoke to the one person who still lives for his dead sister even when most of them in their family moved on. He was tearing himself repeatedly thinking about the words he spoke to Subbu.

After a lot of emotional battle Ravi reached home and searched for Geetha immediately to inform her about the situation and the mistake he did. As soon as Ravi found Geetha in the kitchen, he asked her to come to their room immediately.

Geetha was worried looking at Ravis state and his feeble tone. Ravi what happened? You are scaring me. Geetha I did the biggest mistake of my life. Ravi calm down, take a seat at the couch and have this glass of water before speaking.

Ravi gulped down the glass of water and told everything from the start to finish without letting Geetha interrupt him in between his confessions. She was stunned with a mortified expression on her face. Why is this all happening in our family? This was her first comment before she broke into tears.

Why did you ignore Niks feelings in the first place Ravi? Why did Subbu Anna do this? He could have confided with us, now everything is a mess. I dont know what will Ram and Tara think about this when they get to know. Our Aara is there, now I have confusions whether this decision to marry her to Nik was right or not. Geetha what are you talking about? She would be happiest there just like the princess she is here. Happier than ever. I do not think so Ravi, I am scared.

Mom you need not worry, D is happier than she would be here. She is in the hands of someone who chiseled his life only for her. Both of them starred at him in shock. Prabhu you cannot take Niks side even in this situation, it is your sisters life on line. Subbu Anna should have not done that.

Then what else do you expect him to do mom? Dad has been warning Nikky to never disclose his feelings to Aara or anyone else of the family. Mama has been watching him suffer all these years only for her. Any loving father would do this only. Have you ever seen Nikesh goofing around like me, he has not once been happy for himself. To him happiness was only Akka.

That guy would even step out of any important work just to attend her call. That is how much he loves her. And Akka never showed interest in the concept of getting married. Has Aara ever suggested anything while you all were searching for groom, all she would ask was if Nikky knew this or not.

Knowingly or unknowingly, she depended on Nikky for most of her life decisions. Prabhu did you know about Nikeshs love all this while.

Prabhu went silent for a while before answering, mom I am always stuck to him how will I not know. If dad showed some signs of approval, we would have not taken the tough route. Have you lost your senses Prabhu? You guys could have confided with me or Ram appa. I would have definitely tried to convince the entire family for this.

All of you did whatever you felt right to your mind. Prabhu tried convincing his mom who was a crying mess while Ravi was lost in thoughts with trails of tears running down from his eyes.

Prabhu finally succeeded in convincing Geetha. Geetha came back to her normal self and tried consoling Ravi who was crying non-stop.

Ravi everything is over, as long as Aara and Nikesh are happy this is okay. But what am I going to do over the words I spilled to him Geetha was his reply. I still vividly remember the look he gave me when I spoke those words.

All of them had no answer for this question. The silence prevailed in the house for the next few hours as Prabhu was helpless. Finally, Pranu walked in after school searching for his Gee ma.

Prabhu was the first one to compose himself and told Pranu about the happenings of the day as he could convince his dad because of the bond they share as a father son than him. Pranu walked inside the room, sat in front of his Ravi appa, and spoke to him.

Appa, mama would be sad but he would also be waiting for you even now. So stop worrying over this and freshen up we will go meet mama. Just like Prabhu thought Pranu resolved this.

Pranu, what will Ram and Tara comment on this. Geetha ma let us just close this topic for now and leave it. Everyone knows that Nikesh bro loved Akka for so long and appa was against it. That is enough story I think, let us not hurt mama again because I dont know how dad will react.

All of them nodded in response and was about to get ready to visit Subbu but Ram and Tara was back home. Therefore, they decided to drop this plan for now. While Prabhu and Pranu sat in their room discussing about the happenings of the day.
