The judge walks in already giving Chris a evil smirk. She doesn't have it out for him, she actually sees greatness in him but she can't help him bring it to the surface u less he wants it for himself.

"you may be seated. Well Mr. Brown, first off you do know I could lock you up?
"yes ma'am, your honor"
"but I won't...... Yet. Ima give you a chance to give yourself a chance"

He had a confused face along with a few others in the not really understanding where she was heading with her statement. She picked up on this and went I to more detail.

"you will get back in school and I also want you to enroll in a gifted school. You can sing, dance, draw, and I know you can keep people laughing so there are many things positive things you can get involved in. Stay out of trouble. Change your friends or they need their ways too. Just know I'm keeping an eye on you"
"(mumbles) "
"I'm sorry your honor my client will obey all terms"
" great that's well, Mr Brown after this I want to see you and your counsel in my quarters"
"yes ma'am "

Chris was aggravated. Not only did he have to get back in school but also a special school. He didn't think about the benefits that could come out of such a situation. He and his lawyer walked in the judges office.

" Chris I'm not playing your ass. I will beat your ass the lock you up. Try me and find out"
"Auntie I know. But this time it wasn't my fault...."
"boy save that shit it's never your fault. Your mom is turning over in her grave... "
"auntie dont"
"Chris (exhales) I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring her up. We will talk when I get home. Yes you wl live with me u til see improvement then you can move back"
"yes ma'am"

With that Chris was escorted back to his cell to be processed and released. While he was waiting his mind went back to his mom. His aunt was right she was fucking up. But he feels so alone. What does life have for him besides a lonely abyss of just going thru the motions.

"I told your ass stop ducking with me, but Ooooooh no"

"I-I-I I Didn't do anything (sobbing) "
"So your fat ass wasn't just smiling in some nigga face? "
"I wasn't.....

"DONT FUCKING PLAY WITH ME. Don't leave this house unless it's with your brother. School about to start and I bet not even hear about a nigga around you."

As Colby walked out the house slamming the door Jill got up and went to go shower and clean up because if her brother Maxwell saw his baby sisters face like this he was going jail. As Jill showered and washed her hair we cried harder as the good times she and Colby once shared. She wasn't sure when he changed or why. He was abusive on so many levels. But he wouldn't let her get away.

After her parent died in a plan crash on the way to anniversary trip all she has is her brother. She and Maxwell are close as can be and Colby has a dog ke life and the other life will get Maxwell killed. She can't have that because then she will have to die too. So she endures hell to save her brother.

You may wonder why she just won't tell her brother so they can relocate or so he can beat Colby ass well, Maxwell also has a bright future in singing and Jill doesn't want to ruin that for him. Of he gets involved his career and his life is over before it starts...
