Chapter Eleven
Damian's POV
I catch Jo as she gets towards the room that connects to the Batcave and I pin her against a wall. She looks at me then down and my shirtless figure and nervously laughs, "Damian put on a shirt." She says and I let go of her and blush before heading up to my room to have a shower and get changed. Why the hell am I blushing? She's seen me shirtless before. It's not a big deal..
**********
I walk out the shower with a towel loosely around my waist and see Jo smirking on my bed looking at me, "Damn Damian." She laughs making me blush and she starts laughing hysterically. "Oh...my..god...you..blushed!" She manages to say inbetween breaths.
"Shut up." I say embarrassed as I go to my closet and walk in, making sure to push something against the door so she doesn't come in and I get changed. When I walk out I see her scrolling through my phone.
I sit next to her and watch her, "Who are you texting?" I ask taking my phone off her and reading the messages she sent to... "Raven?!" You idiot!
She tells there's annoyance in my face, making her laugh her cute laugh and I stop being annoyed at her immediately. I sigh, I can't stay mad at her, she's my best friend.
I delete the messages before Raven could read anything and I lock my phone and put it on my beside table then look down at the smiling girl who's still lying on me bed looking up at me with her icey blue eyes.
I'm speechless for a second before she tilts her head to the side, "Damian are you ok?" She asks sounding concerned, "You're not yourself..." She says.
"I'm fine. Nothing is wrong at all." I say and she looks at me with a smile.
"You're smiling way more than usual. And you're blushing." She states and I roll my eyes.
"I probably just have a fever." I say and she looks at the cold weather outside and nods.
"Probably." She agrees then smiles again, "So are you going to tell me why Jason got mad this morning or not?" She asks again.
"You watched that criminal show on TV, he was the second Robin, figure out what makes the mention of the Joker affects him so much." I say and she immediately stands up with her mouth open.
"No freaking way." She says, "He has PTSD."
I raise a brow, "He has what?" I ask.
"It's a mental illness. Isn't he diagnosed?" She asks.
"Jason is an addict, not a solider." I say with a smirk.
She sighs, "You don't need to be a solider to have PTSD, you just need to have been through a traumatic experience."
"Like?" I ask messing around with her. She's cute when she's mad.
"Like being tortured, beaten then killed." She answers annoyed, "This isn't a joke, Jason is sick and-"
"And he's hunting your father down as we speak." I say loosing my cool, "Jason is no different than the other criminals. He doesn't have PDSD-"
"PTSD." She corrects, "And he does. Jason is sick."
"Literally everyone who goes out there goes through a lot, none of us have PTSD. Jason is a pyschopath. The second he sees joker he tries to kill him." I explain to her and she smiles.
"I study criminal minds." She says.
"Yeah, well I fight them daily and Jason is no different from the rest of the criminals, he kills both bad and sometimes good if they're on his hit list." I tell her reality.
"Well if you say so but I can see Jason is a hurt, misunderstood-"
"Just go to sleep, you didn't get a proper amount of sleep last night" I say having enough and she smiles at me making me sigh, "Look I'm sorry, I just don't like Todd." I apologise.
"Ok Wayne." She smiles closing her eyes, "Goodnight Wayne." She says and I glare at her.
"Goodnight Jo." I say using her first name then leave her to sleep and I go downstairs where Jason is drinking his life away as usual. Drunk.
