Gwen's Pov

I sat next to Aiden in his medical room, as I have since we moved back into the Sacred Tree.

They have slowly started back the process of rebuilding, which according to Steven will not take long.

I look at the heart monitor, that was flat lined, however according to the healers his vitals and everything was stable.

They timed his heat beat as well, which was twice every two minutes.

I look behind me as the doors open, Benjamin walking in.

"Hey little sis." I smile a bit, turning back to Aidie.

"He'll be okay." I nod.

"How are things outside?" I ask, as he sits in the chair next to me.

"Almost done. Fairies work fast I tell you that." I chuckle.
"We are still looking for Your mom and the others." I look at him.

"Aro is sending Demetri and Felix along with Bella and Edward and your father and they to help find them." I nod.

"Steven also got word from some of the special authorities that it seems Bernard was really just all talk." My eyes widen.

"He was failing badly the past few years, according to the journals they found at the facility we found Henry and them at. It was his main and only facility, but when Anderson came to him for help, that was when he got more funding and it seems, the "New Faitoria" he talked about, was a second facility."

"The people-"

"Safe. They got locations of it and sent a team of people there."

"Honey I believe is to go see them soon. But Gwen..."

"A lot of them died. Seeing as it's been a while, since the facility has been up." I cover my mouth with my hand in disbelief.

"They are going to be brought here, Your mom and Steven are talking about things right now."

"Her father?" He smiles sadly.

"He's with his people. You'll meet him when they come."

"When is that?"

"Three days from now." I look to the door, my mom standing there.

She gives me a small smile, walking in.
"We're going to join Kingdoms again." My eyes widen.

"Fais and Fairies?" She nods.
"The Kingdom of Ter. The leading name of our forefathers, who ruled at a time when Fais and Fairies were one Kingdom." I smile.

"Who will rule?"

"Steven."She answers without hesitation.
"He cares for the people. He'll lead well."

"Don't you want."

"Oh no."She shakes her head.
"I think Gastron and I can agree, the royal life is not for us." I nod.

"What about you?"

"Me?"

"Hmm. The chaos you were born to create has been destroyed. What will you do now with your life?" She comes to my side, kneeling down next to me.

"You have an entire family and support system. The promise of a great future." She plays with the ring on my finger.

I had completed forgot about that.

"What shall our Elementress do now?"

"The facilities?"

"Are being shut down."

"What are they to tell the world of what happened? A lot took place because of me."

"From what I saw, they're saying it's an act of global warming." Benji says, but it didn't change how I felt.

A lot of people were injured and lost their homes because of me. That guilt-

"Don't do that." She hits my hand.
"It was not your fault. That monster knew it would of happened."

"I did too. I should of kept my control, but when he hurt Aiden I-"

"Did what any mother would of done. Protect her child." My eyes fill with tears, and I look down.

It will be ugly at first, but it will be beautiful in the end. I hear a soft voice say. I look up, the room frozen.

"No one can promise that bad things won't happen Gwen." Romona says across the other side of Aiden's bed.
"But at least you can rest knowing there will be good times as well."

"Your purpose of being born is fulfilled Gwen Benedict." She smiles.
"What now shall be your purpose for living?"

She disappears and the room begins to move again.

"Things are okay now Darla." I look from her to Benji, then Aiden.

I'll live for them, I'll live for me.

Two days later

"Calm down Gwen."

"He's suppose to wake up today, and he's not going to see me. Those Kings, Carlisle and Luis are the first faces he will see."

"They have to be sure he's not an immortal child."

"I don't think he will be." Jewel states.
"His mother is an all powerful El boss Queen. I think her genes are stronger than the bastard." She says making me laugh.

"He's up." Rosalie says and I bite my bottom lip. My nerves taking over again.

I don't hear any snarling like when James turned and that worries me.
I don't care about no law, they better not kill my baby.

A few seconds after, The Kings enter the living room, their faces giving off nothing.

"Well-"
"Is-" Jewel and I say at the same time but both stop talking when Carlisle walks in holding a smiling Aiden. Luis right behind him, smiling as well.

The tense atmosphere in the room, releases. Tears coming to my eyes.

"Mommy, did we get the bad guy?" We all chuckle.

I walk up to them, taking him in my arms.
"How?"

"El boss Queen." Jewel repeats, Aro pulling her to stand in front of him.

Thank God.

I hug him tightly, pulling away and kissing up his chubby cheeks.

Aro's phone begins to ring and we all look at him as he answers.
"Afton."

"They're safe." I look up at Carlisle.
"They found them in an abandoned cabin in the woods. Winnie and Ness are doing fine....It seems he never got the chance to do any experiments to them other than the systemic helmet vibrations."

"So Ness is still half breed, and Winnie human?" I ask needing more confirmation. He smiles, kissing the side of my head.

"Yes love. They're okay. You're mother have birth though. Naturally."
He chuckles.

"You're father is going to make Afton godfather." I laugh.

I look to Ms. D who smiles at me.

She hugged me so tightly when we came back to the Sacred tree. Crying into my shoulder.

She says she's okay, but we're keeping our eyes on her. Chosen or not, she had genuine feelings for the man, and we'll be here for her, like she has always been for us.
