Carlisle's POV

"What about Ohana!! Ohana means family and family means-"

"Honey we're home!!" We hear Emmett shout.

"Why do you always have to shout Emmett?"

"Oh shut up Edward. Hey gu-Oh. What you guys watching?" He asks referring to the show we were watching.

"Lilo and Stitch." Ness replies, getting up and going over to her parents, hugging them, then giving Jacob a fist bump.

"How was school?" I ask them, pausing the movie. Standing up.

"Like school. How was meeting your mate?" Alice asks, a big smile taking over her face. I couldn't stop the smile that came on mines as well, and seeing it caused the others to smile as well.

"We're happy for you Carlisle." Bella congratulates me.

"Yeah she seems really nice." Jasper says.

"And she has style." Rosalie adds, and Alice agrees happily.

"Darling, the owner of the bakery is planning to set the both of you up. Her thoughts are very amusing." Edward says chuckling.

"Well...you know you normally invade minds before doing introductions." Jacob comments, folding his arms.

"I don't always invade people's thoughts Jacob."

"Could've fooled me." He states, Edward goes to grab him, but Bella grabs his arm before he could reach him. Jacob making distance between them as well.

"Stop before Edward hurts you Jake." Bella tells him off.

"Like he'll listen. Both of you aside. We have dinner at Ms. D's for 8 tonight." Rose tells me. I look to Alice.

"What did you do Alice? You guys were just suppose to stop by for some cupcakes."

"Hey! I didn't do anything. This was all Darling's idea." She says, throwing her hands up in surrender.

"As much as I'm happy you're getting to see your mate Carlisle, I am not looking forward to eating dirt." Rose says.

"You guys could of declined."

"Ehhh it's not so easy saying no to her." Jacob says scratching the back of his neck.

Gwen's POV

After a long day, it's nice to be home. However, it would be better if these two would stop arguing. We're in the TV room right now, and Aiden and Henry are arguing over what movie we should watch for movie night on Friday.

"Tarzan 2!"

"Bwoda bear 2!"

"Tarzan!"

"Bwoda bear!!!"

"Guys stop it!" Aiden folds his little arms over his chest, standing in front of Henry. His cute angry face on, glaring at Henry. He's clearly feeling a lot better now since I gave him his medication.

"Okay guys,movie night aside for awhile. We have dinner over by Ms. D tonight for 8."

"Yea! Ms. D cooks rweally good mommy." He cheers, argument long forgotten.

"She does doesn't she." I say picking him up and putting him to sit on my lap. Henry just picks up his nintendo and instead of playing, turns it off.

"I think you should warn him about the other guests that will be there." He says coming up to sit on the couch.

"I know." I put him to stand in front of me again.
"Aiden baby, it's not only going to us alone as usual. Ms. D invited the new family that moved here, over as well." His mouth formed a little O shape.

He's cute.

"Don't worry mommy. Henry and I powtect you." Awwww.

"My heros." I say placing my hand over my heart, adding some spice called dramatic to it. Henry rolls his eyes at me, standing up.

"We should go get ready. You know how Ms. D is about time." He says, walking off.

"At least I have you to laugh at my jokes eh Aidie." I tell him, pinching his nose, making him giggle.

Carlisle's POV

"Let's go guys!" I say, as we get ready to leave.
"Esme and Luis should be here around 10." I tell Bella.

"Don't worry guys we'll be safe." She reassures us, but I know she meant that for Edward and Jacob sakes.

Edward kisses her one last time, before we had over to his car.

Edward, Jake, Jasper and Alice are with him in his car, while the rest of us are tagging along in my car. Ms. D had sent Edward the address to her home, so I would be following behind him.

As happy as I am about finding my mate, the possiblity of her being human is a little...concerning to me. Especially after everything we have just been through.

According to Edward, Ms. D lived more south of Jashville, so we had a decent drive to reach here.

Jashville is split into three particular areas. The Forest Ranges, where we lived. The city and the southern valleys, where we're heading to right now.

Jashville is like one big gated town/community. Honestly when Regard told me about it, and when we got here, I was astonished by the beauty and governing of the place. Those in charge are very particular about who can reside here and visit.

We passed a few houses before pulling up to a beautiful white house.

Ms. D's House

Getting out of our cars we were greeted by a gleeful Ms. Darling, running out her door.

"Hello! Welcome welcome welcome!"

"Hello again Ms. Darling." I stretch my hand out for her to shake, but she hits it away.

"Oh none of that. We're practically about to be family. Call me Ms. D." She says, pulling me into a hug. I chuckle, giving her a tiny squeeze.

She pulls away after a few seconds, looking at the others, who gave her small waves and greetings of good night.
"Where's Bella?"

"Oh. She's staying home to receive my sister and her husband. She sends her apologies for not being able to join us."

"Oh well, I'll just have to send some of my famous pie with you guys for her. Silly me. Come on in" she says leading the way into her house. The interior of the house suited her perfectly. Lively and bright.

We sat down in the living room, having small conversation while we waited for Gwen and her family to come.

Edward had filled me in on the fact that Gwen had a son, and that it seems she also takes care of her little brother as well. I have no problem at all, but I wonder where her parents are, and what of her son's father? Is he still in the picture?

"Oh where is this girl. I specifically told her not to be late. Let me call her." She excuses herself, walking towards the front door.

"Calm down Carlisle." Jasper tells me.

"Sorry." I take an unneeded deep breath.
"Are you guys sure you're okay with another human, being apart of our lives?"

"Honestly, Carlisle you deserve to be with your mate. We know how long you have waited." Shockingly, it was Rosalie who said this, and it gave me greater sense of peace.

"I mean... you guys handled it pretty well when Edward did it." Jacob says causing Edward to glare at him.

Shaking my head.
I can't with these two.

"Okay so they are walking over right now. They should be here in-" Darling says walking back to us, but is interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing.

She runs back to the door, and we all stand up, facing the entrance. An overwhelming sense of happiness came over me as I heard her voice again.

Do I look okay? Does she remember me? Of course she would. She would right? I mean we only met today.

"Calm down Carlisle." Edward says, smiling softly.

"If you could, you would be a sweating mess right now." Alice says taking hold of my hand, giving it a little squeeze, Jasper using his power to send a wave of calmness my way.

"Thanks guys." They smile.

"Do you guys have anything other than black Gwen?" I hear Ms. D say as they come inside. The three of them laughing at what she said.

My beautiful mate and her family walks in all matching in black. She wore a plain knee length black dress that complimented her beautifully. Her hair pulled back in a neat low bun. She didn't have on much make up, and truly she did not need it.

Her brother I would assume and Aiden, are wearing matching black jerseys and jeans, and they all had on the same black sneakers.
"Look who's here everyone!"

"Umm Hi. Again." She shyly waves. Her brother simply nods to us and the cute little guy giving us a big smile.

Edward's POV

We all sat in the living room while Ms. Darling and Henry were in the kitchen. Gwen sat on Ms. D's one seater chair, with Aiden on her lap.

Do one has spoken really since Ms. D left and it's a little awkward.

The awkwardness is killing me.
Rosalie thinks, glacing at me.

"Sorry about them. They're normally not this awkward." Jacob says, causing her and Aiden to laugh.

"That's okay. It's expected." She replies, glancing in Carlisle's direction.

I have to say this was one time I'm grateful for Jacob's annoying remarks. But I'll never tell him that. Carlisle sat there just staring at her, and her sometimes, casting glances at him.

His thoughts are beginning to give me a headache. But if I must be honest...I haven't heard a word from Gwen since she arrived. It was the same at the bakery as well.

As they carried on conversation, I try to focus in on her mind, only to hear the soft sound of wind blowing.

Interesting.

It's not like she's blocking me off, but I can't hear words just, the wind.

"Aiden is two actually." I hear her say, breaking me out of my concentration.

"He's really cute." Rosalie says, causing him to hide his face on his mother's body, blushing. The action causing us all to awe at him.

It was long after, Ms. D calls out to us and we all get up, gathering around the table. The food looked absolutely delicious. Sadly we won't be able to experience its true taste.

Food

"I give you Ms. D's homemade Chicken Alfredo, Broccoli Salad, Cheese and Bacon crossings and another famous one of mines. My homemade orange juice."

"Everything looks amazing Ms. D." Carlisle tells her.

"Thank you. I would've made a lot more, but seeing as this was on short notice,I hope this is okay."

"It's more than okay Ms. Darling. Don't worry." Carlisle reassures her. I didn't miss the small smile that came on Gwen's face by his words, before she placed Aiden into his high chair.

'Still. next time I'll cook a four course meal." She says, determined.

All now in our seat, Ms. D leads us in a short pray before motioning us to enjoy. Jacob wastes no time, digging in. Moaning at the taste of the food. Complimenting her.

Gwen, her brother and son, also begin to it. The little guy handling himself rather well.

I'm dreading this. I hear Rosalie say, playing with the her food bit. We all kinda were.

"Carlisle you better not say I've never done anything for him."Emmett whispers so softly for us alone to hear. Twirling some of the pasta on his fork, he raises it in cheers to Ms. D, before bringing it to his mouth. The rest of us following suit.

"Impossible."
