Chapter 1: Elara run!
Living in Pine Hill wasn't easy. It was a small town where everyone knew everything which made the lives of teenagers a little miserable, but, from time to time they got to have their share of fun. Just like on the last Saturday night of spring break. Most of the students were gathered around a bonfire at the outskirt of town, near the woods.
Elara looked around pointing out the faces she knew and she noticed a lot of juniors were at the party as well. She remembered when she was a junior, she was never allowed to parties like these.
"Earth to the moon! Elara! Hey Elara!"
Elara's gaze snapped to her friend Sophie Evans with a confused look "Why are you shouting my name so loud? I'm right here."
"Are you?" Sophie chuckled along with their friend Laura "You were out for a few minutes, lost in thoughts and Laura just said she spotted Sean and he came in alone."
"Yep! He's totally alone El, if you want to make your move it's now or never" Laura said giddily.
Elara's eyes went big and she searched the crowd again only to find Sean standing alone gazing at the woods. Without thinking much of it, she jumped on her feet and walked to him as if she was in a trance.
"Hi" she simply said when she reached him.
He slowly turned to face her and raised an eyebrow "Hi?"
"I'm going into the woods, wanna join?"
"What? No, you're not, why would you do that?"
"Why not? We're here to have fun. Come on!" She walked further away knowing he would follow her. She was a little scared he wouldn't and would find herself all alone in the middle of the woods in the dark, but she heard a branch crack and knew he was behind her.
"Thank you so much for coming out here with me!" Elara smiled at Sean who was still trailing behind her. She's had a crush on him since junior high, and he never gave her the attention she was looking for. He was always treating her like a classmate and nothing more. Sometimes he would even act as if she wasn't there, which really annoyed her since she was part of the popular crowd at Pine Hill High. No one ignored her. In fact, everyone tried to be friends with her except Sean and his buddies. They seemed to distance themselves from everyone else for some reason.
Now that she had him all to herself, she was determined to make a move. It was her last chance since they were now seniors and she wasn't always allowed to go party all night.
"Of course Elara, I wouldn't let you come out in the woods alone," he said sweetly looking back at the campsite. "I still don't get why you wanted to take a walk in the woods when the party is all over there" Sean pointed to the distant figures dancing around the bonfire.
"Are you scared?" She stopped walking and turned around facing him with a teasing smile.
"Scared? Why would I be scared?"
"Maybe you're worried some wild animal would attack us?" She grinned gliding her nail from his jaw to his neck. Sean gulped. He was very tempted to make a move on her, but it was the full moon he wouldn't risk it.
"There hasn't been any animal attack in these parts of California. That's why we chose this specific spot." He said nonchalantly and worked hard to seem un-affected by her touch.
"Are you sure about that?" Elara asked as she walked deeper in the woods "My grandpa told me there was a time when Pine Hill woods were the most dangerous parts of California."
She never really believed in all the stories her grandpa used to tell her, they sounded unrealistic and illogical. But she always humored the old man. Elara lost her mother in a car accident when she was only a three-year-old girl with piggy tails, and her dad just left her a year later to be raised by the one and only Daniel Bell, her grandpa. Elara owed him everything as he took care of her and always put her needs before his.
"Your grandpa?" Sean chuckled "And you believe him?" he knew exactly what she was talking about but he had to keep denying it. No one could find out about them.
Realizing they were far enough from the crowd and the bonfire, Elara turned around swiftly pushing him to a tree trunk taking in his beauty. She admired how his handsome face was showered with the moonlight accentuating his features. He was a beautiful sight to look at, with his high cheekbones, thin lips, and brown hair. His hair alone would drive her crazy. She took the time to dive into his blue eyes feeling as if she could get lost in them.
"Does it matter?" she said taking off her blouse and throwing it on the ground. She could see he was shocked and took a step forward to make a point.
"What are you doing Elara?" Sean asked eyeing her fingers that were now working on her denim pants. She was alluring, and he wanted her, more than ever, but something in him kept restraining his urges.
"If I have to explain it to you, it doesn't matter." she turned around hoping he would call her back. But sadly as she pulled her pants back on, he still hadn't said anything. She frustratingly let out a heavy sigh leaning down to pick up her blouse that had dirt all over for nothing.
"Wait..." he grabbed her arm pulling her back to him before she could put her top back on. Elara wore a winner's smile as she looked deep into his eyes only to feel his gaze drop down to her bra and suddenly making her self-conscious. She had never done this before, was this the way she wanted it to happen? She wasn't sure anymore. She was starting to have seconds thoughts and was about to call it off when Sean's velvety voice reminded her how much she wanted him.
"You're right, you shouldn't explain. I just didn't know you were interested in me that way" he brushed her left cheek with his thumb leaning in for a kiss making her legs turn into jelly.
As soon as she felt his lips brush over hers, Elara's whole world exploded. It was a dream come true. Every reasonable thought she still had in that half-drunken head of hers just flew away leaving her parched for attention. Sean's attention, to be exact. He broke the kiss for a few seconds to look into her eyes, maybe trying to make sure the girl facing him hadn't changed her mind.
Sean kissed her again ignoring the warning bells he was hearing in his head. The kiss started gentle but soon became fervent and laced with want and longing. He had his hands roaming her bare back looking for her bra. Without a care in the world, Sean ripped her bra in half earning a gasp from his innocent prey. He smirked with satisfaction before dipping his head to her neck leaving a trail of hot kisses on her soft skin. He stopped at her collarbone and nibbled her skin while undoing her denim buttons.
Elara could feel how impatient he grew, she helped him with her pants and stood completely naked before him. Sean pulled off his shirt and threw it aside never leaving her gaze. She then grew a pair and did something she never had before. Dropping on her knees, she opened his flies and freed his erection. She gulped at the size of it, thinking it might hurt her. She held it with one hand not really knowing what to do. But she followed her instincts and put it in her mouth starting with long, slow licks from top to bottom. Elara teased the head a little with her tongue making him groan for more.
Hearing Sean groan like that amused her, she loved that she was affecting him so much with only a few licks. Surprising herself more than Sean, Elara took him completely in her mouth deep throating him.
Sean growled closing his eyes as his mind traveled on cloud nine while his body was being controlled by his wolf. When the wolf was fully in control, Sean opened his eyes in realization and stared up at the full moon.
"Shit" he whispered as he held her hair tightly in a firm grasp and pulled her away. "Ellara run!" he let out the words in a raspy voice hardly able to breathe.
"Sean? What's going on? Are you okay?" she kept asking looking at the boy in front of her.
Sean was kneeling down holding his stomach and not looking at her. He couldn't look up. If he did, she would see his eyes, his real eyes. She would be able to see his sharp canines, his pointy ears. He felt a bone crack in his arm and screamed.
"What was that?" Elara quickly put Sean's shirt on "Sean, did you hear the snap? I think someone is out there" she whispered looking around.
Sean knew it was his bones cracking, but took it as a getaway ticket.
"Elara leave! I'll deal with the perv" he started breathing in and out, trying to delay his shift. Fighting the shift always hurt more than it would but he couldn't let Elara know about him. He couldn't let her know he was a werewolf. It wasn't his first shift, he'd been a werewolf since he was born. Usually, he was in control all the time unless something really pissed him off his wolf would take control in a second. But tonight Sean was affected by the full moon. He wasn't in control anymore as his bones started cracking one after the other.
When Elara heard another snap she got really scared and started running. She kept running and running as tears fell down her cheeks. The frightened girl heard a loud scream, a scream of pain making her run even faster. As fast as her legs would allow her to go. A few minutes later, Elara stopped for a moment to breathe and her thoughts went back to Sean. What if he was the one screaming? She thought and looked back to where they just stood a while ago but She saw nothing. There was no one there... maybe Sean had gotten away?
Just as Elara turned around wanting to go back to the campsite, she heard a branch snap behind her and stopped moving. Her eyes went wide when she heard a growl... an animal was behind her, growling at her. Her grandpa was right, these woods were dangerous and she shouldn't have come here. She slowly turned around breathing hard. She covered her mouth in order to stop the scream as she saw the biggest brown wolf she'd ever seen in her life before.
The animal was beautiful but scary. It was growling at her menacingly as she slowly took a step back. I'm sorry, grandpa. She thought before making the worst mistake ever. She briskly turned around and started running for her life. Looking back, she saw the wolf running after her, and damn he was fast. In a matter of seconds, he had caught up to her.
"Helllllpppp!! Please, anyone!" Elara started crying and screaming for help but she was too deep in the woods. No one would be able to hear her out there. The wolf leaped up tackling her to the ground and growled in her face, his saliva dripping all over the frightened girl. She saw him bare his sharp long teeth and closed her eyes praying for someone to come and rescue her.
Elara was hearing voices far away, she didn't know if it was her imagination playing tricks on her or someone was actually around. She gained hope and started screaming again and again. But all hope faded when she felt the hot breath of the animal on her neck, she froze with her eyes tightly shut close. His canines sank in, tearing through her soft flesh making her scream louder before everything went black.
