I sniffled, pulling the covers tighter to my chest as my mom stood at the door, "Iris, being upset about it won't help with anything, you're the only one to blame. You know lying is bad."

I ignored her and shut my eyes, holding back my tears. She sighed, "I'm going to work, I'll see you later. And don't forget to do the home school programme on the computer."

She shut the door and I heard her footsteps go down the stairs before the bang of the front door. I sighed, shoving my covers off of me before getting up and standing in front of my mirror. I grimaced, I look horrible and my throat hurts - well, I guess that's what twelve hours of crying and screaming gets you.

I roll my eyes at myself, walking back over to my bed, falling back onto it, covering my face with my hands. I jumped up, a gasp escaping my lips as I heard the balcony doors open up. My eyes widened when I saw it was Jason, he walked into the room, his eyes instantly falling on me after he shut the doors. Within seconds, he's crouched down in front of me, his hands wiping away my tears that I hadn't even realised were falling from my eyes. I sobbed, grabbing his t-shirt before pulling him on top of me on the bed. I wrapped my arms around his neck, holding him close.

"J-jason, t-they-t- they."

He flipped us over - so he was underneath me - and held me tighter, smoothing my hair down my back "Shh, baby, I know, I know. Gaby told me everything."

I sobbed, holding onto him tighter "I-i'm sorry, i-it's all E-Enzo's f-fault.." I looked up
at him, blinking repeatedly to stop my crying. He licked his lips, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear before kissing my forehead.

"I know, baby, I've sorted him out."

I gulped, biting my lip while looking into his eyes, "Ih-hate h-him, Ih-hate a-all of t- them!" I buried my head in his neck, holding onto him again, whispering quietly.

"I only love you."

He looked at me, his lips in a small smile as he kissed my lips softly, "I only love you too, baby, I'm gonna fix this."

I bit my lip, "How?"

He sighed, licking his lips "I'll talk to them, reason with them. Convince them that I am with you because I love you more than anything else in this world."

...

"What the hell are you doing here !?" My father growled as Jason and I walked into the living room. I grabbed Jason's hand, holding onto his arm with my free hand.

"Sir, please, I'd just like to-"

"No, I don't wanna hear it, get the hell out, NOW!" My dad barked, standing up from his chair. My mom grabbed his arm, looking at Jason.

"There's nothing you can say that will make us change our minds."

Jason bit his lip, looking at me, his eyes searching mine before he looked back at them. "I love you daughter-."

He started but my father cut him off, "You don't know what love is!"

"Sir, pleas let me finis-"

"NO, I SAID GET OUT!"

I could tell Jason was getting annoyed by him, his jaw was clenched and his grip on my hand was getting tighter.

"Dad, just listen to him!" I yelled, staring at him with anger, "Can't you just for once have an open mind and try to understand where he's coming from! You've judged him without even getting to know him and that's not fair!"

They all looked at me and I swear my father had steam coming out of his ears. "YOU DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE THAT-" he reached his hand forward to grab my arm but Jason pulled me away, stepping in front of me protectively, shaking his head.

Please don't do that sir. Because if you're gonna hurt her, then I'm really gonna make a bad impression with my reaction." Jason's in his scary-dangerous-gang-leader-mode which has an effect on everyone, including my dad who takes a step back from him, his eyes hard.

"I want you out of my house, now."

"Not until you let me finish." Jason stated boldly before he glanced at me, I nodded my head at him and he looked back at them. "I love your daughter, I love her more than I love anything else in this world .." He gulped, pausing for a moment as his eyes turned glossy.

"Taking her away from me would be the worst thing you could ever do, I need her, she gives me purpose," he licked his lips, "She's got this aura about her, this innocence - it intoxicates me, it makes me want to be a better person, a better person for her - I know I could never live up to your expectations, no matter how hard I try. If you look, you'll probably find guys who are better for her than I am, I know that.... but I promise you, no matter how better they are, they'll never love her like I do. Please, please, I'm begging you, don't keep her away from me."

The room fell silent as all of us gawked at him, my heart melting at his words. Oh my gosh, I love this boy so much. I don't care what my parents say, I'm not letting him go, no way in hell - yes, I cussed for the first time ever!

"Get. Out. Of. My. House." I felt Jason's whole body frame slump as he stared at my dad open-mouthed. He sighed, turning to me, his eyes glossy.

"I'm sorry, baby girl. I tried." He whispered, cupping my cheeks.

"I know." I whispered back, holding onto his hands. "I meant what I said, Jason, I only love you."

He smiled weakly, kissing my forehead "And I only love you." He sighed, letting go over me before looking at my parents. I'm sorry for wasting your time."

He pecked my cheek before he was out the door. I turned to my parents, anger rushing through me.

"Never, have I ever asked you two for anything. I've always brought home good grades, attended church whenever needed, helped whenever you asked -been the best daughter I could be, all I asked was that you let Jason and I be together, he is all I've ever wanted and you can't even grant me that?"

I scoffed, "You tell me then why I should be good or listen to you two at all?" I bit my lip, scowling at my dad "You're a priest, you're suppose to be impartial, non-judgemental but you judged Jason! You pretend to be this perfect person, pretend you never do anything wrong but you're a liar, and I hate you."

They stared at me, their expressions shocked and I scowled one more time before leaving to my room.
