Jelly Bean

 After saying goodbye to the rest of the boys, you and Mark started heading home. You watched Mark as he drove with a content grin on his face. You're happy that he's so excited about his new clothing line and you know how much this means to him. Words cannot describe how proud you are of your best friend.

"Mark," you broke the silence.

"Hmm?" He hummed, tapping the steering wheel with his thumb.

"I know I already said it, but I am so so proud of you. You've accomplished so much, and I'm so glad that you're happy," you said.

"To be honest, Y/N, I really don't think I could've done any of it without you. I think that your emotional support is probably what helped me the most."

"C'mon, Mark. I didn't really do much. You did it majorly on your own."

"No, seriously, Y/N. You have no idea how much you helped me. There were times when I would be so frustrated, upset, and irritated. So much so that I would want to quit everything. There was even a time when I wanted to quit Got7, but I didn't because I knew you were rooting for me. I knew I could get through it because of your encouragement and advice. I really can't thank you enough."

You looked down at your feet shyly. Your heart is swelling due to his kind words, and you don't quite know how to respond. You're about to say something, when you're phone starts ringing. You take it out of your purse to see that Youngjae is calling you. You're a bit confused as to why he's calling because you just left the restaurant a few minutes ago.

"Who is it?" Mark asked.

"Youngjae?" You replied, still a little bewildered.

"Oh," Mark seems almost as perplexed as you, "are you going to answer?"

"I guess," you muttered.

You answer and put the phone to your ear. "Youngjae?"

"Not quite, Princess."

You could practically hear the smirk in Jaebum's tone. His voice is low and sexy with a hint of extra drunk confidence.

"Why are you-" you began to question.

"My phone died, so I'm borrowing Youngjae's for now," Jaebum explained.

"HE TOOK MY PHONE WITHOUT ASKING!" You heard Youngjae's voice yelling in the background.

"Yeah, yeah. Just focus on driving, JaeJae," Jaebum teased.

"JaeJae?" You giggled at the nickname for Youngjae.

"HE ONLY CALLS ME THAT WHEN HE'S DRUNK! HE'S VERY VERY DRUNK, Y/N!!!" Youngjae yelled so you could hear him.

You laughed. "So, what is it that you're calling for?"

"I just- uh... I just wanted to hear your voice, Princess," Jaebum said in an overly flirtatious/drunk tone, "You looked so sexy this evening. I wish you were coming home with me instead of Mark."

Your eyes widened a bit after he said that. You're shocked that Jaebum is saying these things right in front of Youngjae. He is either extremely drunk or he just doesn't care what Youngjae thinks. It's very immature of him in your opinion.

"Well," you replied, "We both know that couldn't happen.."

"I know, I know," Jaebum signed, "You don't even know the thoughts I had at the dinner table... seeing you looking all sexy. Fuck, Y/N. I just wanted to take you into the bathroom and do unspeakable things to you."

"Shhh," you shushed him, "You shouldn't say things like that out loud..."

Jaebum chuckled dryly.

"What is he even saying?" Mark asked with a hint of attitude.

"Uh.." you thought of a lie, "Youngjae just wanted to know if we got home alright."

"But we just left..." Mark said suspiciously, "And what did he say that he shouldn't say out loud?"

You chuckled nervously, "I don't know... but yeah, Youngjae, we are still driving home."

"So you're still with Mark..." Jaebum deducted from what you were saying, "Alright, Princess. I'll call you later, maybe."

"Wait, I-"

You heard the beep of the phone being hung up and sighed. You suppose now Youngjae knows about you and Jaebum since the dumbass said all those things in front of him. Maybe Youngjae will just think Jaebum is just super drunk and he'll forget about it. You hope that this becomes the case.

"That was kind of weird..." Mark admitted.

You shrugged. "I guess."

"Did Youngjae ask you to call him JaeJae or something? Is that why you said it?" Mark pressed.

"Uhh, yes?"

"He usually hates that nickname. I'm surprised he brought it up to you."

"...Oh. Look, we're home! Yay!"

You practically jumped out of the parked car without giving Mark a chance to ask any more questions. Jaebum really put you in a tight spot with that phone call. You wish he would be more careful. Mark got out of the car and locked it before following you to the front door. You waited patiently for him to unlock the door since you left your keys inside. However, he paused and looked at you with an unreadable expression.

"What?" you asked innocently.

"I feel like you've been acting weird lately..." he admitted.

Maybe Mark isn't as oblivious as you thought he was. You bit your lip. You should definitely be more careful when sneaking around him to hook up with the other guys. Wait, what are you even thinking right now. Is that really okay? Mark has done so much for you, and all you've been doing is lying to him. Maybe you should stop. Maybe it's time for you to be honest. You opened your mouth to speak, but Mark stopped you.

"I mean," Mark scratched the back of his neck, "I know a lot has been happening for you, with you being kicked out of your apartment and all, so that's probably why."

"Partially, I guess so," You admitted, "but, Mark, I don't think I've been transparent with you lately..."

You watched Mark's expression carefully. His eyebrows lifted a bit, waiting for you to continue. You took a deep breath. You suppose it's all going to spill out of you at this very second. You reached out and took Mark's hand in both of yours. His expression immediately switched to worry when you did this.

"Mark," you looked directly into his eyes, "you're my everything, and I should have told you this sooner... I just haven't found the right time to. I feel like it's now or never, and I have to come clean at this point."

You felt a tear slip from the corner of your eye. You bit your lip and tried to fight back any more tears. You feel like your lungs are closing in on themselves, and you try to take deep breaths. You're extremely worried about his reaction, and what will happen after you tell him everything. All of your anxieties are suddenly swarming your head like bees to a beehive.

He's going to hate you.

He's going to hate his bandmates.

He's going to kick you out.

Got7 is going to completely change and it'll be your fault.

He'll never forgive you.

Your trust with him will be ruined.

Your friendship will be over.

Your life will be over.

You'll lose Mark forever.

You tried to stifle a sob, but it was too late. Your tears started flowing like a waterfall. And what did your best friend do? He immediately wrapped you in his arms. He pulled you as close to him as physically possible. You felt your tears wetting his shirt, but you couldn't control them at all. You heard keys jingling as Mark unlocked the door while holding you. He opened the front door and then scooped you up in his arms, bridal style.

You're still crying uncontrollably, and all you could do is bury your face into his shoulder. You heard the door shut behind you as Mark walked inside with you. You can't see where he's taking you, but you don't really care. Your anxiety is through the roof and you feel your entire body shaking in Mark's arms. He carefully sat down on the couch with you in his lap. After a few minutes or so, your sobbing has subsided. Your hands are still covering your face as you started to catch your breath.

"Y/N," Mark said softly, "let me see you, please."

You hesitantly removed your hands from your face, letting them fall into your lap. Your gaze never left your hands as you fumbled with them, not wanting to look at Mark yet.

"Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" he asked quietly.

You sniffled but continued fumbling with your hands. You were so ready to come clean, but now you can't seem to find the right words. You feel like there's a lump in your throat. Mark sighed softly.

"I-I'm sorry," you managed to croak out.

Your voice is a bit hoarse from crying, but you know Mark understood.

"I can't help you feel better if you don't tell me what's up," Mark rubbed his thumb in circles on your arm, "You know what I mean, Jelly Bean?"

You cracked a smile at the nickname.

"Ha! I saw that!" Mark exclaimed.

You giggled a little and wiped your tear-stained cheeks with your hands. You finally looked at Mark to see him smiling at you with soft eyes.

"It's been a while since you called me Jelly Bean," you mumbled.

When you guys first became friends, you used to act all tough around him. You tried to pretend that other people's harsh words didn't affect you. You used to be a very cold and closed off person, even to people you called your friends. That is until Mark got to know you better. After you became closer, he found out that you were a super emotional person and that you actually had pretty bad anxiety (especially in High School). He came up with the nickname, Jelly Bean, for you because he said you were 'hard and closed off on the outside, but squishy and emotional on the inside'. Back then you told him that the nickname was 'cheesy as fuck' but he knew that deep down you liked it. It's been maybe a year or so since you last heard it, and you must admit, you kind of missed it.

"You're right," Mark said, "I need to start using it more often."

"Please no," you replied.

"You know you like it, Jelly Bean."

You tried to hide your grin but failed miserably. Mark laughed lightly and brought you a bit closer to his chest. He pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead, making you feel a little better.

"I don't know what got you so upset," Mark began, "but you know I'm always here for you. I will always have your back like I know you have mine. Nothing, and I mean nothing will ever change that."

You sighed, "Thank you. I really needed to hear that."

You two remained like this for a while; you in Mark's lap, being held close to his chest. You could hear his heartbeat, which calmed you more than you thought it would. You know you're going to have to tell your secret to him eventually. There's no doubt about that. It's just going to take you some time to do it. For now, though, you're just going to stay in this moment with your best friend.

"Y/N, we gotta go! We're gonna be late!" You heard Hyuna call from downstairs.

"Coming!" You called back.

You grabbed your purse from your bed and rushed down the steps. You saw Hyuna waiting in the living room, and she smiled widely when she saw you.

"You look hot," she blurted.

"So do you," you replied while giving her a hug, "as always."

"You ready to go?" she asked.

"Yup!" you chirped, "Let me just go grab some water real quick."

Hyuna nodded and followed you into the kitchen. As soon as you walked into the room, a big smile appeared on your face. On the kitchen table, Mark left you two water bottles, two VIP passes attached to lanyards, and two ahgabongs. When you approached the table, you also saw a note he left for you.

When you get to the venue, go to the entrance and text me. I'll have a staff member come get you guys. Keep the passes on and don't lose them! Please take the water and stay hydrated. The lightsticks have new batteries in them so they should be good to go. See you hoes at the concert later.

- Mark :)

"Hoes?" Hyuna questioned.

You turned your head to see her reading the note over your shoulder. You giggled and grabbed the stuff. You put the items in your purse and Hyuna did the same for hers.

"Now we're ready," you said excitedly.

"Let's go!" Hyuna exclaimed.

~~~~~~~~~~
You immediately gasped when you got out of the taxi. You've been to this concert venue before, but you've never seen this many people lined up outside of it. The line stretched all the way down the street and around the corner. Not to mention, you know the line is way longer than what you can see since the show is completely sold out. Hyuna squealed excitedly and locked arms with you.
"I'm actually super psyched now that we're here," she admitted, pulling you as she walked towards the venue.
"Me too, actually," you agreed, "It's been a minute since I've seen the guys live. I can't wait!"
As you walked, you noticed some people in line looking at you and Hyuna, and you grew a bit nervous. You hope that they aren't mad that you two are basically cutting the whole line. You could tell that some people camped out overnight for their spots in line.
"Is that Y/N? Mark's friend?" You heard someone say.
You turned your head and saw a bunch of fans pointing at you and Hyuna. Your immediate reaction was to run. You've dealt with some fans before, and those instances have not been so great. Hyuna stopped walking as she noticed what was going on as well. And, to your horror, she started talking to the fans.
"You guys know Y/N?" she asked a group of them, "You guys must be very devoted fans!"
The fans all started talking at once excitedly. You could only make out half of what was being said.
"Holy shit! It is Y/N!!"
"Oh my god, Y/N, say hi to Mark for us!!!"
"We love you, Y/N!!"
"Are you and Mark dating?!"
"Mark's best friend!! Hi!!!"
"Tell the members we love them!!!"
As the crowd got louder, you and Hyuna started walking again.
"Enjoy the show, everyone!!!" You yelled over the crowd.
Then you and Hyuna booked it to the entrance. You both put your VIP passes on, and showed them to the security. They let you inside, and then you took out your phone to text Mark.
You: We're inside now.
MARKY MARK :) : Okay. Where are you exactly?
You: We're by the snack stand closest to the entrance.
MARKY MARK :) : Oh word. Can you grab me a soft pretzel?
You: Deadass?
MARKY MARK :) : Deadass. JB wants one too.
You: -_-
MARKY MARK :) : Don't you "-_-" me. Btw get them quick. Someone's on their way to get you two now.
You: Fineeee :))
MARKY MARK :) : <3
After buying the pretzels, you and Hyuna were approached by a woman wearing all black with a lanyard that read "GOT7 STAFF" on it. She's holding a walkie talkie and a clipboard that she's staring at.
"Y/N and Hyuna?" she asked, not glancing up from her clipboard.
"Yes," you replied.
"Follow me please."
She abruptly turned around and began to walk away. You and Hyuna had to run a little bit in order to catch up. The woman picked up her walkie talkie and began talking into it.
"Got the girls. Bringing them now."
Meanwhile, you and Hyuna started panting while trying to keep up with her. The woman is walking at an extremely brisk pace, making you and Hyuna have to speed walk in order to not lose her around corners. The woman finally stopped at a door, allowing you two to catch your breath. She unlocked it with a keycard and then opened it. You both followed her inside, letting the door close behind you. She led you down a narrow hallway, passing a few miscellaneous doors on the way. She stopped at one door labeled "Dressing Room" and you relaxed a bit knowing you'd be with Mark soon. She knocked and opened the door a little bit to show who it was. The security inside the room recognized her and nodded for you all to enter.
"Ayyyy!" You heard someone shout.
BamBam came over and hugged you immediately since he was closest to the door. You giggled as he pulled away. He noticed Hyuna behind you and hugged her as well.
"BamBam!" Someone yelled.
"Oh, shit. Sorry, stylist," BamBam apologized, letting go of Hyuna. "I didn't wrinkle my outfit. I swear!"
The woman who yelled, who you presume to be the stylist, gave BamBam a disapproving look. She beckoned for him to come to her, and he did so with his head down. You looked around the rest of the room, seeing how busy everyone is. Jackson and Jaebum are eating while their hair is being styled. Jinyoung and Yugyeom are getting their outfits fixed by the stylists, along with BamBam now. Youngjae appears to be doing some vocal warmups while getting his earpiece and mic pack set up. Mark is sitting in a chair all by himself while getting his makeup done. You approach him and hand him his pretzel.
"Oh thank the fucking lord," he breathes, taking the pretzel from your grasp, "I'm starving."
Hyuna giggled. "You didn't eat anything before?"
Mark nodded, "I did. I had breakfast, but we've been practicing all morning, so now I'm hungry again."
"Why didn't you just get what Jackson and Jaebum are eating?" you asked him.
"Those two idiots didn't eat anything at all today. Plus, there isn't enough time for all of us to eat," he explained, "We're a bit short-staffed today. There are only two people doing hair and only one makeup artist. Half of the guys don't even have makeup on yet."
"Damn..." you mumbled.
The show starts in almost an hour. The boys should be ready and warming up by now. You're shocked to see that most of them aren't even close to being ready. Suddenly, the woman with the clipboard approached you guys.
"Would you two say you are good at makeup?" she asked you and Hyuna.
"Uhhh... Kind of?" you replied, unsure.
"I'm decent at it?" Hyuna responded.
The woman looked at both of your faces. You suppose she's examining both of your makeup right now. Today Hyuna did a smokey eye look with red lipstick, and you did some light eyeshadow with winged eyeliner and a light lipgloss. You know you both are good at makeup when doing it on yourselves, but you've never done someone else's makeup before.
"We're super short-staffed today. Can you do the boys' makeup?" She asked, "I have pictures of the concept we're going for that you can go off of."
"I mean," you replied, "I guess we can."
Hyuna nodded, "Should be fun."
"It needs to be quick, not 'fun'," clipboard woman snapped.
Hyuna glanced at you nervously and you shrugged.
"Alright, let's get to it then," the woman said, "Hyunah, you can start on Youngjae's makeup. Y/N, you start on Jaebum's."
Within moments, Jaebum was sat on a chair in front of you. You examined the photo reference you were given, and then examined the makeup spread on the table before you. You sighed.
"What's wrong? Worried you might mess up my face?" Jaebum asked with his usual smirk.
"Can't mess it up any more than it already is," You snapped back.
Jaebum frowned at you and crossed his arms over his chest. You rolled your eyes at his dramatics.
"C'mon, I'm just joking, JB," you said, pinching his cheek.
Jaebum pulled away from your fingers with a scowl on his face. "I want Hyuna to do my makeup instead."
"Oh, really? Well, what if I give you a soft pretzel?" you asked, pulling the other one you bought out of your purse.
"Hmmm... I suppose then you could do my makeup. Maybe."
"Wow, what a privilege! I can't believe I get to touch IM JAEBUM's face. I might faint."
"Sarcasm doesn't look good on you, Princess."
"Shhhhh."
You shoved a piece of pretzel into his mouth to shut him up. His brows furrowed as he chewed the piece. You handed him the rest of the pretzel, which he reluctantly took. You gazed over the makeup on the table again and picked up the foundation.
"This should be interesting," you muttered to yourself.
