Dick Pancake

Castiel exclaimed, "How about Dick Pancake!"

Dean laughed, "Got any other bright ideas?"

"Fucking cinnamon apple? Or I guess I could just stick with calling you Dean for right now."

"Do whatever your little heart desires."

"So I can call you Dick Pancake? Or my fucking cinnamon apple?"

"I swear to god Cas!"

"Alright, alright, Dean."

Dean smiled slightly, "I like how you say my name."

"You do?"

"Yeah it has a nice ring to it."

They exchanged glances. When Dean focused his eyes back on to the road Cas started blushing a little because he couldn't help it for some reason. The music played on and they didn't speak for the remaining twenty minutes of the ride.

Dean pulled into a diner parking lot. Cas and him got out of the car with their bookbags. They walked inside and sat at a booth in the corner. The place wasn't very busy except a few guys sitting at the counter.

Cas asked, "So how did you find this place?"

"I came here when I was younger."

"You did? Well it's really nice here."

"Yeah it is. I know we won't be able to come here often because of the distance, but I like coming here. I came here when I was little with my mom. She told me it was my special getaway. I miss her sometimes."

Cas paused and then spoke, "If you don't mind my asking, but what happened to her?"

"She um left. Last year actually. She took my little brother with her and that's what killed me the most. She's going to come back some day. Soon she goes to trial for custody of both Sammy and I."

"Why does she only have Sammy and not you?"

"That's a story for another time, Cas..."

"Yeah, I understand, sorry."

"It's fine."

The waitress came over to take their order. Dean ordered coffee and Cas ordered a hot tea. The waitress wrote it all down on her pad and walked away.

Cas said, "Hey, I know you just started school, but I'm really struggling with the math. Do you think you can help me?"

Dean smiled, "Yeah I'm pretty good at it. I can help you."

They began pulling out their books, paper, and pencils to begin working. The waitress returned with their drinks. Dean looked up at her nametag to thank her, "Uh thank you-Hannah."

Hannah smiled, "Anything else I can get you two love birds?"

Cas started to correct her, but Dean cut him off, "My boyfriend and I would like the special. Please and thank you."

Hannah said, "Ha! I knew you two were a couple! Even if you guys weren't I'd still ship it."

She walked away and the two laughed. Cas smirked, "So I'm your boyfriend now?"

"Well you're a boy and my friend if that works out."

Cas laughed, "Okay whatever you say, Pancake Dick."

"Oh shut up, Cas."

"Make me, Pancake Dick."

Hannah was walking by, "Now, now boys there is no fighting or "doing the do" inside the restaurant. If you want to do either of those things, you must take you and your sexual tension outside."

Dean laughed and shouted to her as she walked away, "I'll keep that in mind, Hannah."

She shouted back as she went behind the counter, "You're whalecum!"

Cas looked at Dean, "Did she just say 'whalecum'?"

"I believe she did."

The two laughed and focused their attention back on their homework. They did their homework for a good our and only stopped to eat. After awhile, Cas had asked, "Are you ever going to tell me the story with your family?"

"Yeah someday. I'm not a very open person. I don't like people getting into my business if I don't know them that well."

Cas nodded, "Yeah I know what you mean. So do you want to start heading home, it's getting late?"

Dean pulled out some cash for a tip, having already paid the bill. On the way out Hannah stopped them with a tray in her hands, "Are you guys leaving?"

Dean said, "Yeah, we gotta get home. We have school tomorrow and home is an hour away from here."

"Alright. Come back soon you two. I look forward to seeing how the relationship goes."

Cas spoke, "You know we aren't dating, right?"

She laughed, "Psh the way you two act? You must be in denial. Have a good night, guys."

They both said in unison, "You too."

They left the establishment with smiles on their faces. Dean put his keys in ignition and sped down the street. Cas had so many questions he wanted to ask him, but he knew Dean wouldn't give him an answer since they both had just met.

Upon arrival to Cas' house at around 9 pm. Dean seemed worried. Cas asked, "What's wrong?"

"Uh it's nothing. Dad'll just have my head if I'm late coming home."

Cas leaned over and hugged Dean, "Good luck. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yeah hopefully," Dean said nervously. Cas got out of the car and started walking inside his house as he heard the engine of the impala roar on.

He unlocked the door with the key under the mat and right away walked in on Charlie making out with what Cas assumed was Ruby. Cas coughed awkwardly and Charlie stopped, "Oh hey Cassie. Um this is Ruby."

Cas nodded, "I figured," and he walked straight past them and to his room.

A few minutes later Charlie walked in, "Is something wrong, Cas?"

"I don't know. I'm just worried about my friend Dean. He seems basically terrified to go home or even the mention of home."

"Well you can tell him he's always welcome here to spend the night."

"Thanks, Charles. I'll tell him that tomorrow. And sorry if I came off rude to Ruby."

"It's okay. She won't last anyways because I'm not a one bitch kind of person."

Cas laughed, "Charlie!"

"Hey, it's true. What can I say? Bitches love me."

"On that note, I think I'm going to go to bed early."

"Don't you mean stay up for two more hours watching Netflix?"

Cas said, "That is exactly what I mean."

"Then I'll go make some popcorn and you better make some room on that bed for me."

"Okay, okay, Charles. Avengers sound good?"

"When does Avengers not sound good? Come on get your head out of your ass, Cas," Charlie yelled back as she left the room.
