Lupes POV

The song "I'll be missing you" by  Diddy could be heard in my room as my alarm goes off to get up and get ready for work. I grab my phone and go to the bathroom to take a shower before going into my closet and putting on one of my work uniforms. As I walk to my sister's room to wake her up I go through my emails and make sure I had sent all the meeting appointments to my boss Mr. De La Vega, I have been working for him for the past five years and it was the perfect job for me because it allowed me to go to college online at night and while I was on my lunch break which helped me to the position I am right now.

"Maria time to get up or we will both be late" I say

"Yeah I'm up, I'm almost done getting ready" she says

"I'm going to go make breakfast, what do you want to eat" I asked

"I just want some fruit and yogurt" she says

"Eggs, bacon and toast it is" I say

I walked down the stairs as I heard my sister say that that wasn't what she wanted but she would end up eating it anyway. Once in the kitchen I went to the fridge and got the eggs, bacon and the butter out. I then head to the cabinets and get the bread before heading to the counter top and set everything on it. I get two pans out and start cooking the bacon and the eggs. When the eggs and bacon were done I put the bread in the toaster and started to serve our plates as I heard my sister walking down the stairs. When she gets to the kitchen she sits down and we eat our breakfast in silence.

"Maria please try not to get into trouble today, I got a lot of work today and I can't go get you understand" I say

"Yes, I understand but last time wasn't my fault Lupe. That bitch shouldn't have talked like that about mom or dad, she was asking for the beating that I gave her" she says

"I know but try try to be the mature one and walk away today if she starts anything okay" I say

"Fine, I will do my best" she says

"That's all I ask for" I say

When we finish eating we place our dishes on the dish washer and we turn it on, we head to the front door and we grab our things for the day. While I closed and locked the house door Maria headed to the car and got in the passenger seat. I walked to the driver's side and placed my stuff in the back seat of my car before I got in and drove my sister to school before I headed to the De La Vega Industries. Once I got to the company I parked my car on my parking space and head inside straight for the elevator, when the elevator doors open I get in and press the button for floor number thirty-four to get to Mr. De La Vega's office where I need to make sure that everything is ready for all the meetings Mr. De La Vega is going to have today.

By lunchtime Mr. De La Vega has had three meetings and he still has three more to go, the last one is very important and since it needs more time and attention I decided it would be best if we did it last that way we would be able to get out of here by four so I could have time to go get my sister from school. By the time two came around I start to go get the meeting room ready for the last meeting of the day which is the last one and more important than the ones earlier today, when I have everything ready I make sure that Mr. De La Vega is ready for the meeting and has already reviewed all the notes that I had placed on his desk regarding the details of the meeting and other important notes that he would need to be able and get through this meeting.

It is three thirty and the meeting should be over by now so I start to make sure everything is ready for me to leave, I walk in to Mr. De La Vega's office and place the new contract that he has to review and sign or place whatever notes of what he would like me to change before he signs them. As I am walking out of his office I start to see the door of the meeting room opening and I head to my desk as fast as I can before anyone saw me, I say goodbye to everybody that came to the meeting before I turn to Mr. De La Vega and tell him that I had placed the new contract on his desk, he hands me the envelope that most likely contains the contract that was supposed to be signed today before he tells me to go home, have a good day and to say hi to my sister for him which I tell him that I will do before he walks back to his office, closes the door and I grab my things to head out and pick up my sister from school.
