After patting Jay to sleep, Jungkook faltered inside the room only to spot you reading newspaper. It is a right time to talk he thought.

He cleared his throat as an intention of getting your attention and he was successful, you raised your head. He smiled taking a seat on the couch against you.

You knew he won't be sparing you this time and you were right when a sigh left his lips.

"Are you still a gan-gangster?" he stammered.

"Ani.. I left everything back then." you replied.

"So, saving me was your last mission?"

You nodded.

He sneered. "Why did you even saved me?" he rolled his eyes, "There wasn't any need to risk your life for me.."

You stared at him for a second. Was he in the mood of fighting? You did not spoke for a minute and he became restless.

"Aren't you going to speak? Don't you think I need an explanation? After so many years you are back and you aren't say-"

"Jungkook, saving you was my choice and I did my best."

Jungkook rose from the couch, "I never asked for that. Why did you even thought of my safety?"

"That's it...!" you rasped, getting up from the couch. "Even I never asked for a driver."

His brows raised. "Dr-Driver? What are you talking about?" he stuttered, avoiding eye contact.

You crossed your arms. "I am talking about the taxi driver you have appointed for me."

His face blanched. "So, you know about that?"

"Of course. Anyone can be suspicious. Don't blame the driver... he haven't told me anything. I was the one to find out. Why the hell did you do that?" you asked.

"Because I wanted too.."

"There wasn't any need Jungkook.. I can handle everything. I can take care of myself also, I can-"

Jungkook interrupted. "I know you can take care of yourself and Jay. I know you are strong enough to do that. I know you are stubborn. I did the arrangement because I wanted. I did because I wanted my child's mother to reach safely. How the hell can I even sleep when I know that you leave your house at night for your work? How the hell can I even sleep when I know that a random taxi driver will drop you every single night? I wanted to know every single details when you step out of your house at night...!! I want you to reach safely​.. It satisfies my male ego. Understood...??" he chided, his red-rimmed eyes getting misty as he spoke. Your eyes interlocked and you stood still. Unable to hold the emotions, he averted his eyes from you and marched outside.

You stood consuming his words which came right from his heart. You sat on the couch, lower body feeling numb but it satisfied something inside you.

Jungkook stared at you from far, you were ignoring him and he hated it. He knew it was due his words which must have been the reason of your cold behaviour towards him. Little did Jungkook know that you were not mad but awkward, it was the same feeling which aroused in your mind back then when he proposed you.

"Sir, any problem?" the helper guy at the buffet counter asked who was preparing ice-cream for him.

"Aa..nothing.." he smiled.

"Fought with your wife?" he smirked and there wasn't any need for Jungkook to reply, his expressionless face was enough. Jungkook was shocked not because he guessed it right, it was because he called you his 'wife'. His heart fluttered and he liked the feeling.

"I am right then." he looked down when he placed ice-cream cups on the counter.

"How did you know?" Jungkook took the cups in his hands.

"The way you were staring at her depicted everything. You cannot hide your feelings." he replied.

Jungkook smiled in agreement, nodding. "So, any suggestions?"

"Say sorry."

Jungkook raised his brows. "What?"

"A husband should apologize even if he is right that's the unwritten rule."

"Is that so?" Jungkook asked, thinking a bit. "Well then.. I will."

Jungkook shared a smile after thanking him.

You looked away when he entered the scene, Jay was waiting for her ice-cream after the dinner while Jungkook waited for the helper person to prepare Jay's favourite flavour.

You were smiling and talking with Jay. Jungkook did not spoke anything with you because the scene was still fresh in his mind, he waited for the right time.

After eating ice-cream, you walked towards your room. Jay and you changed your clothes while Jungkook waited in the hall.

Jay hopped on the bed when you left the room to see Jungkook sitting​ on the couch. He was busy with his mobile.

"Jungkook, you can change now."

Jungkook raised his head, nodding.

You turned as you decided to go back to Jay but then he stopped you.

"What happened?" you asked, your eyebrows snapped together.

"Sorry.."

"For what?" You questioned, slightly confused.

"About the thing happened earlier... I am sorry.. I shouldn't have did that. I was being rude. Forgive me please.." he apologized.

You blinked, he shouldn't have apologized because it is not his mistake but then your heart melted, his words were too genuine. He apologized for the mistake he never did. It was you who was the reason for his pain, it was you who made him suffer throughout these years. It was always you behind his sufferings.

"Jungkook, I-"

"Eomma.." Jay shouted from inside, you need to go. Jungkook gave a warm smile as he walk passed you inside.

Jay smiled as she sneaked from the bed, she looked at Jungkook who was sleeping, his legs spread wide, mouth slightly open and then she looked at you. You both were close, Jay was the only barrier between you but now you had none. You were just an inch away from him. She tiptoed, giggling silently​ as she walked towards the hall, she wanted to watch TV and she was aware that she can get all the freedom till the time you are sleeping.

You both were unaware that you were sleeping under the same blanket, on same bed.

Curtains billowed, cold wind entering from the window was decreasing the temperature of the room. Jungkook groaned in his sleep, resting on his side. He entered in the duvet, his eyes still shut. He tried searching for Jay in his sleep, he wanted his child close to him but instead of Jay, his hand reached out towards you and that's when he woke up, that isn't Jay, his mind signaled. Jungkook gazed at your sleeping self, he loved the idea of you lying next to him, he wanted it, he wanted all of you. Jungkook gazed at you, the way your lashes cast thin shadows on your cheeks, your morning face was beautiful he thought. Your chest rose and fell, he knew you were fast asleep and he can take this opportunity​ to stare at you till his heart content, but then he wanted to be greedy just once. He smiled as he pulled you towards his chest, slowly, encasing you with his warmth and that's when all the pain he was suffering from past few years just melted. After having you in his arms, he wasn't afraid of anything. Jungkook smiled, kissing your head. It was like a dream but so real. He wanted to freeze time just once because you were like sand, he can hold you but just for couple of minutes...

You were tired last night and all you needed was a good sleep, you were totally unaware of the fact that you both were close. You smoosh your face in his chest, the warmth was soothing, familiar and you wanted it.

An hour passed and Jungkook did not moved, his breathe stable, his heartbeats trying to sync with your beats, he was smiling like an idiot, he knew Jay was outside watching TV and she can enter anytime but he wasn't​ afraid. Everything was good but they say good time doesn't lasts forever, your phone beeped. There you opened your eyes and he closed his. You groaned a little, your eyes slowly adjusting to the light of the room and that's when your eyes widened. You were an inch close to him, in his embrace, you raised your head to see his sleepy face at a distance which you always wanted him to be. His lips were so kissable and plump, soft and pink. You smiled, your heart beats fastening. Nothing can be beautiful than this. You were pinned towards him, his hand wrapped around your waist, you smiled. He must have mistaken you for Jay you thought. What a cute mistake indeed.

A thought of pecking his cheeks aroused in your mind. You reminded yourself that you are kissing him just because its your daily habit to kiss your baby and she is not available right now, a good reason indeed..!

You almost stopped breathing when you slowly placed a small peck on his forehead, your lips ghosting on his skin.

You smiled, cursing yourself. You were away from him for almost five years, you know he is your addiction, your drug. The only things you want in your life is Jay and Jungkook. After taking a brief look at his face, you slowly freed yourself from him and then you got down from the bed. You reminded yourself that you shouldn't be greedy for the love which isn't yours, he is engaged and belongs to someone else who is not you.

You left him alone.

Jungkook opened his eyes as soon as you left, a smile was crept on his face as he touched his forehead. He rolled on the bed, celebrating.
