Cows
The land was quite flat here, there weren't any hills, inclines or declines, just a flat highway. It was also mostly just fields, which had confused you, and you then saw cows on the field. Wait, why we're they just roaming around in the open?
"I wouldn't question anything here in America..." Arthur sighed. "Especially here in Florida..."
"Bro, this is where a restaurant is!" Alfred exclaimed. "They have the cows there so they have a steady income of meat!" Alfred seemed a bit too happy at this.
"Oh, alright..." (Yes this is an actual thing I saw it when I visited Florida for two weeks lol) You sighed, continuing to watch as the group of cows were only getting larger, and as the sun disappeared over the horizon.
"Bro this is the sunshine state, so why don't you cheer up a little?" Alfred asked a bit sadly. "You're always so salty Arthur, even more than my McDonald's fries..."
"How dare you compare me to your bloody McDonald's fries!" Arthur shouted angrily. You zoned out while Arthur was yelling at Alfred, and then you felt a tap on your shoulder.
"Hey, _____, you haven't met Lovi yet, have you?" Feliciano asked from behind you, which has kind of freaked you out a bit before you remembered that there was more people in the van.
"Don't call me that, idiot. I'm Lovino." The man that voice belonged to sounded very annoyed and agitated.
"Oh, uh, hi Lovino," You greeted him, not sure of what to think of him. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, also don't eat his food." Lovino sounded like he was speaking from experience, and Feliciano nodded in agreement.
"My food is fine, thank you very much!" Arthur protested, his voice raising, scaring Lovino off.
"Not.... Really...." Gilbert said.
"Fine, let's have _____ try, since she's not opinionated!" Arthur suggested proudly.
"_____ if you value your taste buds I'd recommend not eating it..." Francis whispered.
"I'll try.... A bite," You decided, and you were filled with determination.
"Splendid!" Arthur exclaimed happily, his eyes sparkling for a moment. He took out a small scone and gave it to you, and you took a bite.
For the first few moments, it was fine, and not that bad, and then you saw why he told you not to eat it. Living in England your whole life made you somewhat immune, but this was just obsurd.
The first thing you noticed was the lack of flavor, making it even harder to stand before death itself caressed your taste buds, and took over your mouth like fire surrounded by curtains.
Swallowing, you did your best to not gag or show any sign of disgust, but you ultimately failed when the corners of your vision began to darken. Spots of color danced around your eyes before being completely consumed by darkness when your eyelids fell shut, locking you in.
