Lucas Pov

"How can you just let her leave with your son? He is in danger without you there." My father yells, and I just roll my eyes in response and walk away. I don't have time for this.

"Not only is Dante in danger being out there, but so is my niece. Stefan, but it's not like you care about the safety of Anthony's daughter," Frank says, shaking his head.

I head out of the office when Korey comes running to me. "Call your buddy Nico. Rayne took my mom's SUV so we could track her and see where she went." Korey says.

I pull my phone out and call my best hacker, Nico. I don't fully trust my father's men, so I don't bother calling Hank. But Nico, on the other hand, is the best; he has gotten through all of Hanks's firewalls and crashed his servers. Hank still hasn't been able to trace it back to us.

"What up, man?" I hear Nico answer from the other end of the phone.

"I need you to meet me at The Bonanno residents now," I say and hang up the phone.

I'm walking to the living room, and I hear Tina yelling at Caleb, freaking out because Rayne and Dante are gone. She starts saying something about how she promised Melissa she would keep Rayne hidden from the Russians and how Maxim's son Nikoli is obsessed with Rayne.

My blood turns cold after hearing this. I rush up the stairs and slam the door open, and it hits the wall, causing pictures to fall off the wall.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I yell, grabbing Frank up from his chair and throwing him into the wall.

"Why didn't you tell me the Russians already knew about Rayne and Dante?" I scream in his face.

As I'm screaming, I start to punch Frank over and over again. "Lucas stop." I hear someone yell as I'm being pulled off of my dad's best friend.

I shove whoever has ahold of me off. "My son and the mother of my child are out there alone, and all because you guys hid this life from her for 18 years. They both are in danger right now because no one told me the Russians already knew about them. So do not tell me to calm the fuck down." I seeth as I storm out the door.

I walk down the stairs, and Nico is already standing in the dining room. "Hey man, who am I tracking?" He says this as I turn towards Korey. Korey walks up to us and gives us the tracking number.

Nico puts the number on his computer and tracks it.

"Damn, what did you guys do to this girl? She is already in Tennessee," Nico says, looking at the computer.

"Ok, find out the exact location we are heading to. Let's go, guys." I say grabbing some weapons just in case.

Rayne Pov

I wake up, and it's 8:30 a.m. I go to the bathroom and take a shower. Dante is still sleeping. After doing my business and showering, I get dressed and walk out of the bathroom to wake Dante up.

I open the bathroom door and look up, and I stop and drop my clothes. I gasp in shock as I see Lucas, Caleb, and some other men I have never met before.

"How?" is all I can say in confusion.

"Well, Amor, you must have forgotten in your rush to leave that I have connections, Maifa and all," Lucas says it so casually like it's no big deal.

"We had someone trace my mom's SUV since you kind of stole it last night," Caleb says as he walks over to me, crossing his arms.

"Rayne, how the hell can you be so reckless? If anyone were to find out that you are tied to me, you would have a target on your back as well as Dante." Lucas yells.

"That's why I was leaving, so no one finds out he is your son. I'm not risking my son's life. I could care less about my life, but I will be damned if something happens to my son. You guys want to be fucking stupid and reckless; that's your choice, but I refuse to have a target on my son's head for the rest of his life. God, if I knew about you four years ago, I wouldn't have slept with you." I say this as I throw my hands up in the air out of frustration.

"Watch him for a minute, please," I ask as I walk out the door.

"So you regret it?" Lucas asks me and gets in my way of leaving.

"Yes, I do regret sleeping with you," I say, but I regretted it right away when I saw the hurt flash in Lucas's eyes before he shook it off, and all I saw was coldness and no emotion showing.

"Well, so do I." That is all Lucas says before walking to his car.

I lean against the motel wall and release my breath. I didn't even notice I was holding as I slid down on my buttocks and just sat there for a few minutes, holding my head. God, I'm so stupid. How is this even going to work?

"Let's go, Rayne," Caleb says in a bored tone with no emotion. I look up and see that he is carrying Dante while some guy is carrying my bags. I stand up and follow them to Lucas's car.

Lucas has a carseat hooked up in the back seat already, so Caleb puts Dante in the back and buckles him up before shutting the door. I go to get in the back seat, but Caleb stops me from getting in.

"Rayne, listen, you have always been tied one way or another because of my dad being your uncle. We only hid it from you because your mom wanted to keep you out of it. They were supposed to tell you when you were 14 years old, but they didn't. Do you remember that guy, Nikoli?" Caleb says, and I just shake my head, yes.

How could I forget that he tried to rape me when I was 14? But thank God I knew how to fight back.

"Well, that's the reason why they didn't tell you about us. They thought they were protecting you. Plus, we don't have a choice like you do; we are stuck in this life, and so is Lucas. Please don't be so harsh on him. He just met his son; he already loves him and is ready to die for Dante. Not to mention for you." Caleb says to me before he walks to Tina's SUV.

I climb in the front seat and buckle up. I look at Lucas but say nothing. I feel so guilty for what I said. I didn't notice I was crying until Lucas reached over and rubbed his thumb across my cheek, wiping the tear away.

"I'm so sorry, Lucas. I didn't mean what I said." I say it in a shaky voice. "We will talk about it later, when we get back to Tina's," he says as he starts the car and drives us back.
