Jo's POV

"Would you like some tea miss Josephine?" Alfred asks snapping me out of my thoughts and I look up to him and smile shaking my head.

"No thank you." I say as politely as I can with the best fake smile I have and he nods smiling back and walking back into the kitchen.

Damian then walks out of the lounge and up to me and he doesn't say anything. "Dami-" I'm cut off when he hugs me.

"I'm sorry Jo." He apologises and I shake my head smiling and hugging him back.

"Don't be, I should have just left you be." I say and he stands up and I notice he's in his Robin uniform, "aren't you going on patrol?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"No, Father says until all of this is cleared up I'm going to be here with you, by your side at all times." He says and I look at him. No way is he- how? Damian's always having to run off but now he'll be with me?

"What about Gotham?" I ask and he smiles.

"Gotham has my Father and Todd protecting it so Gotham is safe as long as Jason agrees to follow father's terms." Damian says and I smile hugging him happily. He tenses for a second then smiles hugging me back.

"Why'd you tense?" I ask him and he closes his eyes.

"I've just not seen you happy for a while is all." He says then stops smiling, "It's nearly 2am, you should rest." He says and I brake apart the hug and shake my head.

"I'm not tired, you are so you go to sleep and I'll find something to occupy me." I say and he looks at me about to protest but I smile, "I'm not tired." I repeat and he sighs and nods.

"Fine, I'll rest." He says then leaves and I watch TV.
