A noise of tight slap echoed throughout the room, the music stop and silence erupt in the room. Jenny cuss under her breath, completely stun with the scene pull out before her. Jen's face reddened, a spark of anger flash in her eyes, I slowly rub my cheek.

"When a woman says no you need to stop, respect her word" she lashes out pointing a finger. She is shaking with the rage, her voice is deep, brimming with the anger.

"Thank god you didn't make any move on her, or it would be you at the receiving point" Jenny slowly mumble into my ears, Jenny's voice jolts me out of my thoughts. Freak man, I was day dreaming about our kiss and I actually thought, it was me who got slapped. Quickly I remove my hand from cheek and glare to the guy who is fuming at Jen.

"You" With furious growl he launch himself at Jen, without wasting a moment I jump into the fight.

"Don't you dare" I curl my hand into fist as I watch him, defiant in the face of my most threatening glare.

"I don't need your help, I can handle this by myself" Jen complained with a big frown at her face, what's her problem. I scowl at her, and turn my focus on that guy, definitely this is not time to argue with her.

The guy looks flush under the number of accusing eyes, he looks down with the embarrassment.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to frighten your girlfriend, it's just harmless fun" the guy raise his arms in defends and mutter his apology.

"Excuse me, I'm not his girlfriend and it wasn't funny at all" Jen interrupted again, she needs to shut her mouth.'

'Oh..I'm sorry again, I thought...anyway" with those words he walk away from us and get vanish in the crowd.

The music starts again, we are still standing in mid of the crowd, looking furiously at each other. Suddenly, a pair of hand approaches us.

"Wow, Ms. Davis that was cool" Jenny chirp like a fangirl, she slip her arms around her neck and kiss her cheek, I guess it's not her but it's the alcohol in her system. The expression of Jen's face is priceless, she is beyond being astounded. Jenny starts moving on the number forcing Jen as well to move, it's quite annoying. Fury and irritation is subtle on Jen's face, she is trying to fetch Jenny from the dance floor but stubborn Jenny doesn't budge a bit. I know its bad but I'm enjoying Jen's uneasiness. Shaking my head, I try to walk away from them but Jenny grabs my arm and flash me her mischievous grin, I smell trouble here.

While swaying her hips in the tune, she removes her arm from Jen and walk seductively closer to me. She flung her arms around my neck and moves her body in the flirtiest manner. I have a feeling she is consciously doing it to make Jen jealous, I turn my gaze to Jen who is staring us with a scowl on her face, and the idea of paly along is most enticing but I decided against it.

"Jenny, what are you doing?" I hold her shoulders making some space between us.

"What do you think I'm doing, I'm dancing...genius" she answered narrowing her eyes at me as if I'm dumb to ask this at first place.

Jen just shake her head and start walking away from us.

"it's look like someone is jealous, you can thank me later" Jenny mumble into my ears, it may look very intimate scene from afar for people but this is quite irritating for me.

"Shut up and let's go" I pull her through the crowd grabbing her arm.

"I'm just helping you stupid, if you are not making any move on her then at least try to have her attention" she yanks her arms from me and folds it near across her chest.

"I didn't ask for your help, so mind your own business Jenny" I snarl at her, she storm her feet and turn on her heels to bar, not before throwing her harsh comment.

"You men and your big ego...don't regret later when she will choose someone over you" and that hurt like a bitch, she is right somehow. Staying quite would not help me to get her back but what should I do? It would be easy for old Rick, that Rick would have pull Jen to him and claim her as his but I don't want to be that Rick who has only cause pain to my Jen. I want to be different for Jen, I want her to want me again and I'm not seeing any sign of this happening soon.. this thought impale a huge pain in my chest.

Jen has changed, actually change for a good. The afraid and timid Jen turns into a feisty one. I'm feeling so proud of her the way she slapped that guy, she has learn to take her stand.

I look around in the crowd for Jen, I couldn't find her in the room, I wanted to walk out to find her then again I cannot leave Jenny when she is little high. An exasperated sigh escape from my mouth, I walk over to the guard and instructed him to watch over Jenny after paying him handsome amount which could be double of his monthly income.

I have searched her outside in the lawn, near dining area, even I have checked her in the ladies room but she was nowhere and this make me scared. I'm worried, what if that guy has done something to her? No..this cannot be possible, without wasting a moment I barge into the security room and ask for the surveillance's footage to find her.

I put hands in the pocket of my jacket, taking a huge sigh of relief when I saw Jen entering her room safely. In my panic state, I forgot to check her room, I felt stupid for overreacting. The security team are giving me their bitter glare that accuse me of wasting their time but being me, I stare them back saying it's your duty. I keep my cool and walk out with head high without saying thanks, feeling triumphant.

By the time I got the call from the guard that Jenny passed out after taking too much drink, what's her problem? She always ready to play and laugh around but when you leave her alone, she become sad and lost in her misery. Maybe she is missing Ryan, damn I feel like I'm here to babysit two rebellious women. You don't need to die to feel hell because this is right here.

I lift jenny up over my shoulder and carry her to her room, I growl in frustration of thinking how Jen might react? The last I remember, she saw me dancing with Jenny and now I'm carrying her on my shoulder but do I have any choice...alright, I knock her door.

The door bust open and Jen appear on my face looking beautiful in her knee length nighty, my eyes check her from her toe to head almost forgetting the bizarre situation, it has been long I have seen her in her night attire.

"What happened to her?" her worried voice broke my train of thoughts, she shot me her most ugly look.

"She passed out" I briskly replied not aware of that my words can work against me.

"All courtesy goes to you right, for making her drunk" she blame me again without hearing a word. Her pupils dilate with a heat so hotly that I actually get nervous.

"Yep, what could be the other reason, even if the storm come or the earthquake, in your eyes I can only the one to blame for, right" I sarcastically retort, she rolled her eyes to me, gosh this infuriating girl.

"Put me do...down..I'm feeling..my stomac.." Jenny stammer sloppily, Jen and I share a look of horror as we know what is coming next, thankfully she give me space to enter the room. However, to my lucky start, it's too late and Jenny puke all over me. Aghhh..disgusting...

Jen hurriedly come over me when I put her down on her feet, instead of taking her to bathroom, she rub Jenny's back and help her to empty her stomach not bothering about me. Gross..ewww.. the smell is making me to throw up all over myself. Once, Jenny looks content after throwing up, Jen ask me to hold her for a while and run to get water for Jenny.

"Are you ok?" she caringly asked to Jenny who just nods her head absentmindedly after taking sip of cold water.

"Now, whose fault is this?" I have annoyingly spited out.

"Off course, yours" she replied looking straight into my eyes and continued "if you would have not let her drink this much, she would have been fine" she snarl at me.

"Ms. Jennifer Davis, you are crossing your..ewww" Jenny emptied her stomach again and I crunch my nose in disgust. Jen put her hand across over mouth and look at me with the wide open eyes. Jenny put her head on my shoulder passing out again and I shrug my shoulder helplessly.

"Can you take her to bathroom, I will change her clothe" she said nicely this time.

"I reckon you are self-dependent woman and can help yourself" I furrow my brow at her.

"That I'm" she answered giving me her stern stare.

"This is a wise idea, there is no point in getting myself dirty when someone is already smudge with the puke" She pretend to be casual when I caught her brief smile on her lips, she is holding her laugh and I swear this has warm my heart.

"Really?" I raise my brow at her and continue "Being a generous man, which I am.. I will help you but you have to use magical word" I give her my half smug smile, she know she won't be able to take Jenny alone to the bathroom when she is totally passed out. Taking a while for thinking, she stare me back with the look of submission.

"Mr. Adam, can you please help me?" I give her a winning smirk and lift Jenny on my shoulder and take her to the fresh room. I put her on the edge of bathtub, Jen came forward to help Jenny. Dumbly I stay there to clean myself but not before Jen interrupted.

"You can clean yourself later, let me change her clothe first." She complained.

"I'm stinking" I squeal in frustration.

"You can use your room" she snap back.

"I can't go like this with full of puke and get my room stinking as well" she shake her head and rub thumb over her temple.

"Fine, just give me few minutes to get her change then you can clean yourself" at last I agreed and once she changed jenny's clothe, she called me inside and allowed me to clean myself. Jenny look little better, Jen brushed her teeth and change her into pyjamas. She can barely walk but Jen manage to get he on the bed.

I came out of the bathroom with the bare chest, I wipe my shoulder looking at Jen who is tucking Jenny on her bed with affection.

"I always thought you hate her, why the change of heart?" I couldn't stop myself for asking, their equation is strange. They always seem hungry for each other's blood, though this is in Jen's nature to care.

"She reminds me so much of Scarlet" Jen smiles affectionately watching Jenny sleep and not aware that she replied my question. Scarlet...this is a sour topic for us. She closed her eyes when she realized what she said, she direct her gaze on me, her cheek turn red observing my upper naked body and quickly she turn her head.

I cleared my throat "I think I should leave now" though I don't want to leave, I could trade anything to be with her and talk to her entire night, I miss this.

"You are leaving like this?" she hesitantly ask, pointing to my bare chest.

"What's wrong in it? I don't mind to expose myself" I cheekily replied and open the door. I find few ladies are walking into the passage who are openly checking out me, I smirk while walking out.

"Mr. Adam, stop" She call me from behind, I look back to her, Jen throw a bathrobe on me and her eyes threatening me to better put it on without argument and I arrest my case. She cross her hand across her chest turning her furious glare on the ladies, they look fluster but they silently went to their rooms. I smile on her naivety, she will always be my sweet innocent Jen though she is trying hard to hide her real self.

"Goodnight Jen" Her eyes met mine for a while, she blink her eyes in confusion before closing her room on my face. I know she would regret, for this our little moment and for the exchange of our unsaid words. She should know that I can happily oblige her every command without any complaint because I love her and I hope one day she would feel the same for me..
