14 | A Date To Remember

Simran :

He looked handsome - like really handsome and hot.
We were sitting in the car. He looked so damn perfect. I had suddenly started appreciating his handsome features. My heart was pacing and there was a constant warm feeling.

"Formals really suit you.", I confessed as I looked up from his mobile towards me.
Ah that look!
"Thank you..", he said awkwardly looking away.
I too looked away.
There was a tension inside the car, something was building up that both of us were denying.

We reached the hotel in another half an hour.

"Welcome!", Vikrant's friend greeted us as we entered the hotel.

"I've got a whole room decorated for you guys! Have fun!", he said as he called the manager and asked him to lead us.

"Sir you can go in through the corridor.", the manager said as we stood before a dimly lit corridor.

"Thank you man.", Vikrant said with a smile as he shook hands with the manager.
The manager left as I looked at Vikrant, there was a smile on his face - a different smile.

"What are you smiling so much for?", I asked, blushing myself.
"I'm going on a date after a really long time.", he said looking at me and constantly smiling.
"Yes.. Me too.", I said.

He looked at me, and suddenly he lifted me in his arms.
My heart had skipped a beat.

"You're comfortable?", he asked as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
I nodded, I just couldn't stop smiling and blushing.

His state was no different as he walked down the corridor with me in his arms. It was lit with red lights all through. We reached the room as he carefully made me stand.

There was a well decorated rickshaw, or rather a rickshaw - design seat with a small table beside it with samosas and two cups of tea.

"So this is the desi date..", I said as I walked down to the rickshaw.
"Such stuff happens in Meerut, doesn't it?", Vikrant said.
"How do you know?", I asked looking at him a little startled.
"No, I mean your maternal home's there isn't it?", he said walking down to me and held my hand as I got up on the rickshaw and sat.

"Well researched, are you Sher Khan?", I asked, blushing but trying to sound like smarty.
"I always do my research.", he said, also trying to sound as smart as possible.

"Vijay did a good job though, I was bored of all those sober classy dates.", he said picking up one cup of tea and handing me, and taking one for himself.

I kept looking at him, his half shy and totally happy smile.

He looked up at me, straight into my eyes as I immediately looked away.

It was not the first time for me, or him - I knew it, yet there was this weird gush of feelings that surged through both of us.

"So.. Are there any feelings?", he asked smiling away.
I looked at him.
Just to mention, I am also very good at flirting.
"Yes.. There's this attachment that I have with you.", I said smiling and blushing at him at the same time.

"But I have no expectations from you.", I added, just to not make my liking towards him obvious.
"Ah.. That's a lie.", he said smiling.
"Nope.. Its not!", I lied as he looked at me and smiled.

"Do you think we would have come on a date by ourselves? ", he asked sitting comfortably on the rickshaw driver's seat.

"I have no idea..", I said looking everywhere except his face.
He kept looking at me and smiling.

He drew in a deep breath.
"You know there are very few people in this world who've cooked for me with so much love..", he said.

I looked at him, he looked back at me.
There was something in his eyes, an ocean of pain that he was carrying with himself.
I smiled at him softly as he got off and stood right before me.

He was serious now, it was not casual flirting anymore.

" You know there's this unexplainable comfort that I feel when I'm around you.", he said. He was baring his heart so effortlessly before me.

I wished I could do the same, and say it all to him. But something stopped me.

"This has happened since the last three days.", he said looking straight at me, "I keep searching for you to see you when I am home."

"Why?", I asked, slightly taken aback.

"I feel at peace when I see you.", he said and then smiled.

I got off the rickshaw and wrapped my arms around him.
He hugged me back tightly, as if he'd never let me go.

I did not know when this happened, but I did not hate him anymore. I just could not.

Just then a song started playing.

Kuch na kaho.. kuch bhi na kaho
Kuch na kaho kuch bhi na kaho
Kya kehna hai kya sun-na hai
Mujhko pata hai, tumko pata hai

"Ah.. Perfect timing.", he said as he released me from the hug.
His hands were on my waist, as mine stood on his shoulders.
He took my right hand from his should and held it for the waltz.

"May I?", he asked smiling.
"Of course.", I said smiling.

Samay ka yeh pal, tham sa gaya hai
Aur is pal mein koi nahi hai
Bas ek main hoon bas ek tum ho
Kuch na kaho kuch bhi na kaho

And we waltzed, he was careful that he didn't step on me, yet he did not look away from my face

Kuch na kaho kuch bhi na kaho

....

Double update 'coz its Valentines!

Spread some love guys!
