Gwen's Pov

Steven and Anderson, were able to calm the situation at the underground facility. Making sure to completely destroy all evidence and trace of it, and handing the rest of the information over to the specific authorities.

I can't believe he had that entire facility under there the entire time.

He abandoned the others, and left with his closet people, and Henry nod they.

I really hope they're okay. Please be okay.

I walk into the meeting room, Carlisle standing to the side talking to my parents.

Heidi and the other two guards assigned to Jewel, stood a far off, talking to Aro. It didn't look like they were talking but you could see that they were.

James surprisingly is doing okay. But even then, Carlisle is keeping a close eye on him for safety precautions.

Ms. D and the others were checked over by the healers here, and after some well needed food, I can say they are doing well.

Esme sat stood in the right hand corner. Bella, Edward and Luis with her. They have been trying to console her regarding Ness, letting her know that it wasn't her fault, but she has not stopped crying.

I walk over to Aiden and Mary in the small play area we made for them. Fredrick stood close by, with the other guard Carl. Rosalie with them.

I think Aiden can sense that something is wrong, but didn't know exactly what it was. I stoop down ruffling his hair.

"Stop mommy." He laughs.

"My big boy." He smiles his cute, chubby cheeks smile. Kissing his head I get up, walking over to sofa.

Wilma and John sitting opposite of me.
"Finally sleeping?" He nods, caressing her head. She could not sleep at all yesterday, worrying for Winnie.

John had to call home, and let them know that they are safe, and that it seems, they have spies living within the town.

He issued for a town wide census to be made, and that no one is to leave or enter until they resolve things.

How am I, You ask?

The final string away, before the rope snaps. They told us of all that happened to them while they were there. What they did to Henry, what his guards said. How I'm the end goal.

He's doing all of this so that he can get to me. Hurting those I care about.

"Love?"

My eyes shift to Carlisle's worried ones, as he kneeled in front of me.

I slowly begin to register just how dark the room is, and how my hands were slightly glowing purple.

"Sorry." I whisper, calming down.

"Darla." My head turns to my mother.

"Why don't we take a walk." She says coming to me. I nod subconsciously, following after her.

We walk into the backyard of the manor, the flowers swaying freely in the wind.

"I always wondered what the wise one meant when she said I had much part to play in this." I keep walking.
"Thought long and hard about it too. Why I was chosen? I thought maybe I had some big thing to do, because of my powers, but then thinking back at everything, teleporting you to Amun, Anderson kidnapping me only to use me to get to you, how we bonded and grew over the years together, I realized the important part I have to play, is just being your mother." I stop walking, looking to her.

"They want you to lose your mind Darla." She holds my face.
"They're trying to use us to do that. I can't say nothing will happen and everything will be all dandy. Things might eat ugly. Someone might b hurt." I feel my heart rate increase.
"But we'll stand together and fight together. You're not alone."

"Henry...Jewel...Winnie...Ness...My birth mom...he has them. I can only imagine what he is doing to them right now." Tears come to my eyes.

"I don't want anyone hurt, why must...why must it be like this?" I cry. She sighs, wrapping her arm around me, holding me tight.

"We'll get though this sweetie."

We walk back inside, everyone looking to us. Anderson and Steven still not in the room yet.

Carlisle walks over to me, as my mom leaves my side, pulling me into a hug.

"Are you okay?" He asks looking down to me.

"As okay as I can be." He hums, hugging me again.

"We'll get through this."

"I hope they're all okay."

"Afton is still following them." Aro says in a mare whisper, but I heard him. Seeing as he was a lot closer to us now.

"Why didn't you say something?" I quietly ask him, his eyes not turning from off of where Aiden and Mary are.

"Because I don't trust that Fai." I stand straighter.

I feel the same way.

Why would he delay us from going after them for so long? It was only when Afton called with direct location, mom teleported us there.

Even then, Edward hasn't stated that anything is off with his thoughts, but something still feels off.

"When they made a run for it. I made sure he knew not to lose them. He'll contact us soon."

Aro moves back to his clan on the blink of an eye, just as the front door opens and Anderson and Steven walk into the room, his son and wife with him.

"The surviving supernaturals have been sent to the new Faitoria and will be taken cared of. The other human scientists are now under the authorities supervision."
I nod.

"I'm going to head over to the house, call me in case of anything Steven."

"I will." He nods. Our eyes make four, as he passes by me. Slowly turning to watch his retreating form.

I look to Edward, and he shakes his head.

Maybe he's not. After all, no one will work with the person who killed their wife.

Anderson's Pov

As soon as I close the door, I let out a frustrated growl.

They were not meant to find home base. They-

My phone begins to ring, and I immediately know who it was.

"How did they know we were there Anderson! We've hid out there for years! And in one instant everything was gone!!"

"Don't shout at me Bernard!! I've been trying to contact you for days now to tell you, that they had someone tailing those guys, but neither of you answered your phones!" I yell at the man.

"We're speeding things up Anderson. We're heading to the location you gave us now. Make sure Carl gets the child to us!" He shouts hanging up. I grab unto my hair, releasing a frustrated breath.

Curse you-
Turning around, I freeze in spot. Shocked to find Fredrick standing there.

"You're working with my father?" His eyes, start to glow.

"Fredrick wait-"

He runs up to me, grabbing me by my neck.
"AFTER EVERYTHING HE DID?!?"

"Calm down boy!" I fight out to say.

"He killed your wife!! Your unborn baby!!"

"Do you really believe I would work with him!? I'm bringing him here so we can get rid of him." He watches me suspiciously.

"You're not-" his eyes widen in shock, and I smile as Evon removes his invisibility. A wicked smile on his face as he injects the yellow serum into his neck, that would make anyone or thing, completely paralyzed.

He loses his senses and strength immediately and I hold him up. Evon taking him and throwing him over his shoulder.

"Time to go brother. The fun's about to start."

"Why?" He slurs.

"Sometimes one has to make sacrifices."

"I thought you cared about me?" Tears well in his eyes, and Evon laughs.

"The only thing I care about Fredrick, is becoming the most powerful Fai, and Bernard is going to help with that."

"You're a fool to trust my father." I chuckle standing up.

"We'll see." He chuckles.
"Let's get out of town, and watch from afar."

3rd Person's Pov

Gwen couldn't help but feel agitated. Her gut giving her an irky feeling.

Something is about to happen. She thought, looking around the room. If Anderson really is with him, he could of told them where we are.

Her eyes widen and she shoots up from the chair.

"Steven."He looks at her.
"Is there a like an escape plan from here for the people?"

"I...yes. I'll release the alarm and they-"

"Do it. Do it now."

"Love what's wrong?" Carlisle cups her face.

"We need to get as many out now." She frantically says.
"Please." She pleads to Steven.

He stares at her confused, but listens. As he goes to call out to the watcher, the man appears in the room.

"We have visitors coming in on the north end your majesty. Seems they got notice of the entrance on that side.

"I told you, you should not of told him!" Harley comes over to his father.

"How far out are they?"

"They seem to have vampires with them. We have about 8 minutes."

"Gale clear the streets now. Let everyone get down to the safe haven." He instructs one of his head guard

"Yes your majesty." He leaves the room, Steven going over to the wall near his desk, passing his hand over it. A small blue light flashes, before the wall opens revealing a tunnel.

"My people know what to do. Quickly go down this tunnel, it'll lead you to the Safe Haven. You'll all be safe there."

Just how much did this man prepare?

"But father-"

"Now Harley. Take care of our people!!" He hugs his father, nodding.

"We have to get Aiden-" Rose bursts through the entrance door opens, with an arm in hand, a crying Mary behind her.
"Rose!!" Emmett runs to her.

"They...They took him." Gwen's eyes widen.
"I tried to stop them, but there were to much...They don't want the girl."

"Where's Anderson and Fredrick-"

"They're not in the manor sir, we checked." Another guard says, coming back inside.

They betrayed us? Steven thought to himself.

"Take the child with you. The rest of us must go now."

Anderson, walks up to Bernard in the northern field, Evon putting Fredrick down near his feet. The moment Steve told him there was an entrance to the Scared tree, aside from the portal, he had Bernard know immediately.

They were to come two days from now, but that stupid man following them ruined it.

"Hello son. Why don't we watch the massacre from here together." He smiles, turning his face towards the town.

Fredrick watches as his father's people, ran toward the town. He can only hope they got many to safety before they can reach.

Fredrick glances to his father, seeing a gleaming smile on his face at the chaos happening before them.

Why is he like this?

He looks down at him.
"Look ahead son."
