Zeus POV

I'm in my office with Jordan and Felipe finishing up some paperwork for the pack before I leave to go visit my cousin Miguel in California so he can help redo a contract between my pack and a pack from California, he has always done a very good job with it although he has always said that I should be giving thanks to his secretary and not him since she is the one who takes the notes of everything that is said during the meeting and then writes the contract for us to sign so this time I am going to be giving her the proper thanks she so much deserved. As we are finishing the paperwork the boys start to play around which was normal for us after finishing the paperwork. When I finished signing the last paperwork I put it in the envelope and put it in the filing cabinet when there was a knock on the door and everyone stopped playing around.

"Come in" I say

"Zeus can we talk please" my father asks

"Sure dad, what is it" I ask

"Well me and your mom want to talk to you about your mate" he says

"What is it that you need to talk to me about my mate who you both know I haven't found yet" I say somewhat annoyed

"Well we think it's about time you chose a mate since you haven't found yours yet" mom says

"You both know that I will never do that I am planning a trip to California to redo a contract with a pack from there and then I plan to stay there for awhile and see if I can find my mate" I say

"But if you don't find her then you choose one or we will choose her for you" dad says

"Fine but if I don't like the mate you chose for me you will let me choose my own mate no matter how long it takes" I say

"We can agree to that" mom says

When they left I told the boys to get everything ready to go to California and visit the pack we have there and the other pack that we will be re-doing the contract with, they all head out of my office and into their rooms to get their things ready to go as soon as possible to California. While I was still in my office I called my cousin and told him that I will be in California in a few hours. He told me that he would be there to pick us up at the airport as soon as we landed before we hung up.

I went to my room and started to pack some of my work clothing as well as some of my regular clothing to go out with the boys. Once I was done packing I grabbed my suitcase and headed down stairs where the boys were already waiting for me, we placed our suitcases in the trunk of the car and we headed to the airport. When we got there the pilot told us that they were ready to leave whenever we were , I told him to start the engine so we could leave while I called my cousin before our departure telling him that we would be landing within the next hour or so.

When we arrived in California my cousin was already waiting for us, we got down hugging my cousin before he shook the guys hands. We all got in the car and we drove to the pack lands where we were greeted with joy as well as love like always. I said hello to our friends and went into the pack house where we left our things in our rooms before we all met in my office. We agreed that we would meet in his office on Friday afternoon once everybody left for the day which I agreed, he did say that his secretary knew he was a werewolf as well as some of our pack members were friends with her and if I wanted she could stay so she could do the contract as soon as our meeting was over. This way I could have the rest of my days off and not have to worry about going back in to the company if I didn't want to but I told him that I wasn't in a hurry to go back to New York so I didn't care how fast or how slow she worked it was all good for me.

After the meeting we went out to eat at a restaurant near his company that according to him had very good food and we would love it, once we got there this amazing scent of cherry blossoms hit me like a brick wall making me start to look around the restaurant hoping to see where it was coming from to no success. My cousin asked what was wrong and the only word that I thought I would never say came out of my mouth "MATE" which made everybody look at me with big smiles on their faces, my cousin asked if I was sure to which I said yes but I couldn't see her or anyone turning around which meant that either she couldn't smell me or she was already gone but I knew she was or had been here because I could smell her in this restaurant. My cousin then said that maybe she works in his company which brought a big smile to my face, we ended up sitting and eating before we headed home to sleep since tomorrow would be a long day for everybody.
