"Why, god? Why do I always run into him again and again? Exactly what do you want..?"
You complained to your god, while blurry eyes stuck on the night sky. After a good minute, you felt someone blowing air inside your ear making you jump on your place scaring the hell outta you. You immediately turned back only to witness the culprit laughing his ass off but halted when his gaze fell on your teary gloomy face.
"What happened, Melon? Why are you crying?" He asked with concern as he wiped your tear with his thumb.
"Did anyone say anything to you?" He again asked, cupping your face tenderly in between his hands, making you lower your gaze.
"Nothing bad happened, Jimin-shi. It's just.. my eyelash went inside my eye so that's why it brought tears to my eyes as it took a lot of time to come out."
You replied with a reassuring look, hiding the fact that you actually lied to him as you didn't want him to take stress on such things cuz you knew how much protective he had always been for you. All this time your gaze was lowered because if you had looked into his eyes, you might have blurted everything to him.
But Jimin continued to stare at you as he looked unsatisfied with your reply. He felt that you were hiding something from him but he didn't dare to ask you again thinking he would make you feel uncomfortable so he let it slide.
"So my dear Y/n-ie shall we move inside then?" He politely asked, extending his arm for you to intertwine, in the hope to distract your mind which was making your cheerful face all gloomy.
Your attention slowly shifted to him and then to his arm which made your rosy pink lips curve at his gentlemanly behaviour. You intertwined your arm with him while having a cute small smile spread upon your lips which brought a big smile to his lips as he succeeded in making you smile.
Entering inside, you two were awestruck after seeing the captivating view of the Han river. You scanned the area and seeing everyone enjoying their time there with their loved ones made you slightly smile as it made you feel a little good.

Jisoo was continuously chittering like a bird annoying her younger brother Jungkook as her husband was busy talking with someone on call.
Suddenly, her eyes shifted to her left side and caught a familiar figure which was none other than yours, you stood far from where she stood but she wasn't sure if that was you or not. She tried to look closely and a big smile plopped on her lips when she saw your clear view but you were with a man whose back was facing, and that made her furrow her brows. Who was he?
She immediately held Jungkook's arm and stretched her arm pointing her forefinger in your direction. Jungkook sighed and followed her finger and tried to look keenly only to find you with a man and guess what he instantly recognized the other person who was no other than Jimin. Oh, man!
"Look Y/n has also come here... but who's that man beside her." She blurted having a perplexed expression displayed on her face. But just then, Jimin turned a little and his half-face could be seen properly from Jisoo's direction and she immediately recognized him.
"Wait.. isn't that our Jimin?" She glanced at Jungkook who himself didn't know how to answer her.
"What is he doing with her? Come let's go and find out." She said taking her step ready to approach you but stopped as Jungkook held her wrist not wanting her to create a ruckus there.
"Hey no.. don't go."
"Huh!? Why?" She asked as raised her brows.
"Uhm.." He tried to think of a better answer but she interrupted him.
"Is there something I don't know?" She finally asked the question that Jungkook was afraid to answer so he avoided her gaze because he was bad at making lies and that's what made Jisoo understand that something he was hiding.
"Tell me Jungkook," She sternly asked demanding an answer from him.
"Noona, not right now. I'll tell you later on." He sighed not wanting to disclose the topic right there.
"Promise?" She asked, forwarding her palm towards him because she wasn't sure whether he would really say it or not, whereas he hesitated at first but then later give in with a sigh.
"Promise but please don't let brother know about it." He requested as he knew if Taehyung get to know about it, he would surely eat him alive. She nodded her head agreeing to his request.
"I'll not--"
"What should I not know, Jungkook?"
Taehyung came out of nowhere from behind making the other two freeze in their spot.
"Ohh brother, you came." Jungkook turned to look at him with his nervous gaze who was staring at him with his raised brow.
"What is the thing that you don't want me to know?" He again asked as he gave the camera in Jisoo's hand while his eyes were fixed on him with his head a little tilted, right staring into his soul making Jungkook nervous.
Jisoo immediately thought of an excuse to help her youngest brother. She held Taehyung's arm making him look at her with a questioning stare.
"Tae, he forgot to take Yeontan for a walk in the morning so he was nervous that you would scold him."
She came up with the lamest reason making Jungkook look at her in disbelief. Taehyung looked at Jungkook for confirmation, sighing Jungkook nodded anyways.
"Jungkook, why do you think like this? It's fine unless you did it unitentionally."
He rasped as he shook his head in disbelief.
"Yes, brother." He awkwardly laughed.
Suddenly, the fireworks started taking the attention of everyone present there.
"Yeah .... it's finally started." Jisoo was delighted to see the fireworks, she had a big bright smile displayed on her face as she jumped like a kid and held her husband's arms in excitement making others giggle at her cuteness.
"Relax sis.," said Taehyung as he kept his hand on her shoulder,
"It's just explosive chemicals that are bursting, that's all."
She gave him an annoyed look looking offended.
"Tae, keep quiet, you're being so unromantic right now." She scoffed at him and turned back again to enjoy the moment.

Meanwhile,
"You know it has been years since I visited the Han river." He casually stated while his gaze was fixed on the river which was shining due to moonlight falling into it.
"Why though?" You knitted your brows as you glanced at him.
"Never had any company with me." He shrugged with a small smile.
"You could have asked me." You turned to look ahead same as him, admiring the scene of the Han river.
"You think your parents would have allowed you to go out during nighttime and that too with a guy?" He lightly chuckled making you nervously laugh because he was right.
"You've got a point." You lowered your head acknowledging his reply.
"Anyways, you finally found your company." You looked up at him as you gave him a warm smile of yours which he immediately returned by turning his body towards your side.
"And I'm thankful to you." He responded, patting your head in adoration.
Soon after a good minute, a sound of launching came as it burst and spread vibrant colors on the sky; they were fireworks.
"This is already started.. woah."
You didn't realize it yourself when your lips curled up in a toothy grin as the shining fireworks spread light and colors over the sky and gave a nostalgic feeling to you.
You turned your head to Jimin a little bit and got stuck admiring his side profile. Your gaze then lowered down to his plumpy cherry lips making your heart tingle.
You looked away, biting your bottom lip you tried to cool yourself down. You really wanted to kiss those sweet lips of his but can't. You turned your hand into a fist and took a deep breath and again looked up trying to control your feelings. Stop being a pervert Y/n ..
Coincidentally, Jimin's gaze fell over you, and a contagious smile appeared on his face as he peered at your face and his heart started to pound harder.
For him, the expression of happiness you wore with a smile that reached your eyes and shined under the lights of beautiful fireworks going off above was just something else to see.
At that moment, he had forgotten about every single thing which was bothering him from inside. He again looked back at the sky with bursting colors, and for a split second, he couldn't help but wanted that moment to pause there.
"Melon.." Your name rolled off his tongue, meeting the gaze you looked at him.
"Yes Jimin-shi," You smiled.
"Come let's go, I want to take you somewhere." He asked, towering over you. The top of your head just reached below his lips. You purposely avoided looking at his lips, despite your eyes moving to gaze at them.
Nodding your head in response, he led you to his car, which made you look at him perplexed. He understood your expression so he answered,
"I told my driver to park the car here."
Opening the car door and allowing you to slide in. You watched him closely as he rounded the front and slid into the driver's seat. He shut the door and you instantly turned,
"Where are you taking me?" You excitedly asked.
"That's a surprise wait for some time." He answered as he started the engine and focused on driving.
For the time being, your eyes swept across his sharp jawline and then to his lips, then his eyes. You blushed and swiftly looked away. You always felt embarrassed when he had caught you staring at him but the good thing he never teased you about it.
After a few minutes, he pulled off the break parking it somewhere around the hilly area. He stepped out of the car and opened the car door for you to step out. You smiled at him and stood beside him observing your surrounding.
"Come.." He intertwined his palm with yours taking you somewhere whereas you followed him from behind while eyes were stuck on your intertwined hands making you blush.
He just took 3 steps and you felt him stopping his steps and moving aside that made you look ahead and your mouth hung low seeing the mesmerizing sight in front of you. You could see the perfect view of Seoul city.
"It's so breathtaking," You let out walking a little closer to the edge, completely stunned by the beauty of the whole Seoul city. You loved it so much..
A big satisfying smile was brought up on Jimin's lips after seeing your reaction which he loved. He felt happy seeing you enjoying the view. He never had brought anyone to this place until today except Taehyung.
He turned back moving back to his car trunk and opened it to take out a blanket that he always kept in case he needed them. Grabbing the blanket, he shut off that car's trunk and moved in front of the car to sit on its bonnet.
"Melon, come here." He called you out waving his hand, after settling himself comfortably on the car's bonnet. You swiftly turned back when you heard his voice and looked at him amazed. He was sitting on his car's bonnet with a blanket on his lap while waving his hand and smiling at you. You immediately walked up to him and climbed on the car's bonnet to sit beside him.
"When did you find out about this amazing place?" You questioned as you sat beside him comfortably.
"I don't remember, it was years ago, I guess during my high school days when I used to come here to spend my time alone away from this world."
He honestly answered as he covered your lower body with the blanket making you give him a warm smile in return.
"Jimin-shi.. really this place is so beautiful." You commented admiring the scene in front of you.
"I know right, I often come here, it gives me time to escape from my busy life." He replied as he shifted his gaze above looking at the night sky.
"Do you like reading novels?" He asked after a long silence making you look at him.
"Yeah, I do but these days I don't get much time to read." You answered as you covered his lower body with the rest part of the blanket which made him look at you.
"I see.." He said and leaned his upper body on his car's windshield while his gaze was on you. Seeing him, you also felt to lie down to rest your body for a while and so you did.
"There's one friend of mine who's currently working on a novel and needed advice related to his story so do you mind if I ask you?" He asked once he saw you laying beside him properly.
"I'm not actually an expert on this subject but I'll try my best, but first, you have to explain a little about the story." You responded facing to your side glancing at him and making him chuckle.
"He didn't complete his story yet so i will tell you till halfway only. And also, please don't cut me off in middle ok? You can ask me your questions after the story ends.. Hmm?" He requested as he knew you would definitely pop in between with your questions so he beforehand informed you. You sighed at his question but anyways nodded as you were excited to listen.
"There was a 4-year-old boy named Joe, whose mother was a gardener in a big mansion. His mother was suffering from a serious disease due to which she passed away in the same year when he was 4. At that time he didn't even know the meaning of death. Everyone around him showed pity and kept telling him that his mother had gone to do God's work and she would return to him one day, and being an innocent boy he believed their words.
And just because he was an orphan, he became an unwanted person in that mansion. Maids of the mansion used to treat him very badly and sometimes they even forget to give him his meals but he never complained to anyone about it because he thought his mom would return and end all of his sufferings.
Until one day when his master's wife, Mrs. Kang witnessed him getting abused by a maid. That day she stood up for him and fired the maid who abused him. Since then she started to take care of him like her own child. She already had two kids, one was of Joe's age who was a boy, named V and the other was 3 years older than them and was a girl, named Ji.
She even introduced her children to him and requested them to take care of him like their own sibling which they gladly accepted and never made him feel alone though at times he used to have hard days dealing with some cruel maids and even the people who were his masters when she used to go on a vacation to her sister's house with her children, but he never complained about this her because whatever love she was giving him was enough to endure every abuse he used to face when she wasn't present in the mansion.
She was such a great human that she even took his responsibility into her hands and put him in a top school where his children used to study. And there, he met V and Ji's cousin with whom he also developed a very good bond in a short time.
Everything was going on track but as time passed everything fell apart when he turned 9, because Mrs. Kang took her life leaving everything behind her.
That was the day when Mrs. Kang's children get kicked out of the mansion by their Uncle and they shifted to his mother's sister's house but he stayed in that same mansion living with those people for years, even if he was suffering a lot, he never left that place because he had no other place to go and that time he was just a child.
He also missed his schooling in those years but after three years, when he turned 12, he ran away from the mansion and reached Seoul. And one fine day, he met his dear friend V who was with his cousin's brother on the streets of Seoul. Joe was delighted to see him after years but V was changed, his whole aura was changed, and he didn't have that smile that he used to have when he used to live in that mansion. He knew the reason behind that aura was his mother's sudden suicide.
He thought he wouldn't recognize him, so he thought to pass by but V pulled Joe's hand and hugged him indicating that he recognized him even after years. After their small reunion, V suggested him to move in with him at his aunt's house but he refused and thought to join a government boarding school because he didn't want to be a burden on them.
With the help of V's uncle, Joe got admission in a government boarding school with a scholarship for which he had studied hard. He shifted there and V always used to visit him with his cousin during his holidays. Then just like that time passed, he turned 17 and his friend V decided to go to another country with his cousin for business.
And the main story starts now when V had an eye set on a particular girl who was much younger than him. He was desperate to keep her only for himself because her eyes reminded him of his late mother.
So, before going to another country, he wanted someone who can keep an eye on her till he comes back and he shared this with Joe. Thinking that carefully, Joe thought it was a great opportunity to pay back him for everything he and his family did to him, so he suggested to him that he would the one to see after her. And, V agreed to him as he had trust in him a lot.
V then made him sign a contract where the main point stated that Joe was forbidden to have any kind of feelings for her. He wasn't even allowed to come in front of her, just had to make sure from afar that she was doing good and had to inform him about all these to V.
But as time went by, he broke both rules unintentionally. She became a dream for him, a painful dream that could only be seen but could never feel in reality. There was even a time when distanced himself from her, but the farther he stayed away, the more he thought about her.
But then there came a day when V came back and got to know about him having feelings for her. That day V had given him an option where he had to choose that girl or his best friend's happiness by sacrificing his feelings for her. And he wasn't a selfish person who would snatch his best friend's happiness for his own. So he did what he thought was right for them, he sacrificed his love for his best friend's happiness."
He elaborated everything while his eyes were shimmering with tears, whereas you were silent digesting each and every line of the story, and after thinking for a long time you asked the question which you wanted to know from the middle of the story.
"Does V love that girl?" You questioned as you shifted your gaze towards him.
"According to him, he has no place for love in his life. He's just... interested in ways I couldn't really explain."
He answered while his eyes were fixed on the starry night which was looking beautiful to him. You slightly nodded at his reply and looked upward.
"What about that girl? Does she know about all these things? What if she has feelings for Joe?" You enquired while fixing the blanket.
"She has feelings for him, she already confessed to him." You immediately turned to him shocked.
"What did he reply?" You curiously asked while your gaze was fixed on him.
"He in a way rejected her confession." He answered as he closed his eyes thinking about the afternoon's incident.
"How can he do this to himself and her? They both love each other, how can he do that to her?" You jolted up in a sitting position as you felt angry at Joe for being so selfless but you also felt bad for V because he too didn't deserve it after what had happened to him.
He also sat up after seeing you fuming in anger as a low chuckle left his mouth. He patted your head and made you look at him confused but his next sentence made you feel touched by his heartfelt words.
"Love is not always to gain, sometimes you have to sacrifice your love just to see your loving person happy.."
