I let out a heavy sigh as I threw myself onto my bed, finally out of that uncomfortable ass suit and in some sweats. I grabbed my phone, scrolling through my contacts before I landed on her name. My thumb hovered over the "call" button.

Maybe she's asleep already... Never mind.

I pressed the home button and laid my head back on the pillow, holding my phone against my chest. I licked my lips, shutting my eyes just in time for my phone to begin ringing. I lifted it up lazily and when I saw her name I jumped up, quickly pressing answer with a huge smile on my face.

"Hey, baby."

"Hey." I heard her whisper, her voice sounding sad. I frowned, my heart sinking as I sat back on the bed.

"Baby girl, what's wrong?"

"I wanna see you please?" She sniffled and I could practically feel her pain through the phone.

"Please come and g-get me?" She whispered, her voice pleading and I didn't hesitate to respond.

"I'll be there in five minutes."

I hung up and quickly pulled on a jacket before sprinting downstairs.

She came running out from behind her house, still wearing the dress she had on earlier at the dinner. She hopped into the car, her breathing heavy as she looked at me. Her eyes were red and her cheeks were tear-stained. "Baby, what's the matter?"I frowned, staring into her eyes while my hands gripped onto the steering wheel. She shook her head, tears running down her cheeks before she lifted up one of my arms, placing herself in my lap.

"Just take me away from here, please." She whispered, burying her head in my neck and wrapping her arms around my torso.

"Where do you wanna go to?" I asked softly, running my fingers over her cheek. She shrugged, sniffling slightly.

"Anywhere.... I just wanna be with you."

My heart fluttered in my chest and I smiled softly, kissing her forehead. "Alright." I started up the car and began driving back to my house. I pulled up into my driveway and turned off the engine. Iris got off my lap and out of the car while I did the same. I took her hand, leading her inside the house and up to my room. She sat down on my bed and I sat next to her, pulling her into my lap.

"What's going on, baby?" I whispered, twirling a piece of her hair around my finger. She looked at me, tears running down her cheeks again.

"I-i.. H-he.. He s-said." She sobbed, her fingers clutching onto my jacket.

"Baby." I held onto her tighter, my nose nuzzled in her hair ".. Talk to me."

She sobbed, "M-my dad said.... W-we can't be t-together.!"

My heart stopped, No. No, no, no! My breathing became heavier and I looked down at her, my heart breaking into thousands of pieces.

"D-did I do something wrong?" I muttered, my throat tightening up. She looked up at me, her eyebrows furrowing as she shook her head.

"No, you were perfect."

I scoffed, shaking my head and placing her on the bed before standing up, pacing the room. "No, I wasn't. He saw right through my little act, he saw how fucking useless I am."

I felt tears sting my eyes and she grabbed my arm. "No, don't you dare say that!" She shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks. "My dad's just being such... such an.. A-hole!"

I couldn't help letting out a chuckle at the fact that even though she was beyond angry and upset, she still wouldn't allow herself to betray her innocence, that's what I love about her so god damn much. Suddenly, I grabbed her cheeks, placing my lips on hers while pushing her up against the wall. She kissed me back, her hands holding onto my neck while my one arm wrapped around her waist and I placed my other hand in her hair. After a few moments, I pulled away, leaning my forehead onto hers. She let out a muffled cry, her breathing fast and her eyes filled with upset- panic.

"What are we gonna do, Jason?" She whispered, her voice laced with pain. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What do you mean?"

"We can't be t-together." She choked out, shutting her eyes tight like she was restraining herself from crying any more.

"Look at me." I whispered, nudging my nose against hers. She opened her eyes and I licked my lips. "Baby girl, nobody tells me what to do. If I say you're my girl and I wanna be with you, that's what's gonna go down. Nobody is gonna keep us apart, not even your father. You're mine, and I take care of what's mine..."

I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "I don't care what it'll take. I'm not letting you go."

She stared at me, her lips parted and her eyes slightly widened. Then, after a moment, her cheeks flushed and she looked down. "We're gonna have to go back to being a secret, are you okay with that?"

I wrapped both my arms around her waist, sitting down on the bed and letting her straddle my lap. "I just wanna be with you." I whispered, running my fingers through her hair before cupping her neck. "Nothing else matters to me, Iris."

She sighed in relief, laying her forehead on mine. "I was so scared you'd say we should listen to him and break up."

I chuckled lightly, pecking her lips, "Do I ever listen to anyone?"

She gave me a small, cheeky smile. "You listen to me."

I smiled, holding her tighter and brushing my lips against hers. "That's because you're my baby."

Her cheeks flushed and she giggled, wrapping her arms around my neck and linking her lips with mine. I smiled against her lips, "You have no idea how much I love you."

She smiled pulling back a little "I think I may have a clue."

I licked my lips, my face turning serious "Are you willing to do this? To lie to your parents and hide this from them? You could get in trouble if they found out."

I know this is a lot to ask, especially for her. She's so innocent and now I'm making her do all these bad things like lying and hiding. I don't want her to be ruined, like me. Her long silence made me feel worried but the next few words that came out of her mouth made butterflies erupt in my stomach and a smile break out onto my lips.

"You're worth it, Jason." She whispered before kissing me again.
