'I don't believe you.' Rosie said slowly, searching his eyes. 'I didn't believe any of that.'

Draco bit his lip in frustration. Why did she have to be so damn beautiful, even when she was being bloody argumentative? Why couldn't she just believe the lies he was telling her? He knew he shouldn't be the one who was angry...after all, the Pansy situation was completely his fault. But why should he change his entire way of being, his entire attitude just for some girl? The sad thing is, he would change; for her he would.

'Don't be so naive, Williams. Stop trying. You're just embarrassing yourself.' He roughly released his grip on the collar of her robes, however, still remaining a close distance to her. Her face screwed up with angry disbelief.

'You know what, Malfoy, I will stop. I'll stop trying to see the good in you, because obviously there is none.'

'Finally she realises.' Draco announced loudly, scoffing theatrically as if talking to a crowd. His voice lowered as he continued. 'You can't sprinkle your happy Rosie hufflepuff dust and expect everyone to change for the better. It doesn't work that way. Not everyone is how you wish they could be.'

'No, they aren't. You're a perfect example of that. At the end of the day, Draco, it's a choice. Who you are is your own choice...nobody else's. And your decision was to be nothing else but a prick. I see that now.' Rosie replied calmly. She was done with this conversation.

She looked up from his face and saw that a small crowd had gathered around to watch them argue. The crowd was silent, anxiously watching with bated breath at what was going to happen next. They had never anyone talk down to Draco Malfoy in such a way before.

She saw Cedric push his way through the crowd and make his way towards her. His face was etched with concern, eyes filled with a soft worry, and completely free of any judgement. Draco was about to open his mouth with an angry response, but Cedric took Rosie's arm.

'We should go.' He said quietly. She glanced at Draco.

Draco's fists clenched so hard that his nails cut into his skin. Fury and hatred smouldered in his narrowed eyes as he glared at Diggory. He wanted to bash his head in. Why was he always hovering around like an irritating, pathetic fly? Draco's eyes moved to Rosie. She was eyeing him warily as though he was a bomb about to blow up. Her cheeks were flushed from shouting at him, and Draco saw that a bruise was already forming into a nasty purple on her left cheekbone. This is so not what he meant when he said he wanted to cover her in his bruises. This made him feel nauseous with guilt.

His own bruise was throbbing, so he didn't have to imagine how much pain she was in. His poor, sweet, brave girl- she didn't even complain or cry. A part of him wanted to pull her down onto his lap and stroke her cheek until it was healed. But the murderous looks in both her and Diggory's eyes told him that wasn't a very wise idea.

But although he felt guilt, he mostly felt resentment. How dare she talk to him like that. How dare she get inside his head. Her words had hurt him like a million knives. He knew he had hurt her too. Now he wanted to hurt her more. He wanted to punish her for raising her voice at him. She deserved to be bent over, and spanked hard until her perky arse was red and raw. Draco wanted to sink his dick in deep and pound into her until all she could see were stars, and all she could do was scream his name. She deserved that.

When Draco broke out of his thoughts and looked up, Rosie and Cedric had left. He hadn't even realised that he had sat back down on the grass. His head was light. What had just happened? He could tell by the ferocity in her voice that whatever there had been between them was over. That was fine by him. He didn't need her. In the week he had known her, she had caused him way too much trouble. Perhaps now he would sleep better now. He tried to ignore the sinking feeling in his stomach as he lied to himself. He had been lying to himself, and Rosie, this whole time. He needed her, and now it was too late.

Meanwhile, Cedric was still holding Rosie's arm gently. He managed to steer her inside the castle, where they sat together on a cold stone bench in a hallway. The cold reminded her of Draco.

She looked up at Cedric earnestly.

'Thank you, Cedric. I mean it.'

Her voice broke, her tough facade beginning to wither away. Now, she was a tired, hurt mess.

'Hey, hey, hey... it's okay, Rosie. It's okay.' Cedric put a comforting arm around her and she leant her head on his shoulder, tears spilling down her face.

She was too proud to show Draco how much he had hurt her, but his words did sting. She knew she hurt him too, and although there was something rather satisfying about it, she couldn't help but feel remorseful. She was angry about Pansy, of course, but she cursed her overreaction. She knew she had no right to get angry about such a thing. After all, Draco owed her nothing. It was just the way that he was so bipolar towards her that she despised. She hoped Draco was okay. She knew he didn't mean what he had said- but she wondered why he said it. Despite this, she decided she was done with him. Hogwarts was enormous. She didn't notice him before, now she'll try not to notice him again. She would ask Snape to move her seat in potions tomorrow.

Rosie lifted her head off Cedric's shoulder and gave him a weak smile before lowering her head to the floor.

'Sorry I'm being such a crybaby, I feel bad for burdening you with my petty issues with Malfoy.'

Cedric lifted her chin so her eyes met his own clear ones.

'Don't ever be sorry with me, Rosie. I'll always be there for you.' He leaned in closer, until she could smell his woody, cinnamon aroma. Cedric placed a gentle hand on her cheek as he leaned in to kiss her. Rosie's stomach knotted in panic. She pulled away, causing a confused, hurt look to flash in his tender eyes.

'I-I'm sorry, I dont know what came over me.' He stammered, flushing pink as he shook his head, not meeting her gaze.

'No, I'm sorry, Cedric. I don't want to take advantage of your kindness...I don't deserve it.'

'You deserve more than you know.' Was all he replied softly as he stood up and brushed his robes down. 'I think we had better head off to class.'

Rosie nodded, giving him a final hug and a thank you before they parted ways to get to their separate classes. She knew she had done the right thing. She couldn't just get with another guy straight after Draco, it simply wouldn't have been fair to Cedric. Not when all she could think about was Draco. And what reflection would it have had on her? If she was being honest, she had been exceedingly tempted to kiss him. His gentle disposition always made her feel calm and at ease which was exactly what she needed, but she would have to wait for the dust to settle with Draco.

Months had gone by and Rosie and Draco had not exchanged any signs of recognition towards eachother since their big argument. They sometimes caught the other staring, but both had come to terms with the fact that whatever had been going on between them, was long in the past. Cedric had not tried to kiss her again, but they had been growing much closer, spending more and more time together between lessons and in the common room.

'Cedric stop!' Rosie screamed in a fit of giggles as he hurled another snowball at her. They were in Hogsmeade alone together for the fourth weekend in a row, and the snow had started to settle into a thick, white blanket as winter neared.

As the next snowball collided with her face, she fell over backwards on her arse with a yelp.

'You prick! When I get up you're so going down!' She struggled to get up, laughing helplessly with every attempt. Cedric stood over her with a goofy smile.

'You look like a beetle who's stuck on his back.' He teased, offering her his hand so he could pull her up. A mischievous grin spread across her face as she yanked his hand hard and he came tumbling down on top of her in the snow.

His arms were on either side of her head as they stopped laughing and stared at eachother. Slowly, he leaned down and brushed his lips gently, almost hesitantly at first against hers. Then, he kissed her, slowly and softly, his hand resting below her ear and thumb caressing her cheek. Rosie ran her fingers down his spine, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them, and so she could feel the steady beating of his heart against her chest. It was a delicate butterfly of a kiss, between two uncertain lovers. She loved the way Cedric's warm mouth enveloped hers carefully, as if she was something exquisite and precious, and kissed him back with docile eagerness.

They pulled apart and Cedric rested his forehead on hers as they chucked to eachother. Rosie reached out her arm, scooping up some snow and ruffled it into his hair, laughing playfully. He shook his head, making the snow fall down onto her face and she spluttered as it went into her mouth.

Hearing crunchy footsteps coming towards them, they both looked up, smiles fading as they realised who was standing above them. Draco had a hurt look in his eyes. Whilst Crabbe was devouring a chocolate frog, Draco just stared down at them, looking uncomfortably unfamiliar without his signature sneer on his face. He just looked lost. Cedric clambered off of Rosie and stood up, offering her a hand and pulling her up too. The three of them looked at eachother silently until Draco gave a quick nod. He then grabbed Crabbe's arm roughly and continued walking.

'What was that all about?' Cedric laughed, watching the icy haired boy trudge in the opposite direction. Rosie could have sworn that Draco had a melancholy air to his walk. She didn't reply to Cedric. Being with Draco still felt like it happened just yesterday...she could remember every single sinful detail.

Stop it Rosie, you have Cedric now, and he's everything you could ever want, she scolded herself silently.

Shaking off that dark feeling in her heart, she turned to Cedric with an impish smile on her face. 'Lets head back to the dorms than shall we?'

They were laughing as Cedric grabbed her hand and pulled her into his dorm, shutting the door behind him.

'Will won't be back for a long while.' He murmured in her ear, slowly unbuttoning her jeans and pulling them down. 'Which means we'll have the place to ourselves.'

'Good.' Rosie whispered. She pulled his shirt off over his head, stopping to admire his toned, seeker's physique. It wasn't the first time she and him had been in this situation, but his body never ceased to impress her. She ran her hands along the prominent groves on his stomach, slowly inching her way down to his trousers. Keeping her eyes locked with his, she unhurriedly sank to her knees as he stood over her, eyes level with his zipper. As soon as she pulled down his boxers, his hard erection sprung out.

Tentatively, she placed her hands around the shaft, swiping her tongue over the tip teasingly, starting almost painfully slowly. Cedric tangled her hair in his fingers gently into an updo, so it wouldn't fall over her face and he could see her big eyes stare up at him. He groaned deeply, his head hanging back as she continued, getting more and more vigorous with her strokes, coating him with saliva. Her warm mouth had enveloped his whole length, and she could feel him straining against the insides of her cheek, an orgasm beginning to erupt. She grabbed his backside, thrusting him deeper into her mouth and allowing him to mouth-fuck her, her tongue lying flat against the underside of him as he slid in and out of her mouth. She had learned from past experience that's what he liked. His breaths were short and strained ,and suddenly he groaned loudly as he came in her mouth. Rosie took it all in, swallowing each drop with a satisfied smile.

'You don't know how much I longed for us to be doing this again.' He grinned, still out of breath. 'It feels right.'

He began to pull her top off, unclasping her bra and placing her gently in his bed, pushing his yellow hufflepuff quilt to the side. She lay quietly on her back, watching him glide on the condom with ease as he was hard again. He gave her a shy smile as he climbed on top of her.

Their kiss was pure and sweet, both of them content in the shared tenderness they felt towards eachother. Cedric kissed down her jawline and her neck delicately, leaving little ticklish, wet kisses. Carefully, he pushed himself inside of her, earning a pleasured whimper from her.

'Does this feel okay?' He murmured cautiously, not wanting to hurt her. She nodded quickly, biting her lip as she looked into his earnest eyes.

Her legs wrapped around his waist as he continued to slowly slide in and out of her. Before Draco, she would have relished in the gentle manner in which he was treating her, but now, she wanted it harder...faster. She wanted him to wrap his hands around her neck and pound into her until she couldn't even remember her own name. Desperately, she bucked her hips with a quickening pace. Cedric gave a surprised moan, but increased his momentum. His hands grasped her breasts, moulding them with his hands and caressing her nipples with his eager tongue.

With a shaky groan, he came, his dick going limp inside her as he carefully retracted it, pulling off the soggy condom and throwing it into a nearby bin. He fell onto the bed, lying next to her naked body. Rosie stared at the ceiling, feeling underwhelmed. She hadn't realised how boring sex was until Draco had come along. He was the only one who had ever made her come. She would do anything to feel that again. She felt guilty, thinking about another guy whilst in bed with Cedric, so she cleared her mind of erotic fantasies with her toxic slytherin and turned onto her side to face Cedric. He had a euphoric, dazed look on his face.

He was absently stroking her abdomen with his fingers, drawing circles and patterns on her skin. She knew she should feel lucky to have him. When she had been with Draco, he had fucked off and left her naked and alone in a classroom. Arm wrapped around her, Cedric held her small, bare body to him and as she nuzzled her head in the crook of his neck, they both fell into a light sleep.

They were both awakened by loud music coming from downstairs in the Hufflepuff common room. Rosie's neck was stiff and as she slowly rose up, she realised it was dark outside and she and Cedric had slept past dinner. He yawned loudly, grinning sleepily as he saw her and kissed her affectionately on the head. Rosie smiled weakly.

'What is that noise? I was so comfortable.' He grumbled, slurring his words drowsily.

They quickly put on their clothes, hurrying to peak out of the door. Most of the hufflepuffs had gathered in the common room, and there appeared to be a karaoke battle occurring. Definitely explained the ruckus.

Bella spotted Rosie and Cedric enter the common room together, smirking at their disheveled appearances. She nudged to Lewis who lifted an amused eyebrow.

'We missed you two at dinner...although I'd say  by the looks of it you had something better to do.' Lewis cackled, folding his arms across his chest in mock authority. 'Rosie, honey, your hair looks like a birds nest.'

She flushed red and raked at her hair to smooth it down. Soon, Cedric was swallowed as usual by his large crowd of friends, and she could hear cheering. Curse them for being so obvious, she had never made it so transparent to everyone before. She was left alone with Bella and Lewis.

'Soooo...' Bella said expectantly, nudging Rosie.

'Spill.' Lewis grabbed her and pushed her onto a sofa, where Bella and Lewis sat down next to her, watching her expectantly.

'We had sex. It's not a big deal it wasn't the first time-'

'Not that silly. Thats old news. Word around Hufflepuff is that you two are a proper item now. Lewis overheard Cedric saying the other day he wanted to invite you to the Christmas Ball with him, and even take you home for the holiday!' Bella exclaimed, clasping her hands together with joy.

Rosie didn't know how to respond. She didn't know how to feel. The loud shouts and music from the common room were making it hard to think and she could hear her heart pumping loudly in her chest. Why was everything going so quickly? Why was everyone getting so involved?
