Author's pov

"Melon, I won't be always there to take care of you, so you have to learn how to take care of yourself.."

He said being genuinely concerned for you which made you somehow sad because it was going to be hard for you to be away from him but you were in no place to do anything so you chose to stay silent and slightly nodded at his words because everything he spoke was only for your own good.

Soon, you two started eating while talking and laughing about random topics, enjoying each other's company.

Your one hand had filled with food, one had a gilgeori and the other had roasted marshmallows. While you were busy devouring your food, his eyes were stuck on you and was smiling from time to time seeing you being cute while eating.

"Mhmm.. gilgeori toast is so yummy." You closed your eyes enjoying its taste making the other chuckle at your adorable pout. You opened your eyes and shifted your gaze to him and an automatic smile plopped on your lips just by seeing him smiling.

"You have sauce on your nose." He said pointing at your nose making you show him your hands which were filled with food.

"My hands are full.." You shrugged.

"Come closer," You knitted your brows in confusion but anyway you moved your face closer to him. He then took out his handkerchief from his pocket and wiped the sauce from your nose.

"It's done." He said, drawing his hand back, keeping his handkerchief back in his pocket whereas you also moved back to your previous sitting position and faced him as you passed him with your cute smile.

"Thank you.." You uttered and faced down when you saw people staring at your table.

Look at them they are so cute..

She's lucky to have a caring boyfriend..

He's such great boyfriend material..

They are indeed a perfect couple..

You heard whispers of people who were looking at you two, you were trying hard to control your smile as you looked down shyly to face him because you were sure that he had heard them too.

"How's your dad now?" He asked trying not to make you feel awkward by those people's stares which worked perfectly when you gave attention to his question.

"His condition is still not well." You lowly said and again faced down looking at your lap, just then you felt his hand on yours, softly brushing your knuckles with his thumb trying to comfort you which made you look at your hand and then at him.

"Have faith in God. He'll get better soon, hmm?" He softly reassured that made you slightly nod your head, flashing a genuine smile towards him which he returned immediately.

"I hope so." He nodded as he relished his hand back.

"So, did you find any job yet? You know that I can help you--"

"I already found one and will be officially joining it from tomorrow." You answered cutting him off in between that made him show his eye smile to you as he was happy for you.

"Wow! Congratulations. Btw, what job is it?" He asked sipping the vanilla shake while his eyes were fixed on you.

"They said my first 6 months would be the proficiency period as I am unknown to their business world, and after that, I will get the position that I am capable of." You elaborated while taking a sip of your vanilla shake in between.

"That's great. The clauses sound like a company rule so, did you get your job in a company?" He questioned when he found those clauses quite familiar. You hummed in reply and kept the empty glass of vanilla shake on the table.

"Ohh yes, I got a job in Kim Emirates."

You proudly voiced out with a smile but your answer made him widen his eyes in surprise and he mistakenly choked on the shake.

You immediately gave him the water when he started coughing. You stood up from your chair and walked behind him patting his back.

"Are you fine?" You asked with concern.

"Yes..yes, I am fine." He replied once he got back to normal making you release a sigh of relief.

"Ohh shoot!! We are should hurry now otherwise we'll get late." You exclaimed when you checked the time on your wristwatch.

"Come let's go.." You immediately picked up your belongings whereas he furrowed his brows.

"Did you pay the bill?"

"Yes, I already did. Now come let's go." You started to walk leaving him behind.

"Why did you? I could--" He spoke as he started following you from behind.

"Ayee.. it's fine. Those weren't expensive." You shrugged walking ahead of him but he felt bad as he knew your family condition wasn't that good.

"But still, at least you--" He again spoke but halted in the middle when you placed your forefinger on his lips shutting him from speaking further, not knowing when you touched him, he felt a hard shiver run through his whole body and his heart started pounding so bad but he didn't show it instead kept looking at you in disbelief.

"Now please keep silent.." You requested and drew your hand back.

"Let's go.. we are getting late." You grabbed his hand and started walking fast leading towards the place whereas he was just staring at your hand which was locked with his.

Meanwhile,

Stepping out of the driver's seat, Chanyeol unlocked the door of the passenger's seat like a gentleman and helped his wife, Jisoo to come out. She blushed at his gentle behavior toward her and this was what made her fall for him more and more.

"I can't believe you have come with us to see fireworks." She spoke up smiling in delight when she found Taehyung stepping out from the backseat of his car.

"I haven't come here to see fireworks but for you, Sis."

He nonchalantly replied as he locked the door and fixed his suit whereas she just shook her head in disbelief.

"Noona, it's so crowded here." Jungkook asserted as he also came near them from the other side of the car while observing the crowd of people here and there.

"Brother-in-law, this is not one of your private places but a public, so it is justified to be crowded, isn't it?"

Chanyeol told as he softly patted his shoulder with a smile making the other nod at his words.

"And on top of that, there is also a show of Fireworks tonight." Jisoo lightly laughed as she observed her surroundings.

"Now c'mon let's go," Chanyeol announced as he clasped his wife's hand with his making her feel butterflies in her tummy. Soon, Taehyung and Jungkook followed them from behind while heading inside the Han river.

Once they reached, Jisoo was smiling ears to ears admiring the sight of the Han river, and its bridge was decorated with neon lighting making it look more ethereal.

"It looks so fascinating." She commented as she emerged in the view.

"Indeed.." Jungkook and Chanyeol replied agreeing to her words with a nod whereas Taehyung stood unbothered not at all minding his surrounding as if he was forced to be there, well where was the lie? He was present there only for his sister.

"Ahh.. it's so cold." She murmured as she rubbed her palms together which took the attention of Taehyung. Well, she didn't think that temperature would cool down more during the night that was why she only had a thin piece of the cardigan on.

"Why are you so careless, sis?"

He sternly scolded her as he removed his blazer from his body and placed it on her shoulder but she instantly took it off and forwarded it to him to take it back which made him glare at her for being stubborn.

"Taehyung, take it back. I don't feel that cold, I can endure it." She flashed a  smile ensuring that she was really fine but whom she was even saying. He was the king of stubbornness.

"Don't be stubborn. I don't want you to get sick."

He grabbed his blazer from her hand and again put it back on her shoulder covering her petite figure.

"Mrs. Park, just listen to him." Chanyeol brushed her hair softly making her sigh and then finally nodded her head.

"What about you then?" She worriedly glanced at him.

"I've my thermals on."

He answered as he shoved his hands inside his formal suit pants pockets whereas she felt bad for not wearing her thermals.

"Mrs. Park, did you bring the camera?" He asked as he tossed his head to look at her side.

"Shit! I forget it in the car itself." She cursed when she remembered that she forget to bring it with her.

"Oh god! Seriously how could you forget it." He internally rolled his eyes at her with irritation, luckily his action didn't get noticed by Taehyung otherwise only God knew what would have happened.

"Brother-in-law, give me the keys."

Taehyung demanded as he faced him who was standing beside Jisoo, in short, she was in the middle of both while Jungkook stood beside Taehyung.

"Brother, I can bring it," Jungkook suggested as he understood why he was asking for it.

"No, you stay here with them." He voiced out determined to go by himself, so nodding his head, Jungkook kept quiet whereas Chanyeol handed the car keys to him.

Taking the keys in his hand, he turned back to go to the place where Chanyeol had parked the car but halted when he found his sister grabbing his arm making him turn back to her with a quizzical look.

"Be back soon. I don't want you to miss this." She softly whispered earning a slight nod from him. He again turned back and strode towards the area where his car was parked.

"Thank god, we reached a little early." You voiced up as you stopped your legs, catching your breath from running so long to reach there.

"Are we having a han river date now?"

He enquired as he smiled after taking a glance at his surroundings and then looked back to you making you turn to him with a wide grin agreeing to his question.

"Yup, and this is my favorite spot. I come here once in a while with Minjee to enjoy our time." You chirped happily reminiscing the memories which you created with her.

"You know the good thing is that today there's a show of fireworks." You looked ahead and then back at him making him nod.

"When will it start?" He asked as he turned to you.

"In around 10 minutes I guess." You answered when you checked the time on your wristwatch.

"Will you wait for me at the entrance? I'll be back soon." You looked at him perplexed but anyways you nodded.

"Uhmm.. sure but be back soon." He gave you his mesmerizing eye smile and turned back while walking like a cute duck making you release a laugh at his cute behavior. Who can say that he's 27..

You stopped your laugh and took out your phone from your handbag thinking to call your mother but as soon as you opened the lock, the screen started glitching. What can I even expect from this old phone..

"This all happened because of that jerk Mr. Kim Taehyung." You cursed him under your breath as you put your phone back inside your handbag.

Closing your eyes, your mind suddenly drifted over the moments of your very first kiss with him no.. It was the forced one. But the thing which was making you angry with yourself that why weren't you feeling angry. He was such a horrible man. No.. no, he was a devil, a monster to you. He was rude, he was nasty, and he'd been autocratic and terrible to you from the moment you two met.

It wasn't as though you didn't know about kissing and such things, and you had always thought you would meet a perfect man, a man who would marry you, and then on your wedding day, after taking vows with him, facing each other while in your white wedding gown, he'd lift the net veil off your face, just like in the movies, and kiss you.. for the first time. But that Kim Taehyung ruined everything.

"Oh god! Why your mind starts thinking about anything at any time.?Now, why are you thinking about that devil here." You whispered scolding yourself for thinking about him.

"Today is a good day, Y/n. Don't spoil your mood thinking about him."

You mummed to yourself trying to distract your mind from again thinking about him.

"If I see that jerk again, I'll surely kill him."

You clenched your teeth and cursed him with every profanity you could remember, under your breath as you turned back to walk to the entrance but instead you walked into someone.

Taehyung who was coming from the opposite direction, his hand instinctively reached out to steady the person who had collided with him.

You came up ready to yell at the person for being so careless. But saw him, Kim Taehyung making you go still with shock and surprise to see him there whereas he was oddly struck too.

Your mind then suddenly started playing flashbacks of yesterday that made you take a couple of steps backward but couldn't as he stood there holding your arm, and once he realized he let it go.

You make to walk past him but then,

"Angel.." His voice sounded gentle as he turned back looking at you from behind, but you were in no mood to even stand in the same place as him. Rejecting his call, you thought to walk but again he called you.

"Angel, you--"

"Listen, Mr . Kim Taehyung, I don't want to talk to you so please go." You snapped back emphatically, angrily almost.

And added, "And please don't call me by that name in front of everyone I hate it."

"Shut up.." He hissed giving you his deadly stare but your anger was at its peak to even notice his stare.

"You shut up Mr . Kim Taehyung."

You spat back while having riveting eye contact with him, your temper had gone beyond a point by then and he was shocked to see this side of yours.

"You-"

You cut him off in the middle with a mocking chuckle,

"You know what, I know very well why are you here. You followed me here to take revenge right..? Revenge for slapping you.."

"What rubbish!" He scoffed, his voice was rough while the rage flared in his being.

"You're rubbish and your whole fam--"

You stopped, clamped your hand over your mouth, and shockingly looked up at him when you realized what were you going to say. You didn't mean to insult his whole family, but your tongue was running way ahead of your brain which was a big mistake. Shit!

"How dare you, Ms. Lee Y/n?"

His voice was rough, and clenching his jaws, he stepped closer to you, his piercing eyes looking inside your soul. You gulped your saliva and instantly took a step backward afraid of him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to utter those--"

He roughly grabbed your right arm and scooted you closer to him with rage in his eyes making your body to be filled with horror.

"Have you forgotten whom you are shouting at? Have you forgotten how far this man can go, Ms. Lee Y/n?"

He rasped through his gritted teeth which made you remind about those two horrible nights of your life. You shifted your eyes downward as you were unable to hold his intimidating gaze on you. He tugged you hairs behind your ear and then moved his face closer to your ear making you close your eyes in fear.

"You know what you're lucky I am still being nice to you now. If anyone dares to raise their voice against me, then this Kim Taehyung doesn't even give them the chance to apologize."

He warned in his husky dark intimidating voice, and then moved back but his gaze was still fixed on your face whereas your heartbeat rate pulsated feeling scared around him.

You opened your lashes and tried to reach his hand which was holding your arm but stopped when he grabbed that hand and opened your fisted palm which made you look at his action confused.

"I called you to give you this which you dropped just a moment before but who knew you would start throwing your nonsense at me.."

He concluded as he placed your bracelet on your palm and stepped back letting your arm go from his hold and created a safe distance between you two. Your gaze shifted to look at your bracelet with your doe teary eyes.

"And one more thing, I wasn't here for you nor do I want to take any kind of revenge from you. And if I had to take revenge, I would have taken it last night itself.."

He confessed while his gaze was blankly fixed on your petite figure. You finally gathered your courage and glanced at him with your watery eyes, his anger instantly dissipated the moment his eyes fell into yours and a guilty feeling took over him. I again hurt her..

Not wanting his eyes to show any kind of emotions to you, he fastly turned his back to you with a world of emotion in his eyes. Yes, your tear did hurt him. Closing his eyes, he stood there in silence trying to fight back the pain he was feeling from hurting you again.

Whereas you tried to fight back with your tears but betraying you, they escaped from your eyes making you immediately wipe your fallen tears and wear your bracelet. You just couldn't take it anymore, so you hurried away from there, mixing somewhere in the crowd where he won't find you.

He opened his eyes and turned back to confront you but you were gone from there making him sigh.

You came running from there to the entrance and took a deep breath calming your fast thumping heartbeat. You were upset that he hurted you again so you gazed at the night sky with your blured gaze and whispered with sorrow in your voice.

"Why, god? Why do I always run into him again and again? Exactly what do you want..?"
