Curses were fired everywhere, when Severus thought he heard a familiar cackle. "Bellatrix." he muttered to himself and pulling Scarlet out of the Duo's tent. Bellatrix's and other Death Eater's laughter burst through the holes of the tent, while the clatter and cling of pots made by Talahad and Donatello interrupted. "How about the Duo -?"

"Carter!"

"RUN, SCARLET!" Severus' hoarse voice bellowed, as their footsteps only attracted more & more attention. They did not notice the men along the shadows, now chasing them once again. "Not so fast, Severus!" Avery shouted playfully, whipping his wand that the white robes merely missed an inch to his foot. But as the path back to main road was just a few meters away, they were blocked. It seemed like two against a hundred, that there was no chance of making out alive. Severus wrapped his arm around his witch's waist protectively, not moving his eyes from his fellow Death Eaters he had once worked with. He leaned towards her ear and whispered:

"Do you trust me?"

Severus can feel Scarlet's heavy panting as she looked at him with a face full of emotions. With one hand placed up his chest... She nodded.

The Potions Master closed his mind preventing anyone from reading his thoughts and looked at the dark starry sky. They can see his grip tightened at her small waist and instant pop they vanished as Scarlet's purple flame was left behind her. 

They both landed on the cold stone floor when Scarlet realized they were in the Headmistress' office... "Severus? Miss Carter?!" Minerva McGonagall's usual voice called out as Scarlet's eyes adjusted from the lighting. Severus stood up as well, and Scarlet suddenly hugged him tightly. "Wh-What happened?" asked the woman confusingly at the same time the door burst open. "I HEARD HER LAST NAME!" Flora Felixa's usual shriek rang around the room, her eyes landing on the both. "Scarlet!"

"We were being chased," explained Severus, telling all the precise details McGonagall asked. "by the Death Eaters as well. They've received information we were in New York." All stared at Scarlet as she was looking distractedly at the fireplace. "Floo."

"Please repeat that, dear?"

"Floo Network," her head faced them again, "the Ministry is still handling the Floo Network aren't they? We used it to go to New York. The Death Eaters were informed, and we were tracked. How foolish of me goodness lord...."

Everybody in the room seemed to have agreed, that even Phineas Black nodded in agreement. "But how about our packed stuff, Minerva?" asked Severus, when Dobby, Kreacher, Winky, & Coco appeared in front of them after a huge crack. "Mistress McGonagall!" the four chanted perfectly together, and later, they came back with the two's stuff. Scarlet told McGonagall and Felixa the phropecy Talahad told her. When she had just finished, a hurried knock went on the door. "Professor McGonagall! Professor Felixa!"

"Lyanna?" Scarlet whispered as Felixa rushed to the door and opened it. "Something's wrong."

Later,  the entire lot was running to the Hospital Wing with their footsteps being followed by the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. "Xander!" the witch gasped, slamming one door open. There, her brave and strong best friend was lying on one of the clinic beds, panting heavily. "Scarlet! You're back!" shouted Arabella. This made Xander jolt out of his bed when Elise had to push him to lie back down. "Scarlet?! Where is she?!" he exclaimed but the pain in his body thought otherwise. "Wha -" Scarlet looked towards their Chaser, with his face white through the nervousness he was feeling. "Oh lemme' explain this." the Gryffindor Keeper muttered and stepped in front of the Chaser. The Keeper looked annoyed at her other team mates, shooting disappointed looks. "You promised to me that the team will be alright till I get back! I didn't expect someone to get hurt this holiday!" Scarlet exclaimed furiously while the staff watched a student acting like an adult. The team much depended her more than their Quidditch Captain, even though she was rarely there for matches or games. The Keeper opened her mouth to speak and looked at Scarlet eye-to-eye. "Miss Elainous gave the whole team something during Christmas..." but her voice trailed off as she realized the professors was there. "Well go on, Sanders!" barked McGonagall.

Sanders gulped nervously and avoided eye contact with the teachers listening. 

"Eh... we received brooms. Here," she showed a broom similar to a Nimbus 2001, but it's handle was baby blue and gold, with the end shining like a plastic toy. "You used new broo-" but Sanders raised her hand to interrupt. "Smith thought of maybe... deciding with you, but it was two days before the holiday game. We needed to practice.

"Miss Elainous also gave you one. Yours had a black and golden handle, different from ours. We practiced on them for one day which was surprising they just worked like usual brooms... when Smith thought of using yours for the game. Ask him why. So... we were in the field, and we flew to the middle, like usual. Um, but something was wrong about your broom on how it flew at a straight line. It flew rather ziggidy-zaggedy, up and down. There was no way we can change the broom, so we just played normally. 

"We were against Hufflepuff that day which surprised us as the score was 42 to 89. And no, we were the 42. Smith was surrounded by the Hufflepuffs when Holkam passed the Quaffle towards him. It was a little blurry since of the snow, but I saw a bludger heading towards his head. It missed him, but the broom zigged and made him crash down from 20 feet. It may be a small height, but the broom may have dragged him while his arm still clutched on the thing...."

Scarlet looked at Xander with confusion, anger, & annoyance. "And you didn't even try writing a letter about this to me?!" 

"I wanted to, y'know!"

She felt a sudden tap by her shoulder, and she leaned further. "Um, Scarlet?" whispered Lyanna in her ear. "What?" she replied quietly. She watched as Lyanna gestured her eyes towards the others. She got the message and talked with her by the corner while McGonagall asked of what happened during her absence at the match.

"I have to tell you something... about Xander."

"What about him?"

"I mean his broom! Sorry, his broom- or your's rather."

"So?"

Her eyes narrowed at suspicion, and said in a shush voice.

"Professor Jones. She jinxed the broom."

"Jinxed. My. Broom?!"

"Well... yes. She seems the type, isn't she? Well she was at the match, and she was suspiciously looking at Xander then would snap at Miss Elainous. But her eyes seemed to be, well, glowing."

"Glowing?"

"That's what I saw. I was beside Hermione, but she was more focused at our team, rather. And the fact that it was your broom... she didn't really know you were gone. We refused to tell anybody you were with Professor Snape in New York."

"And how is that exactly helping?"

"Well, when you play in the field, you tie your hair and hide it under your helmet -if that's what you call it- JUST LIKE XANDER. And the fact that both of you like to play fast. Plus... It was confusing when your 21 and he's 12. Jones knew that you played Seeker so she was taken aback when there was a substitute."

"Lyanna, we discussed this already -"

"But doesn't it seem weird? Why would she jinx Xaner, when he was using your broom? She could've done that ever since last year!"

But come to think of it.... wasn't the witch she was up against named Malaine? She didn't need any of this nonsense, and what she needs to focus is about Malaine & stopping her. 

"Come on, Scarlet, don't think I'm lying!"

"No. I don't. People are getting hurt of me, but I'm not throwing it to Jones just because she hates me or I hate her. Let's get back. They'll thin -"

"Miss Carter! Miss Roberts! Where have you been? Mr. Smith has been wanting to talk to you."

OK. Maybe a confusing chapter. Basically, the point is, Scarlet comes home to Hogwarts after being chased by Death Eaters and now finds her best friend hurt after a match. The broom he was using was for Scarlet, that stood out of the team's. Jones thought that it was Scarlet who was being passed on by the quaffle, and Xander crashed to the ground and dragged as well. Now, it's time to act on who is this Malaine, and how to stop her without loosing a few limbs along the way. 

Is that a good explanation? Idrk. I have a free day of school today, so I tried my best to publish the 2 chapters today. 

Thank you Prongs211 so much for being such a supportive and awesome reader. But all of you guys are awesome and  supportive as well! I've never been used to compliments that much, so I never really knew how to react or reply to them.

I just want to ask, because you might take it as an insult when you figure out how old I am.... and still the bad writing. Do you? Idrk.
